PLAY TEST | Nike Phantom GX 2 Elite Vortex

all right fam welcome back to the channel so today play test of these bad boys now I am really really excited we are on an artificial ground as you can see and I am doing this so you don't have to my goal with this review is not to prove that they should be used only on FG or whatever like that doesn't matter to me um but I do I know a lot of people were like you shouldn't wear them on a ag so I'm going to do it and I'm going to share my thoughts so

if we get to the end of the video and I actually think they're fine for AG I will tell you I doubt that will be the case but uh yeah that's the that's the game plan so we're going to get in them I'm just throwing some socks on and going with my we foot grip socks as well link will be in the description box below Noah 20 for 20% off if you'd like I'm really pumped about these I am super excited that they're coming out with an AG model that's going to be readily available as

well these fit so well out of the box for my foot shape for the wider midfoot and The Wider toe box uh wider super wide toe box maybe not so much um but wide midfoot these feel way more like Hypervenom 3 than the previous generation GX and that is super exciting to me so let's get on feet already all right look at those bad boys also the lighting today because it's a little bit cloudy it's supposed to be super warm today um but usually in Melbourne it gets kind of Cloudy and then oh God I

love the way these fit honestly these are some of the most comfortable boots like one of the most comfortable knit boots I think I've ever had on my feet outside of maybe hyper venom 3 and I'm talking just like straight out of the box obviously as we get more broken in they'll probably get even more comfortable which is kind of scary cuz these already fit my feet essentially perfect straight out of the box like sizing 9 us perfect tiny tiny bit of room on the end but that's fine like I don't mind that at all

um but it's like a comfortable type you know like look at that oh God the colors of this video also look probably really sick as well I can just see it on the little screen behind the camera and um yeah I don't know cloudy skies and an empty pitch make my heart sing so that's just for especially for filming because it just means that I'm going to get some proper footage for you guys which is great so really no complaints like I don't really know what else to say about these boots other than they are

exceptionally comfortable I found in reviewing the Luna 2 which that um that play test will come out after this one of course being that this one came out right after the review Luna review will come out next and then Luna play test after that one but these are really really really comfortable like I I just I can't I I can't express to you how much I think these are going to absolutely slap for a lot of people especially those who found the GX just a little bit too snug for them to be comfortable I think

if you really enjoyed Phantoms of the past I think you're going to really enjoy these boots now here's the sole plate right so it does look really aggressive uh there is quite a bit noticeably less traction on this football pitch as well um but we'll talk about that a little bit as we get into the warm-up of course got to start with a band very very important for warming up making sure you get your uh muscle sorted before we get into the session also feel free to use this as a training video as well so

any of these drills that I'm doing or drills that I do on a pretty regular basis um I'm going to try to keep them with these play tests pretty consistent so most of the drills you see you know there's going to be a little footwork and snq and Agility and then there's going to be some dribbling and then there'll be some shooting and maybe some more bended shots to simulate Crossing like I just want to get a sense of uh you know make just make sure that I kind of cover all my bases when it

comes to the football boots now one of the things that uh you guys can do use this as your own training session and I can just like talk to you and you can learn about the boots as you're doing the same drills I'm doing or you just watch this as a podcast style basically uh as I'm going through the motions um and going through each of the tests with this one which is exciting and people seem to really like this format as well which is great to hear because I absolutely love doing this type of

video really enjoy doing the voice over stuff as I'm going through the drill cuzz I think the live feedback just adds a little bit of extra Pizzazz to it and not only that but I think I'm I'm sort of a market of one if you will like no one else is actually doing this and no one else who actually you know plays properly so yeah kind of cool kind of cool um very much enjoying the fit of these already I mean obviously I've only just done band work so far but uh yeah I mean these

are probably the the most comfortable knit boots in the last couple years straight out of the box which is a huge deal for me and like I was saying before you know I think for a lot of people with the wider midfoot I think these are going to be an absolute Banger of a football boot like I really think you're going to want to test these football boots at some point cuz you know whether you like this colorway or not that's I don't really care about that like feel free to bag on the color that's

not really something that I care about I mean it's all it's all personal preference at the end of the day um so if you don't like the color fair enough I'll put my hands up you know that's not really a big deal that doesn't change the fact that the boots are really good for wide feet um but if you're somebody again who is going to argue about the boots and you've never worn them don't say anything I'm going to keep saying this in my videos cuz I get these questions all the time they're not even

