got some interesting PlayStation news Ubisoft in 2025 the rumor round up with the biggest leaks of the week with some Xbox stuff and way way more gaming news to go over so sit back and let's go Herman the co- CEO of Sony overseeing all the PlayStation games and their other cross media Ambitions did an interview with the Japanese magazine famitsu and I wanted to share some highlights from that for one he says that he's open to Reviving classic franchises next to making brand new ones and we've kind of seen that recently with the Killzone crossover
in Hell divers 2 in October gorilla said that they had to leave Killzone behind and that we should not expect a new game from them but that doesn't mean that crossovers are off the table also esot of course paid all of respect to Classic franchises got more on that game in a moment by the way but yeah seems like games based on those older IPS are in the cards too in 20121 we actually heard about a potential Wipeout game that could be in the works for PS5 and psvr2 by an external development Studio unclear if
that's still happening but yeah that might be the path forward like we know naughty dog won't go back to Jack and Dexter Insomniac won't touch resistance again and Sucker Punch has repeatedly said that they have no plans to revisit inFAMOUS or Sly Cooper but that doesn't mean that other Studios can't I in particular still think that a new Infamous game would be really awesome and could be huge like an open world game where you play this overpowered character with awesome powers still think that redy could make a really good Infamous game or giving Socom to
a great shooter studio and make it into a life service title I think also has a ton of potential if they can really bring back that tactical gameplay if you think about it that game was really ahead of its time of course curious to hear what classic PlayStation IPS you would want to see back in the future now Uncharted is of course the biggest franchise they have that has no active project announced in the interview Herman actually notes that the first Uncharted Drake's Fortune had an insane impact on Playstation Studios it brought amazing Graphics a
great story and good game design together and it changed the direction of the game production at Sony's first party Studios and if you think about it it was really that first third person action adventure game that after that we have seen many more of now almost two years ago Sony showed a lady with a torch exploring some sort of cave in a PlayStation advertisement that only apart from that scene showed scenes from other PlayStation games we still don't know if this was a tease for a new Uncharted with Nathan's daughter but yeah they are doing
a second movie I think it's only a matter of time before we see a new game we do at least know though that it won't be made by Naughty dock Herman also said that astrobot sold 1.5 million units in 9 weeks but more interesting is that 37% of the astrobot buyers have either never bought a PlayStation first party game or it was their first one in 2 years so basically having a more familyfriendly platformer like this is expounding Their audience and that's important to them also the fact that asot one game of the year has
boosted the sales a bit recently so yeah we should expect more familyfriendly games Lego Horizon was of course another one of those next to Blockbuster titles like ghost of yote they are taking learnings from Hell divers 2 and how they're doing content updates to make successful life service games moving forward he kind of dodges questions regarding Concord and mobile games is something we will see in the future that will maximize Synergy with console we know a horizon game is in development for mobile at noft so I'm curious how they will like synergize that with console
I will of course keep you posted on the future of PlayStation right here so according to Industry analysts Ubisoft at the end of 2025 will look a lot different from now and this from a games industry. bis article so every year they go to an analyst at a big company they constantly look at the industry and make predictions Based on data and yeah Ubisoft only launched major flops in 2024 only Rainbow Six Siege is doing well for them but that's obviously not enough to keep them afloat so a lot is riding on Assassin Creed Shadows
to be a breakout hit but of course the road to launch has been pretty Rocky so far like I totally think it will of course be profitable in the end but it needs to be way more than that and the busy February launch window with a ton of other great and like similar ilar open world type games is not helping either like giving the devs more time with delay will be helping for sure this needs to have an amazing Word of Mouth like it has to come out it has to surprise people be even better
than people are expecting and then hopefully the word of mouth will have people that are kind of in doubted right now still bite the bullet and and check it out in my view ASAS Shadow will get solid reviews and sell okay but not enough to make Ubisoft continue business as usual ual as one of the analysts I by the way went more in depth on this topic going over what happened in 2024 to get to this point for Ubisoft if assass Creed Shadows is going to be what they want it to be and what happens
if it's not you can check that video out on my React channel I will leave a link to it in the video description so check it out if you haven't already a like on this video would of course really help me out because every Sunday we post a big gaming news round up like this so subscribe to not miss it and would be awesome if you subscribe were're close to the 1 million so would really help thanks for that okay time for quick shots new stories I will go over quickly remember ever wild the new
