welcome to the ibjjf online rules course this video we'll be discussing cumulative points athletes shall be awarded cumulative points when they progress through a number of Point scoring positions as long as they stabilize the final Point scoring position for 3 seconds example one the athlete earns cumulative points even if the opponent escapes before the referee completes the gestures two points for the sweep four points for Mount example two two points for the sweep four points for back control example three if the athlete is unable to stabilize the sweep but successfully stabilizes the back control they
will score one advantage for the sweep plus four points for back control during a movement if the athlete tries a different form of progression or submission the referee must wait for the end of the sequence if at the end of the sequence the athlete finishes on top with back control and below the shoulder line two points and respective advantages must be awarded example four athletes shall be awarded cumulative advantages when they progress through a number of scoring positions but are unable to stabilize them example five athletes who arrive at a cumulative Point scoring position while
