seek to answer today through the story of a paladin named Isaac highest Crusader Who Bore deep in dark secrets let's get started in the heartland of spiritual fervor an elite military order exists the dark Crusaders Bound in service to the Church of Orion Radiance their dedication runs deep standing as Guardians and Warriors of the Faith with unparalleled discipline and commitment they dedicate themselves to a singular cause the dissemination of the teachings of the radiant God oras these dark Crusaders Are Not Mere foot soldiers they represent the Pinnacle of devotion often called upon when ordinary measures
fail in a world rif with challenges they make hard choices unafraid to embrace controversial methods when the stakes are high they strive to bring forth the message of Aras no matter the sacrifice involved in the ranks of the dark ERS stands a figure of unwavering commitment Isaac chosen for tasks that demand exceptional Valor he finds himself on a path leading to M instead a place shadowed by looming threats the god Tyrant a deer must remain imprisoned never to return to plague the lands the responsibility vested upon Isaac is immense he must cleanse the five radiant
beacons pillars of Hope and imprisonment for a deer these beacons stand fr agile threatened by the encroaching corruption in his Arsenal Isaac possesses a tool of Paramount importance the heretical artifact known as the umbral lamp as Isaac embarks on this sacred Mission memories flood back to a defining moment in his life the day he was anointed as a paladin these memories remained etched in his heart with the blessings of the Church of Oran Radiance he made a solemn vow to oras a vow of Purity obedience and an unwavering resolve to uphold the tenants of his
faith regardless of the challenges that lay ahead but deep down in Isaac's heart his devotion is fueled by the need to absolve the sins of his own flesh and blood his brother Paladin Samuel Samuel was the brother of Isaac he was a paladin and himself a member of the dark Crusaders with the distinction of a proud Paladin Samuel's ending was not one of Valor but one of dereliction and of ultimate punishment as the church's methods grew increasingly stringent and unwavering Samuel's Faith began to waver these shifts were subtle at first yet as days transformed into
months his once steadfast dedication showed signs of questioning the conclusion of Samuel's tale is a somber one execution the reasons behind this drastic act stay veiled in Shadow and speculation yet its implication ations on Isaac are clear the weight of the lineage and its tarnished reputation presses down on him as if to serve as a tangible manifestation of this pressure Isaac carries with him a morbid momento a piece of Samuel's skin this keeps the memory of his brother's Fall From Grace alive and acts as a reminder for Isaac to stay the course no matter how
arduous or demanding it becomes little did he know that the umbrell lamp he carried would prove to be the biggest challenge he ever faced a key instrument in the dance between the realm of life and the realm of death is the umbrell lamp creation by mulu the last of the nuta and the umbral high priest you can find under skyrest bridge the lamp burns with a unique luminescence one that does more than merely dispel the dark it grants its holder the ability to Traverse the umbral realm and even defy death itself however wielding such power
does not come without its challenges the umbrell lamp's application is of utmost importance to Isaac as he seeks to cleanse more instead of ader's corruption for to truly rid a place of a God's malevolence one must sometimes embrace the very Darkness they seek to purge the Tyrant God in his wisdom realizes the threat that a lamp Bearer poses as a countermeasure he fuses the ferocity of a rogar with the Eerie essence of an umbral parasite resulting in a formidable creature the light Reaper riding at top a dragon-like creature that breathes fire this hybrid Hunter possesses
a singular goal to eradicate all lamp bearers Isaac in his Endeavors encounters the light Reaper time and time again with each confrontation he faces death only to be reborn through the power of the lamp yet this cycle is far from benign while the light Reaper's Vigor remains constant Isaac finds each Resurrection more tax than the last the unyielding chase the repeated deaths and the constant return from the umbral realm where on isc's resolve as I've mentioned the umbral lamp although a tool of power extracts a steep toll from its user with each Resurrection the lines
