and a bunch of our students are starting to get breakthroughs in technology when they are just Junior coders and I'm like what would happen if you took the kingdom and you seated it into the Cesspool of humanity right in the gate of the Philistines and you started bringing spiritual intelligence into Google into Facebook into Twitter into Microsoft and we have people working in all those [Music] places um I'm tell you a story years ago when Bill Johnson came to our church it was a church of about 40 people a Pentecostal Church like a real Pentecostal
Church like a holy rolly holy roll or Pentecostal church and um one of the first things that bill did was he did a whole series on the gifts of the Holy Spirit and because we were a church of only 40 people he would teach in the day and then on Sunday nights we would do these activations there's only like 20 of us or 25 of us and we would kind of do some of the things we're learning now we would kind of learn how to like do words of knowledge or uh Gifts of Prophecy and
we would just practice on one another well in the meantime uh Kathy and I we owned a repair shop a service station in a repair shop and my largest customer in my in my repair shop was crer Pacific they had about I think they had around 24 26 28 trucks and every uh they would rotate the trucks out they were lease trucks and they would rotate the trucks out uh every year they would rotate one quarter of their Fleet out and we would get brand new trucks this is in the 80s and so um they
they I ended up working on these all these brand new trucks um because we lived an hour from uh the Chevy dealer so even if the truck was under warranty they would bring it in and I would fix it anyway they got these brand new Chevy trucks in and the very first week the first one broke down in the middle of the woods and they towed it to my shop and it wouldn't start and I worked on the truck for a day and then I said to them hey I I can't figure out what's wrong
with this truck it was the early days of computers uh computer controlled vehicles and I said uh why don't you just tow it to the Chevy dealer and they said we can't tellw this to the Chevy dealer we have eight more of these trucks like we can't tow them to Chevy dealer every time they break just fix it we don't care what it costs just fix it so I worked on it for 3 days and I I have a great I had a great relationship with the Chevy dealer so I called the the technician that
actually did that kind of work computer work I also did I was also trained in that and he sent me the he faxed me the wiring diagram and we talked on the phone three or four times and I could not figure out what was wrong with that truck for three days I worked on that truck exclusively for 3 days and could not get it to start so they came by again and they said hey we need this truck by you know we need this truck by Tuesday and this was like Friday so I worked on
it Saturday could not get it started could not get it to start I mean I just like I had probably spent 35 40 hours on this truck my best customer so Sunday was uh we were Bill did uh he was doing the in the in the series on the on Supernatural gifts he was doing the the gift of word of knowledge and he taught on it Sunday morning and then Sunday night with about 20 of us we were practicing on one another like does anybody here have a problem with their knee I feel like someone
it was that we were doing that thing um really you know early on and it was really powerful what was happening because just with 20 of us you really could you know in a in a crowd of a thousand you say if anybody here have a problem with their right knee probably there's going to be somebody has a problem with the right knee but in a group of 20 not so much and so I was seeing some really powerful things happening but I couldn't get my mind off of Hey Monday morning I'm going to be
back working on this truck and while everybody was practicing these words of knowledge I I had this thought I wonder if the Lord knows anything about trucks now it sounds really funny now but I mean I I in my crazy rational mind I thought well of course God knows about bodies cuz he made them but he didn't build trucks I wonder if he knows anything about trucks and I began to be a hammered that night just thinking about does the Lord know anything about how to fix a truck so that Monday I came in worked
on the truck some more couldn't fix it and I was just like all day long thinking man I need a word of knowledge for this truck so I had the guys push it out and I came back that night they pushed it back in and the at night and I came back after dinner and well no when there was nobody around cuz I I didn't really know how to do this and I went over and I'm like okay I had the truck in the in the bay and I was like okay how do you get
a word of knowledge for a truck so I laid my hands on the truck because I thought well we did that often with people and I laid my hands on the truck and I said quietly but out loud Holy Spirit show me what's wrong with this truck and immediately I had this picture in my mind and and this and this voice in my mind said there's a diode in the right front fender and the wire has broken off of it now I sat there for a minute and I'm like well that can't be true because
I've been working on this truck for 5 days and there is no diode in the right front fender I I studied the wiring diagrams and and then then another voice said well then you know that you wouldn't have thought of that cuz you don't even believe there's a diode in the right front fender so how would You' have ever come to that in your imagination and I saw it in my mind I'm like all right well look could I have to lose so I took the truck up in the air and I look under the
fender the right front fender and it's all undercoated with black that black tar undercoating and I look up there and Shine the Light way up in the corner of this the right front fender and there's a broken wire I saw her that wire and that truck starts right up yes I'm a freaking [Applause] genius and I begin to realize that the Lord knows stuff about everything I mean I know it sounds silly at the time but that little encounter opened a world to me that I didn't know existed and sincerely I began to know that
