like no joke I was on IMDb looking at photos from the premiere Of the the woman Jaden Smith and [ __ ] one of the guys from the original movie was there like at the premiere and I was like so you guys are just involved with each other everybody and then I looked up the producers Will Smith produced that movie and then as a producer on the TV show so he definitely helped Kickstart is J Smith and Cobra kai no he's not in the show he was just in that Karate Kid movie but Will Smith
stayed involved right he must just really love It I think so true like I really think so too I think he like the [ __ ] out of Chris Rock so we know he's kind some karate um anyways uh yeah I went into like a [ __ ] deep dive with that uh but the show like is so corny and stupid but just the right amount that I'm not like writing it off as a joke the making the plot the topics the serious stuff that they tackle is actually funny it's Lighthearted the way that they
SW I Ser topic no information about this except that it's Karate Kid I'm going to give you a little bit of a teaser yeah how old are the like so the back story is the main character in the show is the original villain from the first movie the cute little blonde guy that I love yeah the the villain but [ __ ] was hot dude sleeveless [ __ ] like they know how to do an attractive Villain Like sleeveless is so much Cooler than just like come on like come on yeah so in that original
movie High School Musical too arms just the just the first actually I think one two when he goes like this the one where he's walking around the whole [ __ ] movie in a tank do you know what I'm talking about yeah but and he had that one vein right in the middle of his b it's the it's the whole music music video when he sings Scream and he puts on his basketball Jersey cuz he's like what am I going to do like basketball been my life anyways talking about some [ __ ] biceps uh
William zapka from the first movie okay he loses to Ralph machio okay these are the actor's names so they're they have this [ __ ] rival rivalry this Feud all the way into the show so they're so we're talking about the movies in high school that I'm showing how the show began so they're Teens in high school in that movie so the show takes place years later when they're like in their 40s almost to 50s yes so William zapa plays Johnny the villain okay and it's showing where he's at in his life kind of kind
of you know not in a good place at all like drinks [ __ ] Kors banquet beer every day that's I feel like every man's favorite hyp specific it is guys every man okay does it every [ __ ] day any hours of the [ __ ] day he's just not doing well Very unkempt like beard he doesn't look well which one is this the blond the villain yes the blonde and then the the the Victor the amazing Karate Kid that everybody loves from the movie Ralph yes okay precisely he's like better off he owns
a car dealership he has an amazing family he has a nice big house don't doesn't he get given a car in the first movie yeah [ __ ] he r with it yeah talk about like this is what this it's worth actually watching these because after I Was watching the show for a while and it had me hooked by like for sure hooked season 3 like I was being giving it a chance because season one and two know that this was this one they're like eight or nine episodes and they're 20 to like 25 to
30 minutes like they're so short it started on YouTube the show started on YouTube Netflix picked it up because that's how good it was that's kind of cute exactly so I got hooked season 3 because the plot Really was I was like okay you guys are actually like writing like it was like it was getting really good so then I decided to watch a second Karate kit that's a [ __ ] joke okay the second Karate it's [ __ ] embarrassing this is this is why I got the first one I feel like is kind
of exactly it got more embarrassing and I did like it I did like it I like some embarrassing what I'm saying so those movies are just the right amount of corny to where I was Like yeah I'm going to try out Cobra Kai and it's lighthearted enough that in this shitty world we live in I love Cobra Kai okay so what is co is Cobra Kai like the name of the dojo go like what's going on that was the dojo that was the villain Dojo that was what Johnny was from okay he decides in the
original movie yes and he decides to bring Cobra Kai back and he's going to be the Sensei and he's going to be in charge and like how it's going to be Done okay and their motto is uh [ __ ] this is embarrassing I don't remember the motto uh it's like strike first strike C no mercy okay so like evil right like rather than sit back and wait they're going to strike first in a a match okay or in a fight or whatever which I mean like that's not always bad per se no but no
mercy did you say no mercy exactly it gets [ __ ] there should always be Mercy it gets really [ __ ] serious like when They mean no mercy like and they're dealing with kids this is why it gets interesting if you've got adult M got a little dark with some of the way they were beating up these kids the way that the character what is his name in the it's Johnny and how do I not remember the main kid's name and Karate Kid I Daniel there we go okay his name is Daniel the way
