you know how you have to crouch when doing a ladder jump to get the maximum distance well this actually isn't true at all if you thought this you're probably either old or learned from an old person because this actually used to be a thing if there was a far ladder jump you'd get there but slide off the ladder unless you were crouching since crouching on ladders or Vines pauses your descent it gives you time to get back up but this was changed in 1.14 and now you simply have to hold jump to do the same

thing so if you ever find yourself failing a ladder jump just make sure you're holding space and it'll be much easier