questions I just get people at me in my DM oh well you you got to admit these are worse than the other boots well shut up you haven't tried them you know I just H people are so funny really entertaining to me honestly two other features that I'm noticing straight away as well one is the gently procured I don't know if it was actually gently procured uh but very meaningful difference in the toe box area the extra volume especially as I'm finishing this round the extra volume right here where my toes are is a welcome

site for those of you who uh know any of my GX videos I talk about how I find the toe box like I get kind of numb toes for the first couple wees even though they're super comfortable like I find the boots comfortable but my toes really are kind of crushed up against the end and that is one thing that it seems like they've completely fixed with these like if you have really thin or small toes or really like low volume toes I think you'll be fine with uh the gx1 obviously and I think a

lot of the hate online is actually just coming from people who have a foot shape that fits the gx1 perfectly which is fair enough um but these gx2 fit my foot a little bit better just cuz I have a little bit high volume probably about average toes but I do have that wide foot but the second thing that I want to mention as well that I think is notable is the continued comfort of the heel area now gx1 had a really comfortable heel area I was super impressed with the lockdown and performance of that heel

as well it really seemed like they did a nice job making sure that um that heel area really did wrap your foot in a way that was meaningful whether you were in wet weather conditions or dry weather conditions and so for something like that to be a continuation right I know they they tend to change most of their football boots from generation to generation and so to have one of their sort of undercover standout features of the football boot being the comfort of that heel area with the sort of that little cutout on the back

so that it really kind of molded and shaped to the you know whatever foot shape you had that's a huge feature and if Nike people are watching this thank you because heel blisters are the absolute worst first things first a little bit of ladder little bit of lateral mobility and then we'll switch it up we're just going to go two feet in each first get a little bit warmer and then side to side yeah nice um right away aggression of the soulle plate is very very clear very very clear for AG pitches uh I'm going

to probably continue to say that but expect this boot especially on a Turf pitch like this that's been used quite a bit expect them to not be forgiving for AG pitches and sideways yeah nice the upper feels so good man next little one we'll go some iy Shuffle and then we'll go forward through a little bit of cut cut back and forth nice yeah I mean to be honest look like it's all going to be personal preference at the end of the day for me could I wear this stud pattern on AG yeah probably but

I can also wear most things on AG um but that's just again I don't prefer to but definitely could very nice yeah really good responsiveness despite it being a one piece upper already really impressed with the way that the upper responding to my cutting movements lateral stability seems to be on point which is great to hear for context though if you are somebody who uh really struggles to get into uh boots like this and especially wider fit boots and still have the same amount of lock down and stuff I would say that if you fit

into the gx1 but maybe the lockdown wasn't as good as you wanted it to be I would stay away from these cuz these are like significant not significantly maybe but like quite a bit wider and uh that's something that you just want to make sure you're taking care of your feet and not having any issues with lateral slipping love that oh as I said empty pitch good lighting what a day to film fantastic here we're going to add a ball so same pattern through except we're going to do a little bit of dribbling at the

end so officially first impressions of the dribbling part just going to stick a ball right here kind of at the tail end of that ladder so we can get through some little more complicated ladder drills and then we'll just do some like Freestyle dribbling through the cones which will be great so in and out out for the pattern for those of you who are actually following this as a session and then first couple touches oh such a free sensation on feet man I love that okay so really fantastic touch on the ball great first impression

um for those who loved gx1 and what the touch off offered I think these are going to be half a step better the reason for that is because as I mentioned in the unboxing portion of the video The Ridges from the Luna one that they've incorporated into the upper of this gx2 really do add to the manageability of the grrip knit so if you can see here so these ridges all over the upper so obviously they kind of go this way there and and then they go in that Vortex pattern down that way and then

same on the InStep and what that does is distributes or I guess actually lowers the amount of surface area that's contacting the ball less surface area with the same amount of grip or relatively Sim amount of grip means overall less grip on the ball so that's a very makes it very manageable which is super nice so as you're dribbling as you're coming up and touching the ball it doesn't feel overly grippy like the gx1 did cuz the gx1 a lot of people found that like they would be dribbling and their foot felt like it would