that he was like what they literally shoved me off a cliff on my bike he talks about it from the first Movie I was like yeah that was like actually really [ __ ] up yep it and they talk about it it's yeah likeing like the jail jail and then there is another time where this grown man who they brought back from the third Kate kid which I have yet to see I can't wait to watch sh I've been like like not going through all of them cuz I'm trying to you know make it last
but uh he was talking about how [ __ ] weird it was that they were [ __ ] with like messing Around with teenagers and like uh like being involved with teenager stuff when they were grown men and like we should not have been taking that [ __ ] seriously is what he said so it's like it's a joke but also then they then they uh approach that type of subject and they're like why were we doing that so they look [ __ ] movies they're like why did I yeah exactly why did why it's
a joke guys but it actually isn't it's such a good show well what's The plot all over the place the original the original for season one is he makes Cobra Kai and Daniel freaks the [ __ ] out and decides to make his own [ __ ] dojo in response no Johnny is the blonde Daniel is the brunette Daniel's the the uh Ral protagonist yes Danny Daniel Ralph Johnny William Ava see it's really hard cuz like she really yeah that and she really doesn't even know like like doesn't know the pictures not seen the Original
Karate Kid in probably a decade a long time yeah um so in response to him creating Cobra Kai he decides to bring a what does he call it Miyagi do because that was uh his name him Miyagi Miyagi he call him Miyagi though uh and then they they have their students fight at that competition from the original movie it's like still around okay yeah and it's uh obviously and I can spoil it because it doesn't matter but cop Kai wins that One okay well and Daniel has a daughter okay that he has taught karate and
she it's like a Romeo Juliet situation loves the the main character ofai yeah that's cute okay I can see that yeah it's giving a what was that [ __ ] show kicking it it now get this I love you guys don't even [ __ ] know I love that you brought that up so the actress pton list was in kicking it she's in this show and guess what she's in kobra Kai she's like the badass scary one and Daniel's daughter is the one that's but they're all around that same age so it's 20 old I
she's our age she's one of the older ones one of the older actors on it I was picturing these all his children you know how shows are sometimes they don't use actual [ __ ] children they're a little bit older but you can tell their kids in season one be like high schoolers yes they're all in high school who is the show geared towards High schoolers not necessarily no like they have so the plot line no that's like heavily high school so it's like because it wanted to tackle the adults like [ __ ] weird
[ __ ] Feud that they have and it's like hey grow up like what you're karate like there was see they make jokes at it too there was a character was like I forgot how [ __ ] serious these guys take karate in this town like it was what the [ __ ] yeah the Way that they you have got to teach me like yeah I but karate is [ __ ] cool though I get it that's in the choreograph fights they have in there I mean hold on I actually feel like I no okay
thought I messed up my hair I'm just checking yeah let's see what else I wrote oh okay yeah I said it really shows the world they've kind of created like the amount of movies they made and that the show that they made they really do have a community of Cobra Cobra Kai Like karate [ __ ] people that just eat that up and I think that's actually I feel like I've missed out on a community I see the vision I see the vision I would I'd have to rewatch all those goddamn movies though to catch
back up after watching the second movie it literally the ending guys apparently when they were in Japan he takes a trip to Japan with Miyagi okay and when you like duel it's a live or die thing so if you lose you die and I was like [ __ ] Are you joking see okay do you see what I'm saying do you see her respon I was literally like what like you can't just kill someone with no consequences I was like it doesn't and it was in the'80s hey you can't just kill people with SH up
they were like this is fiction I can do what I want and so we get to the ending and d uh Daniel's like this and he's like never die man and I'm like you're not going to kill right there's no way and he goes honk on His nose because that's what Miyagi did like he goes honk and I was like that's hilarious Merc was Mercy they made this villain and that one like super like way too serious they're killing was liver die so I I would be pretty serious too if I thought I was going
to die if I lost the I'm like nervous about the third movie like what's going to happen with that one you haven't seen it I told you I'm like I'm holding I'm holding out because I sitation you know that when Home Alone got weird when they got a new kid Home Alone did get weird didn't Home Alone got real weird honestly as soon as Donald Trump St in the franchise and that [ __ ] sucks because that was the second one and I love lost in New York I love that one that one is good

