in our previous sessions we have discussed the importance of evangelism and the priority of prayer when it comes to telling people about Jesus today we're going to focus on how to share your faith with others we will focus on the following one beginning a witnessing conversation next we'll look at sharing your personal story then we'll look at use scripture to tell the good news then we'll see how we can help people to pray for God's great gift and then finally we'll tell them what happens next so let's get started in this first of all how
to begin a witnessing conversation now we remember from Matthew 28 that Jesus said As You Go Make Disciples that's our title of our session today as you go this means you're going to be having conversations naturally as you go forward in life as you talk to people as you encounter them at school in your home at work wherever it may be you want to encounter them in a natural way but not by your own power instead you want to do it by the power of the Holy Spirit and remember to leave the results to God
this can happen by spending time in God's word and the which is the Bible and in prayer you want to be totally in tune with God so that when you have the opportunity to share with people you are sharing in a very natural way that comes from your relationship with him you're praying for him to lead you as you engage people it's not a question of whether or not he wants you to share the gospel it's how and with whom he wants you to share with people ask him to lead you to the right people
ask him to open the doors to the opportunity and for you have the boldness and the courage to move through that door and share the good news of Jesus so as you go through the day pray for God to open those conversations like I said with family co-workers even people that you meet for the first time I'm going to encourage you that you consider carrying your Bible with you that's a great thing to do because not only will you be able to read from God's word when you have a few moments but it can also
become a conversation starter when people see you carrying it you'll be in a store and somebody may ask you what you're eating or when you're sitting in a coffee shop or something they may ask what is it you're reading or they may they may make a comment oh I used to read that when I was a kid and somehow an an opportunity to begin a conversation takes place so if you're meeting somebody for the first time we're going to I'm going to give you a little acrostic to help you remember how to get into a
conversation the acrostic spells the word cast c a c a like you're casting out the good news for them to hear it so C stands for connection what we mean by connection is we want you to engage in a conversation by asking questions like this so where are you from or if they're from the area here where did you come from how long have you lived here tell me about your family you want to be genuinely interested in them engage with them don't listen to see what you can tell them or listen so you can
get down the road to the next part of your PR presentation instead listen to truly learn about them engage with them and comment on the things that they're sharing with you as you've connected with them talk about activities like what do you do for work or if they're a student where do you go to school what are you studying uh what do you do for fun what are you doing this weekend things like that engaging conversation that shows true interest in who they are and what they're doing through this you may even find that you
have some things in common now don't be that person that when somebody says oh I did this you try to one up them and talk about something greater uh they may say that you know this weekend I'm going to a concert with so and so and you could say oh man I love that group that's great I'm I'm happy you're getting to do that be truly interested in what they have to say so as that goes on then you can also come to the S of the ca a s s is where we get into
spiritual matters now where I live you can't assume people go to church other parts of the country maybe more people go to church but here it's a very small percentage are in church so I don't always start a conversation with where do you go to church if I'm ever talking to him about church I might say hey are you a part of a church like that but other questions that probably are even better are do you consider yourself to be a spiritual person or where are you on your faith Journey tell me about your belief
system what do you believe happens to you after you die these are all questions where you're trying to get to know them better don't try to get in an argument don't go well that's stupid or roll your eyes um I've had people to tell me some pretty outlandish things my responsibility is to learn and be truly interested in understanding who they are and what they believe they might even out of that ask you about your story or it may just flow as a natural part of the conversation if it doesn't come to that you may
say may I share with you some of my personal story or my personal Journey hopefully they will give you permission to share your story now I want to remind you what we talked about at the beginning and we've talked about it before in this course remember to let the holy spirit guide you uh we don't want to push our way in we don't want to force the gospel on some someone look for their receptivity and respond to that even as you are sharing with them be praying that God will soften their heart pray that God
