hello everyone Professor L marops here I have been your facilitator for the introduction to the New Testament and my intention with this class with this lecture is uh to introduce you to the first letter to the Corinthians I intend to give you a overview of the content of the book if we ought to understand the content and the significance of the book we must have a at least uh a understanding of the larger things that were involved in Corinth in the book in the letter of Corinth and I want to start saying that every book
that we study in the Old Testament and the New Testament we need to understand the historical context so if we really are eager to understand the content the significance and the practicality of the book of the of the text we must understand the historical context of it so saying that I want to start saying that the First Corinthians uh two events motivated the Apostle Paul I already given you who is the author of the book two events motivated the Apostle Paul to write the first book to the Corinthians the thing is that he have a
visit some people from uh Corinthians Corin they come to visit with Paul and they they brought some information to Paul and that concerns him a lot and that's why we have the first Epistle of Paul to the Corinthians to address and to correct the things that were going on and we know that things were going on there is because these people from claw's house they came and they gave him a uh I would say they gave him some information of the things that were going on they were concerned about it and they thought well we
need to come to Paul since Paul uh found the church since Paul have taught us uh the ways of the Lord the ways of the the of of serving God the ways of being a saint for God so we need to go and talk with him and share share with the with him our concerns about the things that is going on so uh the group of people that came to see him like you know uh the delegation consists uh second group after he he wrote the the the First Corinthians uh which he sent Timothy his
disciple to go to Corinth to bring the book and to share Paul's concerns about what was going on after that Paul received another visitation from stepanus fortunatus and Aus these three people or maybe uh the the group were a little bigger more people maybe were involved there but that's not the point the point is that they came to Paul once again to give him uh some problems that were going on some conversations that were going on even when after he sent the letter and uh that makes him more uh concerned and questions like should married
couples live in abstinence or in another words should married couple you stay away from a sexual life should young woman remain single it's it is permissible to buy meat in the market what is your opinion on spiritual gifts it is necessary for everyone to pray in tongues how should we proceed regarding the offering for Jerusalem can paulus not come to Corinth or listen those were problems that was going on uh within the church and Paul has to address I I I want to go back a little bit and corrected so these guys that I mentioned
is stefanas forat and Aus these guys is beautiful names of people their Greek names uh they came to see Paul these uh were a group of people that were concerned about the things that were going on at the church that Paul founded and seems like that they were on Paul's side that's why they came to see him and talk to him and brought a letter to him with these concerns I will repeat this sometimes we we don't think that uh that was a problem back then and Paul just wrote it from his mind no no
no Paul he was inspired by the Holy Spirit to address each one of those uh problems because not to correct the the the the situation back then but throughout history The Church needs to learn and to understand better how to serve God and how to pose themselves in order to please God with their own lives you know questions like this should mared cops couples live in abstinence Paul Paul he will stress that uh in in the in the the book The Letter uh should young woman remain single should marage I mean should uh we buy
meat in the market this is a question especially this one for in our head if you want to buy meat what the heck go and buy meat you know to the supermarket but no that back then they have a not only historical but cultural and uh religious company here when they ask this question we need to remember here though that when we talk about the church in Corinth we're not talking about only the Gentiles but in Corinth we have a lot of Jewish people okay people that came that was care throughout the Empire they were
there and some of them they brought the the the the word of God they brought brought Christianity to to the city Paul was he he start to evangelize reach out the city people there already knew uh about what was going on in the Galilee in Jerusalem they knew already they heard already about Jesus Christ and he came and shared the gospel with them so uh everything in the book of Corin Corinthians and other books there's a historical uh context and we need to learn that in order for us to understand uh what the text really
talks about another question here that was concerning then is that it is necessary for everyone to pray in tongues it's about gifts they were uh concerned that was a preoccupation if I may uh uh with uh within the church because some people say that everybody hisory speaking Tong some some say no no you don't have to speaking Tong that was a mess that was a mess and Paul has to address correct and bring them uh to the to to to to bring them and and align them uh uh to the right path uh and still
in the historical context of of the book we need to understand a little bit of the context of the city also Corinth a port city very important and very prominent Port City was rebuilded by Cesar as a Roman colony in 44 before Christ okay so the city of Corinth uh were a very important port for travelers and for goods so in that context of a city I want you to remember about uh what really goes on in a city that is a uh an app center for travelers and goods people from all over the world
