have you ever felt frustrated because something in your life isn't happening according to your plan maybe you've been praying for a new job a relationship or a breakthrough and it feels like God isn't answering it's hard right when you're waiting hoping and yet nothing seems to happen but here's what I want you to know God's timing is always perfect even when it doesn't match our expectations trusting God's timing isn't easy but it's one of the greatest acts of faith we can show so today I want to remind you that God sees the bigger picture and
his timing is never late in the Bible we see so many examples of God's timing at work think about Abraham and Sarah God promised them a child but years went by without any sign of it happening they became impatient and we know how that led to frustration but in God's time when everything was perfect ly aligned Sarah gave birth to Isaac it was all part of God's plan even though they couldn't see it at first that's the key God's delays are not his denials just because we don't see progress on our timeline doesn't mean that
God has forgotten about us Ecclesiastes 3:11 tells us he has made everything beautiful in its time so even when it feels like nothing's happening God is still at work he is preparing something beautiful now I get it waiting is hard especially in today's world where we expect everything to happen instantly waiting on God can feel like the hardest thing in the world but often what we see as a delay is actually God's way of preparing us for something greater let me share a story there was a man named Mark and he'd been praying for a
new job for months his current job was draining him and he was desperate for a change he kept praying and asking God to open a door but weeks turned into months and nothing happened Mark began to feel discouraged even questioning whether God was hearing his prayers but here's the thing God was working behind the scenes while Mark was waiting God Was preparing a position that aligned perfectly with Mark's skills and passions when the time was right a new opportunity came that was more than Mark had ever imagined it wasn't just a job it was a
purpose-filled opportunity that allowed him to use his gifts for God's glory if God had answered Mark's prayer earlier he would have missed out on the greater blessing you see sometimes God's Not yet is because he has something better in store but trusting his timing requires faith faith in the Unseen and faith that God is working even when we can't see it so why is God's timing perfect because God sees what we can't Isaiah 5 58-9 reminds us that God's thoughts and ways are higher than ours he knows what's ahead and he knows what's best for
us sometimes he's protecting us from something we don't understand other times he's preparing us for a blessing we're not ready for yet think about Joseph in the Bible God gave him dreams of leadership but instead of immediate success Joseph was sold into slavery and imprisoned it looked like everything was going wrong but during that time God was shaping Joseph's character preparing him to lead Egypt through a crisis when the time was right Joseph Rose to power just as God had planned all along in the same way God is working in your waiting trusting his timing
means believing that he's preparing the blessing and preparing you to receive it so how do we trust God's timing in our everyday lives first we need to pray for patience and peace Philippians 4:6-7 tells us not to be anxious but to bring our requests to God and when we do he gives us peace even in the waiting second we need to keep doing what God has called us to do today Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:34 not to worry about tomorrow focus on what's in front of you trust that God will open doors when the
time is right third stay in community surround yourself with people who encourage you to trust God we're reminded in Hebrews 10:25 to not give up meeting together but to encourage one another and finally remember God's faithfulness in the past Psalm 7711 says I will remember the Deeds of the Lord when you're struggling to trust look back at how God has come through for you before he's been faithful and he will be faithful again it's important to understand that God is never in a hurry but he is always on time what feels like a delay to
us is often God's way of preparing us for something greater trusting God's timing also teaches us to surrender to let go of our need for control and allow God to lead Proverbs 356 says trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight when we surrender to his timing we find peace so here's my challenge to you today think about an area of your life where you've been struggling to trust God's timing maybe it's in your job
a relationship or something you've been praying about for a long time take that area and bring it to God In Prayer surrender it to him and trust that he is working even when you can't see it let's take a moment to pray Heavenly Father we thank you that your timing is always perfect help us to trust you in the waiting knowing that you are always faithful give us patience peace and the courage to follow where you lead in jesus' name we pray amen remember God's timing is perfect he's always working for your good even when
you can't see it trust him and you'll see his plans unfold in ways greater than you could imagine