stick to the ball that's not the case with these so you still you know we'll get into some striking and stuff a little bit later in the session and my guess is that's where you'll really notice this and the grip knit and stuff but so far this is a dry pitch it hasn't rained in a couple days here and so to have a boot like this that gives you that the like the grip is available if you want it but it's not overwhelming which is pretty awesome now as far as objective responsiveness of a soul

plate it's fine like I don't think it's anything crazy special um but for me uh I think I would have preferred o hello I think I would have preferred the gx1 soul plate over this one uh I think most people probably would just because the Luna Soul plate is kind of eh that being said like if you really if I if I were to not have the pretext of like you know I don't really like the Luna at all and this was just the soul plate that they put on there I probably wouldn't be too

mad honestly it's not that bad like it's not like Hypervenom Phantom 2 or Predator Edge bad or upper of Luna bad you know like context is important and so if you've tried all of those boots that I mentioned oh yeah I love that God touch on the ball here just so satisfying if you're used to those other boots that I've told you like contextually this SLE plate is fine so next little drill we're going to jump into is a dribbling drill now this you'll see pieces and parts of this same drill across M multiple play

test videos but we're going to start here at the bottom of the triangle we're going to do a little bit of skill move come around on this little thing go full figure eight so all the way over and around so once we come out this side right we'll come up we're going to dribble through the cones another figure8 on the far end come back dribble through the cones and then you finish as you cross this line of two cones reset catch your breath do your thing the idea behind this is really getting short sharp touches

little explosions of change of direction and change of pace and then tight touch dribbling explosion out of the cones again and uh little short sharp touches again so we're going to start with uh just a v cut here or like a V touch so one two one two you go through six times so six rounds of these V cuts and then you're all the way through the drill so here we go really getting a sense of uh what the boots are like in a little bit more again we're picking up the pace a little bit

trying to test the boot see what if there's any hot spots any any places on the boot where I feel tension or uh places where you know there's slippage or any of that stuff so here we go nice 5 six awesome all the way coming around and then here we go through through explode out boom nice little figure eight as well and back through lovely lovely okay so first piece right on the very edge where my foot is widest it is now starting to get a little bit sore but that comes with uh that comes

with breaking time for pretty much every boot I'm not surprised that that's the case um but it's super minor it's not like crushing my foot to the point of being numb which is which is huge so let's get one more rep in of that one and we'll uh maybe give some feedback as well two three four five six go around the other way now little figure eight Soul plates responding well all the way through boom touch play nice love that no pressure points so far as well which is nice on the SLE plate uh that

might come a little bit later when we start doing shooting cuz as you you know set yourself up for a shot and you come around and you plant that's often when you feel at least for me where I feel the most like super intensive thing so next one we're just going to do a little behind the back L turn and then play like that and then L turn because this one's a little more intensive we're just going to go four on the end and same pattern moving through nice good I mean hey on FG surfaces

this soulle plate underfoot feeling like taking the ball and doing little rollovers feels super satisfying missed that one that's all right super satisfying so any sort of manipulation like this feels very good with these boots very very good I get like I don't know if better than gx1 underfoot manipulation but it sure feels Sol like it feels very solid very very solid all right round two here we go nice nice love that come around here we go love that touch play Bang Bang nice lovely yeah man these are these are quality these feel so good

and again this like the first 30 minutes and I'm already like absolutely digging These Boots so yeah the uh this SLE plate really nice for like on ball manipulation like rolling and stuff very cool last round here of dribbling we're going to go two rounds through this is going to be the final oh bugs are everywhere hello uh welcome to Australia guys um so last one same pattern to start with except we're coming up all the way and then down and around so as we go through just a little bit of a different skill here

and then as I get to this area here I'm going to be a little more creative instead of dribbling like as fast as I can through the cones which by the way fantastic love it um but this one I maybe go like here stop back through chop back like I'll do something a little bit different a little more creative it's the last one so be be yourself um do whatever you got to do doesn't have to be at a thousand perc uh but do get through quickly and creatively that's the idea all right here we

go touch play lice yep and again four last one and go through lovely great touches yeah okay nice God I really like the feel of this upper oh no losing it there we go h a little more creative there got to think on my toes it's our still early next one so I am thoroughly enjoying these boots thoroughly enjoying these boots I can't wait to get some proper strikes we got one more set of this and then we're into striking and passing the ball which will be great here we go all the way through oh