cultures from all over the world Customs from all over the world religion from all over the world I mean the city were pack were filled with people customs religion practices from different parts of the world could you imagine the mindset of these people in the city of Corinth you imagine I I I'm I'm just trying to remember here Miami there's a huge Port Miami is uh in a corner of the world people from all over the world I'm going to push a little bit to uh Washington State Seattle it's a poor City people from all
over the world especially from Asia we have Koreans we have Vietnamese we have Chinese we have uh Indian people we have Brazilian but we have people from all over the world so Customs uh mannerisms religion food which is good we have from all over the world Faith everyone has its own faith so could you imagine how challengefull diversity in culture in Corinth Corinth was a city as I mentioned a city open to the world and I I I want to to help you guys to think of Seattle and Miami two cities that are very open
to the world people coming in go Goods coming in and go everything coming and go religion coming in and go Corinth was known for its vies with its reputation being so notorious that it came a common saying although there are accounts of the presence of 1,000 cold prostitutes of Aphrodite in the city the accuracy of this number is questionable but look at this We can question the number of prostitutes but the point is the city not only only culturally not only um religion religions from different parts of the world but some practices that corrupt the
city and they have a goddess called Aphrodite and that Goddess were the god of fertility and that goddess had has a traditionally call 1,000 prostitutes within its Court to offer service to anyone who wants to come and use them so the level of promiscuity in the city it's very high we are talking about Corinth back then but how about in our days the same thing happen in the most of cities that have ports that are Port of entrance people from all over so Paul in this case he has to address the problems you know this
reputation for libertinism and excesses reflected the social cultural and religious diversity of the inhabitants of Corinth as the city was in important an important commercial and port center as I mentioned we are just you know uh going again excuse me the inhabitants range from wealthy Merchants to Humble Port workers once you look to a city that is a port of entrance people come in and go goods come in and go you have the the Lords of the ports and you have the simple people that works and that are explored by the systematics of the port
areas of the port in the city okay they and included a mixture of Greeks Romans Jews Asians and other people from other parts of the world okay this uh was a reality there okay uh so thinking of the the reality of the city thinking of what is in the city now because the city will produce what it it stands for okay the city will produce what it stands for okay remember we will be the product of everything that we allow to come to our minds you are the end product of everything that you have seen
everything that you have learned everything that you have been exposed so the city of Corinth and the other cities that are in the same range they are or they have been exposed to so much and the end result the things this the the the society and religion are exposed to all that and there's an impact and you must know what you are doing you must know what you are teaching you must know what you stand for so saying all that the foundation of the church now we spoke about the foundation of the city but now
the foundation of the church in Corinth a Christian Church was born in Corinth in 49 uh through the missionary efforts of the Apostle Paul okay additional content to this is the development of the church can be reconstructed from The Acts of the Apostle and the first letter to the Corinthians okay the foundation of the church in Corinth in Paul's days was marked by a series of unique events and circumstances that shape it its history and distinctive character that's why these brothers and sisters from Corinth Church they came to Paul and and told him what was
going on they didn't came to Paul to gossip okay they didn't came to Paul to uh mess with him with the things that were going on in Corinth but they came with concerns they came with concerns because Paul taught them the things that you have heard the things that you have saw the things that you you have learned from me Paul will say so they learned from from Paul and the things were not good the things were going to a different direction since in within the church you will see they have different groups of people
some of them they were in favor of the godess offered and the prostitutions there some they were more traditional with the Judaism and trying to impose the judeo religion into the new Christians excuse me so uh Paul's mission in Corinth in Corinth Paul visited Corinth for the first time during his second missionary journey around 49 to 51 ad he arrived in the city after passing through of Athens and in initially working with Akila Akila and priscila a couple of Jews converted to Christianity Paul established a strong and Lasting Church during his tree during he while
he was there during his staying in Corinth so the church he established the foundations he really established a uh strong congregation Community of Faith in Corinth all right moving forward cultural and religious diversity Corinth was a Cosmopolitan and Commercial City we are just repeating ourselves there's not a problem we need just to to put this into our mind that uh the city known for its cultural and religious diversity okay as an important commercial important center this city attracted people from various ethnic uh and cultural backgrounds we already know that okay the church in Corinth reflected