God knew everything about everything that he was the engineer of Engineers he was the he was the doctor of doctors and you could go on and on like God knew everything about everything and I and at the time I didn't know what to call that except for a word of knowledge but today I want to just talk about spiritual intelligence we know that there's IQ you know the in intellectual quotient we know about uh EQ if you haven't read a book on emotional intelligence I would really encourage you to read some books on emotional intelligence
really beautiful about emotional intelligence but today I want to talk about SQ spiritual intelligence and I'm going to I going to start out just let's just go to Romans chapter 12 and I'm start out in a very familiar Passage I only have 45 minutes so we're going to do this um this is about a 2hour teaching and we're going to do it in 45 minutes so this will be a little bit of a abbreviated version but Romans 12 don't be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind don't be conformed
to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind and last night I said this to you you know you can't change your life but if you change your thoughts God will change your life the question becomes what does it mean to transform your mind like and then how do you do it I want to give you seven symptoms of a transformed mind I'm going to do these quickly and by the way these aren't the only symptoms these are just the ones that I thought of while I was putting together this this message
seven symptoms that you actually have a transformed mind number one number one you live in hope you live in Hope and I'll I'll quote bill when he said any thought that's in your mind that doesn't Inspire hope is rooted in a lie how do I know if I have a trans her mind I actually live in hope that forboding spirit that says something's about to go wrong is gone out of my life and I think everything works together for good in the end so it's not good it ain't the end number two how do I
know if I TR transformed mind the impossible seems reasonable The Impossible seems reasonable and we see that all the time here right is Randy and the teams are talking about sharing cancer testimonies someone diagnosed they got a weak week to live six weeks to live they come they get healed and the person who's praying for them if the person who's praying for him has a transformed mind or the team around them have a transformed mind they don't think this might happen they think this is reasonable it's reasonable to think this cancer will dissolve because God
does the impossible number three you live in peace and you don't worry how do I know if I have a transform mind I live in peace and I don't worry and my speculations are are positive how many you know that 2 Corinthians chapter 10 says the weapons of our Warfare are not of the flesh but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses and then he names three fortresses fortresses fortresses thoughts speculations and lofty things what is the speculation it's the what if if your daughter's coming if your daughter's late coming home from school she's an
hour late and you think oh maybe she got abducted by aliens you know you're you're mind isn't renewed but if you think maybe the principals took her aside and gave her the student of the year award how many know your mind is renewed because your speculation your what if actually has something to do with a blessing instead of a curse the next one number four this is a big one for me you like yourself here we go see how quiet it got cuz people don't like themselves no you like yourself and you rejoice in your
weakness knowing that when and where you're weak he is strong how do I know if I have a renewed mind I actually like myself I spent years and years I wrote I wrote at least one book about it by the way if you go through a bad trial and you have really something really bad happened to you write a book about it because you know it won't make you any better but at least you'll have money it's a lot better be rich and miserable than poor and miserable because at least you can go shopping you
know what I'm saying but I want to point out like I I you know we just we were in staff Retreat this last week and we did the inogram inogram test I don't know and disc tests and all these tests you know I think they're fine but you you your your personhood is not listen you are you are not just your strengths I mean we are enamored by let me tell you how amazing I am but actually Paul wrote where when I'm weak I I I used to read it like this when I'm weak he
is strong but it actually says when I'm weak I am strong because God has designed me I'm not talking about Sin God has designed me so that he actually used me where I'm flawed uh let me give you an example so so that you know this is in the Bible the Apostle Paul is an expert in Jewish law trained by one of the top professors of his day but when he gets saved the Lord makes him the Apostle of the Gentiles people who he knows very little about people who are his enemies his entire life
and God goes okay you'll be the leader of the Gentiles he's fully qualified to lead the Jews but God puts him over the people he knows nothing about sometimes we are looking at our strengths and thinking our strength equals our vocation and I like to point out that often the Lord goes you're amazing at that we won't be using you there okay that messed you up I know how do you know if your mind's renewed you're quick to forgive and you give Grace to others grace and mercy to other people how do I know if
my mind's renewed I'm quick to forgive some people are holding on to bitterness and they tell you they come up and tell me stories about things that happened to them and tears running down their eyes and pain in their face and then I find out that the story is about something that happened 20 years ago I'm like dude let it go I love what Joyce Meyer said she said unforgiveness is like drinking deadly poison and thinking the other person's going to die you know unforgiveness will tether you to your past and undermine Your Divine Destiny