will make an opening for you to be able to continue to share but listen to him as he allows you to move forward in that conversation let him speak to you and guide you in that process so here's a good principle to go by uh one of our church planners said this to me years ago and it stuck with me he said when when they take a step towards us we take a step towards them so when it comes to sharing the gospel you're sharing you're getting in the stories they may they may sense up
or get cold or say man I don't really want to talk about you don't just force through you listen but if they take a step toward you you take a step toward them you want to do your job and let the Holy Spirit do his job your job is to share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Jesus Christ his job is to convince them that it's true remember our definition from before of evangelis evangelism evangelism is sharing the good news of Jesus Christ that's your job and the power of the Holy Spirit that's
his job and leaving the results to God that's what we're trying to do don't try to be the Holy Spirit and force the gospel on them be sensitive to how that opportunity is moving forward now if you ask them if you can share your story and and they say yeah I'd love to hear your story or they agree then that brings us to the next part the letter T in the word cast T is when you tell your story tell your story telling your story is personal and it's powerful someone uh May question what scripture
says or may even question if scripture is true they may question people opinions or argue with them but your story is your story they can't really argue with your story you're telling what's happened to you your story has Authority it it is definitive because it's your experience your story communicates one of the things that we want to know well when relating to people is the power of storying storying helps people to understand things in ways that just facts and figures don't remember Jesus told stories which we call parables in order to communicate your story is
a true story that communicates uh your story relates it it may have there may be something in your story that they can identify with they might even go man yeah I know what you're talking about or yeah that same thing happened to me um affirm that just say you know when they hear something in your story that resonates with them you want to encourage them about that part of the story and the other thing I would say is your story is powerful I'm not talking about your story has to be elaborate and you can talk
about oh I used to be an Axe Murderer but Jesus saved me and now I did all this now obviously if you were an ex- murderer that could be a good part of your story but I wouldn't share something like that because it's not part of my story but my story still has powerful because it's meaning meaningful and personal to me so when you share your story you need to be able to do it briefly people don't want to sit there and listen to you going on about your life for 20 minutes if this is
the first time they met you maybe somebody that knows you well you have those longer conversations but you need to be able and ready to share your story in about 90 seconds maybe it's a minute maybe it's two but kind of aim for that 90 seconds part when you practice your story and we're we're going to talk to you about how to do that in a little bit so there's three main parts that we want you to share in your story first of all in your story you want to talk about your your life before
you made a commitment to follow Jesus my life before I made a commitment to follow Jesus that's the first part the second part how I came to know Jesus personally what was the process by you went from somebody who was lost in sin to become somebody who was a new disciple of Jesus Christ and then the Third thing that you want to share in your story is how Jesus has changed your life since you've come to know him personally so let's look at all three parts of that let's go one by one first of all
my life before I made a commitment to follow Jesus and this section include what your life was like before coming to Jesus sounds simple enough you want to describe it you don't want to embellish it you don't want to try to make yourself sound worse than you were but you want to be honest you want to share about loneliness maybe you had or lack of purpose or questions you might have been as to why am I even here maybe there was fear about the future and fear about what happens to you after you die maybe
you were a person without hope you want to share some of these things again that are true um but don't overstate it so some of us like me I came to Faith at an early age well I had some questions and struggles even at an early age but not what I would probably had if I came to Faith later in life be willing and able to be open and share the true things that have happened to you now this section culminates in the discovery that you were in need of a change and that you recognize
that you had the same problem as the rest of mankind sin you are a person that has a sinful nature that is who you are before you know Christ and you can't save yourself from your sin that needs to be part of the story that you recognize and that you share again be honest and open but don't try to sensationalize now after you do that part you want to answer this next question in the next section which is how I came to know Jesus personally how did that happen in your life was there somebody significant