this diversity with members coming from different ethnic and social backgrounds just like today Seattle Miami and many cities throughout the United States we have a multicultural churches and there's no way for us to work or Focus only in one culture so I know there's a Brazilians uh in in in the class there's people uh that speak Su Spanish in the class that might have we might have have some Koreans we might have people from India we might have people from Italy from all over the world we might have people are diversely culturally speaking so if
God sends us to this place to this country we are here to reach out for the Lost no matter where they come from because God came for and to reach and to help and to bless and to save every culture in every ethnicity group of people and saying that uh the church was a multicultural Church could you imagine a multicultural Church how many problems cultural problems they might go through how many different things and thoughts they have but they were there moral and cultural challenges yeah the city of Corinth was a now for its immorality
and moral Decay prostitution idolatry and vies were come on in the city presenting significant challenges for the local Christians was a bad place was a place with a lot of challenges not only spiritual but moral and social in every aspect that you can imagine my beloved I just want to bring to your attention God intend not only for Paul but for all of us to understand that he loves every culture and he wants to reach out every culture and save people from every culture once we are studying Paul and the way he offered himself to
go and reach out for the Lost he didn't imply that I want to go just for the Brazilians and that's a concern for us today that's a a challenge and I want to charge you that are listening me to me now no matter what culture that you have no matter where you were born I want to challenge you God has a plan to use your life you might be a pastor you might be a leader in a local church you might be a a a good solid Christian no matter we need to reach out for
people from any culture because the day that we present ourselves in glory before the Lord we will present ourselves from every culture in every ethnic group we will present ourselves to him and he will receive us and he will have was in eternity Paul addressed this ISS the issues that the brothers from Corinth brought to him to his attention he addressed those issues in his letter to the Corinthians offering guidance and teaching on how to live a Christian Life amidst of pagan of pagan culture this is good this is a awesome opportunity to dive in
into the T of Corin Corinthians why because we never have live in a society that is so plural like in the days that we are living so our guidance to live in a culture in a pagan culture like today we have right here almost 2,000 years ago this man had this experience of teaching of encouraging this people from uh this mixture religious culture Pagan culture how to live a Christian Life in a m us of this whole mass and we have a lot a lot to learn with Paul and his first epistle to the Corinthians
well as we mentioned in the beginning at the beginning was a kind of a a division this is some additional content but it was a kind of a internal division uh and controversies in the church within the church the church in Corinth face internal divisions uh on variety of issues including leadership religious practices and Doctrine my beloved there's no way for us to live and out live our faith if we do not understand exactly what our faith is and what it is to be led to Christ and for Christ and how it is to lead
people for for Christ and also there's no way for us to live and and live a fruitful life if we don't know the doctrine if we don't know what we should stand for so Paul helped the brothers back then but he helped us right here right now in the world that we're living in okay let's move forward Paul in this first letter he brings a a kind of an emphasis on his spiritual gifts okay he works and he helps us to understand what it is uh is spiritual gifts since they were having a problem everybody
needs to speaking tongues to speaking tongues and and interpretation is equal prophecy oh how about the love how about serving how that was a mess and Paul addressed that in this uh and seems like that we don't have those problems today but uh if if you don't mind I want to share being a pastor for almost 40 years plenty many churches in Brazil and here and overseeing pastors all over United States and Brazil I want to say this to you yes till today we have to constantly address and we have been tested to know if
we really extend our grounds with and in the word of God so uh Paul stressed this uh spiritual gifts okay however this emphasis also led to abuses and excesses that's why he has to address which Paul sought to correct and balancy in his letter okay everything that goes to extremes believing in one extreme going high extremely high in One Direction or to the other direction being to powerful uh to have a lot of fire and to be cold all the extremes is very dangerous and Paul address the church and teach them how to live a
Christian Life fruitful you know and with the gifts and the talents of the holy spirit all right what was the issues that Paul addresses Paul dedicated himself to specific issues in his response in chapter 7- 16 from chapter 7- 16 Paul address all the issues that were going on within the church he introduces each subject with the expression look at this each subjection he it starts with the expression concerning he were showing that he was concerned that he don't want to he didn't like it the way things were going so because I'm concerned about that
