hello everyone and welcome to module 3 setting the foundations in this video we're going to cover basically some ground rules we're going to build some sort of uh really just sort of the base of everything so you can run successful Facebook marketing campaigns without an issue we're going to talk about the rules um that Facebook has that you really want to follow every single day you want to keep them in mind we're going to show you exactly what type of things uh Facebook requires um as the last thing we want is for your ad account to shut down if you're an avid Facebook ads user you'll know what this means if you haven't used Facebook ads before basically what Facebook does if you don't comply with their very strict rules they will disable your ad account and you won't be able to advertise your business so we're going to show you what you need to set up we're going to give you some templates and we're also going to create our marketing manager if you don't have that already so even if you are an avid Facebook user still watch along with this video is there's going to as there's going to be some very important pointers that you want to keep in mind as well so without further Ado let's get into it here's what we're going to cover all right we're going to cover the rules of the Facebook game um a basic checklist for ad account account survival and this is a checklist that you want to follow religiously every single day when it comes to running advertising campaigns as if you don't follow these rules Facebook will one day shut down your account and basically stop all advertising on your business and maybe sometimes even worse it will disable it right um we run a lot of ads on Facebook and we follow these rules every single day as you know Facebook ads is our bread and butter we we make a gigantic stream of Revenue through this um and we're going to show you how you can make a gigantic streaming Revenue through Facebook as well and that's why you want to keep this machine rolling at all times we're going to set up our website terms and conditions privacy policy and a couple of other things these things are just required by Facebook but they're very easy to do and I'll show you how to do it we will set them templates for you um then the last thing is we're going to set up our business manager for Facebook uh we're going to set up our ad account which we're actually going to advertise from and we're going to set up our fan page if you haven't already most of you probably will I'd say 99. 9% um of you but then if you have I'm going to show you how you connect can connect it to your ad account and your business manager so let's go into it let's get into it the rules of the Facebook game what are the rules that you want to follow religiously daytoday um and yeah what is that what is what is sort of Facebook's book of law all right so Facebook is a platform and platforms have rules you need to follow if you want to stay on the platform Facebook is incredibly ruthless when it comes to disabling accounts shutting down people when you do not follow their very strict guidelines and as in the fitness industry you can very easily break these rules due to you know putting you know weight you know due to you know a lot of um a lot of our ads focusing on getting a better lifestyle right losing weight and stuff like that which can be a very very touchy uh touchy um it's which is a very touchy subject for Facebook so you want to um you want to apply it just right so you don't get your ad account disabled right because as a um a lot of you might not notice Facebook's number one concern is the user experience people have when you when they use the Facebook platform they care about this more than money and they will be ruthless with you if you harm their user experience even if you spend a ton look we spend a ton on Facebook and they're still incredibly ruthless with us right they're still because it doesn't matter how much money you spend and a lot of you might not believe this but Facebook's number one goal isn't data isn't money it's user experience as that is their bread and butter and as long as you know that that's what keeps people on the platform right so they want to make sure it's protected at all cost their second goal is making money right so you always want to make sure all right Facebook's number one concern is user experience is this ad userfriendly will people like this or will I hurt them with this right so think at all times how does my setup look from the perspective of a Facebook employee or a fraud bot as usually when your ad accounts get disabled or your ads get flagged right it goes through a bot scans for messages or sentences or words which I'm going to show you which words to avoid as well in different videos um as you know Facebook has this these incredibly Advanced bols that look for that and sometimes an actual Facebook employee will look at your ads and judge from it so you always when when creating this kind of stuff you want to make sure if I was a Facebook employee would I accept this right so how do my ADD look from the perspective of a Facebook employee or approval bot always ask yourself that question when running ads how do I look from my markets perspective from your prospect from the people in your location and close to you how do I look is this something that people would want to see you know with a 10-day free trial 7-Day free trial it isn't very hard um to get you know get a lot of good attention as people love that type of stuff but you want to make sure you aren't hurting people's feelings you want to make sure you aren't too ruthless with your messaging as you know sometimes you can get really uh we do this a lot of time as well you know we kind of just point out certain flaws and some people don't like