hello oh I got to start that over again I totally lost that okay one oh no okay third times the charm goodness gracious all right here we go third time all the way through up and down and around up and down and around up and down and around boom and out the other side touch play yes love that and go the other way now cool figure eight love it boots are feeling great oh no oh no all right there we go so all the way through now starting to get a proper sweat on getting warm

which is great legs are feeling good um again just on the outside of those boots or actually I'll take them off and I'll show you guys okay so first time taking the boots off this session I'm just going to give my feet a little bit of a chill because we're a little over halfway or about halfway through the session there you go I think they look really good I like this color way maybe not the best in the world but as far as launch colorways go I don't mind them so now that my feet are

a little bit sweaty you can see how soft like look at that one piece upper so so good um one thing that I am noticing too is this Nike Swoosh I don't know if they did this on purpose or not but I can definitely feel this area where there's a little bit and to be fair there's a synthetic that goes you know that dark material there um great TV show by the way his dark materials um this this synthetic material and the coating that's over the grip knit prime or grip knit and fly knit upper

provides a decent amount of lateral stability here in the midfoot and sort of heel area and so as I'm pushing through the boot in that area like pushing out through here I'm getting a little bit of resistance there where this Nike SSH is cu it is a solid like plastic synthetic material um but the rest of this boot like look at how soft those are very very very nice really good and one of the biggest parts of why I find boots annoying sometimes is that this piece of the and I will say Predator I'll talk

about predator in just a second but this area right here isn't soft and so I can't get the flex of my foot I want as I'm trying to take a strike or a long ball or a pass or something that's one thing that I find gives um the sensation of feeling a little bit muted as far as boots go so something like a Copa pure that just doesn't have a lot of flexibility in the Striking surface area really feel it feels like my feet are really numb in them and not from the St standpoint of

them making my feet numb uh but they just don't feel like I have I want a Barefoot sensation when I strike the ball because I want to be able to curl my toes up or do whatever I have to to get that technique properly and these definitely feel like they're going to give me that so let's um I'll just put these back on as you guys are standing here and uh we will lace these bad boys up and start getting some strikes on goal my hope is to do some I'm going to get some uh

angled shots so that more simulate like crossing a bit um little bit more finishing far post kind of drills that you guys have seen in previous play test videos and then we'll also do some little 1V one straight to goal type shots and then we'll get some free free kicks in at the end so we'll do about three more like kind of mini sections if you will to really cover all of the bases and then maybe we'll do some like set pieces and stuff at the end just to just to kind of round out the

experience of the first play test but I got to tell you what um this boot is definitely higher volume than gx2 or gx1 excuse me and so like the amount of flexibility and comfort I have in that upper is very very nice some people will be annoyed that there's like extra flopp space here uh and stuff there I haven't noticed it yet so we'll we'll kind of see as we get further into the video Let's Get it so first before I get into any like serious shooting I'm just going to do a little bit of

like kind of passing warmup here so all I'm going to do is I've got all 12 balls and I'm just going to take each one from the center and go right foot Left Foot Right Foot left foot spill it out in front of me little touch in front and then not necessarily a strike like not a crazy strike it's just going to be like a down like that and then I'm just GNA try to hit it with that strike surface just to get a feel for what it's like and just get my legs warmed up

to be fair as well so here we go right foot first just out very nice love that touch it's fine just getting that technique down as we start shooting warming up the groins man I tell you what this upper feels really nice shooting man this is going to be fun I think there we go all right last one switch angles lovely all right we'll get you guys behind the goal all right here we go last last half of the batch last six again maybe picking it up a little bit getting a little bit more power

behind it but my goal is more more just to get that just to get that clean kind of strike which these feel lovely a little bit poor there that's all right just got to be less nonchalant you know boom lovely oh the sound of that net e just as you start to strike as it hits the net nice love that perfect here we go crossbar get that like reverse swerve on it here we go nice yeah I mean hey look first impressions striking with these is pretty class really love the way these feel as I

said before um predictions are true they definitely give a very good Barefoot sensation so I can kind of crimp my foot however I want get whatever technique which I think for this next drill with more of a bended shot like into side netting into the top Corner ideally will be so so good pretty standard here for the dribbling drill all we're going to be doing is coming around the outside touching inside of as if we're about to shoot cutting back and then again this touch here for those of you again watching as a training drill