let me address that okay issues include marital absenc and disolution of marriage or divorce celibacy celibacy uh and buying meat in the market he also addresses the importance of spiritual gifts and praying in tongues we already know that he discusses procedures regarding the offering for Jerusalem and Apollo's absense in in Corinth some people in Corinth they would love for apoll to go there and leave there stay there and be their leaders so Paul explained why you were not there okay the meaning of First Corinthians First Corinthians is a writing motivated by current issues in the
Church of Corinth but that is just saying the same with different words you know uh Paul writes by or for to address the current issues in the Church of Corinth okay IT addresses problems faced by the church founded by po a few years ago look at this where is is a human hands we always will find problems we will always have to manage challenges and problems so he did that in addition to the issues brought by the house of Chloe Paul responds to matters orally transmitted by the delegation from Corinth Paul wrote it the letter
but he sent Timothy to address with them true some of what Paul wrote was okay but he understood that he needs to send somebody from him a disciple to go there and address discuss to talk to meet with people and resolve conflicts resolve problems uh it includes discussion about the Lord's s supper and the resurrection of the dead then Timothy was important that he goes there because you were uh able to discuss with them about the Lord's Supper some people they mess around with the Lord's Supper they were messing with the Lord's supper and timoth
put right in place Paul wrote it on his letter but Timothy reinforc it what Paul wrote it it reveals post concern in maintain unity and Orthodoxy uh in the church Paul was very concerned to maintain the things flowing the things going in order not messing around order the first letter of Corinth is recognized by many as the book of order in the church okay all right let's move forward we will find some key statements uh in the book First Corinthians chapter 1st Verse 18 we read like this indeed the message of the Cross is foolishness
to those who are perishing but to us who are being saved it is the power of God that's a key in a book okay that's uh it stands for the base for the fundamental of theological approach and Theological idea of the Christian Faith 1 Corinthians 12 26-27 we read just as like if one member suffers all suffer together if one member is honored all Rejoice together now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it look at this how beautiful Paul teach the brothers back then and is so important to all of us
today we are oh suffers suffering with the suffers of the others if our brothers suffering we suffer together when we see people in different parts they SC scare regions of the world suffering we suffer with them okay we suffer together if one member is honored here's a good thing we should not be want to have what the others have because everything that God has for me is for me and what God has for you is for you so when God puts you in a place or put somebody else that you know in a place of
honor we all should Rejoice we all should celebrate that together why because we are the body of Christ we are not separated individually but God deals with us collectively but he deals with us personally okay the there's a a third key that I would like to share with you 1 Corinthians chapter 15 to through verse 3- 4 for I delivered to you as of first importance what I also receive that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures that he was buried that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the
scripture I deliver it I bring it to you I taught you I made you to know that look at this what I received from the from the Lord in what what I received from the word that Christ died okay that he was buried he raised and he will come back so these are three very important keys in the book of in the letter of First Corinthians okay and uh we have here uh the three Bible verses one thing I wanted to uh remind you okay we have one column in Portuguese and another one in English
so that will make it easy for you to do your studies to review your uh stud guide this is just a uh very simple presentation that will help you and I hope that will help you big time okay okay we need to understand that the literary J okay that's a Jour we need to understand okay he first Corinthians belongs to the Jour of open Apostolic letters there is a open Apostolic letters through which the Apostle shares Guidance with the church he founded not only the church that he founded but that is beneficial to all of
us Paul addresses issues brought to him orally and through letters but it is not a dialogue with the church of Corinth you know it is not a kind of a dialogue you know let let's have a conversation let's discuss what is right and what is wrong no no no is a letter he Apostolic letter where he's teaching he is bringing the foundational aspects of the the teaching and learning of Christ and of Christianity okay Paul sees himself himself as as the church's founder granting him the Liberty to dictate how things should be done there was
no negotiation with Paul Paul he s he sees himself as the leader of the church there is no discussion hey I am the leader of the church I planted the church and I have the right given to me by God to simply simply dictate point it out give the direction okay uh of how things should be going and should be done the Apostle perplexity over recent developments in the church profoundly marks the letter reflecting the founders his struggle for his church we when we read and understand the letter we understand that you will see how
much Paul is struggle and suffer for the church that he planted is not that was not a business for Paul but was his life he share uh a common ground uh with people in order to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord and savior so he were very perplexing of what was going on within the church and now uh he has to have a a a very profound uh reflection about the ways the church should be going and and he made sure that was the case and he did it what he were supposed to