unforgiveness will make you sick un unforgiveness will will make you mentally ill like just let it go it's not worth it I you know I had two you know I always say I was raised raised by wolves except for my mother was a good wolf trainer she was a a wonderful woman but you know I spent my early years reacting to what I didn't want to be I didn't want to be my my stepfathers and I was becoming just like them and one day the Lord when I was 18 I got saved and the first
thing the Lord did said why don't you forgive your stepfathers and it wasn't easy but I forgave them and by the way forgiveness doesn't mean that when they come in the room I don't have ill feelings towards them how many know forgiveness is the first step towards restoration it's not the last sometimes I hear people say I forg given them 50 times today I only need to forgive once it's an act of my will it's not an act of my emotion forgiveness means I don't you don't owe me anymore now sometimes I have to walk
out the process of healing and forgiveness is the first step in the process of healing it's not the last anyway that's another sermon for another time um number six how do I know if I have a renewed mind I am confident and thankful I am confident and thankful I was uh sharing with the student students this is three years ago the year before Co I was sharing with the students about and I was you know sometimes you know how sometimes you exaggerate to make a point and I was making this point that leaders do not
have the privilege of coming before their people without confidence and I was making the statement about we have to be confident people and I was doing this whole thing on leadership and one of the young men in our uh in our uh School raised his hand and said how do I know when I'm confident and how do I know when I'm arrogant because I've spent my young life being arrogant and as he said that I was thinking I was thinking boy I don't know but as he said that the holy spirit said tell him thankfulness
tell him that gratitude will inoculate you from arrogance that you can't be thankful and arrogant at the same time and I think that it's really important that we become a confident people in God that we actually show up with confidence we're not like people who shrink back Hebrews says so I think that confidence and thankfulness needs to flow together and the last one that I'm going to share with you right now is uh how do I know if I have a renewed mind I believe in other people and I give them the benefit of the
doubt Bill Johnson is the champion of this in my mind Bill Johnson believes in everybody he you know he can see a drug addict he's like oh he's he's he he's practicing to be a pharmacist you know Larry knows because Larry was with us forever right you can't hardly convince bill that somebody did something wrong on purpose like oh they didn't do that on they did that on accident like no they did that on purpose guy's a freaking murderer look but my story my I am on this stage because a man believed in me before
I believed in myself and this is part of the renewed mind is that I actually believe in you I actually I actually believe in you and have faith in you before you even deserve it so A Renewed mind and there's there's much more to say about it but I I want to talk just a little bit like how do I actually renew my mind um Donald Miller the I think he's most famous for the book uh blue like blue like jazz he's a friend of mine love the guy and he made this statement he said
he was talking about the how your brain is wired and he said your brain is wired to use the least amount of energy to come to a conclusion the least amount of energy to come to a conclusion and I had a nervous breakdown 12 13 years ago and I was on the couch for 6 months depressed and uh very suicidal and I I went to see a counselor several times um that he was a wonderful person he didn't really help me he didn't I mean it was nice to be loved but he didn't actually know
how to fix me and so I started reading some books on uh the brain on brain science and trying to get some help and figure out what was actually going wrong with me and I read a book by Carolyn Leaf you guys know Dr Carolyn Leaf she's a wonderful person and she wrote a book at the time the book was called who shut uh who Switched Off My Brain I think it's now been changed to who switched on my brain I actually have I buy like those 20 copies at a time and I give those
out to people when they hear my testimony because that book really probably saved my life and another book called uh from Panic to power uh by Lucille uh can't think of her last name Basset Lucille Basset if you have problems with anxiety those two books saved my life but uh and and I read several other books but one of the things I learned is that thoughts travel on something called neural Pathways now this is going to be a real amateure uh you know five minutes on n on on brain you know neurology because I know
really nothing but she talked about the fact that your your that thoughts travel on something called neural highways or neural Pathways and she said you could picture neural Pathways like a chunk of cheese like thinking about a chunk of cheese and you drop a like a hot marble through it and she she made this point that the more you think of thought the wider the neural pathway becomes so if you think like something's about to go wrong it creates a thought and I like to express it like this think of your your brain as a
thick jungle and you think a thought like something's about to go wrong with me and you are hacking your way through that jungle and now you have a like a walking trail and then the next time you think something's about to go wrong let's say it's another circumstance and you're like oh that's going to go bad you you go through that trail and you make it a little bit wider and every time you have that thought you widen the pathway and every time you widen the pathway it's easier to think the thought follow me for