that that helped you understand your need for Jesus did it happen in your home or a wor ship service or a car uh did it where were you when it happened what what were the circumstances how did it come about how did you discover that God loves you and that Jesus died for your sins how did you come to that awareness when and where were you when you received Jesus as your savior now this part of the story communicates the circumstances and events surrounding your lifechanging encounter with Jesus Christ but it also helps to paint
a picture that it was a real experience for you because you can share the details of it and then finally in the third section you're going to answer how Jesus has changed your life since you came to know him personally what's has your life been different how has it been different you still sin I mean we're all human we still fall short of the glory of God we all sin but there's a difference in it there's a difference in our desire our Direction our Focus Our Hope our purpose this last part of your story communicates
briefly how your life is now different as a result of Salvation you want to indicate the impact he has had on your life and you want to examine statements possibly when you're doing this back in part one where you're saying these were problems I had before I knew Jesus and now that I know Jesus here's how it's helped address those problems here's how he's helped take care of those problems of my life lack of faith or my lack of hope he's answered that by being my Lord and Savior this section should also convey the joy
that is found in following Jesus you don't want to make the Christian Life sound like a drudgery or a bunch of dos and don'ts that's not what it is our life is a life of Joy even when we Face trials James 1 tells us that count it all joy when You Face various trials well we can count it all joy because it goes on to say it's because of what Jesus is doing in you how he's working in you so you want to work on that but before you do what I'm going to do is
I'm going to share with you my personal story I want you to see if you can identify the three parts of the testimony or personal story as I share how I came to Faith in Jesus Christ you know I grew up in the home of a pastor my dad started several churches when I was young and he knew Jesus and loved Jesus and my mom knew Jesus and loved Jesus and so did some of my siblings and I remember thinking because they're all Christians make me a Christian but I remember my sister sitting down with
me one day and helping me understand that wasn't the way it was that I needed to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ we were sitting at the piano when she was helping me to understand it wasn't because of their faith but I needed my own faith and I remember that got me thinking it got me concerned that I didn't know Jesus as my own Lord and Savior and I didn't have a personal relationship with him I hadn't committed my life to him and I didn't know that I would spend forever with him and so
that really kind of made me unsettled it made me concerned and I remember uh looking to God In Prayer even at a young age me to understand Lord and one day we were having a church service it was in an old Auto Auction garage where they'd clear out the cars and we would clean it up and set up chairs and we'd have worship service in there and my dad preached that day and he told us about Jesus and at the end he said if anyone believes that Jesus is calling him them to himself that they
should come and talk with him and pray with him and so I did I went and my dad shared the gospel with me very clearly and prayed with me and Jesus became the Lord of my life that day now I was a young boy so I wasn't like a big Troublemaker or had all sorts of terrible you know bank robberies or stuff like that in my life but coming to Faith in Jesus Christ even at a young age gave me a hope I didn't have before it gave me a confidence I didn't have before and
I'm here to tell you that my life since then has been blessed it's had problems I still mess up I'm human but I've had a confidence and a hope in my relationship with Jesus that I never would have had had I not given my life to him and he's blessed me incredibly given me joy and given me a Wonderful Life in my family and a great opportunity to follow and serve him in Ministry so did you hear the three parts of my personal story that as I shared it with you and how they work together
you notice it didn't take that long but I will tell you if you timed it mine was a little more than 2 minutes long and uh that's okay we're aiming for that 90 second to two minutes but if you do it in two or three minutes it's really great uh you just don't want to go on and on and on where you lose their attention so I want you to do the same thing it's your turn now so here's what I want you to do I want you get a blank piece of paper or open
up a blank file on your computer like a word document write down the three sections that we've been talking about and leave plenty of room after each one of those three for you to write out your story uh what I'm going to give you the three parts again and then I want you to pause the video while you set up and get ready to do it so here are the three parts my life before I made a commitment to follow Jesus how I came to know Jesus personally and how Jesus has changed my life since