do okay first stage of the history of the church to understand let's go there's a four stages okay the first stage PA established the church he he he came he starts the church he established the foundations of the church he connect people he connect with people he train people he prepare and Paul he say uh in uh uh in Corinth for some time uh then he left the brothers and sisters and sailed to Syria with a companion of Priscilla and aula before he sailed he had his hair cut off at the uh SRE at the
srea uh because of a vow he had taken okay he cut his hair po works with Aila and with Achila and Priscilla uh making tents while visiting the Jewish s synagogue to preach with the arrival of timoth uh and cus Paul dedicate himself fully to preaching thanks to the to the offerings brought from Macedonian uh Church to the from the macedonians uh to help him out uh with his ministry Paul and his followers moved to the house of juus where the churches Bas gathers and Evangel and evangelizes uh for a year and a half conver
conversions of both Jews and Gentiles happened a lot and during that period of time and that uh served that was The Bays the fundamental the the Foundation I mean better in a better word the foundation for the church that was really uh uh starting uh in uh Corinth okay so that was the first state Paul established the church nobody else established the church was Paul Paul's job to establish the church okay second stage the ministry of Apollos okay introduction Apollos a prominent figure in the the early Christian Church playing a significant role in spreading the
teachings of Jesus Christ the scriptural basis acts the book of Acts chapter 18 23-28 provides insights uh into Apollo's Ministry and his encounter with Aila and Priscilla in Ephesus characteristics about Apollos uh was a described as a knowledgeable the loan and a gifted speaker although initially lacking a complete understanding of Jesus teachings you were you know fire up you were learning he can speak good but you were in other construction if I may development through the guidance of Akila and Priscilla paulus gain a deeper understanding of the faith in Jesus Christ and was recomended to
the church in aaya and Corinth so he become a good leader he become a good teacher he become a good speaker he were known in the in the region and he were even recommended to take the leadership and the pastorship of of some of the churches impact AP Paul's Ministry had a profound impact on the Corinthians Church getting some or to identify themselves as a followers of Apollos later on we want understand one of the problems that that was that was raised in in the church is that a group thought oh we are followers of
Peter we are followers of followers of uh Paul we are followers of of of Apollos I mean some more spiritual we we follow Jesus we follow Jesus so uh this is a little bit about uh the ministry of apoll that was the second stage okay the the third stage okay I mean the the the the sequel of the second stage which was the establishment of the the ministry of Apollo uh relationship uh despite AP Paul's influence Paul viewed him not as a comp competitor but as a fellow worker with the distinct gifts and callings 1
Corinthians chapter 3 verse 5 to 15 acknowledgement okay Paul recognized Apollo's contributions to the Corinthians Church even though it was challenging for him to see his own Ministry overshadowed overshadowed uh by Apollo's popularity this is something very unique that we learn with with Paul and Apollo Paul like him Paul brought him under his ministry but AP Paul's become so permanent that in certain instant certain cases seems like that a Paul's Ministry were shadowed okay were a little bit diminished but apul was did not have that in mind to do that and Paul understood and Paul
we learn with him because he has to work with him to understand to EMB better the progress of the ministry of Jesus Christ partnership no one can do alone conclusion Apollo's Ministry complemented Paul's effort in spreading the gospel okay the diversity of his gifts was a blessing but was challenge for third stage third stage now is a third stage okay the migration of Eastern Christians to Corinth okay the migration of Eastern Christians to Corinth the arrival of Eastern Christians in Corinth possibly associated with Peter yeah the disciple Peter brought brought additional complications to the situation
in the church what that means Peter was the leader in the church in Jerusalem Galilee he was he were very prominent he were very strong and some of his disciples people who really like Peter moved to Corinth and once they got there while they were accommodating themselves to the church to that local church they start to trying to impose and imply that the church should be like the church that Peter land they should be a church like the way they learn with Peter so you know what happened Paul he has to uh make them to
understand under the leadership of Peter things were happening in a certain ways but in Corinth the church has a different approach but the the center the enter of it the theology the foundation is one is is Jesus his word and is a holy spirit one spirit in everyone and I I want to share this with you uh people once they move from one place to another place and they got to another church a new church they tend to get there and they they look to the church and they see how the church uh perform and
works and how the church goes and they start to remember the church that they were into either uh in their country of origin or in another state or another church close by and they start oh but why are you guys doing this things this way where I came from we used to do this way okay there was the way you you you you understand and you were uh taught but here in this place is just like this can we come together and move forward because the most important he the one who leads the church is