you have the guideline as the 18 I want to take my touch almost parallel or even a little bit backwards Wards to really get the amount of swerve and whip that I'm looking for to get it far post unfortunately this net is a bit broken so it won't have that satisfying like whoosh or like sound you guys all know what I'm talking about uh when it hits the top bins but it will go through that little you know Deo there so no problems but we'll get a couple here and then we'll start switching angles a

bit just so you guys can get a good sense of uh what the boots look like striking the ball and of course uh you know hopefully I can get get some of these in in top bins which is great we're just out here enjoying the weather here we go touch play there not a BD not a not a horrible first one but not a great first one not even a good first one probably that's all right here we go back through we're just going to end that one okay now we're switched on guys here we

go touch play I think I just saw knuckle there that would be pretty Sensational if these become like the uh if these become like the uh wave ignitis from God I love the feeling you get while striking these in these man I know my strikes aren't coming off that well but goodness gracious here we go oh that's not great okay I got to go grab that ball uh we'll be back and we'll switch angles so funny enough the turf pitch that's just like you could see it in the background of the other one it's like

raised probably 3 meter meter and a half up that way is actually a lot better Turf it's like a much longer it feels much newer so I think from now on for play test purposes I'll probably try to go up to that one just cuz it's uh just a little bit nicer this one's definitely more used and stuff which isn't an issue can handle this stuff but yeah just kind of cool there's like a newer newer pitch up there so here we go next one cut back nice good curve on that one as well very

cool so yeah I mean honestly it's one of those things that like that Barefoot Sensation that you get when striking the ball when coming around really does feel as if you're playing barefoot in a way that's uh pretty nice I would say I think for for most foot shapes this is going to be awesome this is going to be a really welcome sight and through lovely lovely lovely yeah really really good feel for the ball when you're striking which to be honest I'm not surprised given that this is Nike's new Phantom and pretty much every

Phantom Other than maybe a few have been oh I love that every every Phantom pretty much have been like excellent excellent boots for striking the ball if you guys have a phantom that you know of that really wasn't up to par as far as striking a ball goes let me know down in the comments below but this is definitely not one of them nice love that okay last four let's get you guys switched to a different angle see the bend of that ball and we'll finish up and head off to the left side that's what

I'm looking for bang look at that just again excellent excellent feel for the ball excellent feel for the ball touch little bit low but decent shot there no issues soulle play doesn't feel too crazy like I don't I'm not feeling some any mad pressure points which is good there we go touch play oh that had a nice shape to it a little bit wide though that's all right um no pressure points yet and you know I've done quite a bit already which is great so that's a good sign last one bend it in almost there

so yeah as I was saying pressure points so right here um I think some people might have issues with these two studs and these two studs just because those are like kind of the most aggressive but I don't think I mean at least for me on this pitch which is like as bad as it it's going to get as far as the surfaces that all play on here um because most of them will be FG and they'll be natural grass this one feels fine again it's not my favorite I'm definitely going to try to stay

away from wearing this FG s stud pattern on these on this AG pitch I am getting the AG model so you guys will see a full review of those um but yeah no complaints there and uh brilliant striking surface as well so let's hop into the left side all right strong side here we go get all the way through boom touch play not a bad first one little wrap around there love that man God these boots are freaking awesome I can't wait to go test these out on a grass pitch as well oh that feels

so good it's really like I wouldn't say it's vapor Barefoot but it is damn close it is damn close this knit is really nice little bit much on that one that's all right last one here we'll switch to angles boom God I'm just having a blast I need to switch into being a Winger oh see I need to be a Winger hey right so the goal is to get that same shot that's literally like what we like to call in the states a postage stamp I know people have them here as well but that's like

the term we use for that type of shot where it just goes absolutely perfectly into the top Corner freaking sick man I love those so satisfying when they come off your foot cuz you're like yep that's going straight into top bins and good luck to the keeper all right here we go next four nice God I love the feeling that this boot gives you I really like I think this is going to be such a popular especially in the AG model now because a lot of people are going to be switched off by the Luna

