you left your daughter have not come back she's paying things out of pocket your daughter has health issues and you're not giving her any type of financial assistance she should be upset I don't understand your attitude okay so this woman is taking her own twin sister to court because right after giving birth to her daughter she decided to completely abandon her and leave the baby at her sister's doorstep make sure to brace yourself because this case is about to make you question the society we live in today this is my twin sister she dropped off
her child to me about like six months ago dropped her off saying that she was going to come back run to the store and literally never came back um I've been taking care of her I myself has two other kids as well um the the little girl her name is uh Karina okay but uh Karina so she how old is Karina she's four years old okay yeah um she's been getting sick a lot and I've been taking her to a doctor bit out of my pocket it's been it's been hard to take care of all
that um and from what I hear my sister over here has been up in the club twerking not taking care of her responsibilities and not doing what she needs to do why why is it funny when when she finishes then I will come to you but there will be no laughing in here especially about what don't be sorry just don't do it especially about what she just said allegedly that you're doing you may continue um but that's basically it I'm here I'm here to uh request child support from her uh that that is my niece
and I do want her to you know be okay but I can't take care of her by myself okay all right so you what's your name I'm Christina Stone okay all right Christina what do you have to say about what your sister said well basically I just feel like we shouldn't even be here we're sisters this is a family matter I don't even know why she even brought me here um I have tried to contact her and for some reason I have not been able to get a hold of her wait a minute wait a
minute hold on one second you seem to be upset yes I am very upset because she's over here she should be upset if what she says it's true that you left Karina with her after going to the store is that true and she hasn't even called me at all that's a try get a hold of her one second it's a yes or no is that true did you leave Karina okay she should be the one upset you left your daughter have not come back she's paying things out of pocket your daughter has health issues and
you're not giving her any type of financial assistance she should be upset I don't understand your attitude it's crazy how this mother is playing the victim when she's the one who abandoned her child she completely walked away expecting her sister to take over the lack of accountability is beyond disgraceful however this case is just getting started there's more to unpack and it only gets worse from here I understand but we are blood We are family I am going through a lot myself what are you going through well my baby father in jail so it's hard
for me to really where he in jail for um he got involved in some he got involved in some drugs and he's a dead he ain't taking care of nobody oh okay so basically yeah he got involved with some drugs he ended up in the penitentiary and how long has he been in there he's been in there for about two to three years two and a half something like that so he doesn't really know Karina then no okay unfortunately all right okay and I see that Dad was served by way of you through the penit
excuse me the penitentiary system so he was ordered you know to not necessarily be here because he can't be here but he is aware that this hearing is taking place today yes ma'am okay so yeah I understand that it's a family matter but at the end of the day she's still doing something she is not obligated to do and you do need to pay her child support you and Dad both but it wouldn't be right to put dad on child support today considering he's not here um and he's in a Penitentiary do you know how
long he will be in there uh he has about four more years left okay so in four years you guys can come back to court and then we can modify it but as far as today you are going to start paying her some child support but what if I just get the custody back you ain't even taking care of her what do you mean I can take care of my own child no I've been seen you out on Snapchat you two you two will just address me okay you never had custody from the sounds of
it if you dropped your daughter off and never went back she has been in rightful custody of your daughter not you so I can't make her overturn that situation I mean she's been doing it that's what's right and what's right is that you should pay child support you'd agree with me right well I mean I would eventually like to get my child back well that's fine eventually but today that's not what's going to happen Okay how much money do you make I make about 30 grand a year 30 grand a year okay what do you
do I work for a retail store you get commission no I not okay is that the truth cuz you kind of hesitated I mean I have other endeavors and stuff like you know side businesses okay but nothing that just generates a whole lot of money no okay so this is what I'm going to do do you have any other children I do not okay so your child support obligation will start today and health insurance do you know how much it would cost to add the child only so I had called around and they were quoting
me about $500 for that child only okay if that child is you said you have two other children M so it's two other children it'll be you and then Karina yes so it be four people how much would it be total for your insurance so for all of us uh I think they said like, 1300 1300 oh health insurance is so expensive so what I can do is divided by four so individually each person would be $325 so that will be the coverage that you will reimburse to your sister okay in addition to child support
