I have in my hands a biblical commentary on John made by Hernandes Dias Lopes and at the end of chapter 13 of his comments, there is a text here that I found very beautiful and would like to share with you. He says the following the text, the text we have just considered, that is, chapter 13, teaches us fundamental lessons. In the face of privileges, we must act with humility.

Faced with the contamination of the world, we need constant purification. Faced with the vanity of the world, we need to learn that true happiness is to serve and not be served. Faced with eternity and the destiny of our soul, we need to be careful not to fall into the abyss of hypocrisy.

Faced with the challenges of the work, we must love one another and faced with the trials of the journey, we must depend completely on the Lord. That's it, folks! Chapter 13 of John, a beautiful chapter, with many lessons.