Soul plate on this one I would guess that oh my days yo if you someone needs a right winger let me know I don't want to play left back anymore I just want to play right winger cut in cut to the side cross the ball I'm freaking decent crossing the ball with my right foot by the way I just need a little bit of come on come on come on you can't deny that what's it going to be last one hey oh that was poor well okay last angle for these ones um but again look

striking the ball with this football boot is a joy it genuinely is so nice um as I was saying before people are going to be turned off by the Luna Soul plate but for me I think it's one of those situations where you just have to evaluate like what you like bike and if you're in Australia or in Europe in places where they play predominantly on FG pitches or you're in but you're or you're in Southeast Asia or in America where they PR predominantly on AG pitches and parts of Europe I guess too that's kind

of be up to you I really like the AG Soul plate for the from the gx1 that's going to be integrated into this boot so I cannot wait to feel what that feels like um but honestly the Luna s plate it's performing fine I'm not really worried about it I do think think that it's going to be actually a decent soulle plate on FG the bladed studs I think are really going to dig into the ground and you'll find that you have quite a bit of traction um in all the best ways that you want

so um maybe a little bit much for this surface but to be to be fair like that's going to be a personal preference for you yo come on come on come on come on right winger not a left back good shape on that ball I genuinely oh man like sure I have good technique like fair enough but like sometimes it's hard to do that in Copa PES or in other boots that don't have that same kind of Barefoot and also the grippiness which we'll talk about in just a sec let me just rip this one

in right as I say that I just absolutely Shank the crap out of that so the grippiness in my opinion it's just that I don't know whether Nike was going going for this or not I'd love to talk to a Nike rep so Nike reps if you're out there hit me up honestly would love to have a tech talk with you guys um but I don't know if this was like purposeful but it feels like they were trying to accomplice accomplice can't speak English either they were trying to AC Jesus they were trying to accomplish

the most natural grip so whereas GX felt like a tool that you were using like a grip tool it was very it was very grippy and which I love don't get me wrong like as you guys know I used it I Rave about that boot I love it these ones feel like dialed down just a tiny bit so it feels more natural and so as it comes off your foot you're not like holy crap that's a lot of spin it's like okay yeah this is just like a slightly exaggerated version of what I was going

for which is kind of cool it's like I don't know if that makes sense at all but anyway that's here we go last one H let's go one more let's go one more I want to get a good one but yeah that's that's kind of how I would picture like that's how if I was in Nike's headquarters designing boots that's what I would be I would be like how can we how can we create the most natural feeling sensation on feet while dialing up the aggressiveness of that skill or that feature just a little bit

Ah okay we'll end it there probably Meg to the goalkeeper anyway so yeah let's jump into uh the last little bit of shooting part on the center of the pitch so all right next exercise last little bit here I've got six balls on either side basically what I'm going to do is I'm going to start on goal side play here and I'm just going to touch up really explode out turn the corner and then I'm going to shift out to the right first and we're going to shoot the goal is to shoot across the goal

so the goal is for either side if I'm shooting right footed to get kind of that whip Bend into the Finish far post and then same with the left foot so it's just going to be pretty much freestyle again use this box as like total license for creativity that's at least how I like to look at it um really just get whatever kind of touches you want in there if it's a little you know if you stutter and you slow down a little bit that's fine just get the main thing is to get that little

shift out of your body and rip it um and again form overpower first or technique overpower I guess is the more eloquent way to say that and we'll go from there decent strike a little bit too Central um for like if we're talking just the football piece of this but man that comes off the foot so sweetly I love that yeah got to be smoother in there so that that entry touch is just a little bit better there we're going to go three this side swap angles three that side three this side three that side

good lift nice good strike probably straight into the Keeper's hands though let's go left side first little batch to left side let's get it touch touch on feet cross body decent accuracy not the greatest Rip but getting there again just trying to test these see how they go with different striking surfaces touch Play Ooh not what I wanted that's all right little finish oh just trying to go for top BS there another postage stamp if you will I don't know what's so hard for me to say s's today postage almost screw that up again all

right last one here there we go love that yeah sweet sweet striking surface I love honestly like the area where they've done kind of this surface feels so seamless and so nice to strike a ball with this is like man okay let's talk Predator gx2 feels more natural on feet than the Predator does the Predator definitely has more grip definitely has more grip on the pr especially in that striking area but you get from a surface area perspective you get more of of the grip element obviously here on the GX which is great man I

don't know what that was well that's all right so yeah so predator also has a significantly at least it feels a little more hybrid touch 2.0 is awesome no doubt it's awesome um the knit is just a different style of boot so you just get a little bit of a different sensation um yeah we'll count that as a deflection and in it's just a different style of material in Upper which to be fair if that's what you're into that's what you're into like no hate if you think the Predators were a better boot for you

