As you can see, the main hero of the story, Cooper, is looking for an event related to his daughter's past wherever he is turning. In fact, in one scene, he is able to see his own past version. But how?
Well, in the movie, it is shown that as soon as he enters a black hole, he falls into a four-dimensional object, Tesseract Cube. This science, as you all know, has been told to be bang-on accurate, that it is based on real science. So, can we really jump into a 4D object and control the fourth dimension, that is, the dimension of time?
Well, how would it feel if we could actually access the dimension of time? Are there higher dimensions than time dimensions? Different versions of string field theory prove that there can be anywhere from 5 to 26 dimensions in the universe.
Super string theory proves that there are 36 dimensions in the universe. So, can we, as humans, even visualize these dimensions? And if yes, then how?
Well, before understanding all these mind-boggling concepts, let's take a look at another interesting observation. Let's take a look at this scene from the perspective of his daughter. Here, you can see that Cooper is able to interact with his daughter.
But his daughter is not able to see or hear him, but in some weird way, she is only able to feel him. Her expression seems to be like she is able to feel the presence of someone around her. So, do we, the souls, or ghosts, are they the same beings of another dimension who are trying to communicate with us from that dimension?
And if 4th dimensional beings have this kind of superpower that they can control time, then what kind of superpowers will those living in the 10th dimension have? Well, let's take a deep dive into the world of these dimensions and clear up all the sense and nonsense in it forever. And let's understand what is the actual scientific consensus on this topic and what is pseudoscience.
So, well friends, when I was studying these dimensions, I came to know that there are many videos claiming that there are 10 dimensions in the universe. And according to this theory, as soon as you enter the 3rd to the 4th dimension, as soon as you enter that realm, you will get the power to control time. With the help of this power, you will be able to slow down time, rewind fast forward, and do all these things.
Conveniently speaking, you will be able to select any favorite moment on the screen and live it again. In fact, even in the Interstellar movie, Cooper had this power. So you will have access to information.
You will not have the power to change it. So if we want to change the information or our past in these dimensions, then we will have to go to the 6th dimension. As soon as you step into the 6th dimension, you will basically get all the powers that the MCU's Doctor Strange has.
Now, if you have seen the Infinity War movie of the Avengers, then Doctor Strange is sitting like this and looking at all the 14,605,000 possibilities of war one by one. And after that, he himself gives the Time Stone to his enemy, Thanos. And he does this only because Doctor Strange has seen in all these possibilities that in the particular timeline, he is giving the Time Stone to Thanos without any conflict.
Only in that timeline, Thanos loses in the end. In the other timelines, unfortunately, all the Avengers lose. That means he basically saw all the possibilities of life that came out of his actions.
He just selected the best and in a way, wrote his own future. Marvel-less, right? But there's still a limitation.
In the 6th dimension, you can only see your own timelines and that too only the existing timelines and manipulate them. You cannot create new timelines. If you also want this power, then you will have to rise up to the 7th or 8th dimension.
My actual analysis and scientific perspective, whether there is a consensus on these concepts of modern science or not, I have not started it yet. So, before understanding the abilities of the being who can access the 7th and 8th dimension, So, before understanding the abilities of the being who can access the 7th and 8th dimension, So, look, the reason is basically this. According to a famous American physicist, Hugh Everett, whenever we face any choice in life, our timelines divide into two parts.
And if we look at it from a macro perspective, then our timeline finally appears to be branched. Now, in this case, suppose this is your current timeline, in which you have all the choices that you had taken. So, in this, you can see that the common origin is one, which is your birth.
And according to this, by reaching the 6th dimension, you can manipulate the choices of your timeline, which are after that origin point. But the most important choice, which means, in which house you will be born, your origin will not be in your control. This will only be possible when you become a 7th or 8th dimensional being.
Meaning, all in all, by reaching the 8th dimension, you have seen your future, you have seen the problems that will occur in it, and you have even chosen where you will be born. But, don't you think these abilities are still incomplete? I mean, whatever you are able to do so far, you are able to do it with your own timeline.
You are not yet able to control the timeline of others, nor do you have the power to control this universe. So, technically, on the scale of this universe, you are still not ultimately powerful. You will only be able to develop this ability, but the whole multiverse and the separate timelines of those countless multiverses, all of this will be accessed in your control.
