This week on Straight to the Point, a longtime Trump loyalist, Michael Caputo shares neverbeforeseen FBI subpoena and warrant targeting him under the Biden administration. FBI Director Cash Patel, recently confirmed that his records, those of Susie Wilds, now the White House chief of staff, were also secretly collected by the Biden era FBI as part of an investigation into President Trump. Other Trump loyalists were targeted and Caputo says the surveillance continues to this day and he brings the receipts.
So, let's get straight to the point. Michael, this is the first time that you're sharing this FBI subpoena, a federal warrant for your communications. Why are you coming forward?
Well, I was really moved by the news that Susie Wilds and Cash Patel and Dan Scavino were surveiled in the same way. It tells me that if very senior people like Susie and very junior people in the campaign like Michael Caputo were both surveiled, then there are dozens in between. And I think what I really want to see come out of this as a full investigation to find the criminals that spied on us in the campaign in 24.
Were you targeted by the FBI under the Biden administration? I was uh in fact the federal criminal investigation was opened by the FBI in the first quarter of 21. So the entire Biden uh presidency I was a target of FBI investigation.
Why were you targeted by the FBI under the Biden administration? I believe I was targeted because I was the the the the person in the policy department in 2023 uh during uh the the Trump re-election in for 2024 that was responsible for anti-weaponization policy development. I made a film uh for OA on Ukraine in 2020.
I wrote a book on the same topic. It was called the Ukraine hoax. And on the cover and featured throughout the film were were Joe and Hunter Biden and what Hunter was doing in Ukraine to clean up money to share with his family.
That made some people angry and they came after me to try to prove that it was funded by Russians. You're describing a politically motivated investigation under the Biden administration. How is that investigation able to continue for months under Attorney General Pam Bondi?
I think it's bigger than any of us ever realized. It's bigger than any of us imagined. I had access to decision makers to go ahead and get this closed.
But the weaponized government is continuing, not just with Michael Caputo. I promise you, if we investigate what they did during the 2024 election, we can hold somebody accountable for spying on the Trump campaign. Do you believe that your investigation those files were kept secret?
Maybe a prohibited access file? I believe so. I had a whistleblower tell me it was.
It explained some of the inaction on it. I wasn't able to get it addressed unless I went directly to the president and I know that people wanted to address it. To me, it sounds like they couldn't find it or they were intimidated.
Let's go back to March of 2025. You're working at the Justice Department under the Trump administration and you get a Google alert hits your inbox. What does it say?
It said it's a Google user alert that said that the FBI had a a classified subpoena for my emails and other communications, search records, etc. uh for 18 months and it had just just expired. And Google thankfully uh has a policy to notify you when it's expired.
When you read this Google alert, what went through your head? Well, I was confused because I had no idea that I was being surveiled all those years. I had never received anything like this.
I I think I approached it as any other American would really shock. I didn't really understand what it was. But the fact that I was sitting in the office that opened that investigation, I had access to find out what was going on with me.
The average American can't and I think there's probably thousands of Michael Caputo out there after the Biden administration. You took these records, the FBI subpoena, this federal warrant to your lawyer. What did he say?
He basically told me that it appears because it's pretty well redacted that I that it started in the office I was sitting in. In fact, he said it very likely originated in the very suite where I was sitting at the Justice Department. At the Justice Department and at that time you're working for the Trump administration.
You what's really odd is that I was getting some looks I can tell you in the elevators at DOJ there. I'm surrounded by career lawyers in the US attorney's office for DC. And basically the people who opened the investigation into me and my family and my friends at the behest of the Biden political department, they were all around me and somehow or another I was supposed to work there.
Did you talk to your boss at the Justice Department at that time, Ed Martin? Yes. It it was a very difficult thing to talk about because Ed, who is my friend, a very dear friend, felt responsible that he could do something to close it, but I told that he he couldn't touch it because he's my friend and they would weaponize against him if he closed it.
So, he had to sit there and watch me go through the contortions of this for months and months because I I asked him not to touch it. So, just to be clear, you're working at the Trump Justice Department, and you learn that there's an investigation at the Justice Department, same building you seems sweet, right? You know, it's funny because I was on the phone with somebody who said, uh, uh, not my attorney, another person.
He said, "What is your office? Where do you sit? " I told him, he said, "What is the office number?
" I said, "How could you figure that out? " I told him, he says, "You know, the person who started this may actually be in the office next to you. Can you imagine understanding that you're going to the office, riding in the elevator, sitting in the coffee room with the person who destroyed your family?