between life and death blur and the distinction between righteousness and heresy starts to wne venturing frequently into the umbral realm leaves an indelible mark on ISAC each Journey to the the Land of the Dead not only physically exhausts him but mentally afflicts him with doubts and apprehension the very core of his beliefs once unshakable start to waver under the weight of his experiences in the snowy expanse of morstead Isaac seeks solace in his faith orius may your grace sustain me in these most desperate of days and in the darkness through which I fight for it
seems to encroach ever closer and I I fear the weight of this profane work will crush me or worse as ever I Turn to You in My Moment of doubt and will endeavor to remember that this role which perturbs me so is merely a necessity in the performance of your will and in that I vow to be Resolute please continue to hold my brother Samuel in your radiant Embrace Forever More in light we walk his inner turmoil doesn't go unnoticed at the path of devotion exactor dunmire a figure of authority in the church listens to
Isaac's troubles their exchange highlights the chasm growing between personal conviction and the unyielding dogma of the church sullying my soul with such a heretical burden I cannot help but feel like this path only leads me leads all of us further from orius his light not closer to it exactor there must be some other way so you deem my guidance injudicious no I and a soul of Greater significance than the world entire and all other Souls upon it no for one whose family name Bears the shame it does Isaac you exhibit an unfortunate tendency toward recalcitrant
I would be discontented if the hubris to which your brother succumbed was confirmed a familial sin look to the damnatory skin you carry Paladin for that is your true burden not the umbrell lamp dunmire reminds Isaac of the blemish on his family name and warns him against following in his brother's ill-fated Footsteps in his words Isaac's real burden isn't the umbral lamp but the damning reminder of his brothers Fall From Grace the piece of skin he carries with him yet the weight of death hangs heavy on Isaac with each death he thrusts into the torment
of umbrell the promise of Eternal rest remains Out Of Reach replaced by an eternity of suffering and doubt for Isaac the age-old understanding of death is abanded it isn't a finality but a recurring torment portal to NeverEnding pain the light Reaper eventually Corners Isaac sealing his fate once more in the Final Act of desperation and hope Isaac perhaps understanding that he can't outrun his fate forever and unwilling to Bear the burden of the lamp anymore makes a difficult choice to part with the very tool that grants him the power of Resurrection the umbrell lamp his
action isn't one of defeat but of Hope by relinquishing the lamp he trusts that oras will guide it to someone more capable someone who can carry forward the torch of Hope and Purge more instead of its corruption and this is where Lords of the Fallen starts when the lamp falls on you however with this act Isaac seals his own fate both in life and death the light Reaper delivers the final blow ending Isaac's journey in Axiom but death as Isaac has come to realize Is No Escape he awakens in the umbral realm but not as
he once was no longer is he Isaac the Paladin or the dark Crusader in this place he's transformed into a manifestation of his struggles and sacrifices known only as the Paladin's burden Isaac's form in the umbrell realm symbolizes the weight of his decisions his family Legacy and the overwhelming responsibility of the mission your journey as the one to pick up where Isaac's left off leads you you to confront and free this tormented version of Isaac upon defeating the embodiment of his burdens a sign of his past Remains the piece of skin from his brother Samuel
with this artifact in hand you navigate through the umbrell realm eventually arriving at the defiled Seiler where Isaac lost his life for the last time there the piece of skin becomes the key unlocking the path to Isaac's final resting place beyond the door there lies a testament not just to a paladin but to a brother and a faithful servant Who Bore burdens Beyond imagination but this is not the end of Isaac no as a servant of oras Isaac knows true evil the light Reaper as you the player face the light Reaper an opportunity emerges from
the Shadows of the past it becomes a conduit to summon the spirit of Isaac bringing forth the Fallen Paladin into the arena the very sight of Isaac embodies the promise of redemption a chance to break the chain and kill the light Reaper Isaac channels his determination and the weight of his unfulfilled oath to oras but also to his brother the battle is fierce but together you and Isaac work in harmony the light Reaper which once seemed Invincible slowly succumbs to the combined might of determination and purpose Redemption at last but Redemption isn't just about avenging