I came to know him personally so pause the video while you write your story making sure to answer the three points that I just shared and then once you've done that restart the video so how did it go were you able to write your story of following Jesus if you could that's awesome praise God that you've got that story if you could not write your story about how you trusted your life to Jesus I want to challenge you with this maybe you've not done that yet maybe you know about him but you've not committed to
follow him and so what I want to encourage you to do is find a classmate or reach out to a TA or or or um find a pastor in the area who's a good Bible believing pastor and have them help you on your journey toward following Jesus they can help you know how to give your life to him now if you were able to write your story I've got more homework for you if you weren't we want you to work on having a story as the Holy Spirit leads but if but if you have a
story let me tell you about your homework and yes I said the HW you got homework uh after this session I want you to read your story out loud a few times refine it if you need to and then do it from memory a few times remember it should only be around 90 seconds 2 minutes 3 minutes tops uh so that you don't take too long when you're sharing it if you make it longer now when you actually sit down to share somebody you'll probably add to it and it'll get longer and longer so really
go for that 90 seconds to three minutes once you do that I want you in part of your homework is to share your story with others uh you can share with somebody uh by using the cast method that we talked about earlier the C A and go through those steps to be able to share with them uh your personal story or you could just simply say hey I'm taking this class and I have a homework assignment that I have to share my personal story with someone would you be willing to listen to it and then
talk to me about it give me some feedback and tell me what you think you could do this with other classmates but uh that know you're a Christian or maybe somebody else who knows you're a Christian but it would would be great if you found some people who don't know Jesus and you said I've got homework can I share my story with you it would really help me out and you share the story with them you never know it might oper open the opportunity for you to lead somebody into a relationship with Jesus Christ how
incredible that would be so once you've done that you've made a connection with somebody you've shared your personal story now we're going to get to how you clearly share the gospel through scripture there are a couple of ways that you can do this in in your scripture you can encourage you you can excuse me you can grab your bible and you can underline or highlight the six verses that I'm about ready to give you or you could go to the Internet or go to your Bible app and copy these six verses that I'm going to
give you and paste them to a Word document and keep that that document on the homepage of your phone so that if you get the Opera to share with somebody you can find them quickly and pull up those verses over time if you share these verses often enough as I have you will you'll not only remember the scripture references but you will also be able to memorize the scripture themselves that way if you're out somewhere and you don't have a Bible you can do it from memory but the other thing that's great is um if
somebody a lot of people have Bibles even if they've never read them and you can even ask them hey do you have a Bible they're like yeah uh let me see if I can find it and you show them these verses in their Bible that's a great thing to do but we want to walk before we run so I want to help you start by being able to show them from your Bible or from your phone what these six verses are and how we want you to do that the first verse the first scripture reference
I want you to go and I want you to write that in the front of your Bible the first one is John 3:16 for God so loved the world most famous verse in all of scripture that's the first one so in the front of your Bible write John 3:16 look up in your Bible what page number that's on so you're not having to Fumble through and find it when it's time and if it's on page 1216 you write that next to the reference in the front of your Bible so when you get the chance to
share with somebody you'll remember where it is and you go right to 12:16 and you might be a little nervous the first few times you share so having that kind of help will make it easier for you to share with somebody so then when you turn to John 3:16 you'll share with them the verse and what the stuff that I'm going to share with you to say along with that verse but then over in the margins you write down the second verse and the page number for the second verse and the second verse we're going
to do is Romans 3:23 so on the page where John 3:16 is you've highlighted or underlined the verse in your Bible and over on the margin on the right or the left depending on which page you're on uh left or right page you you would write Romans 3:23 and the page number then when you go to Romans 3:23 you've done the same thing you go to the next verse which is Romans 6:23 and so on so I'm going to give you the six verses I'm also going to give you some key words and what I
want you to do is take these down and then you can pause the video and go copy these verses into your phone or mark them in your Bible or do both once you've done that come back and start the video again so here are the verses the first verse is John 3:16 and our key word to help us remember what we're talking about here is the word love John 3:16 and the word love the second one and you can write that word in the margin next to John 3:16 as well so it can kind of