at it like this because it's only two seasons because it's the type of Animation it is it makes it like it's it gives it a weird Like reputation or you know you judge a book by its cover like you're going to there's nothing you can do about it but like it I would put it up there with the like the writing and how deep they went into the [ __ ] stories for everybody that it is Game of Thrones es it is a serious [ __ ] show and it just doesn't seem serious because of
what it looks like it's also based on League of Legend This is my bias because I don't I'm going to watch it but the reason I Haven't watched it is because I could not wrap my brain around I don't like the animation Style I can get past that with how good Hannah's been saying it is and the League of Legends say is offputting to me I know I'm not going to like that [ __ ] I've never played the game and I've seen my roommate Austin play it and it like literally looks like a game
that I would never want to play ever in my entire life but the because it has so Many a wide like array array So Random there's so many characters there's so many different powers like no it doesn't that's why that's insane that they were able to do that they they did a whole like World building they created story lines backgrounds they like like these people who probably just loved those characters decided to just give them like a life there are characters in the game yes okay yes and so and I don't even like I've seen
sometimes Austin and I see like a picture of the character he like shows me but I really don't know what they look like in the games too much and they changed it a little bit for the show like for example I do know this that VI and the game is very like male like like she's for the male eye type thing oh like over sexualized yes but in the in the [ __ ] show dude like she's for the girls like it's is the director a woman cuz you know like the Harley Quinn like yeah
that's a good example how to show that like B is a [ __ ] badass in the show um that's another thing with the storyline and the plot how they were able to like they were not scared to have these two lesbian characters like the last few episodes that I watched I finished the season right bro they literally did not care they went for it and they they literally showed a whole scene for them And I was like is it like an adult show yeah okay yeah like I'm adult but like like is there sexual
content is that what you mean yeah actually yeah and the like the story like I mean yeah like you need to have a [ __ ] fully developed [ __ ] brain like kind of to get what's going on yeah it's actually that deep like the way that the last three episodes came out and I had told Austin I think you were there too but I was like if I don't [ __ ] cry I'm going to be disappointed did you cry did you finish it last night yes you know I mean this is like
so funny Austin and I laugh so hard we it was I cried so quickly in the episode before the intro we were like before the intro and we he was like 5 minutes in then we checked and it was a minute and a half and I was already crying okay I love that like this is kind of convincing you to like get on it quicker I just because you get so emotionally Attached to these people you understand why they're thinking the way that they think the the buildup of the relationship between the two lesbian one
I was talking about like their plotline makes sense as to how it happened it's not like just everybody just had a wellth thought out story like it just was so what happened with that one guy when you guys did put it on I was like he's kind of cute but I still like him that Okay so there's another guy you definitely like besides him that's actually a little better like who are we talking about if anybody seen it tell them who I'm talking nobody say any [ __ ] spoilers and I can't I'm going to
watch I'll watch it like over the next week the one that you like is only the first three episodes [ __ ] [ __ ] does he die [ __ ] what the [ __ ] but that's he reminds me of the okay this is weird uh but y'all know the gorillas Cartoons the like the band the gorillas Melancholy Hill the band you know the gorillas I know you do you're going to be mad at yourself show you what I'm talking about I'm so sorry guys God what's what's their most popular song you know their
most popular song but uh Damon ALB Bar's character because like the gorillas made like they're like a band of real people but they made like personas out of cartoons that's fun it's Really cool actually I know you know what I'm talking about but I'll show you after this as well the suitcase remix and the gorillas Damon Al's character like his cartoon hot but he looks like Milo I knew when I watched that show like immediately that you would be into Milo also Damon alar hot sorry hey man it's fine I will say you do see
an adult version of him the last three episodes I watched last night You see an adult version of him because because the way that the show is he was a teenager in that one because the way that the show is it's not May man it's not may it was like they are children in the first three that sucks I don't like do it's a cartoon let me like let's be clear yeah no we no what is I don't even remember was sorry that's oh okay I was also shocked they only have two seasons Nine episodes
and They're like one of the longest maybe is like 50 but they go to 40 to 50 minutes they're the way that they were able and they sent it three episode like Snippets so the first three second three third three and you have all nine episodes the way that they wrote them is so [ __ ] impressive I don't know how they were able to sum things up the way that a character was having like a mental [ __ ] breakdown and they were they Just showed it through imagery alone like no like dialogue or
anything it was just the the artwork they that they used like it was just insane show like someone's in internal struggle and just like that was so fascinating that show is just extremely creative and I love to [ __ ] see it I'm like that's one of my top like shows I'd say top five like actually of all time yeah okay period yeah and it that makes me all the more excited because they're not like done Building that world that was just the first introduction to these characters so I don't even know like how they're
going to T like what going on um it's kind of like you have like this city and then you have what they call it they call it the UND City so you kind of have your high and mighty people who are like kind of living well is it like dystopian sort of like there's like a Hunger Games type [ __ ] going on no no it's just like so who's living under Fantasy world type thing like that's not like a you got people scraping by like in the other City you've got people that are being
neged Ed you've got them breathing in Smoke from these fissures like and then these people living like so Lake stage capitalist right and it's and then they have the kind of Civil War type thing where these people are trying to be their own like state of Zan is what they call it rather than just being a part of the city they want to break Off and like be separate a bit of a political drama it's extremely serious yes dude and not only just that but it tackles like the first episode literally starts off with you
seeing this man pick up these children and they see their dead mother on the bridge that's literally how it starts and they're from the unders City because that whole thing was these people from the UND City trying to like [ __ ] fight back yeah or just Literally be loud and like just be heard type thing it tugs my heartstrings it's so [ __ ] good I please watch it like I mean if you if you you want to sponsor us cuz this was a commercial yeah like please man run me a check run specifically
Hannah check yeah I actually would love that yeah guys like I could always talk about Arcane but it just I'm excited for the World building like that that story is just not done but I'm going to have To wait years now like it took them that's one of the things with animation is it takes forever and they were going to take the time necessary it's like SPID exactly I'm so exced for one of those that show they had it's like they have a multi- universe type thing that they tackle it's really [ __ ] weird

