it's the piggyback photo that's sweeping the nation an American hero carries an injured Granny on his back down a mountain for three long hours to me that was really a miracle it happened after 79-year-old Ursula Bannister climbed this mountain in Washington state despite her age she makes the truck every year to pay her respects at the summit where her Mom's ashes are spread it's called High Rock Lookout and you can see why the views of Mount reneer are spectacular but Ursula fell and broke her leg in three places she was in agony that's when a
total stranger stepped up and literally offered to carry her down the mountain on his back US Air Force Airman First Class Troy May was there with his fiance and a friend they put a splint on Ursula's shattered leg you can see her wincing then learning a rescue team was hours away Troy carried Ursula 2 miles down the mountain we knew getting her down as quick as we could would save on the swelling tremendously um as well as the cold night that was coming on we talked about many many different things including the fact that he
and his buddy were Cowboys in New Mexico and I had never met a real cowboy before in my life it couldn't have been easy though Troy to carry someone on your back for more than a mile and for hours it was definitely challenging yeah Ursula now has 12 screws and a plate in her leg she calls Troy her angel on a Mountaintop to be able to carry me down the hill was above and be on the Call of Duty I definitely feel like I was put there in the right place at right time to help
her out [Music]
