us a little bit about it yeah so I'm I'm from Ukraine and uh I'm a transfer student from I transfer here from D1 school before I was in California in fresen State University and the reason I transfer here was was the tennis because my goal is uh to become Pro after after college after my college career so here the bon in Florida is the best place for tennis like a lot of tournaments a lot of like opportunities to practice with a good players Maria has been playing her entire life tennis is one of her biggest
passions but she says that sometimes the challenge is not only on the court but also on her brain I started tennis when I was four and like by the age of like probably seven or eight I already had a goal I was like I remember I came up to my mom and I told her like hey I want to be the number one so she was like yeah okay we're doing this we're doing this now so like I would give the advice to always believe in yourself because sometimes you're dting yourself so much and like
I also like been struggling with this and it just it's really tough to overcame and I know like when you have like a lot of pressure and if you especially if you want to become like a pro that you always having having a lot of pressure like what am I doing if I doing this right Maria came from Ukraine with a dream and she's determined to achieve that success in the US and worldwide I'm really glad that my mom and sister are able to be here with me and obvious as they moved here because of
the war there was the first reason why they were in Vienna first in Austria we were living there for like year and a half or something and then they decided to move to Boston first for my sister education and since I transferred to Florida and to Barton they were like oh yeah we're going with you so now they're here with me and I'm really glad that I'm having those like this support from them so Maria has a challenge for me today have you seen like a Communications journalist news reporter do tennis before maybe no so
there's the first time for everything you need to teach me how to do it because I don't want to mess it up okay let's do the first thing we going do just like like this okay I got it okay you got it okay let's go and I am and I am wearing high heels so that's a challenge great what's your dream like huge dream goal or like tournament to play at when you like get to be a pro because you're going to be a pro thank you so my biggest dream let's say I obviously want
to Wi a grand slams and I want to Wi like I want to be all of them like four of them there's like uh Australian Open uh girl Wimbledon and the USA open this is one of the many stories that our Lin athletes have Maria for sure will be playing on the grand slam my name isan Caron and this was a report for iple sports