that when their flaws are pointed out so they'll flag your ad and Facebook will shut it down without question okay so you want to always keep that in mind so what does good and bad look like think about what a scammer looks like on Facebook with their fan page you've probably seen them you've probably you probably have a vague idea of what a scammer really is you know um think about what uh you know think about their business manager setup their ads their landing pages and their core website right and if anything if you just think about what a scammer would set up all these things as right and you want to make sure that you don't you your your website doesn't look like that your landing page as trust me Facebook has an amazing algorithm and an amazing automated machine that will check everything they will check your they will check your website every single page every single word that is on there they will check your Facebook page your landing pages your ads they will check it ruthlessly through through Bots right and also people right so now think about what a legit company looks like an actual company that grows grows and grows I would just choose a a billion dollar company and you know that's been that's running Facebook ads and that's doing an amazing job at it um and just think about does my company look like an actual legit company right because people Facebook wants businesses on there real businesses that are just there that just there to advertise their business in an ethical matter right they're not there for scammers on there they're not there for people make trying to make a quick Buck trying to hurt people's feelings right Facebook stereotypes people who look similar to the bad guys even if they're good so make a huge effort to look good so make a huge effort to look good right as you can be you know your intentions can be incomplete you know completely valid and true to Facebook's rules but they don't care about that if their first glance is this is a scammer this is is not a guy that we want on Facebook advertising they will delete your account okay and you do not want that guys this is going to be a massive tool that you will use daily to grow your business Okay so we've got a checklist for you and this will also be available in the download section below this video um and I would just put this on your wall put this on your desktop just something that you you can always or just look at this every single time you're on Facebook um and try to launch some ads right so have a clean business manager setup with a registered company credit card address and it's all congruent so we'll show you how to set this up in a second um but a business manager is basically just where all the businesses it's just a manager where all the businesses are when they advertise from you just want to make sure that all the data is there every tab is filled in with accurate information like uh you want to use credit cards um you know or bank accounts PayPal is a big no no never use PayPal when using Facebook Facebook H PayPal they will shut your account down or at least disable it for 24 hours right um make sure your company's registered I'm guessing all of your companies are registered but if it isn't get that registered right now have a website set up with pages of content so one to three blogs or resources you know pictures videos just some content that people can scroll through they can watch your company things about your company you know just some some added juice to to the um to the to the website right you want to have a contact form in there contact so with your email address phone number address right you want to have that you want to have a terms and privacy policy terms and conditions page and a privacy policy Facebook absolutely needs those two things we we'll show you how to set that up in just a second right your terms and conditions and privacy policy if you have one um or if you're using a franchise go to the main fra franchise website as they'll usually have these two so if um if you're in a franchise and your franchise has a terms and conditions and a privacy policy that's fine because if you're using the same domain name say you're a nine round or kickboxing or an Anytime Fitness you guys are using the same you know you guys are using anytimefitness. com right so that's fine um that those websites are completely fine as you know that's the franchise website and it probably have those things there okay if you guys have your own website even if you're in a franchise like CrossFit and you don't have these things there stay along with this video stay along with this video anyway right um but we'll show you how to set those up in a second have a clean Facebook fan page set up with likes recent content posted up toate about info and photos Facebook wants a company that advertises uh the companies that adverti to actually be active on Facebook and just have normal fan pages they want fan pages with likes on there so if if you have less than 100 likes you know try to get them more we'll show you in a second how to do that post at least once a week you know something simple a picture of a group class a picture of the gym doesn't matter a meal plan doesn't matter keep it posted on there keep up to about info right don't have different a different website name and a different Facebook fan page keep it all congruent and have photos there okay with people in there preferably Facebook loves people okay um so don't log into your Facebook's ad account which will show you how to set up in just a second from your personal Facebook account what what we're going to set up in a second a Facebook business manager ad account is something separate from Facebook right it's the same as google.
com and Gmail and and mail. google. com and calendar.