help you remember um the next one is Romans 323 and the key word there is all a l l all and uh so you put that one down the next one is Romans 6:23 this one has a couple of words wages and gift Romans 63 623 Romans 623 wages and gift after that we have Luke 133 and the word there is uturn like when you're driving and you do a U-turn in the street the next one is John 1:12 and we got a couple of words the key words there are God's children and the final
verse is revelation 3:20 no rejects Revelation 3:20 so pause your Bible uh go Mark your bi or pause your video go Mark your Bible add the verses to your phone do either or both however you're going to do it and then once you've done that start the video again e now that you've marked all the verses or put them in your phone uh I want you to follow along with you me as I share with you these verses their illustrations and transitions to the next verse so please note that when I'm sharing this today I
may be sharing it fast faster than you would in a conversation with someone but part of that is because our time on the video is short um I also want to encourage you to do something we can't do today when you're sharing with somebody interact with them along the way ago does this make sense to you or do you have any questions or what is this what is what do you hear this saying to make sure that they are engaging with what you're sharing with them you can interject those kind of questions or statements to
make sure that they're following along with what you're sharing with them so here's here we go John 3:16 Says for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life this means that God's love is like a Father's Love a father who loves you very very much and wants the best for you he wants to give his best to you and God the Father gave his best for you and me he gave his one and only son Jesus but there's a
problem Romans 3:23 says for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God what does that mean all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God God is perfect God is Holy but because we've sinned we can we fall short of the perfect glory of God and we can never be in relationship with him we we're Sinners and we can't get there on their own so it's kind of like this everyone who's ever Liv since Jesus is a sinner and do you understand that you're a sinner and I I want to
ask some questions maybe help you understand this how many times does it take for somebody to steal before they become a thief how many times does someone have to murder before they become a murderer well how many times does someone have to sin which means that we do something that is against God's will before they are a sinner separated from God just once we've all done that and we've done it many many times we are all sinners and scripture tells us in Romans 6:23 that we have to pay for our sin here's what it says
for the wages of sin is death if you work a job you expect to get paid in Romans it tells us that sin has a payment to death it's not talking about a physical death but it's talking about a spiritual ual death a death in which we are separated from God for all eternity the worst part of Eternity or a literal hell is being separated from the love of God and it's because of our sin it's what we are ow it is what we are paid but that verse in Romans 6:23 it doesn't stop there
it says there it tells us there's good news it says the wages of sin is death but the next part of the verse says but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our lord some translations of the Bible say the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our lord because a gift is free sin leads to Eternal death but because of the gift of Jesus we can have eternal life this life is a gift it's completely free there is nothing we can do to earn it but if I were
to take my Bible here and I were to offer my Bible to you as a gift it's totally free there is nothing you can do to earn it what do you have to do before it's yours you have to receive it you have to accept the gift God isn't going to force the gift on you he's going to give you the opportunity to receive it and and how do you do that you do that by what the Bible calls repenting Luke 13:3 says I tell you the truth I tell you no unless you repent you
too will all perish I tell you no but unless you repent you too will all perish repent means that you're going One Direction and you literally do a U-turn and you go in the opposite direction you were heading towards sin and death but because of God's Gift in Jesus Christ you are able to turn and follow him and have a relationship with him you do this by his power and his grace at work in us not by anything that we've done and Jesus promises us that if we do that we will become God's children John
1:12 says yet to all who did receive him to those who believe in his name he gave the right to become the children of God it says to all who receive him if you believe in him and you place your trust in him and you commit to follow him you become his child and just as our children receive blessings from us and they receive what we have we become God's children and we receive His blessings we receive his goodness and his gifts and we can be confident in this you don't have to worry that you're
