[Music] [Music] well modeling is that's a big mistake that people make when they confuse those two things when you copy something you copy it uh when you model something you break it down into small components you build a calculus and you compute what else would be there that you know with Virginia and and with Milton both you know what we did was built a calculus and then Ed that calculus the six tupal to figure out things that they would have done had they lived to be 300 you know had other circumstances occur we could take
the range of skills they had and figure out what they would have done and also we can figure out things that would have never occurred to them which might be useful and uh that having a calculus as a modeler that by breaking things down in into pieces you know you can combine those pieces in various configurations and you know uh that know that there are things you can do with the periodical chemical chart and there are things you cannot explain with it just simply can't and it means it's for some things and not for others
and it's based on you know the idea that there's a neutron and electrons and and and and it and it turns out there is no Neutron you know that the nucleus isn't made out of two parts it's actually made out of particles and so it turns out Neil spores who won the Nobel Prize was wrong but yet we've used that model to create all kinds of wonderful things and we still use it even though we know it's you know in terms of matching the universe oneon-one is not actually correct it's correct enough that we can
use it to manipulate things and create finals and Plastics and all kinds of amazing things and to find new elements uh that or create new elements that a model is just a way of talking about something that allows you to be able to influence it that when you copy something and and mimic it you know if you mimic Milton's voice tone and his gestures it doesn't make you a hypnotist it it makes you an actor