google. com um it's the sort of the same system so it's under the facebook. com domain name but it's a different website entirely and you're going to want to bookmark business manager instead of going into Facebook on your personal account and then finding business manager through that you want to bookmark business manager as Facebook uh Facebook security is top-notch and you know they'll flag your account if you do that a lot so you just want to go in through business manager every single time and bookmark that um which I'll show you how to set up in a second and that's where you want to bookmark so don't use images that will piss people off no red borders no arrows explosions use normal images and we'll show you how to do this in ads as well um I know that a lot of you some some may think that you need a bunch of design teams you know no Facebook likes Facebook's like normal pictures with no letters in there just normal pictures of people and that's the pictures we're going to use in ads as well as those who work the best real people pictures that people see on Facebook anyway group photos people laughing stuff like that that's what you want to post in your Facebook group as well don't and don't post any lame stock photos they're just they're not even not only because Facebook doesn't like them but they're also just not going to get you any results and people you know people see that people will see that with one simple glance and you know they'll think wow this is unprofessional um always just use you real images from your own gym right uh don't reply to people's negative comments so we're going to run ads and you're going to get some negative comments that's just the that's just the the rules of the game that's just what happens okay negative comments are fine right as long as you're getting results and making money who cares about the negative comments when you see those when you're running ads delete them ban the person who commented it and ignore it there you go do not get into a discussion with people on Facebook comments guys it's the biggest mistake you can make act like a professional you're a business act like you're Coca-Cola like you're godamn Coca-Cola okay do you think Coca-Cola would reply to hate comments no they wouldn't and you're going to do the same you can ignore it or you can delete it and ban the person so he can never comment on your ads again right so don't make unrealistic claims in your ads lose 20s in four weeks that's a big no no don't ever do some sort of weight loss number or weight loss about anything don't just don't even use weight loss ever in your ads avoid buzzwords like you right don't don't don't directly point at people act like you're talking to a big group don't refer to weight loss don't ever say 20 5 kgs you know lose weight fast promises that are unrealistic and I would honestly just stay away from problem promises in general as you can't keep them and Facebook knows it Facebook's Bots know it that's how good the system is on Facebook so you want to stay clear of that don't call out your Audience by saying something like are you a struggling parent are you struggling to lose weight are you looking to get healthy are you miserable because your health and fitness sucks do not and I repeat do not ever do something like this okay and guys we're going to show you how to make ads and all that sort of uh good stuff in F future videos but I always just recommend once when you're launching ads and especially if you're a beginner or even a midlevel and honestly even a high tier Advertiser always post your ad in the Facebook face group and let us review it as we know we we always look for buzzwords and we know if Facebook will shut it down you do not want to put an ad on there wait for Facebook to shut it down and then show us the ad right as the more disapprovals you get from Facebook the are more likely your account will be disabled at some moment in time okay you want to make sure your approval rate is 10 to one 10 approvals per one disables our approval rate is probably 100 to one all right as we make bloody well sure that our ads are congruent with the Facebook rules okay and you might just think this doesn't matter Facebook is a mega conglomerate company I'm just a smalltime business I can do whatever the hell I want no you can't this is a different world it act like Facebook is a very strict dictatorship okay act like it's some sort of country with a dictatorship and a bunch of rules and if you don't follow them you will get executed as Facebook is ruthless okay don't use shared domains from services like clickfunnels some of you might be familiar with clickfunnels or some sort of funnel um funnel software and a domain guys is just your website it's just your website name right so facebook.
com google. com that's a domain right Facebook wants real domains like I love kickboxing. com like um Chicago group training.
com something like that your real domain that is linked to your real website right they don't want any sort of flashy fluffy domains like um freew week trial. um offer. com you know they don't want all you know freew we.