And in this way, by climbing the ladder of higher dimensions, your abilities will keep on upgrading, and finally, you will become the strongest and most powerful being in the universe. But, is this even true? Well, to understand this, first of all, let's see, what is the meaning of dimensions from a strictly scientific perspective.
And look, this is quite simple. Don't think this is a big deal. So, the meaning of dimension is fundamentally, that anything in space can move freely.
For example, this is a point, which neither has any length, nor is it wide, nor is it high. So, at this point, you can't move freely in any direction. And that's why, this is a zero-dimensional space.
But, if I stretch this point and make it longer, then a line will be formed. And on this line, you can move freely in at least one direction. And that's why, this line is a one-dimensional space.
Now, when you stretch this line like this, a square will be formed. In which, you can move freely in two dimensions, front, back, and left, right. So, this becomes our two-dimensional space.
And finally, when I extend this square upwards, then a cube is formed, where you can move freely in three different dimensions, front, back, left, right, and up and down. And because we can move freely in three different dimensions in our universe, that's why we say that we live in a 3D universe. Now, if you want to step on this, that is, in 4D space, then you have to extend this cube further and make a space of this shape, which we mathematically call a tesseract cube.
Now, will we be able to control time by jumping in this 4D tesseract cube? No. Well, I highly doubt that, and I think so do you.
Because, according to Einstein's theory of relativity framework, our universe is actually 4D, but its fourth dimension is not in space, but in time. But here, the thing is that the nature of this time dimension is fundamentally different. It is not a dimension like space, but it is totally different.
And how is this dimension different from the space dimension? We will talk about this further. But with this same notion, basically, in the Interstellar movie, a sci-fi khichdi has been cooked by merging two different definitions.
When Cooper enters the black hole, he falls into the tesseract cube representing the four dimensions of space. But then, when he enters it, he begins to control the fourth dimension of time proposed by Einstein. And you will see the same logic in many videos on YouTube.
Now, why is this logic wrong? Well, just because this entire logic is based on an assumption, that our universe works like a pre-planned block universe, in which all the events have already happened, but are only being played in real time. And that is why we can play time in the universe in the form of forward and backward.
For example, in the space dimension, we can move forward and backward. Consider this universe as a DVD, in which all the events' information is already installed. And it is possible to play it backward and forward.
Now, look at the problem in this. If we visualize our universe like this, then technically, it is proving that this universe is deterministic. And nothing is happening randomly in this universe, which is not pre-determined.
Whereas quantum mechanics, which is the main branch of science, has proved many times that everything in the universe happens at the most basic or fundamental level, that is, at the quantum level, randomly. And to prove this nature of the universe, last year, scientists were awarded the Nobel Prize. So, the concept of understanding time as a dimension like space, is clearly creating a big paradox.
But, you know what's funny? There are two more paradoxes in the line. The first one is the grandfather paradox.
According to this paradox, if one of us, in time, goes backward in time and changes our timeline, then the timeline of the rest of the people related to it will collapse like a domino effect. And even the assumption of the original block universe, that everything is already written, will go against it. Because it's like, everything is written to say, but in every few seconds, the syllabus is constantly changing.
And this is the reason, even if there is a higher dimensional being of a ghost or a soul, and sitting there and touching our timeline, its probability is extremely unlikely. The second paradox is the collapse of entropy concept of thermodynamics. Now, at this point, we will also learn about the real concept of time.
Theoretical physicist Carlo Rovelli, who has written a book called The Order of Time, has said that time is just an illusion. Which is derived from constant repeated motion. For example, the constant repeated motion of the clock, the constant repeated motion of the earth around itself, the constant repeated motion of the earth around the sun, which measures any kind of change in the universe.
For example, if we are going from point A to point B, then the distance we covered, to measure that, the kilometer is taken as a unit in the picture. In the same way, a thing called A, which was about to change in B, how far did it reach on the way of that change? For that, time was brought into the frame.
So, the point here is that time is not a magical thing, which is creating change. Change is being done by the second law of thermodynamics, entropy, dark energy, quantum fluctuations. Time only measures those changes.
Now, psychologically, we realize the flow of time because, as the second law of thermodynamics says, the entropy of the universe is constantly increasing. In simple terms, the information of our universe will always keep increasing. Like, 13.
7 billion years ago, everything in the world was in one single point. That is, the information was almost zero. But then, the big bang happened.