going to trust God and then he's going to reject you he's not going to do that Revelation 3:20 says here I am and that's Jesus talking I stand at the door and knock and if anyone hears my voice and opens the door I will come in and eat with him and he they with me Jesus promised to eat with the people and be with the people in jesus' time you wouldn't eat with just anybody you would only eat with people that you identified with that you related to he is telling us that God will not
reject us he will accept us he will do life with us but he will not force himself on us remember he didn't knock the door down he didn't barge in he didn't break in he knocked and waited for us to respond and open our hearts to him so this is what can happen in your life do you understand the scriptures that I've been sharing with you is there anything that would keep you from trusting your life to Jesus right now are you willing to give your life to him right now so for those of you
who are watching this video as students that was the end of the presentation but I want to ask you you this if you've not committed your life to Jesus to trust and follow him as your lord and savior that means your boss and the one who saves you from the your sins this is not a rhetorical question are you willing to give your life to Jesus right now I'm going to share a prayer with you and later on you can come back and play it back so you can kind of learn the prayer but I
want you to pray this prayer out loud where you are now and I'm going to pray apart and I'll be silent and you can repeat it out loud but I want you to know these are not magic words you're not saying an incantation and all of a sudden you're saved this needs to be a prayer from the heart committing yourself to follow Jesus you are making a permanent lifelong commitment to turn from sin to follow him that is the prayer that we're talking about here so really consider the words of this prayer and pray them
if you're willing to commit them to Jesus right now pray this with me out loud after I pray it I'm going to pray just as you would dear God I know that I'm a sinner I know that I have done things wrong I know that I can never get to you by my own good works because I fall short God I ask you to come into my life to be the Lord of my life I pray that you will help me to follow Jesus to have him be my Lord and Savior that he will save
me from my sin and help me to try to be more like him each day Lord I Thank you for forgiving me of my sin and I thank you for making me a new creation in you your follower a Christian so Lord I Thank you for all these things and I thank you in Jesus name amen now if you've prayed that prayer and it is a commitment from the heart and God is drawing you to himself you can know based on the scriptures we just looked at that you are now a child of God so
guess what you can go back and do the homework assignment that's not why we did it but you can you have a story to tell even though you don't have a lot to share about your life after Christ because it was 10 seconds ago you can begin to tell people about the time when you trusted your life to Jesus Christ and that time is now as a matter of fact I want you to look around the room you're sitting in or the park you're sitting in or wherever it may be and make a mental note
of that place to remind you of the time when you came to Jesus and to be confident that you are his child now what I want to ask all of you to do whether you just prayed that prayer or not I want you to go back I want you to rewind uh this video and listen to the prayer and jot down some things from the prayer it can be a prayer from your heart but you'll see some things that I prayed in there which is admitting to God your sin that's a big part of the
prayer you're asking him to be the Lord of your life to be your boss and to save you from your sin and you're thanking him for doing what he said he would do and saving you and making him you his child uh so write out your own prayer it doesn't have to to be the same every time but remember you're leading somebody else in it sometimes they'll just want to pray their own prayer from their heart and that's okay too that's great but sometimes people they they struggle for the words and you're just helping them
along that Journey so take a few minutes to do that um and you can wait till the end of this video do it but I'm going to just remember you want to come back and you want to take that step of writing down and even practicing a prayer if you will so once you or someone else has given their life to Jesus what are the next steps here's a few things that I want to encourage you to do number one tell somebody remember back to the beginning of this As You Go Make Disciples well now
it's your turn go tell somebody you want to find somebody who's a Christian who's going to be excited for you about what God has just done in your life and you want to tell them about it they're going to be thrilled for you they can pray for you and they can help you on the journey you also want to go tell somebody who doesn't know Jesus think about somebody you know somebody you love that needs to do the same thing and and go ask them say can I tell you what just happened can I tell
you about what God's done in my life and you share it with them and who knows you may have the opportunity to help them do the same thing to hear and learn about Jesus and to pray to receive him as your as your lord and savior the other thing I want to encourage you to do is read your Bible read it daily read it as much as you can join a Bible study with other people to study God's word uh get together with others in a worship service to hear God's word preached you want to