just a minute this is an ecosystem right remember Donald Miller said that your brain is wired to use the least amount of energy to come to a conclusion so you think of a bad thought and you you create a trail and pretty soon that trail becomes a path and that path becomes a road and that road becomes a a a highway and the highway becomes a freeway and here's the deal every time I think the thought I am widening the highway and every time I widen the highway it's easier to think the thought are you
following me and pretty soon we have what we call a we we have a mindset what's a mindset a mindset is when I have an eight Lane freeway to something bad's about to happen to me are you with me and so when something happens it's like my mind automatically goes into oh this is going to go wrong something's happening to me something's going to this is terrible how do I break the cycle like what is actually happening when I renew my mind I'm talking about neurologically like what's actually happening when I renew my mind I'd
like to propose that when you renew your mind you're leaving the freeway or can I say you're leaving the highway to hell and you're coming and you're and you are getting on you're taking offramp and you're creating a new neural pathway are you with me okay how do I do that I'm going to just give you a real simple um illustration in Joshua chapter 1 verse 8 probably most people know this verse God says to Joshua this book of the law shall not depart from your mouth but you shall meditate on it everybody say meditate
on it day and night so that you may be careful to do according to all that's written in it for then you will make your way prosperous and then you will have success now uh seven verses for the the the previous seven verses God says I'm going to make you successful but in chapter 8 he says you're going to make you successful really interesting the word meditate he said I want you to let me just repeat it this book of the law shall not depart from your mouth but you shall meditate on it day and
night you shall meditate on it day and night the word meditate in the Hebrew is is actually the word growl growl like a lion in fact in in um in Isaiah 31:4 Isaiah wrote for thus says the Lord as a lion or the young lion growls over its prey and he goes on to talk about the lion growling overs prey the word Lon growling overs prey the word growl is the word meditate in other words sometimes when we think about meditation we think of like a little buddha man standing in the corner like mean you
know what are you doing I'm emptying my mind how many know that's not scriptural meditation scriptural meditation is not emptying your mind it's actually proactively being like a lion and building new neural Pathways can I picture it like this like a bulldozer I take the truth and I begin to bulldo a new pathway Through the Jungle of my mind are you with me so when I am in a circumstance and I built an eight Lane freeway to Something's about to go wrong I say okay I exit that freeway on purpose and I said what does
God say about this what are my what is my testimony what is my prophecy and what does the word say about this and I I remember well all things work together for good for those who love God and I take Romans 8:28 and I begin to exit the freeway even though my emotions say something terrible is going to happen I go no no we're not going to go we're not going to be led by the soul we're going to be led by the spirit and I began to proactively say no this is going to work
out for good my daughter's going to get home safely the principal probably took her aside she's she has these five prophetic words over her that haven't been fulfilled she's the daughter of the king she's going to be a dancer she's going to be an actress and I begin to remind myself of what God Said and as I do that I am plowing a new neurop pathway are you with me I am making a new neurop pathway in my mind and now what happens is and then the next time I have a circumstance obviously I have
an eight Lane freeway to to something bad's about to happen but now I have a walking trail and I walk down that trail and I take my bulldozer with me and what happens over time is not only have I exited the eight Lane freeway to hell but I have entered the highway to new way of thinking watch this what happens is if I stay off that freeway for 40 days proactively on purpose remember inactively if I don't take control of my mind my mind's going to go that way because my mind is developed my mind's
core value is let's make the easiest decision possible so I have to proactively use my will to say no we're going this way but while I'm going this way this is a metaphor the jungle is growing back over there now when I have a bad day I'm having a down day and I don't feel like taking my will you know I don't feel like taking the bull by the horns store speak it's a lot harder to go this way cuz I got no freeway that way my freeway the easiest way to come to a conclusion
is this direction because I got no Road there I um we had a a neighbor she she moved a couple years ago but we had a neighbor who had these two big I think they call mases they're like dogs that are like size of a small pony and she was a very she was like a 90 lb Asian girl and she would quote take the dogs for a walk you can you know where I'm going right she do it every morning and she she do it every morning uh about the same time and I pass
her every morning and she'd have those dogs and they would be literally dragging her down the street while she's pulling on them yelling at them and they're like peeing on the trees and pooping in people's yards and it was it was actually comical and one day I'm watching her like try to get the you know she's she's like she's yelling at them get off and she's got them on these big leashes and she's pulling on them and the dogs are just doing whatever they want to do and she's going with them and one day I'm
watching them and I'm kind of chuckling myself like she does this every morning you know uh think shock caller anyway and one day I'm watching her and the Lord says that's how your mind is yeah you you let your mind control you you don't control them and you and and your mind tells you every day what you're going to think and you don't take charge of it and tell your mind what it's going to think and he said most people are like this in that they they have they have depression anxiety panic attacks because the