so you said you have one child I have your gross at $2500 monthly which brings your net to $2,146 192 and you have one child it brings your child support obligation to $429 plus the health insurance at 325 your monthly obligation is $754 a month you can roll your eyes all you want to I'm really not bothered by that right is right and wrong is wrong and based on what your sister said and based on your own admission you're in the wrong and it's only right that you pay her child support as well as health
insurance so your daughter can get her health issues taken care of now that's what you call a true reality check she thought she could abandon her child without consequences but now she's stuck paying $700 a month in child support if you thought this case was absurd just wait for the next one where a self-centered mother demands child support despite the father having full custody of the kids let's dive into this case and uncover what really went down an objection was filed uh by Mr Patterson uh I would know Miss smolders is here miss smolders who
do you represent I represent Brandon Patterson all very well um and both parties are present and Miss Heaven Miss Heaven do you have an update or a result of the recommendation or currently um Mr Patterson is paying $12 a month for medical support um the recommendation would have um Mr Patterson paying $199 child support ordinary medical $13 for a total of $212 a month all right and miss smolders your client objected to that recommendation correct I believe it was just because that the um number of overnights were inaccurate is that correct Brandon I know I
had sent out an email and I hadn't received a response um I wanted you to double check the the overnights um I did not get that email um but I objected because I didn't understand why I have primary custody and he lives with me fulltime why I'm the one paying $200 and some dollars a month in child's sport well my understanding was there was a hundred overnights if that was correct onund 121 as of April 19th 23 that's the day that let go him go back with you and we agreed to know child's support and
for Devon to be able to come here he's been here twice one of the two times I sent him home with $100 I have multiple messages I can show you I just talked to my Mother's Day offering anything you wants uh second time he came up here to launch you had you were blowing his phone up saying he was going 72 by his Tracker app and he's trying to explain he was on the highway so then we wrapped up lunch and he said I gotta go I had invited him to do something with us one
time where we'd stay at the hotel overnight and have fun and he was like I don't know if he would let me um his sister Emily my daughter has asked him brother I want to see you and he said I don't know I got to ask our agreement in me letting him go back with you is that deavon is allowed I am his mother okay he loves me I love him I respect your relationship with him and I don't BT in with that as long as you treat him right we're both grown I mean deon's
not a toy and that's a little twisted her story but that's okay you whatever all right well hold on both you hold on here ma'am sorry go ahead all right Miss Evan how many overnights did you using the calculation um Mr Patterson didn't include any overnights in his questionnaire so I went to the order that ordered FR of the court to review and I used 100 because it said parenting time shall be as the parties agree but in the event they do not the defendant shall have PA any time according to the noo County reasonable
parenting time policy as it relates to non-custodial parents all right so uh there are 365 overnights in a year as we all know sometimes 366 uh so 100 was used that's well less than half sir are you indicating now that you have more than 100 overnights per year with the child in question uh no I've never said that I have not said that he can't stay there no no no no that's not that's not my question my question was do you have more than 100 you said you had the child the majority of the time
when you first spoke so that would be at least 182 or more to have the child the majority of the time so what is your assessment of the number of overnights that you have if in fact you have more than a 100 or you have primary physical custody uh I do have primary physical custody and I have had him since the since April 19th I allowed him to exclusively hold on ma'am I'll get to you in a minute sorry sorry sir you've had him exclusively since that time he's stayed with you every night or what
yes Carolyn has had no overnights yet but I have not said that he cannot stay there if he does not choose wish if he just he can stay there if he wants to but I I'm I haven't made him go there all right so uh when you filled out the paperwork for the review why didn't you put in there that you have all the overnights or or a majority of the overnights I did I I fill it out just a minute ma'am I'm gonna ask you the same questions in a minute just hold tight we
gotta process here I gotta I gotta get through this my way Miss EV how many overnight you used 100 overnights and Mr Patterson said he filled in the overnights but in fact he did not he did have missed something in that section he puts a child's name that he claims him on taxes the annual number of overnights was blank he indicates child lives with Dad but that doesn't tell me overnights and the order indicates that they have joint legal custody and physical custody so I but the default is if they don't agree that he would
see Dad 100 overnights or 102 because that would be reasonable parenting time all right correct oh so the child has been living with the father this whole time yet the mother still insists on digging into his pockets for money the entitlement is unreal it's honestly shameful that situations like this are even entertained in court allowing some people to take advantage of the system but just wait until you hear the judge's verdict because this mother is finally about to face the consequences but sir you've had him exclusively since April so that's what a month a month
or so well how often have you had him over the last year uh she had full physical custody and custodial for the last year all right but you've had the last month I've I just started back with them on April April 19th all right so and how old is he 17 17 so you're pretty much letting him stay or go as he pleases is that fair assessment yeah if he he want every time he's wanted to go up there and visit he's gone up and visited and he has not asked me to stay the night