hear from God you want to understand what he says about himself so that you don't make up your own idea of who God is you want to know him better who he really is and then you want to pray you want to have a life of prayer taking time aside to pray but also praying as you go through your day Bible tells us to pray without ceasing as you see an opportunity to pray or something to pray about just pray it in your heart you don't you don't have to quit driving the car if you
see something you can even be praying for something I don't know how many times I've been driving down the road I've seen an accident and I'm praying for the people that were in the accident and their family and the First Responders who are caring for them praying is like breathing remember we talked about this before breathing in which is listening to him listening to God and we want to listen more than we talk because God knows more than we do but prayer is also breathing out sharing your heart with him and the more you come
in tune with him the more you connect with him the more he gives you the desires of your heart as you pray them back to him the other thing I want to encourage you to do is be baptized this is not an option for a Christian uh remember Matthew 28 he says Go Make Disciples and he tells us to baptize them in the name of the father son and the Holy Spirit and we're to teach him to observe everything that he's taught us but he's very clear you are to baptize them baptize means to immerse
it means for somebody to go and symbolically die to to their sin and be risen to walk in a new life and it's a way of telling the world that you belong to Jesus so you need to be baptized and you need to encourage new Christians to do the same um this is one of the ordinances that God commands his church to follow and that's another part you need to be a part of a church God never intended for Christians to be on their own he never intended for them to do life solo he never
intended for them to just go out and worship in nature and not be a part of a church the church is your spiritual family uh the church is also described as a body and you need the whole body to help the body be healthy to grow together if you're not in a church not only is it not helping you grow but you're a part of the body that's missing and you're hurting the others in church instead we need to gather together to do life with others to love one another serve one another pray for one
another and do so much more uh so these are things you want to encourage people to do what's next and even encourage them to write down what they should be doing next and follow up with them to help make sure that they're doing that and once they've done all that to kind of close your time about this doesn't mean you have to get up and walk away maybe you talk with them for a long time and you you start sharing more but after you've shared these things ask may I pray for you one more time
and you pray and you thank God for what he's done in their life today so you're praising God but you're also affirming where they can hear that you know God has done this new work in them so I'm going to pray for those of you who maybe have given your life to Jesus today let me do that right now God we know that you love us more than we can ever understand and there are people watching this video today I believe that have given their life to Jesus they want to be his followers his disciples
and Lord uh I want to thank you for that first and foremost because it's your doing not mine not theirs it's your doing that they are now your children it's by your grace they are your children and that is something that you promise them if if uh you place them uh in Jesus hand as they're as children uh nobody can take them away they're their eternity in you is secure and so God we praise you for that and God I just pray that you will affirm and confirm in their hearts the reality of what's taking
place today help them to not doubt and if they do doubt to come back and you remind them of the time and place that they gave their life to Jesus and affirm in them uh what you have in store for them in the future so for all these things we praise you we worship you and we thank you in Jesus name we pray amen now um here's what I want to encourage you to do I want you to go put all this together and you can do it at the end of the video but to
go and I want you to sh to practice in conversations I want you to practice out loud uh sharing scripture or your story if they allow you so practice sharing your story and then practice sharing scripture and what that scripture means and once once you do all that um find somebody to share it with don't just let this be an exercise but actually let it be something that as you go you make disciples and if they say yes and they want to give their life to Jesus you can help them pray and move forward and
and uh we will be so excited for that now uh I want to give you a little bit at the end here it may be beyond my time so this will probably be optional but I I'm going to put in a video it's about five minutes long and it's a video from pendulette and pendulette is a world famous magician now if you don't recognize the name you maybe will if I say pen and Teller he is pen of pen and Teller a very famous uh magician uh Duo and he tells the story about when a
man gave him a Bible now you have to understand pen does not believe in God uh but in his story he will help us see the importance of us as Christians sharing the gospel with others so enjoy this video