take time and effort I don't know how many of you guys are just sitting down having conversations with any family members loved ones older people like on a personal level like as a friend would like discuss things or get to know somebody you just know them from like being like this older adult in your life I guess I don't know like it's an authority figure but now that I'm an Adult I want to know their lore you I I also want to know like what they have gone through in their life that has affected my
parents to then affect me you know what I mean and I don't even mean like in a generational trauma way even though I'm sure we all have that but even in just like a sweet way like what have I the the things that have been passed down without us knowing like that actually came from the grandparent or even like people even further along Than that so it's just I'm and also this would be cool just to have like for us on hand yeah just I would watch this with somebody else too so if y'all are

on and being like if you voted for Trump you're a [ __ ] idiot I do think that was a stupid ass thing to do I don't think that was in anyone's best interest the way that I'm feeling about it now though is like I'm trying to look At it from a perspective of how we've talked about it in the past of people who are very confused on like media literacy don't need to be like shamed for it they need to be helped you know what I mean understand I understand like yeah I get by
your C like you don't fully regret it and type things like that yeah leing uping those feelings were completely like valid feelings as someone who's so deeply affected by what Trump is about to do that anger should be totally allow also I'm not out here [ __ ] like being like I'm not harming like I'm not putting a someone in physical harm like it no like this is yeah this but I do wonder and I don't know the answers how conducive that is to trying to help people understand why that was a stupid ass [
__ ] thing to do to just shame them you know what I mean and on the other hand it's like empathy and like being like playing Devil's Advocate has gotten us nowhere so how do you how do you go about some people are going to get their feelings hurt no matter what saying that would hurt somebody's feelings but it's also like do you understand why I [ __ ] feel the need to say that do you yeah I mean like do you understand how I even got there so it's like both sides it's and I

I have never been alone with myself so I've really pumped the breaks on the dating apps but I still like to flirt with people from time to time on there flirting is fun so yeah I mean I'm like an adult woman there they have needs you know like you can do what you want though Ser like yeah just a little Bit of like flirting and getting it on myself a little bit but the attachment styles are crazy y'all should look into that and like get to know that for yourself there we took like a little

little bit better if that's not something you've looked Into yeah because the only person that's going to know you like I mean the the best like I mean you you've known yourself the longest like why are you not trying to get get to know yourself more with things like this like this is a helpful thing to understand about yourself so you know how to approach any relationship not just a romantic one like I mean why why would you not want to like do better for yourself as well as for your relationships that you have Right

my friends would do that for me so I'm super super super grateful always for my friendships and my sister's the same way like she's kind of a friend in her own sense um always yeah so I'm grateful for Community always Community is so important you need so important it's so absolutely necessary it yeah um but on like a more like I'm also super grateful for the access that I have in this world I've been thinking a lot About that recently with like a lot of the stuff that's going on like I have access to a
warm home clothes always I'm never hungry um the internet truly is like its own sense of community its own sense of information the fact that we have this podcast and we have are trying to little corner of community shs love that for us I do too I'm really hoping we're able to like build that yeah yeah so there's a lot of [ __ ] going on but there is a lot of stuff in My like on a a micro level like macro level I'm very stressed out micel feeling very I love how you put that

where the Marine Corps is going to send us next or if Joseph is going to be home that's her husband um or if Joseph is going to be home because he's gone all the time like can we just normalize saying that we don't know and it' be an adequate answer people think that just because of my situation I have to have things figured out and have a plan but buddy I am just trying to make it through the next week don't ask me about anything more than 5 to seven days out because I don't know
I haven't had the chance to think about it Also you are not behind on life if you don't have kids or are married by a certain age I keep seeing awful men on social media talk about women being less thanin or defective if they are still single in their mid 20s or if they don't have kids by 30 it is 1,000% okay to be single and childfree being a parent is hard and maintaining a relationship is hard please take care of yourself and if it's meant to be it will be don't try to force things
just to meet the pressure That Society puts on young women life is not a race and just because others are getting married or having kids doesn't mean you need to do it as well do it when you are ready and if you are never ready that is not a problem either choosing to not get married or have kids ever is not the end of the world people need to stop pressuring people into things period Liz I am thankful to I am thankful to have a great support system life is crazy but having a solid friend