" Let's talk about August of 2024. You get a phone call from Susie Wilds. At that time, she is President Trump's campaign manager.
What does she tell you? Well, I've known Susie since the 80s and and we're we're pretty good friends. and she said that the FBI had come to the office and said that the campaign had been hacked by Iran and that some people had actually had their personal accounts hacked as well and that I was one of those few people.
And so Susie called me and said, "Michael, I'm I'm duty bound to tell you that the FBI wants to talk to you about this and uh you know, I'm not going to give you a recommendation either way, but I do recommend you talk to your attorney immediately. " The FBI meets you in Florida. What did the FBI agents want?
They wanted to look at my emails. They wanted to see my laptop. I had my attorney present.
And I sat with them for two and a half hours while they scrolled through my emails, check settings, and I'm watching them. And a couple of times he put his hand I said, "Put your hands on top of the table. If you're going to have my laptop, you need your hands on top of the table.
" It was a very stressful two and a half hours. What you know now is that there was an FBI subpoena for your email. So why is the FBI coming to review these records when they already have access?
Yeah. the the FBI subpoena that my Google alert uh in Ed's office had revealed had started almost a year prior that it had been in existence for 11 months. The FBI was in my Gmail for 11 months.
I don't know why they had to physically come to interrogate me in the middle of the Everglades so they could physically touch my laptop. Everybody involved in technology tells me that's not necessary. They were up to something and I don't know what it was.
Do you believe the FBI was laying a trap for you? I do. a potential violation of 18 USC 100001 which is lying to federal agents.
Yes, I do. They've done that to me several times. I think every time the FBI has spoken to me, they've been trying to set me up because they're not after me really.
They're after Donald Trump. We have the FBI subpoena and then we also have a federal warrant. The federal warrant is in November of 2024.
Yeah. Is that timing significant? Yeah, it is.
I mean, we had just won the election. I mean, they have a warrant for all my records, not just Google. It's my bank, it's my phone, it's they're all over my my stuff.
And by the way, all my friends. So, the fact is, and after the election in 2024, and it was specific to Russia, they were still talking about Russia gate. It's it's almost a comedy if they hadn't ruined my life.
Well, they're asking for a much broader scope of information here. They're looking for records about your state of mind, even as one example. And it's very specific.
Uh it says it relates to what's called FHA, which is the Foreign Agents Registration Act that requires Americans to register if they're lobbying on behalf of a foreign government. Uh and then it says uh very specifically information that relates to communications with the government of the Russian Federation to include officials and agents, agencies, organizations, or businesses. Yeah.
Have you ever acted on behalf of the Russian government or Russian interests? No, I haven't. In fact, quite the opposite.
If I were to do something like that, I would register with Farah. You know, I work with a law firm now that represents clients in Russia. They're completely registered.
Right? If I were to work with any of these clients, I would be proper. Listen, the Farah law is pretty clear.
What's not clear is how they enforce it, you know, because they enforce it against Republicans, but not Democrats. The special counsel never brought any charges against you in the Russia collusion investigation. Why is it that almost a decade later, it's Russia, Russia, Russia all over again?
They're stupid. I can't imagine anything else. I I think that the FBI should be uh shattered and scattered to the winds.
I don't think you can fix it. I think that the problem here is it goes all the way down. This consensus that Donald Trump is a Russian asset goes all the way down to the granular level of the FBI.
How do you clean that out? The fact is in 20 right after the election in 2024, they came after me with a warrant because of Russia. I mean, by then we knew that it was all garbage.
You're saying it's a culture problem at the FBI. It's a consensus problem. You know, I believe that they think that this is true.
They think that Donald Trump is a Russian asset because they've been brainwashed into it by the people who created this whole hoax and the and the Obama White House and they can't get past it. Katherine, I think it's a problem with the IQ level over there cuz the the stupidest guy in the FBI has to understand this is a problem for them. What have FBI whistleblowers told you about your file?
You know, when I uh I they call me a lot, contacted me via uh via email. I'm not quite sure if they're real or not. Sometimes they send me, you know, proof, but they've told me that um there are photos of me praying in in my file and that I'm referred to as a radical traditionalist Catholic.
RTC is the acronym in my file and many others. Somehow or another, multiple pictures of me praying are in my file. And I know it's because I'm a Catholic.
Has FBI Director Cash Patel, Attorney General Pam Bondi allowed you to see your FBI file? No. Why not?
I don't know. Have you asked to see the file? I have.
Um um uh Judicial Watch has has been put in some really substantial foras. I have now sued for this information as well. I had to go to the highest authority in the country to get it closed in December.