dogs are telling them where they're going to go you're not telling the dogs where to go and the Lord said it's time to potty train your brain okay a good word that's probably the only thing that people remember in the sermon remember that sermon where what was the title body train your brain okay well there's a m there's much more to say about that but I want to take you to 1 Corinthians chapter 2 if you have a Bible you please turn there because I want to show you something you probably have read these verses
before but I want to point out something so when I re when I have a renewed mind I think like God can you say this with me when I have a renewed mind I think like God okay now let's look at 1 Corinthians Chapter 2 Verse 6 we going to kind of jump into the middle of a conversation Paul's having verse six we do not um sorry we do speak wisdom among those who are mature a wisdom however not of this age and not of the rulers of this age who are passing away but we
speak God's wisdom in a mystery everybody say mystery the hidden wisdom everybody say hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our Glory everybody say Glory the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age would have had would has understood for if they had understood it they would have not have crucified the Lord Of Glory okay now I want you to look down at your Bible whether it's in uh electronic form or paper form I want you to look down at your Bible and look at verse 9 verse 99 should be capitalized or
italicized or some way the font stands out against the other font did you notice that okay for those of you that don't know this whenever the font is changed in your Bible like that it means that the writer is quoting the Old Testament are you with me so Paul is quoting Isaiah the next verse is not Paul's words it's Isaiah's words are you with me okay and Isaiah said just as it is written things which Eye Has Not Seen Ear Has Not Heard and have not entered the heart of man all that God has prepared
for those who love him okay so Isaiah lives in the old Covenant he's not born again he doesn't have the spirit of God in him he only has the spirit of God on him are you with me and I could go on and on and on he still has a sin nature right he has he's not a new creation and he said Isaiah said things which Eye Has Not Seen ear has not heard it hasn't entered the heart of man all that God wants to do for those he love that's Isaiah's response to what is
God doing we have no idea we know it's good but we have no idea Paul writes this after that verse for to us God has revealed them through his spirit for the spirit searches all things even the deps of God for who among men knows the thoughts of a man except for the spirit of the man which is in him by the way people ask all the time does the devil know my thoughts he doesn't know your thoughts unless he gave them to you because this verse says that you're the only one who knows your
thoughts yours and you and God are the only ones who know your thoughts um even so the thoughts of God no one knows there you go no one knows the thoughts of God well wait except for the spirit of God now we received not the spirit of the world but the spirit who is from God that we may know everybody say know the thing come on freely given to us by God did you get that so the all so Isaiah says hey we we have no idea what God's thinking we just know it's good eye
hasn't seen it ear hasn't heard it and people quote this verse I've heard people preach like our thoughts are not God's thoughts I'm sorry God's thoughts are supposed to be our thoughts and we have access to the thoughts of God okay I'm going to make this quicker let's go down to the last verse verse 16 for who has known the mind of the Lord now stop for a minute did you notice it's italicized or it's capitalized it's because Paul again is quoting Isaiah who says who has known the mind of the Lord that he may
instruct him and Paul goes we do we have the mind of Christ what I'm getting at is that the Old Testament Prophet did not know what God was thinking but you do okay now think about this here we go I have an iPhone this is the only real fun there is it's from Apple think garden and a bunch of you are like think wrong tree I know what you're thinking have the thoughts of God on this phone I have movies I I have I have books on this phone like it's it's actually on the memory
of this phone it has a pretty big memory so i' have quite a few things on here I videos and audios and audiobooks and lots of and and I can access you know access it right here this is really pretty amazing have you ever traveled and you are watching a movie or a video maybe a YouTube video and you're watching it and you think it's on your phone and then you take off in the plane and you can't watch it because it's not on the phone it's in the cloud what I'm getting at is that
if I hit this little button called safari suddenly I have access to 3.5 billion people on the internet I can put in the word leadership and I could read about leadership from a billion people's different perspectives and probably not exhaust everything that people think about leadership it's not on the phone it's not on the hard drive are you with me like there are some things on the hard drive but that's not on the hard drive that's in the cloud and when I push this little button I have access to the thoughts of many millions of
people are you with me okay now think about IQ and EQ you're in this conference right now and you're learning things it's going to be on your hard drive whatever you absorb it's on your hard drive are you with me but spiritual intelligence is not on your hard drive it's inside the Holy Spirit who lives in your spirit so when what you have access to listen so what I'm getting at is your biological brain your heart and your mind they all remember things that's on your hard drive but when you access spiritual intelligence you are
