[Peter] Sonic is fast, and he's fast as hell, everyone knows this, tell the truth, right! But do you know exactly when Sonic reached his peak speed? Like, fast?
At what point in the franchise did he run the fastest? You don't know that, do you? Well, in this video you will find out.
So come with me to see how it was on See It Was, let's go, guys! [Peter in super high-pitched voice] Hey Nerd, what's up? Peter h- [Peter] Hey Nerd, what's up?
Peter here! See, if I had fast speed? Yeah but I'm not Sonic, right?
But as I said, in this video you will find out when Sonic reached his maximum speed and how it happened. For those who follow our videos about Sonic, you should already be connected, because it's a moment that I've already commented on a few times in previous videos, mainly putting this as a source of comparison, as a feat, right? Because this is a hell of a feat, for us to use it.
The moment when Sonic reached maximum speed was not in games, nor in animations, much less in theaters. It was in the comics, guys. To be more specific, the moment happened in issue 19 of Archie Comics' Sonic magazine, in an arc that was called Night of 1,000 Sonics.
So let's talk about this story, but only after you smash this like button and already commented: which character in all fiction that is faster than Sonic, will you be able to get it right? Comment below, I'll give a little heart to whoever got it right, let's get started in the comments. Let's go!
The comic book story begins when a kind of dimensional portal opens out of nowhere in the Archie Comics Sonic universe, and out of it comes a kind of cyborg Sonic. This Sonic came from a universe where Dr Robotnik turned all heroes into cyborgs. But this turned out to be a shot in the foot, since by transforming the general into a cyborg, the heroes became stronger and managed to overcome the villain.
But the Robotnik of that universe bounced back when he himself decided to transform into a cyborg as well. He was now called Robo-Robotnik and practically defeated the cyborg heroes of that universe. Cyborg Sonic survived and fled to a space between universes called the Cosmic Interstate, he sought help from other versions of him from other realities.
The problem is that Robo-Robotnik also found this path and was now looking to dominate the entire Multiverse. And after hearing this story, Sonic didn't think twice and decided to help Cyborg Sonic in this fight to save the Multiverse. But only the two of them would not be able to carry this responsibility, so the solution would be to find more Sonics.
And so, in a very short time of just 1 day, Sonic traveled to about 1000 parallel realities and recruited 1000 alternate versions of himself, so in general he went to face Robo-Robotnik. And keep this information that it is very important. Sonic visited at least 1000 universes in a time span of just 1 day!
Back in history, it doesn't take long for Robo-Robotnik to appear to try to dominate that universe, but the Sonics army ends up getting the help of that universe's own Robotnik, who decides to ally with Sonic to prevent his counterpart from dominating the whole thing. After all, if there's a version of Robotnik that would rule the Multiverse, the Robotnik of the main comic book universe wanted that someone to be himself. Anyway, a meeting takes place, and Robotnik comes to the conclusion that his counterpart is after a cosmic artifact called the Giant's Hand, which was located somewhere on the Cosmic Interstate called the Neutral Zone.
So, Sonic's army leaves for the Cosmic Interstate to try to find the Neutral Zone and the Giant's Hand. They manage to find it, but Robo-Robotnik was also smart and teamed up with an evil version of Sonic, who had already faced Sonic from the main universe in an earlier comic book adventure. So we had there: the Robo- Robonitik allied to the evil Sonic against an army of Sonics from various realities allied to a Robotinik from our reality, right?
The evil Sonic stole the Giant's Hand that the heroes had found, and a fight takes place right there in the space between the universes. The evil Sonic was defeated, but he managed to transport the Giant's Hand to Robo-Robotnik, who used it to build his own giant robot, which he named Giant Borg. The Robo-Robotnik then began to invade the main universe piloting the Giant Borg to dominate the whole thing.
The Sonics army was upset with this situation, but they decide to unite and go for the giant robot. And so, with the united form of 1000 Sonics, Robo-Robotnik was defeated. Cyborg Sonic takes Robo-Robotnik's decapitated head and takes him back to the universe itself.
Robotnik from the main universe, on the other hand, even wanted to take the pieces of the destroyed Giant Borg to start his campaign of domination across the multiverse himself. But he forgot that he was in a place literally full of alternate versions of Sonic, so he screwed up pretty well and went home sucking his thumb, that's what he had left. To prevent Robotnic, or any alternate version of Robotnik, from taking the pieces and rebuilding the Giant Borg, the heroes decide to distribute the big robot parts across all 1000 universes, with each alternate version of Sonic taking care of that part.
And so the adventure ended. Huh, Peter? But that's it?
And when did Sonic use his maximum speed? IT'S CLICKBAIT, RIGHT, PETER? Calm down, yes, this moment happened, it just wasn't highlighted in the narrative now, I'm telling you.
Remember the important moment I told you to keep the information? Well, at that exact moment. How much do you think Sonic had to run to get to 1000 universes and come back in just one day?
In the Cosmic Interstate scenario itself, there is a sign indicating the distance between the universes, which would be 148 thousand light years away. Yes, here we go: Sonic ran 148,000 light years, doing it a total of 20 times, and all in ONE DAY! For you to have an idea, 1 light year away is the equivalent of 9.
46 trillion kilometers. This means that, in order to travel between universes and recruit as many alternative Sonics as he could, especially in 1 day, Sonic had to run at a speed of about 2 BILLION TIMES THE SPEED OF LIGHT. Yes, with this feat, Sonic from the comics not only reached the speed of light, he managed to OVERCOME that speed by 2 billion times.
This was Sonic's greatest feat in terms of his speed, the highest level that any other version of the Blue Hedgehog has achieved. Guys, not even the games version is far from reaching that, ok. And just to point out, he did it WITHOUT USING ANY POWER UP, you know, no artifacts to make him faster.
That is, there was no help here from the Chaos Emeralds or the Super Sonic form, damn. Sonic did it all by himself, at most with the help of his alternate versions. This is a feat that Sonic has never repeated in any other media, at least that we've seen, I don't know, I don't know if you've ever seen anything like this, right.
Will the Sonic of the games or the Sonic of the movies reach this mark? And what did you think of this “Sonic in the Multiverse of Madness” story? COMMENT!