IP from rare set in a magical world with a beautiful Arch style well it was announced in 2019 we saw this trailer in 2020 but haven't heard anything since well now on social media rare wishes everyone happy holidays with a new artwork from the game basically confirming that hey yes it's still in development and likely that we will see something in 2025 earlier this year we also heard rumors that it was still coming and that it would be an online multiplayer game so probably similar to seal theves rares other game it kind of makes sense
but I was hoping that this would be a single player open world game like let me know if this looks appealing to you and it got more Xbox leaks in a moment seems like dead space is dead they wanted to do a Dead Space 2 remake but because the remake of the first game did not sell as well as EA had hoped they canceled it and we now learned that Glenn scoffield the creator of dead space and other original Dead Space makers approached EA to make a new game in the series but he a turned
down the proposal now worth noting that Glenn was most recently like in charge of the Kalisto protocol which of course did not turn out amazing so maybe it has to do with that but it seems that mostly EA just doesn't see Dead Space 4 as a wise investment Never Say Never at least the original creators that were interviewed by Dan Ellen would love to make a fourth game seems like a new near title could be announced in 2025 which actually the year the series turns 15 what should we do maybe something with the next game
or developments related to that now let's hope it's not a mobile title and an actual console PC release we of course this year saw the Stellar blade near collap and Square Enix could use a new game in the series for sure because it has been pretty successful maybe it's related to the switch 2 that we will of course see announced in 2025 with a ton of like games for the launch window let me know if you want a new near game in the comments down below it's time for the rumor Roundup with the biggest leaks
of the week I will give stars with three being very likely that it will happen and one being I don't think we should expect this so there are some reasons to believe that Metal Gear Solid Delta the remake of the third game of course is coming in February as NGK 22 notes on Reddit there was namely this one store advertising it for February and there were for some other like reasons to believe it as well like the game was first of course announced for 2024 so a launch in early 2025 does make sense but they
must be smart enough to avoid February right March onwards is still quieter like I'm giving this two stars as it makes sense but the source is kind of shaky I will keep you posted but yeah once again a reminder that 2025 will be insane and I did a big video on everything we can expect totally check that out if you haven't already VI the link in the video descript description so we got Movie Insider Daniel Richman saying that we will get more Indiana Jones video games and also Jess Gordon who we know has sources inside
Microsoft is responding with a gift saying it's true and he also later confirmed that he heard Disney picking up the phone wanting more Indiana Jones right now Indiana Jones is the number 14th most played game on Xbox which actually pretty good almost a month after launch and the other titles are of course big life service game games we also learned that Indiana Jones and the great circle was the second bestselling video game for the week ending December 14th in US dollar sales trailing only Call of Duty Black Ops 6 for a title that's on Game
Pass that is actually pretty great so seems like it's performing well it of course has an 86 on Metacritic but still do we want machine games to work on another game in the series or like a new woen Stein instead or something else I still need to get around to playing Indiana Jones so don't really know the ends right now though I think it might be a bit of an Overkill but of course your thoughts are more than welcome in the comments giving it two stars for now not because I don't believe the people that
are reporting it just more than I'm not sure if it will actually happen I totally believe that Disney wants it to help grow their big property but does Microsoft wants to lose machine games for another four years to this franchise and it's probably smart to at least wait till the PS5 launch in spring so around April to see how that does before making big plans more Xbox League we now also have Jess Gordon saying that he heard from multiple sources that if an Xbox game is skipping PlayStation at launch it's because they either don't have
the time or resources to make it happen so it will basically be the exception if a game is not coming to PS5 instead of the other way around which is kind of crazy but from what we've been seeing this has been the writing on the wall three stars for this I totally think it's true and that 2025 we'll see a ton of Xbox games come to PlayStation also state of the gate 3 was seemingly first planned for 2025 but slipped to 2026 also three stars for that I totally believe it and I think it's smart
to have that game in 2026 instead like I really think that both Sony and Microsoft don't need more games in 2025 they already have a great lineup and the third parties will be easily filling out the year so give your other teams more time and launch their games in 2026 seems to be smarter especially if GTA 6 hits 2025 and yeah this coming week we are entering that exciting 20 2 I hope you have an amazing New Year's Eve and overall start of the year as always I will be live with my Monday weekly gaming
News Talk Show on the daptor React channel where I will share some fun 2025 predictions as well link to that will be in the video description for the main Channel I got another assass Creed Shadow video plans and also another big look at 2025 and of course a news round up like this at the end of the week just subscribe to not miss anything a like would really help me out and check out the 2025 games preview video by clicking on the screen I'll speak to you soon goodbye