not accessing your brain you're accessing his are you with me okay let me give you a scenario let's say that your neighbor I don't know what's an uncommon name here around here like let's say your neighbor is named um I don't know Herby is there a Herby in here okay I hope not and Herby Herby hates you he he throws crap over his fence at you he flips you off every morning calls you terrible things and you're like okay you're like Romans 12 you're like okay what would Jesus do and I begin to think like
Jesus right I think like Jesus and I think okay well Jesus said love your enemies he's obviously made himself an enemy I love him Jesus said bless those who persecute you so I every morning he flips me off and I bless him Jesus loves you I send him cookies without you know any poison in them I I take his garbage cat what am I doing I'm thinking you know wwjd what would Jesus do how many you know that's the mind of Christ I'm thinking like Jesus but no no I I said that wrong that's a
renewed mind I'm thinking like Jesus but the mind of Christ is not thinking like Jesus the mind of Christ is thinking what Jesus thinks same scenario her's throwing crap over my fence he's flipping me off every morning calls me dirty names instead of just thinking like Jesus I say holy spirit what's going on with Herby and suddenly the holy spirit says his father was a pastor he molested him then he would stand in the church he would stand in front of the church like a holy man and live like hell at home and when Herby
sees you he doesn't see you he sees his father how me know I'm not thinking like Jesus I just had a Jesus thought now I can build a a strategy we call it a strategy a spirit-led strategy because I actually know what's wrong you see when I tap into spiritual intelligence I didn't tap into my brain who's learned how to think like Jesus I tapped into his brain and I have full access to what God thinks about everything are you with me okay you're like well how come that doesn't happen to for us all the
time well I'd like to propose it's because we solve problems at the lower levels there we build no neural Pathways to sq because we solve them at IQ and EQ um we say things like this well all we can do now is pray about it or when I've done everything then I pray well what would happen if you prayed first let me give you an example it's in um 2 Kings 4 it's the story of the Elisha and the Widow and Elisha goes to this widow's house and her husband has died and he had left
a great debt and so Elisha comes and says how are you doing she says not not too well my husband left this debt and they're going to take my sons as slaves to pay for the debt and Elisha says to her what do you have what do you have and she says I got nothing but this little jar of oil remember the story he said okay go get some vessels not a few and bring them here so they go and get vessels I imagine they got garbage cans and they got jars and they got they
got anything that would hold oil and they bring them and Elisha takes the oil actually he tells the woman take the oil and now pour it into the vessels and they pour it and when all the vessels are full the oil stops right and then he says okay go sell the oil and pay off your debts great right he has can I propose an SQ answer if he would have said to the woman what do you have and she said I have $100,000 debt and he said okay listen I'll write it out of my my
Ministry account I'll write you a check for 100,000 how many you know he would have solved the problem at the lower level and never had an SQ experience because he had an IQ fix are you with me the one of the reasons why we don't have spiritual intelligence is because we rely on what we know instead of what he knows and the second thing I'll point out is that sometimes everybody say sometimes sometimes the SQ solution is not logical I don't know if you got what I just said I'm saying why don't we have neurop
Pathways to sq because when the Holy Spirit tells us hey you know go pour oil on that person or do this thing we go well that's ridiculous how could that help because then I I let my SQ be override by IQ and I don't do what God Said to do that he said would take care of of it are you following me years ago we we owned an auto part store we actually ended up owning three of them but we our very first auto part store we we bootstrapped in we didn't have any money and
we lived in Weaverville think about Weaverville you can't even act like you have a edge mation when you're from Weaverville where where do you live I live in Weaverville it doesn't remind me of that old movie Deliverance no definitely not going to impress anybody with your origin we had an auto part store and we we we you know definitely bootstrapped oursel in didn't have any money and winners were really tough because you could they as they would say in we rille you can shoot a cannon down the street and not hit a car so it
was tough times it was winter time and we had opened the store a year earlier and we had a computer system that was a you remember the Dos systems we had a Dos system and we in Auto Parts there there uh there are um uh proprietory systems for Auto Parts but we couldn't afford that was $30,000 at the time so we bought this little $4,000 system with a generic software and we were selling Auto Parts out of our store with it and it was fine for a while I have to tell you just a little
thing about Auto Parts or you won't understand the story auto parts are one of the few products that have five price levels you may not know this but almost every retail product has three price levels you basically have what they call Warehouse or jobber you have you have uh Warehouse jobber and distributor or retail but Auto Parts actually have five price levels and the reason is is that um we sell auto parts to a walk-in customer but we always sell it to a dealer who makes his like a shop who makes their money off of
partly off of the profit of part so we sell to shops less expensively than we sell to you know at a better price than we sell to the walk-in customer and then we also sell to shops that stock our parts so if they use us exclusively and they s and they sell our parts they actually get another discount so there's two more discounts on top of the normal discount well after about 6 months 80% of our business was repair shops and the challenge is the only way to give them a discount was to override the
