As you know prebiotic function the same as probiotic. Prebiotic are dietary fiber that beneficially affect the host by selectively stimulating the growth and activity of one or a limited number of bacteria. Today we will share with you the product that we have been using at our farm.
Stay tuned ! In our farm we prefer to use mannan oligosaccharide (MOS) as prebiotic and most aquaculture farms also use this prebiotic. This prebiotic can increase resistant to bacterial viral and parasitic infection because they are composed of complex carbohydrate molecules that can activate the immune system of animals by increasing total leukocyte count and lysozyme activity.
In addition, this prebiotic also have the ability to mimic the properties of the cells on the gut wall, to attract and bind with harmful bacteria to prevent it from attached to the gut wall. MOS cleans the harmful bacteria and removes them from the digestive system of animal by egg as a sticky sponge Thus, it encourages good bacteria and minimize bad bacteria. Last but not least, MOS also can improve appetite and feed efficiency by increasing surface area with longer microvilli for absorption and feed utilization.
Indirectly, it can increase the bodyweight of animal when it consumes the prebiotic that contain MOS. For those in Malaysia we will soon upload the product in our shoppe account.
