What I hope happens is that, um, you know, land and power remain with the Hawaiian people and that this doesn't become anything, um, beyond a natural disaster. You know, like I don't wanna see developers or real estate hungry people trying to get in there and, and change the, the conditions. If anything, I hope funding goes back to the Hawaiian people.
One of my former bass players has been living in Maui. Um, I heard that he, you know, luckily he didn't lose his house. Um, I've, I've been friends with Willie Nelson for a while.
I know he lives on Maui, but I haven't not been in touch with him to know if his home is still there. But, you know, when something like this happens in any town, u s a, my heart goes out to them. Whatever causes these enormous tragedies to occur, um, is, you know, beyond sometimes our, our human reach and my heart is just broken for.