the one who gives the word is the one who guides the church that's important okay all right let's move forward uh uh that's why uh I mentioned some people in Corinth they said I'm I'm follower of Paul uh some other say I'm from Apollos other say no I like Peter and and then the the most spiritual ones say well we are followers of Christ that's something very interesting to think about it um you can keep checking and this is the third uh uh stage the sequel of the third stage um many people migrate to to
to Corinth from uh many places and Paul has to address and because of people coming from all over uh I already addressed that at the beginning of our our lecture uh brings within uh a lot a lot of challenges you know and the fourth stage is appear pce of the Fanatics as I mentioned to you the guys who said I'm for I I follow Apollo I follow Paul I follow Peter I oh I'm so spiritual I follow Jesus so the the Fanatics and today World today's Christianity we have so many Fanatics okay we need to
heal we need to focus we need to look to Jesus so you can go on okay and U uh keep points here cultural and religious diversity immorality and moral decay of the city and within the church also okay that's not true different from today's world from today's Christianity okay internal division controversies that's not different from today and abuse of spiritual gifts there's not different from today okay influence of external groups and leaders that's not different from today a pastor needs to have his leadership and his leadership is assured by the Lord Jesus Christ in the
power of the Holy Spirit okay forth stages appears of the of the Fanatics uh and and you can read here uh again uh and uh I pointed out so many things that I already have spoken to you and that will help you guys uh to understand what a mess was the church in Corinth and what a work Paul has to put up to in order to help them and to square things off there so was ethical theological emphasis ethical challenges the entire letter except for the chapter 15 addresses issues of Christian Behavior Christian Behavior that's
important we cannot be a Christian inside the church and outside the church we assume somebody else we if we are Christians we are Christians either way in the church and outside of the church there's no true personalities running in our system okay how can Church Unity be maintained when OPP opposing groups emerge okay Paul addresses once again in many different ways and aspects to bring the church to a healthy mode okay uh he address and work with a a gospel centered ethics okay we must have ethics not only the world inside of the church we
must have ethics and he makees sure that the word of God can bring a good and healthy ethics to the church okay religious challenges uh we already mentioned because of the pl PL plurality W because of the plurality in the SE of cor Corinth uh we have so many religions uh we have have so many Greek philosophers and gnostics movements and Paul have to address all that it's not different from today's world people believe me Resurrection Doctrine this is particularly evidence uh in evident in chapter 15 Paul has to address the whole Theology of Christianity
and Paul were used by God to bring about the and and to structure the Theology of our Christian faith okay you can read that and you will be uh a theologian yourself also okay Unity the one of the reasons that Paul wrote the letter is trying to bring unity and we must have Unity okay um uh the unity we we should anal uh he brought analysis of the themes uh different themes in Corinthians sometimes seem to to contradict or repeat each other as I'm repeating myself here seems like that I'm just going around but no
it's very important it's a it's a a way Scholars has to enforce and reinforce a truth okay we must understand that uh for example chapter 8 to 11 Paul seems to have different instances uh on eating food sacrificed to I however closer inspection reviews distinct context for this discussions Paul he were very careful with uh what we will incorporate from outside to the lives of uh to the common lives of the Christian uh uh Community to the Christian done okay okay you can read more authorship I'm not going to even discuss that we already spoke
about it recipients I'm not going to talk about because uh the letter is written to the Corinthian the corent people to the current city uh back then and is throughout the history to all the church to members uh of Gentile Christians and um overall to address to conflicts within the church uh the local uh and uh data uh and and date uh I'm sorry uh is in Portuguese here okay but the place that he wrote it and the date that he wrote it okay um based on 1 Corinthians chapter 5 verse 7 it is possible
to conclude that the letter was written immediately before Passover as Paul mentions Christ as the Pascal uh lamp of the Christian and challenge the Corinthians let us celebrate the Feast okay uh 1 Corinthians 16:8 we see that the letter was written before Pentecost in Ephesus it was probably written in Ephesus during a springtime on Paul's third mission Journey okay so Paul when he wrote this letter most likely was in Ephesus um on his third mission uh Journey okay what year in between 53 and 54 uh uh DC okay uh we uh have this letter um
you will follow and Skip reading we have I I I I took care of bringing to you uh reference Biblical reference where you can understand better where and when the taxs uh were uh the the letter was written most likely some Scholars they assur that was the year of 54 okay and we are just on that surrounds 53 and 54 uh was the day uh uh the year of the written of this letter so I put to you uh submit to you some uh biography and I thank you for your attention and hope that will
be very helpful to you and God bless you until second Corinthians take care