I mean, we knew it was open for for 10 months. And when you say the highest authority, are you talking about the president of the United States? Well, I I prayed for it a lot, but I did go to the president, the second highest authority in in mid December, and I said, "Mr President," I was in the Oval Office.
It was late in the day. He had had a very long day. And I said, "Mr President, this investigation is still open.
" And he said, "Close it immediately. " He told people, "Close it now. Close it now.
" By the end of the week, the FBI general counsel had called my attorney and said, "Everything's closed. " And on January 6 of this year, uh, just a couple of months ago, my congressman got a letter saying it's closed. Some people would listen to this and say it's not right for a president to interfere in individual cases, right?
Yeah, I guess. So, you know, the fact is the president has 300 or 3,000 Michael Caputo that deserve mercy. You know, this is a very merciful president.
I think he's right. Right now, he's he's searching for a way to help all of us. very few if any of them have access to the president.
I was his driver in 1988. That's the only reason that I got a moment to ask him to do this. What have these Russia investigations cost you and your family?
Well, my legal fees are over a half a million. Uh I'm a guy who, you know, grew up in in a trailer park. Um so it's a lot.
We lost everything there. We lost our children's uh uh college funds and we lost our house. We had to move.
Um, not just because of the financial impact, but because of the violence that was threatened and the people who would were sitting outside my house while I was recovering from cancer throwing pebbles at my window to keep me up at night. It isn't just financial costs. It's the the the death threats and and the, you know, the strange weird surveillance by citizens as they're following you.
You see it now uh nowadays when they're running around filing the the immigration officials. It's the same thing. I I can tell you beyond the financial costs, you know, uh the immediate financial costs, the the opportunity costs, I lost the most uh profitable years of my career, you know, 55 to 61, 52 to 61.
And we'll never recover. We'll never recover. But I I keep hearing from people, especially since I know Ed Martin and he hears from these people seeking pardons who are still being prosecuted today.
Let's talk about some of the threats. I have them from from Twitter and or what is now called X. Uh this one says, "I'm going to bring my family to dance on his effing grave at least once a month.
" Uh this one says, "I read Michael Caputo was dead and got kind of excited. I want to hear a little bit more about your family, what you're comfortable in sharing. " I can't share everything.
Um, my I mean there are videos of my children being screamed at from the street by Antifa. I put up cameras around my house because I was in Washington working on the COVID response with the president and I would watch them as my children were trapped in the house. They came outside.
My one daughter walked out to to to do some jump rope and and ran away scared out of her mind. And I'm seeing this live on video in my desk in Washington DC. my wife, who comes from Ukraine, by the way, and I said, "Well, I'm going to work on the president's campaign in 2015.
I've known him for years. " And she said, "Don't do it. " I said, "Why?
" She said, "Because it's going to turn into something terrible. " I said, "Honey, this isn't Ukraine. This isn't Russia.
There is no violence. " Well, it turns out this is Russia. I I I want to say my wife has been a rock.
Um, she comes from a society, Ukraine, where there are different challenges than we have. my children, especially my oldest daughter, Marbella. She's a beautiful, wonderful person.
Uh she went through the most because she was a teenager at the time, but she's happy now. She's a baker in the countryside. As a father receiving these threats, and there's some court records about harassment as well.
Um, seeing the video of your daughter, I can see a a lot of emotion and a lot of sadness in your eyes. Well, I'm a girl dad, you know, and I think most girl dads know that if somebody steps up to you, you usually get in trouble because you punch them out. But when the FBI comes up to you and Antifa comes up to you and your teenage daughter's teachers and and friends come up to her, you're so completely overrun with attacks on your daughters and on your wife that you become helpless.
And there's nothing worse for a father and a husband than to be to to feel completely helpless to defend your your family. Have FBI Director Cash Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi failed to get accountability for Russia Gate? I thought about that a lot.
Uh first of all, I think it's important to note that I trust the president implicitly on everything he does. I have for almost 35 years I've known him. Cash Patel, I don't know.
Um, uh, Pam Bondi, I don't know. Uh, but I I also don't think this is easy. I think it's very, uh, timeconsuming.
I have hope that there will be some kind of accountability. But I had a friend of mine tell me last night, accountability isn't enough. My family, extended family, expects nothing.
I believe the president. I trust Donald Trump. He's never ever shown me across decades that I can't trust him.
So, I have to just trust him. It looks like former FBI director James Comey is going to escape prosecution. And you think what?