price which mean you had to manually think through overriding the price and if they stocked our part we had to not only override the price but we had to REM remember that they stocked let's say all of our break parts so they get a discount on all of our break parts and it works like that well you can imagine the story I'm about to tell you because pretty soon we had so much shop business that my guys including myself we would forget to override the price and give them the price we we that we negotiated
and they would come back and they'd say hey you didn't give me the discount we' we' you know oh sorry we'd fix that and pretty soon we got so busy that the shops would come back and complain hey you said you're going to give me this extra 10% it's not on the receipt and then pretty soon it started a big problem because it started such a big problem that Kathy would come back at night and she' go through all the receipts and give and and fix all the receipts and then one day our biggest customer
who was doing about 5,000 a month with us which was a very big account for us at the time in a business that was one year old came in with six inches of receipts threw them on our desk on our counter and started screaming that we had ripped him off and that we were baai and switching him and that he would never use us again anyway that led to a crisis and I'm like okay what are we going to do it's the middle of winter how are we going to fix this and I and so
you know I I I called the software company that created the software for us told them our our problem and said we need five price levels and he was very kind and they actually let me talk to the the coder who actually coded the program the software and he said Mr Von um I'll try but this was written for only three price levels I don't know if I can fix it a week later he called and said I can't fix this software you need proprietory software I go yeah I know that's the deal but it's
it's $30,000 and it's winter I have no money so I called my friend who's a like computer genius guy everybody's got a computer genius friend right I call my friend he goes well I got a friend he can fix it well he came three nights after we closed he came all uh for three nights in a row tried to reprogram it after that he said Chris this says program for three price levels that's all there is well I go home you know this is all happens within two weeks I go home and I am like
desperate I'm like Lord uh we got a problem I don't know what to do about it I go to sleep and I have a dream now first of all let me just tell you something I know nothing about computers especially then I can't even turn on our computer in the morning you have to type in this thing to get it to come up I have to wait for my manager every morning to turn the computer on I don't know how to turn the computer on my wife knows how to turn the computer on and my
manager only two people that can turn our computer on so in the middle of the night 3:00 in the morning winter day winter winter time 3et of snow on the ground I go to sleep stressed out I pray God I need an answer and I have a dream and in the dream I see what I know now to be four lines of code I didn't know what to call it but four lines of code and when I wake up I wake up out of the dream I can still see it it's not I don't see
it with my eyes but it is burnt into my mind I take out my journal and I write down what I see not realizing that if you get the backsplash wrong it's not going to work right I wake Kathy up at 3:30 and I and I say hey baby we need to go to the part store she's like what I said the lord gave me this dream and I think I have the solution to the software problem' and at the time she wasn't a Believer well she believed in Jesus but not in me I [Applause]
mean I finally get her out of bed at 4 in the morning we get down to the auto part store she is not in a good mood and and she gets the computer up and she's like give me the first line and you know she's like you know tell me what the first line is and I don't even know like I'm going like it's a front slash like this she's just giving it to me so she puts in the first line the computer goes down comes back up and she's like I think we're in the
back of the program she puts the rest of it in we shut the computer off turn it back on and we have PR five price levels oh yeah you are looking at a technological genius I actually know nothing about computers my point is is that the Lord knows everything about everything he is the coder of coders The Genius of geniuses he is Larry it's going to get better give it up for Larry love you I know it's being funny he's the genius of geniuses and I believe that the Lord wants to open us up to
spiritual intelligence we started a a tech school called bethl School of Technology because the Lord has called us to make disciples of Nations about six years ago I was interacting with a friend of mine and we were talking about how do you actually change the world and I had this Revelation for me at least well if you're going to change the world in the information age you're going to have to in the information gate and I had this picture in my mind of Samson when he took a hold of the Philistine Gates and he carry
them to the mountain I'm like we need to take the Philistine Gates and carry them to the mountain of the Lord and so we start at this we decided that we would start a coding school so that we could take the Daniels Esther and Joseph's disguise them as coders and Seed them into every realm of culture coming through the technological gate but what's been really interesting is we start teaching SQ to our students so not only do they learn coding but we call it coding with the cause they learn how to heal the sick they
