all right I'm assuming if you clicked on this video that means that you are looking for a job in United States let me just you know put it out there that job market is extremely brutal for international students now I will say that it is better than 2023 but it's still very very bad if you're someone who's watching from India this might be something that you should also consider uh and hopefully this will help you so at this point you like okay Yuri I really need your help like I need to figure out what should
be my strategy just someone just tell me what I need to do and how do I get job or an internship and my hope is that I provide you a strategy that is what I teach in my job hunting course and I'm giving it to you for free because I know that you are hurting and you're in the midst of like finding a job so hopefully this strategy will help you I teach many other strategy and networking and resume and Linkedin and all of it in my job hunting course I'll put the link in the
description go check out but if you are completely new to my channel my name is yudi I'm a senior product manager at a fintech startup and I have been a hiring manager for last 6 years so I understand how the hiring works and hopefully this is a strategy which will help you understand maybe a different approach than what you have been doing a lot of people just do blind approach uh where you are mass applying and hoping that something will stick out so I'm giving you a different approach and try it out like maybe split
your time instead of spending 3 hours blindly applying maybe split 1 hour and just do what I'm teaching you today and maybe it will work out I don't know but I know a lot of my students are doing this so hopefully you do it as well and let me know if it works out or not I'm going to show you a tool which is mind-blowing tool it's called F1 higher and yes this is a sponsored video but I would have made this video even if they were not sponsoring because I teach this tool extensively to

you want a relatability factor I'm going to do India just because I know majority of you might be from there and that's about it you can even F filter it down if you want to further but let's click on search and you can see this is the data it's telling you what does this mean in 2023 again you can see this is the year in 2023 16 green cards were filed from for the students who are in Chico State it that's not did you can also go back to 10 years back to find all that
they have past 10 years of data so you can find what happened in 2022 2021 and all of that but let's stick to 2023 for now uh and you can see the companies these 16 people are working in so EXL my this is my previous company confluent Apple chime chime is interesting okay deoy DocuSign form factor so these are the company who have already trusted Chico State students so if you are going to Chico State or California State University these are the company you should start with these 16 companies probably should be your base and
then you start reaching out to them again Chico State seems a little smaller in numbers but we'll look at another example but now let's look at like like you know it's there are so many of them Adobe Airbnb doc you sign so I'm like okay chime seems very interesting I want to see Chimes data so I'm going to click on that it tells me this person California State University Chico Masters was in computer science master's degree backend engineer their salary as well yes you get to know because all of this data is publicly available on
USCIS so now you click on the company and boom this is the magic sauce you get to see every single HR person who were involved in this process so including CTO you can see the HR person the people manager operation so these are the HR team you have direct access to them and you can reach out to them uh by sending the C email for that you need to buy my course on teaching you how to send C email but you get the point right like now you get this so one is this but that's
not it you also want to do strategic networking what I mean by that if you go to link let's go to LinkedIn real quick so here is the LinkedIn obviously this is my profile we can quickly look at search option I'm going to click on search I am going to click on people then I'm going to filter it on chime because that is the company that we are interested in right so chime and click on show results now we know that they so these are the people that are working in chime but we want to
specifically know that they their school was California State University so we're going to go into school and then just type Chico and click on show results now there are nine people you know obviously like you should be able to figure it out who the person is by looking at the job title and all of it you have narrowed down to who this person is going to be okay assuming in this case maybe it's daai maybe it's Dana whoever that person is it might not be Dana but but you get my point you know exactly who
that person is you have to do now Outreach to that person saying like hey I am also Chico State student I see that you're working there I see there's a position available I'm a good fit here is why I would love your love to get on a call if there's a position is open again if you're doing a normal Outreach then there's a different approach so my point is that now you have a starting point and every single day if you just spend one hour going through this data this is going to drastically change where
you're shooting your arrows instead of blindly applying to 50 jobs a day now you know there's a lot more strategic thought into who you apply to cold Outreach cold email like you know why you're applying to that person Etc there's a common threat threads let's look at some famous universities us USC or San Jose State University right so let's look at San Jose State University keeping major computer science let's keep the everything else same and now there is 46 Green cards and which are the companies that are hiring you can see Amazon Cisco VMware Salesforce
so and so blah blah blah Adobe all the big tech companies are there and again Roku so for example if you click on Roku you can see this person did this senior data scientist is their role you can click on Roku and oh wow look at the salary 183 to 229 again you're not doing it for the salary you also have now the email address of the HR person but again we can go do the same thing instead of this let's remove this let's do Roku click on that click on S result uh and they
did not go to Chico State so we click on this and click on SOS estate nice so we what was the title senior data scientist we can also do title as well if we want to Let's click on keywords um title right there uh data s scientist there's only one person senior data scientist whose green card is in process who went to senos State you know exactly who to reach out to this is the power of the tool you should be leveraging you now have 46 companies who you know who to reach out to how
to make the connection and all of it of course you have there's an art of cold emailing and cold messaging for that I'll probably make a separate video or you if you can't wait you can you know come and buy my course uh you get this tool for one month premium access and you will also get 14 days extra all the details are in the description but again my point is instead of going blindly take 1 hour every single day start doing this exercise this is more strategic this is more thought out versus blindly applying
this tool does a lot more than just what I showed you that was one aspect of it but then there are multiple other aspects of it uh let's take a look at some of the jobs we can look at obviously Microsoft we already know let's look at stripe if you want to see if the company or maybe not stfe K Force right like this company is in Dallas product manager payments and digital looks like a perfect match for me so I'm going to see e verification I'm going to click on it are they verified yes
they are this is when they applied for it so and so forth we can also look at H1B LCA data these are like past H1B data stuff that they have done you can see who the title is what was the salary for that H1B person where the companies is where this case stat is certified Etc mindblowing also you can see if they have done done green card yes they have done green card for electrical engineer lead analyst where it is where are citizenship is Nepal so and so forth so the tool has so much of