Oh, I think that uh that he should be prosecuted. I don't think that the there are people probably career people within the DOJ have no interest in this. There are people, I think, who were even more guilty uh than Comey from the first the start of the Obama uh effort to falsify intelligence on on the Russians.
And who falls into that bucket? Brennan, of course, that's the former CIA director. John Brennan.
To me, he's the definition of government gone wrong. Uh to me, he's also the definition, like Comey, of a demon prowling around the world seeking the renown of souls. Brennan is a bad man.
And and I think that there are my understanding is there's not just one way to go for him. Uh that he that there are many ways he left himself vulnerable. If we don't pursue them all the way down to the minutia, then we have no hope for our republic.
If the Democrats win the midterms and then the presidential election in 2018, what do you expect? I expect weaponization of government to increase 10fold. It hasn't stopped yet.
It's just been hidden. I think it'll be out in the open. We hear it from every single one of these operatives that they're going to do it.
It will be begin immediately. Go after they will go after the people involved in the in the remigration effort and then they will start digging into every other person. Anybody that's represented a foreign government properly registered in Pharaoh.
They will look for any way to nail any person adjacent to Trump. We know that because they did that in the first administration. So, it's coming.
Anybody who thinks it it isn't coming is living in a fantasy world. What do you want people to take away from the conversation? It takes a lot to do this.
You know, my when I first got cancer and everything fell apart and because of the Democrats and the FBI's pursuit of the president, my priest told me, uh, you know, I'm going through cancer treatments, he said, "Be small. Seek humility. " And what my priest was telling me was, "Shut up.
" Right? And so, I've been shut up for a while. Most of many of those years I couldn't work because I I'm sorry I couldn't interview because I couldn't speak.
The cancer took away my voice for a time. But now that I know uh that there was spying on the campaign in 2024, several of my friends told me that I owe it to the country to come forward because yes, Susie was spied on, Dan Scavenino was spied on, Cash Patel was spied on as an adviser to the campaign, but the idea that they went junior to Michael Caputo, there's a lot of people between me and Susie Wilds. I did this because I know we were spied upon, the American people need to know.
and uh my wife and my children agree. So I'm here at the approval of my wife and daughters. What needs to happen next?
You know, I think the first thing that has to happen is we have to have a task force that looks at all these people who were, you know, going to jail shortly, whose wives are in halfway houses now because they they got out of prison. These are families who are suffering. My family suffered a lot.
These families are bleeding today. So, we need an absolute task force to go out and find all these people who the the weaponized government went after. By the way, it's not just DOJ.
It's the Federal Reserve. What you're saying is that there's a large universe of people who you believe are still being persecuted. Truly, this government weaponization.
And that and that even under this president who promised to end weaponization, it continues. It does. It does.
And and I don't blame the president. I don't think any of us knew how big this was. Again, I I really don't see any difference between Russia and the United States.
Now, I've lived in both places. The difference between Russia and the United States is there is no pretending in Russia. In America, we pretend that we're some kind of democracy.
Critics will listen to this interview and say Michael Caputo is dramatic. He's seeing conspiracies when there were legitimate investigations. He is obsessed with this idea of weaponization when it's really just the government doing its job.
I would say those people are mentally ill and I think they've been convinced by a toxic uh narrative that has developed a consensus among their them and their colleagues started by Hillary Clinton, built by by Barack Obama and we're seeing it all today. The the the records that are being resol released by the Trump administration point more and more and more to the fact that I'm correct. If the if there's an American out there that doesn't believe that the the government is weaponized, that's because they've become absolutely captive to a to a consensus developed by toxic Democrats.
Why independent journalism? It's I think independent journalism leads the way. Now, as a person with a journalism degree who've been working as, you know, kind of adjacent to journalism as a press secretary for 40 years, it's flipped.
uh independent journalists are more powerful than established journalists. I I think they're more reliable. You especially and you know if I give these kinds of documents to say CNN, you'll never see the light of day.
In this regard, it's not just who you talk to and how big their audience is. And yours is big. It's also where you send that story.
Your show has proven to be very widely distributed. your audience is much larger than your typical TV person. I think that goes for independent journalism in in general.
It's changed now. Michael Caputo's case and the records are part of a growing body of evidence that beginning in 2016 and 2017 with the Russia collusion and investigations, there was ongoing targeting and surveillance of President Trump and members of his team. Some people call it a larger conspiracy.
We ask the Justice Department, the FBI, and the White House for comment, and we'll bring you those updates as we get them. This is the kind of reporting you can expect on Straight to the Point. I'll see you next time.
Heat. Heat.