The universe started expanding. Protons, electrons and neutrons were born from energy. And then, these fundamental particles together, created more than 150 different elements.
And finally, today, we have come so far in time, that these elements have made planets, galaxies, solar systems, and even humans like us. In short, the randomness of the universe, that is, the constant change due to entropy, new information was added, and to measure this change, we created a framework, that is called time. Now, according to the second law of thermodynamics, as we learned that the entropy of the universe will always keep increasing, that is, it will keep moving forward in the same direction, and hence, if time is measured by the space dimension, it will clearly break the law of thermodynamics.
And hence, this became another paradox. And thus, the way the time dimension is shown in movies or fictional videos, is a wrong interpretation. Now, hopefully, you have understood the real nature of time.
So, does this mean that Einstein's framework is wrong? Einstein himself did not believe in the framework of the block universe. In fact, in relativity, the framework of time has been used to measure only relative motion.
In other words, it can be moved forward and backward whenever you want. He considered time to be an integrated dimension of space. A special dimension, which is beautifully integrated from space due to the special constant nature of light.
In the framework of their relativity. This is because the sci-fi industry has blown out their scientific theories out of proportion, and it has started spreading rapidly in pop culture. Because it's so much more cool than actual boring reality.
Now, you see, even I had to show all this and attract you as well. But in my experience, only new people are attracted like this. Once they are in and see the real science, they enjoy more than science fiction, knowing the real reality or true nature of the universe.
Because that is the true fundamental nature of every human being. To fundamentally understand our world and our universe. For what it actually is.
Now, as far as other dimensions are concerned, as I said earlier, the string theory that predicts these dimensions, has at least three popular variations. And predicts three different dimensions. Like super string theory predicts 10 dimensions.
M theory predicts 11 dimensions. And bosonic string theory predicts 26 dimensions. If we talk about Kaluza-Klein precursor theory, it predicts 5 dimensions.
And all of this is ultimately just a mathematical framework. In which dimensions have been added to balance our equations. Basically, we are shooting in the dark.
To better understand this, you have to understand why string field theory was made. When in 1960s, scientists were trying to understand how quarks hold themselves in protons and neutrons, then they tested many mathematical models. Which could justify the behavior of protons, neutrons and quarks.
Now, in this process, one of those mathematical calculations turned out to be such that these particles have to exist not as round spheres, but as vibrating strings. Like when we play guitar strings, the vibrations in them are individual particles. And these sections are the source of strong nuclear force, which holds these particles together.
So, all in all, according to string theory, an entire atom is a group of vibrating strings. So now, where does the head of dimensions come in? Originally, when this theory was made, forces in a combined way because we are looking for a son-in-law for the theory of everything.
A theory that can combine classical physics and quantum physics working on large objects. Now where did the problem come? Well, the calculation of string theory and the other three forces, i.
e. strong nuclear force, weak nuclear force and electromagnetic force, were able to explain them. But in the case of gravitational force, classical and quantum physics are only In calculations, it was assumed that these strings vibrate in more than 3 dimensions.
And here comes the confusion of 5, 10, 11, and 26 and all the thoughts associated with it. In short, string theory only predicts the existence of multiple dimensions. How will those dimensions be?
How will the laws of physics work in them? To understand these things, it is still very, very far behind. Because the dimensions mentioned in the calculations are smaller than quarks, pocket dimensions.
So it is possible that the empty space in the atoms in your hand, these pocket dimensions are currently passing through them. What I mean to say is that it is possible that even while watching this video, you are continuously traveling across those dimensions. And you are not even aware of it.
Or it is also possible that this entire framework of string field theory will be destroyed in the future. Because a better theory will come, which will give us the correct answer without weird dimensional predictions. So what do you think?
Do these extra dimensions actually exist? You have watched the video till now. I want you to write your answers in the comments below.
So that even I know that you are really understanding the concepts. Anyway, with time, I think our understanding of these dimensions will get more polished. Especially when we will have such a technology that will be able to visualize the smallest size of the universe beyond the quantum level.
That is, things of the size of the Planck length. That is, things of the size of the Planck length. And trust me, this is a hell of a task.
Because the Planck length is so small that if we make the electron as big as the earth, then in front of it, the Planck length will literally be the size of an atom. In fact, why is the visualization of the Planck length so important in physics? I have already made a detailed video on this topic, which you can click on the i button here and check out.