clickfunnels. com which because clickfunnels gives you like these free domains you don't want to touch those Facebook will disable you um as they want real websites they want real businesses they want real domains okay it must be your own domain we'll show you how to set that up as well but just keep that in mind and make sure that you have which I mentioned a 10 to one approved disapproved ads ratio at all times so ads ratio means basically when you're going when you're publishing ads Facebook will first of all first they won't just publish them immediately and go they will go and go live right there they will actually check it usually with Bots sometimes with real people kind of depends right and you want to make sure that you get for every 10 ads you get approved you only can get one disapproval so um yeah say you get a a couple disapprovals you want to make sure that you just launch a couple of really that you know will be approved ads um and just do launch like 20 of them you don't actually have spend money on them but just so that approval rate is higher as that's how the algorithm works it really just looks at okay how many approves have we got and how many disapproves have we gotten is this what we like to see or is the this approval rate too high okay so that's that this list is down uh downloadable in this video setting up your website's terms and conditions uh terms and conditions and privacy policy Etc so you must have a website with multiple Pages content navigation and your own domain name all right people must be able to navigate through the website they must be able to look at some content about your business they must they must have multile multiple Pages it must have a real domain name not with some software um some soft not some software domain name I don't know what softare you guys are using for your website if it's an independent website right but you want to have a real domain name they're super cheap they have $10 on GoDaddy get a real name and a franchise website is fine as well so Anytime Fitness nine round f45 doesn't really matter a franchise website is usually up to date they usually advertise a lot as well so those websites uh on Facebook I mean so those websites are usually key and they're fine so if you have like um if you have like just a company page on the on the franchise website that's completely fine you're good okay so the website must contain a homepage an about page about the business a contact page and a Blog page you don't need blogs I just mean content just things that people can see things about your company you know pages with just pict pictures maybe you small description below that and you know class schedules a class schedule and class description all those types of pages also fine but just don't have some don't just just don't have like that one just one page and just like one button Facebook doesn't like that okay the website must contain priv honestly before I um actually do just go to Apple apple. com look how their website is navigated and you know you'll know what to do as their website is top- Notch so the website must contain privacy policy and a terms and conditions page so if you don't have a uh so we're going to show you I've got some templates and we'll show you what where you want to put those um and the last thing is if you don't have a website I is just hiring someone to build you a custom website Facebook will not allow you to run Facebook ads if you don't have website and guys you need website it's just website is the modernday business card you will not grow your business to whatever you Aspire without a website I'm sorry but you're going to have to invest a little bit so don't overpay you can get an amazing nice looking website for as much as 300 bucks if you don't know um if you don't know where to find the the people that can build you a nice website for cheap ask us in the Facebook group we'll we'll send you uh we'll send you to someone um that can make your website for cheap okay but most of you will have one if you don't have one you need one and pause this video right now and get it get it done and then get back to this video and you can also make your own if you know how to so if you're very techsavvy you know how to work how it works make it make it yourself save some money so we're going to set up a legal setting up our Legal Information so we need a privacy policy Facebook wants you to have rules on how you collect data they just want a page that that tells people trust me this page is going to get zero viewers and zero visitors as people do not care but you want this because Facebook doesn't want to be liable for anything okay because once people get off the Facebook platform they don't want to be liable for St for anything so we provide a template in the download section below and make sure you edit it to your business so I'm going to head out this PowerPoint real quick like that I'm going to open Chrome and this will be available right here in the down section below um so this is a privacy policy works really well it's a privacy policy we use and we run a ton of Facebook ads so you know you're good you're good um and you're just going to want edit around so you're just going to you want to make sure that you just know your own privacy policy so don't be lazy just read this stuff um as and especially because you're going to have to edit some stuff around like here your company name you're going to have to edit that um your company name here too right you're just going to want to spot for these and that's where you want to read all of it so just make sure um that all this stuff like another company name another company name um and I'm pretty sure at the bottom below um right here your email address domain.
