want to show you step by step and there's not that many steps how to quickly turn a YouTube post into a blog post so here's what we're going to do first first of all we're going to go to YouTube and I'm just going to grab a video right here one of my videos uh three things to think about before you buy video gear so we're going to go to it before you buy I'm gonna pause it now I don't know if you knew this or not but you can actually whenever you upload a video to
YouTube they're transcribing it I mean like second by second so the old way was to like you know use services and you would grab transcripts you don't have to do that anymore and let me show you how to get the transcript but this isn't even the fastest way so go on your video right here you see these three dots when you click on those it says show transcript and it opens it up right here now if we were to copy and paste that right now it's going to get all of these numbers so you see
these three dots click on that toggle timestamp and here's what happens now you can actually cut and paste or copy all of this and paste it into a a document but there's even a faster way and check this out so we're gonna go and we're gonna grab the sharing link right here copy that and now we're gonna go to a site called YouTube transcript and check this out so we're going to copy and paste it right there and hit go and just like that I mean I did not speed this up just like that there's
a full transcript of the video now you may say well Kevin you could copy and paste it off there you can but I'm telling you I think this is faster then do this go copy entire transcript and now we're going to go to my probably one of my favorite tools of all time and it's Bard so we're going to go to Bard and we're going to take what we've just done and right here I'm going to say summarize this for a blog post and we're going to paste in everything from the transcript site let Bard
do its thing I'm not speeding this up at all and watch this here you go now one of the reasons I really like Bard and I covered this in another video about why I personally think Bard is better than chat gbt why I use Bard over chat GPT there's a link to that down in the description but if you notice one of the things is it gives you other drafts so if you don't like this you could always ask it to do it again and you can change like the prompts but check this out here's
another one oh I like this you know the gear trap when you're buying new gear blah blah blah and here's another one as well so I think just for for this demo I'm going to take this one right here now again this is why I love Bard we don't even have to copy and paste it all I'm going to do is now you need Google uh you know actually you need a Google account to even use bar but I'm going to do this I'm going to export to Docs and it's thinking about it and watch
this we're going to open docs and there it is I mean that is literally just what Bard wrote right there starts with gear trap when you're doing all this and you do all this so what I'm going to do is I'm going to change the title of it to um uh it's called three things to think about before buying oops gear okay and that'll be actually I'm going to copy that now sometimes you do have to copy and paste stuff so there's the title of our post now from here it's pretty much done now I
here's here's one of the things I am going to encourage you to do I'm not going to do it I'm not going to do it for this video but I would always really read through uh anything AI spits by and and sometimes it works sometimes you may have to add some things to so I am going to add just this and it's kind of usually my signature after a video uh or after a blog post that says keep creating Kevin because because that's my name now here's what I'm going to do I'm going to copy
and paste this now the following may be a little different based on who you use for your web provider I use a site called payhip it's just it's it's what my site is on in fact here's my site just so you can see it um you know people use WordPress I've had WordPress I've had Squarespace this is my site it's currently what it looks like so we're in the back end right now and I'm going to go to blog post and I'm going to add a new blog post and I'm going to just pop the
whole oops you know what my bad so now I need to copy and paste all of that and then we're going to get in here and there we go now since I know this is the title I'm going to take this to here and you know let me just go ahead and capitalize things things to think about before buying gear so this is like the the title of my of my uh blog right now there's very there's a little cleanup I've got to do here in the back end and again depending on how how your
uh what your blog post provider looks like you may not have to do any of this now it's missing one it's missing actually two things it's missing a thumbnail and it's missing a uh the video so we're gonna go back to YouTube Here's the video now again the the way the way my website provider pay hip works is you embed the video so sometimes you can just put the link sometimes you can put the embed let me show you how to do either one of those so if you can just do the link on your
site do this but I use the embed code copy that and it's all right there I'm gonna go back to here and you notice right here it says insert video I paste that in I insert the video and there it is now upload image I've already got the image of this that I saved off of uh from canva and canva is what I use for all my graphics for thumbnails um but I went on and grabbed that in there and I'm just gonna go with it so right here I'm gonna go add blog post there
it is let's view it and there it is right there and again if you want to we can go to my website I'm going to hit refresh just so everybody sees it and we're going to go to blog and that's the article the blog post that we just created using all of those steps is that not crazy crazy simple and easy so links to everything down in the description I'd love to hear any questions or comments you've got I I'm telling you it it it really has changed the game for how fast now I can