you know just because I'm praising the GX keep in mind GX is like one of my favorite boots so um it's not surprising that I feel this way about the second generation God that sucked so for me it's like you know look at what fits your foot the best look at what features you're looking for if you're looking for okay getting there if you're looking for a boot that's going to give you a Barefoot sensation compared to the two these are going to be the one if you want something that gives you like Power boot

go with The Predator right dive oh here we go back into it come back the other way near post yaa okay well let's move on to some free kicks let's get it here we go we're about 20 maybe 23 24 M out so the idea is to get this into that near poost Little Triangle um so yeah here we go try not to hit anybody either all right first one zero out of 10 that's okay same run up every time there we go love that beautiful feels nice just focusing on technique that's how you get

you to see my face when I say this don't complain about a boot you haven't tried period you don't see me complaining about stuff I haven't tried I hear things are bad and maybe I have an expectation that they're bad but until you've tried it don't knock it period end of story that goes with people that goes with things that goes with football boots teams coaches some football boots may be perfect for you and they may suck for somebody else and they may suck for your best friend and your best friend's going to say o

These suck and you're going to lose on the opportunity to wear the best boots that you've ever put on your feet because you're so goddamn concerned about what your friends think I'm just going to keep ranting about this for the rest of my life all right free kick here we go last one we're going to bang in an absolute Gazo and then we're going to wrap this video up CU I'm feeling good on target not where I want it so we're going to go one or two more I've got two more balls maybe I'll do

a free kick tutorial at some point of how I like to do mine there we go bang I like that pretty good little bit over the wall let's jump into the conclusion all right guys so wrapping up this video with the Phantom gx2 playing on AG my feet are a little bit sore um so I would probably recommend and argue definitively that these are not great for AG pitches they're fine so if you had to wear them if you say say you play on AG pitches 30 or less perent of your season and you play

on AG pitches um that's I I would say go for it by the by the FG model so that for the FG you can be you can be okay um but for AG pitches I would say if you're predominantly going to be playing on AG pitches uh if this is what you train on this is what you play on just go for the AG it's just going to make your life weight easier you're going to feel a little more stable I think underfoot and you're not going to get any weird like bending or Bo As

you move really aggressively through uh a training session or a match which is which is super good which is important so for me this is a top quality football boot I got to admit I have after I uh took them off for that first time halfway through the session I had absolutely zero hot spots which is pretty impressive for a brand new football boot like you can see look how lovely that is so soft really really really nice uh I have thoroughly enjoyed wearing these there is a bit more volume for sure than gx1 there's

definitely a bit more um kind of material in and around your foot so if you're somebody who found that to be the case on the gx1 I would probably say either get a gx1 again or go for a different football boot go for like a Furon or something that's got a very similar kind of vibe to this with the big striking surface uh that just doesn't have any grip elements on it that being said I think for the wider foot types out there like me you guys are going to be really happy with these boots

I have thoroughly enjoyed training in these and these will probably be my daily drivers other than you know the the regular like what do you call like the uh you know gx1 hyper venom 3 like I wear Phantom ultro like I wear all those ones on a regular basis but these are definitely going to be a daily driver for me because of how comfortable and how wide they are and I would guess that these will become a game boot as well and because I play predominantly on FG surfaces this is going to be the one

I think we'll see I mean new Furon and new tea just came out so those might be really good boots as well uh but I just the grip elements on here that feels so natural the heel comfort's awesome um this one's going to be this one's going to be bomb and this one is wider than the Predator so if you're thinking to yourself like o I need a wide foot football boot uh Predator accuracy was really wide so I'm going to go with pred strike these are wider than PR strike at least they feel that

way like I get way more way more um pain on the outside of my foot or like discomfort on the outside of my foot with the pr strike than I do with these these provided a little bit of squeeze at the at the first bit of that session like the first footwork as I started to get into the dribbling took the boots off put them back on and they literally felt like they were broken in for two months that's how that's how Sensational this upper is I really do think that Nike has crushed it with

the upper sole plate debatable uh it's fine it's you know especially on AG surfaces it's it's fine I think the AG model of this boot is going just be so good cuz I love that soulle play I think it's so well balanced um it's no BS it's not super responsive or anything but it just works really well for AG pitches so but this one for FG very very cool so if you guys if there's anything from the standpoint of questions that I haven't answered in this video that you guys are interested about for the gx2
