Once Upon a Time in the rugged Wilderness of Midian there lived an old Shepherd named Moses he tended his father-in-law Jethro sheep finding solace in the vast expanse of the desert little did he know that his life was about to change forever one scorching day as the sun hung low in the sky Moses noticed something peculiar on the slopes of Mount Horeb a Bush was a blade its Flames dancing with an otherworldly intensity but what baffled him even more was that the bush remained unscathed its leaves green its branches intact curiosity peaked Moses approached the
burning bush as he drew near a voice echoed from within Moses do not come any closer take off your sandals for the place where you are standing is Holy Ground trembling Moses removed his sandals and listened The Voice revealed itself as the god of Israel the same God who had heard the cries of his people enslaved in Egypt God had seen their misery and now he had a mission for Moses to lead the Israelites out of bondage from the hands of pharaoh and into freedom but who am I Moses stammered I am not eloquent I
am slow of speech who do I tell the Israelites sent me supposed I'm asked God's reply was simple yet profound I am who I am tell the Israelites that I am has sent you God also told Moses to tell the Israelites Jehovah the God of your forefathers the god of Abraham the god of Isaac and Jacob has sent me to you in those words God revealed his eternal existence his immediacy and his unwavering commitment to rescue his people to prove his power God performed Miracles through Moses he turned a staff into a snake and back
again and even made Moses's hand leprous then healed it armed with these signs Moses returned to Egypt confronting pharaoh and demanding the release of the Hebrew slaves the burning bush became a symbol a beacon of hope for generations to come it taught Moses that God's fire could consume without destroying illuminate without scorching and so with Newfound courage Moses embarked on his extraordinary Journey leading the Israelites toward the promised land god through Moses took the Israelites away from the hands of the Tyrant pharaoh and took them to the promised land of Canaan flowing with milk and
honey and the bush it continued to burn a reminder that sometimes the most extraordinary moments occur in the ordinary places the places where God chooses to reveal himself
