Hey creators, for this month's roundup, we're recapping all of the exciting updates just announced at MadeOn YouTube 2026. This year, we're showcasing innovation for the YouTube era, bringing you amazing new updates designed to elevate your content, expand your audience, and build a sustainable business. Let's dive in.
First, let's talk about discovery and how we're making it easier than ever for viewers to find and enjoy your content. We're rolling out custom feeds, a new feature that lets viewers create saved tabs on their homepage dedicated to their specific interests, moods, or favorite topics, giving them more control over what they see. Custom feeds will start rolling out on mobile and desktop later this year.
We're launching short series, which lets creators organize shorts into shows in studio and even upload custom thumbnails for the show. Viewers will see a watch series button in the feed, which lets them watch episodes in order. You'll be able to add show features to shorts starting later this month.
We're bringing post to TV, letting living room viewers see image posts directly on creator channel pages starting early next year. And to help you grow your channel and reach a new audience, we brought image posts and carousels to the shorts feed. Try it out.
Next up is Fandom updates designed to help you connect deeper with your community. We're testing Showdowns, co-streaming experiences that turn fan funding into a fun, timed, competitive game between streams, helping creators drive engagement and revenue. We'll start testing showdowns early next year.
We're also expanding watch with, moving from just live content to all eligible videos on YouTube. By bringing trending YouTube videos directly into your live streams, it gives you an effortless way to co-create real-time reaction moments with your community. To bridge language barriers, we've added autodubbing for live, which adds real-time audio translations for English to Spanish to your live streams.
This feature will be rolling out next year. We're also upgrading the comments experience. Viewers can now use GIFs and comments on mobile and respond to comments directly in their TVs using voice to text.
These features will be available by the end of 2026. Plus, we're giving you the option to turn on personalized comment moderation to help you save time moderating by holding comments similar to the ones you've removed in the past. Stay tuned for more information on availability.
For your closest supporters, you can now host exclusive members-only communities. This gives your paid members a space to interact and lets you share more exclusive content. Members only communities will be available in early 2027.
We're also rolling out hype with Jewels, allowing fans of rising creators with under 500,000 subscribers to purchase Jewels to supercharge a video's leaderboard momentum. This gives you a new revenue stream by earning rubies. Hype with Jewels is currently live in Brazil, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan.
We're introducing on-platform messaging and video sharing, which brings group chats and a 3 minute casual video creation tool directly to YouTube. These features are launching to users in the US, UK, Singapore, Brazil, and European Union in November. Next up, we're making updates that help you power your business on YouTube.
Brand deals on YouTube are stronger than ever. We've expanded YouTube creator partnerships to 20 countries. We're also continuing to test and evolve dynamic brand segments, which gives you a new, more flexible option when adding sponsorships in long- form videos.
With dynamic brand segments, you can easily update or swap the branded content at any time. You can add dynamic brand segments to new uploads or back catalog videos in batches of up to 20 at a time. Target the segments by region and drive engagement with a built-in shelf featuring a direct call to action button.
Dynamic brand segments is currently in a limited pilot in the US, Canada, and India. Next, we've launched an easier way for you to share brand partner access using a one-click code, so your brand partner can view your video's performance metrics and put paid media behind your content using creator partnerships boosts. Plus, soon you can use Ask Studio to quickly craft tailored responses to brand briefs, plus proactive pitches and get tips to customize your media kit to match a brand's unique goals so you can get the deal done faster.
In YouTube Shopping, we're expanding our affiliate program to be live in 35 markets by the end of the year. We're also rolling out affiliate campaigns, letting you get discovered by merchants and receive exclusive commission rates and bonuses when creating content featuring specific products. This feature will be available to creators in the US and Korea by the end of the month and to even more creators by early next year.
And to help you earn globally, we are automatically localizing tag products in your content for viewers outside of your country, meaning you can now earn commissions when they purchase. We are also expanding our Amazon affiliate partnership now live in the US, India, and Brazil with a few more countries coming this fall. Finally, let's look at creation and how we're bringing you cutting edge tools and deeper insights about your content.
We're making major updates to YouTube Studio. First, Ask Studio is coming to mobile, so your creative partner is with you wherever inspiration strikes. Ask Studio on mobile will be fully available in the coming months to help improve the performance of your old videos, Ask Studio can help you identify opportunities to update and test new thumbnails, helping your older content find a whole new audience.
We're launching to trusted testers later this year with a full launch next year. Studio can now help you get feedback on your video scripts, hooks, titles, and even generate tailored titles and thumbnails for you within Ask Studio and via our new drafts experience. This feature will be available later this year.
To replace guesswork with data, video AB testing lets you upload up to three cuts of a short or video to test which performs best. This feature will be available next year. We're also adding research and insights destinations inside YouTube Studio to help you more easily understand video performance and discover outlier videos, helping inspire your next piece of content.
Research and insights will be available by the end of 2026. And with dynamic thumbnails, you can upload up to three thumbnails and let YouTube automatically match the best one to different segments of your audience. Dynamic thumbnails will be rolling out to eligible creators soon.
You'll soon be able to edit shorts through a new conversational editing feature that guides you through every step. Start from suggested prompts or your own for a first draft. You can continue chatting to reorder, trim, and more with personalized suggestions to fine-tune.
You'll have the power to edit manually at any time. This feature will roll out globally on Android and iPhones starting in early 2027 on Shorts and the YouTube Create app. Finally, we're bringing likeness detection, our tool that helps you detect and manage how others are using AI to depict you to the YouTube app.
You can now onboard, get notified about potential matches, and submit removal requests, all from your phone. We're also introducing speaking voice detection, which provides an additional signal alongside facial matches to improve detection capabilities. These features will be available later this year.