learn how to cast out demons they learn how to get words of knowledge and our coders and and by the way uh they at the end of a 9 months training we have about an 87% place rate and they get placed in jobs that start about 65 to 75,000 a year and it's been changing lives but the part I love about it is we also teach them SQ and a bunch of our students are starting to get breakthroughs and Technology when they are just Junior coders and I'm like what would happen if you took the
kingdom and you seated it into the Cesspool of humanity right in the gate of the Philistines and you started bringing spiritual intelligence into Google into Facebook into Twitter into Microsoft and we have people working in all those places now we've started a a Revival group in Twitter in Facebook at Google and one of our goals is to get Revival groups in every technological company in the world where Daniel's and Joseph's and Esther's disguised as normal everyday people bring the supernatural Kingdom into a world that would never invited in to me this is the next Frontier
U you know we used to say you know we we want God to invade the world world I I don't like that language anymore I'd rather have the world invite us I'd rather come through invitation than Invasion I'd rather come to our city in in a way that they actually invite us in interesting in May uh I think it's May 6 2019 the San Francisco Chronicle the San Francisco Chronicle do I need to say more they did an article on bethl they did an article on Reading California and the article was entitled is this reading
or is this Heaven it was about a five-page article on what they called the bethl effect on reading and they interviewed they didn't interview us they interviewed the mayor they interviewed the police chief they interviewed the sheriff they interviewed city council members and the article was all about the effect that Believers were having on a city and they said this is this is the guy who doesn't believe in God this is his comment it's almost Supernatural it's almost Supernatural they interviewed the police chief and and he and the the the reporter said he quotes him
he said the police chief said when they ask for a meeting he said when people ask for a meeting they always want something' when they ask for a meeting they're always coming to ask what they can do to help us they bought us drones they raised $1.2 million to take care of to pay for four of our office officer salaries and anyway the the the mayor was like well they bring the kingdom mayor was talking about bringing the kingdom the it it was just this article about what we do in a city as Believers not
just as bethl but as Believers and people ask all the time like how do you have influence in your city well be we we come to the the city manager's office the mayor's office and we don't come there and tell them this is the way it ought to be we ask them what their vision is and how we can help it come true we bought $1 million worth of equipment tractors and trucks and and chainsaws and and every week our students have to do City service which means we put about 1,600 students to work in
our city every week and the reason why we do that is because we want our students to think not just I go to a church but I belong to a city and and and we take this seriously that we're the light of the world a city set on a hill that can't be hidden why am I telling you all this because I believe that spiritual intelligence isn't about you it's about the benefit that we can bring to the world when we're the smartest brightest most intelligent greatest innovators greatest inventors like I think that we we
are supposed to benefit the world and by the way I think spiritual intelligence is the best evangelic tool ever when Christians stop being stupid and start being the smartest person in the room and people go how hey I knew you how did you get that I go all you need to do is receive Christ and become born again and get the mind of the Lord I'm gonna pray for you would you stand please I don't know about you but I I'm really tired of Dumb and Christianity being related I'm a fool for Christ that has
a whole different meaning if you think through it if you read the scripture what's foolishness to man is actually brilliant it's foolish to pour oil in jars unless it isn't and what I'm getting at is that the wisdom of God is hidden and it's often hidden behind foolishness but it's not foolish it actually solves a problem and so I want to pray right now that the Lord would give us access to the mind of Christ like you have it but I want to pray that you would have faith to think in New Dimensions that when
you come up against your crazy neighbor or bad circumstance you wouldn't make prayer the last thing what would happen if every morning ladies you went shopping before you go shopping you'd say holy spirit tell me what store I should go in you know what's going to happen when you ask the holy spirit for things that you can do without him but you do with him is that you get to the store and you're not just thinking groceries you're thinking destiny you're like the Holy Spirit told me to go to raes I usually go to Shopco
but I'm going to raes today because Holy Spirit told me to go there and all day long you're either you're thinking I'm going to meet someone here I'm going to get a sale God's going to give me Supernatural I'm going to save money or I'm going to save a person today something's going to happen because I called on the Holy Spirit when I didn't have to and when I when I call on the Holy Spirit on Simple Things how many know I'm building neural Pathways to sq instead of having to do it in in the
fry I do it every day and Lord I pray right now that we would be that we would be renewed in the spirit of our mind that we be renewed in the spirit of our mind and Lord that you would release on us the mind of Christ and father that we would begin to have faith that we have access to All God's thoughts and that we lord would not come to you last but first and Lord I pray that you would release on us the distinguishing of spirit that you would give us the words of
knowledge prophecy and that we'd begin to think like you think and everybody say I receive this for myself for my children for my children's children in Jesus name amen thank you so very much for listening
