so being a digital Nomad used to be everyone's dream including mine working from the most beautiful destinations working whenever you want and whatever you want but I left all of that for [Applause] this and this is the main reason I quit being a digital Nomad I mean there's actually more pretty obvious reasons like for example productivity and routine while traveling around forget about it it can be quite challenging to find structure and routine in your day when you're constantly traveling around packing unpacking setting up my portable Studio at every new place living out of a
suitcase not really having an office desk or a monitor it's not great for productivity and productivity was exactly what I needed as I was trying to grow my creative business you see a couple of years ago I came up with this plan which I call my master plan part one on how I would quit my 9 to5 office job by the end of 2021 and start focusing on growing my creative business all while traveling the world being a digital Nomad basically but let me tell you working on your goals is quite challenging when you're constantly
traveling around and let alone trying to work out consistently consistently eating healthy sleeping enough jet lag just not getting distracted all the time but I solved this issue by having a very strict protocol while traveling and it comes down to this as soon as we arrive at a new destination we only give ourselves one day to adjust and settle in the next day we would immediately find a new coffee place to work from sign up at the nearest gym and just try to keep the same schedule no matter where we are but this protocol could
not make up for the main reason why I quit being a dit the NAD and no it's not because we got used to all those awesome adventures because trust me after seeing the 26 Temple you're kind of like me and when you've seen the 40 most beautiful beaches in the world they'll start looking this the same so then what was the main reason well let me first share the second most important but still not main reason reason you missed your family and friends I mean FaceTiming your loved ones from the other side of the world
can't really replace those precious moments like hanging out with the boys having dinner with your parents and just spending Christmas together with good company when you're traveling around it can get a bit lonely but there's actually two easy ways to solve this one your friends come visit you wherever you are which was the case with me and my girlfriend we spent a month in a villa in Bali with some good friends at an awesome time we've had friends visit us in Los Angeles in New York in Sydney spent a couple of months with good friends
in Cape Town as well so that definitely made it easier and the other solution is making new friends I mean when you're traveling around the globe like a true digital Nomad you will meet so many new cool people from all over the world which is awesome of course and yet I still quit being a digital Nomad so what was the main reason well let me explain oh by the way there is one more solution to the feeling alone issue and that is by becoming part of a community or better yet starting your own Community now
you can do that here on YouTube or on Facebook pages or whatever but I found the best place for communities to be school.com it's an all-in-one community/ course hosting platform and it's basically designed to help creators entrepreneurs or anyone rather who wants to build and grow their online communities school has features like classrooms calendars live streaming via zoom and many more features and unlike many other similar platforms school has just one monthly feed to start your own community that includes all the features the platform has to offer I've started my own community on school.com last
year called Freedom freelancing a mastermind for Tech professionals looking to become a freelancer to earn more money while working less and working from wherever they want and funny enough school.com asked to sponsor this video while I already had a community going on school.com so obviously I said yes so if you're interested if you want to create your own Community or if you want to check out mine then check out the links in the description and now let's get to the main reason why I quit being a digital Nomad and what I will be doing instead
so let me explain last year I hit a turning point in my life before last year my life was focused on having as many experiences as I could I wanted to travel to as many countries as possible I wanted to meet as many people as I could I tried all the side house as I went to all the parties I wanted to taste all the foods from every different culture I was hungry for everything life and the world had to offer but this slowly changed around the time I turned 30 you see as I was
constantly chasing new experiences I started to get the feeling like I was just skimming the surface of life I wasn't truly immersing myself deeply in one thing and it became clear to me that my focus in life was slowly pivoting from breath of experiences to depth in experience rather ra than trying countless more hobbies and side hustles I wanted to immerse myself and dive deep into my passions and business and become the master of one or two of my crafts rather than building many superficial relationships I wanted to focus on creating deeper connections with the
people I already know rather than chasing many different women I'd rather start a family with just one I love deeply and lastly rather than visiting as many countries as possible checking off all the tourist attractions as fast as possible I want to stay in a country for a longer time get lost wander around and truly experience its culture and what it's like living there so I left the digital Nomad life and decided to settle down and focus on building my own base a place to go home where I can raise a family and work on
my master plan part two and that brought us back to Amsterdam because I'll be honest when we started traveling the world we were kind of open to the idea of moving abroad and starting a new life somewhere else but after seeing so many places all over the world we realize here in the Netherlands it's not that bad it's a relatively peaceful Healthy and Wealthy country just by looking at the data and statistics I realized that the Netherlands is almost always in the top 10 countries in the world when it comes to best education happiness economic
stability Health Care quality of life and average penis size no I'm just kidding even though I've lived my whole life in the neans I'm Serbian but there is still one thing that sucks when you live in the Netherlands it's the weather man don't get me wrong Summers can actually be really great here but from October to April for 6 months it's mostly cloudy rainy and cold and Autumn is definitely a Vibe here and the holidays in December are great I love Christmas and but the months after that suck and even though I'm currently building that
base in the Netherlands my fiance and I still love to travel and explore the world I mean there's so many countries we still have have to see but it seems like we cannot build a base and travel around the world at the same time or can we well I came up with this brilliant new solution A New Concept that has never been thought of before called intermitted nomading which basically means have one or two bases around the world where you stay the majority of the year and then travel around for 2 3 4 months a
year for example when the weather starts sucking balls here in the Netherlands that way you get the best of both worlds you still have a base where you can visit your friends and family and grow a family but you also still get to explore the world visit a lot of countries and still taste that digital Nomad lifestyle so if master plan part one was about escaping the 905 and traveling the world then my master plan part two is about building a base growing a happy family and still exploring the world in mitted Nomad so if
you want to see how my master plan part one has actually enabled me to escape the 905 and travel the world with my fiance that you might want to check out this video next cheers