com um just edit this around and I'll show you where we put this so you don't want to put this at the top of your uh top of your navigation so I'm on the North website right now look this is our navigation see let's look how congruent we are with Facebook we've got a mission which basically an about us page work with us a contact results which is content program more content right the free training more content right and you don't want your privacy policy your terms and any anywhere above it they don't care Facebook doesn't care what you want to do is ask your website developer or um you know if you do this yourself you can do it yourself you want to put this at the bottom of your page and this is where we put our privacy policy in our terms and I I'm just going to skip over to our funnel real quick that's where we send prospects to in new traffic um and we have you want to make sure that's there as well but we'll show you how to set that up so this is what our privacy policy looks like and you don't want anything different than this just a simple page with a bunch of text um from this okay that's it um and just a quick example um I'm just going to go to the I'm pretty sure the nine round has one because if you're own a franchise um you're just going to want to go to the main page of the franchise and make sure that it has a privacy policy so this is the um nine run right here I'm just going to drag it over really quick nine run main page right look down below here privacy policy terms of use okay they have a lot of fancy other stuff but privacy policy and in terms of use is kind of just a must all right so I'm going to head back into the PowerPoint really quick so that's that get that done terms and conditions same thing all right we provide you with another template and you're just going to edit around to fit your business and read it in full it isn't that long um we just bought a very simple terms of servers temp PL for you guys that you can use just edit around fit your business um and put it in the bottom of the page like us and like you know franchises guys if you if you have a franchise you know you'll just you'll just have those um there as well so these are the terms to use don't make it any different than this just terms of use at the top Ed your your edited terms of use our terms of use is a little different because we we work in a different industry right um but this terms and conditions is fine for you right as as the terms of servers you you want the terms and conditions all right so these two will be available in the download section below so just going to open PowerPoint again Facebook claimer this site is not part of Facebook website or Facebook Inc additionally this site is not endorsed by Facebook in any way Facebook is a trademark of Facebook Inc Facebook loves this it's not a a must but it's just a little hack and trick to to get some you know some extra bonus points with Facebook as once you send people to some sort of page when you're advertising if obviously um obviously people will have clicked it through Facebook right so some people will think oh this is just Facebook advertising right and this is their business as well um and this is what you don't need this you don't need this at the bottom of your business page but you will need this in the below side of your funnel so if you're using funnels yourself right landing pages to uh to get contact info and sign people off through an offer you're going to want that below right here super small doesn't need but Facebook will Auto toch this and they will just love it okay um so if using your own funnel and we're going to show you and guys we're going to give you funnels that are already preset up with this um but if you you know you want to use your own funnel or you already you know marketing and stuff like that you just want to add this Facebook loves it it's a must okay so um open back up the PowerPoint contact us uh so a link to a page with your company name email address phone number and address pretty straightforward most of you will have this just a contact page people want to be able to contact you guys email you stuff like that all right um let me just get rid of these pages right here and get back into the PowerPoint all right skip ahead setting up your business manager and at account and fan page so create your business manager at account by going to business uh business. face. com all right so I'm going to do this with you I'm going to go over these these tabs with you guys um and set up a Facebook account and business manager and this is an absolute must guys boosting post don't not get you anything boosting post is a simple way to for Facebook to earn money from unexperienced advertisers who have no clue what they're doing right and it's fine if you've boosted post guys we've made the same mistake but just know that boosting posts will get you nothing okay so I'm going to Quick Firefox just because on my Google Chrome you know that's where all our real stuff is um and I'm we've got a dummy Facebook account as well so you're going to want to go to this page um business.
facebook. com this page and really simple you're going to want to press create account so you're going to want to type in your business name just your real business name I'm just going to do NFC boxing and fitness right just a dummy account guys NFC boxing and fitness your name your real name and your business email all right like so all right this should be an email used to conduct uh uh conduct company business we'll send an email to verify it you'll also receive Communications regarding your business account at this email so make sure that this is a real email make sure you write it down quick um when you add others to your business your Facebook name profile picture and user ID from Facebook will be visible to them to them all right so you're going to want to type in your stuff so I'm just going to type in the Netherlands as that's where I'm recording it recording right now um I'm just going to type in a quick yeah um I'm just going to type in a dummy address from a friend of mine actually just to make sure that this is all congruent all right um so you just you're just going to want to do United States and fill in your um business details right so because this is all dummy so I'm just kind of thinking here what I should put in just to make sure um actually let me do it like that I am recording this in the Netherland real um so I just want to as I'm heading out to England in a little bit and I want to make sure that Facebook doesn't you know because Facebook will know where you are trust me they will so when I put in England and then I'm in the Netherlands they'll you know there'll be a chance that they'll just block it so all right um you want to fill all this in um yeah so I'm just going to do this website um put in a quick website what is a good website that I know won't be used um I don't even think that you need a website so I'm just going not going to type in website for now but you're going to want to put in your own website and this this account primarily uses Facebook tools or data to promote its own goods or services promote services to other businesses so promote its own goods or services oh you do need a website um let me just quickly see yeah I'll just do Northville consulting.