up there all right he sleeps at your house yes all right his license is also on our house as well yeah well it's got to be one of the other um so uh ma'am what's your assessment on the number of overnights that the child has spent with Mr Patterson in the last let's start with the month um he has stayed with him the last month okay how about the last year then how about the last year I think our miscommunication between Mr P and I is that we had already been through attorney been through the
court basically agreed to have custody de can come here go there you know let's let's where we finally to that point where and there shouldn't have been any disagreement we both got this I read the child support paper that it was coming after me and and we had already had a court hearing custy and all that everything's good and great we agree and we just had to basically me pay the medical like he had been doing cu he paid me no child support the year Devon was here so I think we're both a little thrown
off by this and I I agree to those terms that we had previously agreed to before this meeting all right I think where it tipped was is that Miss Heaven didn't have any overnights to go on and Order says if you agree fine um but if you don't agree then it's according to the reasonable parenting time policy which it says defendant would have reasonable parenting time policy which is 100 or 102 depending on how you count them and that's what she used that was all she had to go on because she had nothing else okay
I never asked for child support I just didn't understand why I was supposed to pay for $200 of it that's all I didn't understand well because that order that order that uh that order that changed the parenting time that was done just in February said the matter should be referred to the Friend of the Court to review so that's why that's what triggered it yeah that's what the judge had said and it was it was just the medical because I had asked her I said he didn't pay me any child support for last year and
he verbally and I have it on a piece of paper signed by him somewhere that if I allow him to go back no child support and I'll pay the medical just like he did your honor child support reviewed it shouldn't have been in there I guess but all right Miss molders what I was gonna say if if if it's allowed I don't know about State assistance and some other requirements what from what I'm hearing is both parties are agreeable to zero support at this time I don't know if if a recalculation is technically necessary or
if they can stip stipulate on on the record to that miss is there there is Medicaid okay with with stepmom and food with uh mom food is I think she should have been off there when he moved out I reported it so and it's in that six it's probably just got a and it's nothing outrageous I work my husband works it was really just that covid school money and I got that straightened out and then I get we get a little bit but his nothing major um it should be coming off there excuse me just
so sir you're telling the court that you're doing all this child needs for support and yet you're depending on the government and taxpayers to pay your child's insurance is that right and food's not assignable so but the Medicaid is yeah and I have no problem doing that and Deon knows that if he needs anything I'm here for him so the the recommendation though is for the party who has the child on Medicaid to be the payer so it wouldn't go to the state anyway if that was the case correct there would have to be yeah
you're you're right I'm willing to pay for the Medicaid it's not we would have to get a um a trio set up with the HHS because it's a stepmom that's the guarantee but yeah all right uh I guess I'm gonna I'm GNA deviate and just uh set support for both parties at zero at this time um child's 17 anyway so he'll emancipate here soon is he a senior or a junior in school right now junior junior so I guess support could go for another year if he's doing all right in school but and I'm um
it's not like I'm not GNA buy school clothes and all that goodies oh I get that I as him sir sir is it your intent to keep him on Medicaid at this point uh just we're just going to leave it how it was but I mean we buy them everything schol wi as he needed and we actually didn't get a lot a lot of stuff back when you moved back but here nor there Medicaid doesn't pay for school stuff I asked about Medicaid is your int to keep them on Medicaid do either of you have
health insurance available at work that he could be placed on yes Medicaid right now why I know that ma'am you do yes I do if if necessary but with Medicaid I do it with my daughter I pay them $30 a month it's cheaper that way I decline insurance at work because you can pick a plan through Medicaid instead of $30 a week out of my check for some outrageous insurance plan with copays in that you can pick these plans through the michigan.gov and I pay $30 for Emily a month for my daughter so I'm sure
that something if needed like that for Devon I could work out with a DHS work whatever medical needs all Brandon has to do is communicate with me yeah so if it's available through your employer for a reasonable cost which is defined by law as 6% of your gross income or less you're supposed to do it that way okay well I can talk to myr lady and if that's what I have to do for him it's it's what I have to do all right I'll set it zero at this point why don't you do that why
don't you see if you can get the child on your uh on health insurance through work okay if it's available for 6% or less then you should do that if not and the child remains on Medicaid then uh if it comes back to my attention I may have you pay the ordinary medical at that point okay imagine believing you're entitled to child support for kids you don't even have full custody of this mother is a perfect example of what happens when delusion collides with reality let me know what you think about this case in the
