This week we are going to talk about pastel for people with diabetes, we are also going to talk about bean soup for patients with type 2 diabetes and we are going to talk about papaya consumption. Is it interesting for people with diabetes? Three excellent contents to enjoy.
Watch until the end. I'm sure you'll leave here learning more and more with us in today's video is question number one. She's the following Bandit I'm a type two diabetic.
I can eat pastel once every two weeks and the answer is that you could even consume pastel once every two weeks. But we have to understand, especially in those diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, what we need to avoid, create the habit of going off the diet in quotes. So, from the moment that we always create an opportunity to eat a pastry from the fair to be able to drink that sugarcane juice, that orange juice is not interesting.
Especially because people often end up eating two pastries, ending up having a cane juice. Also ends up adding pineapple juice. And this is unfeasible for those with diabetes.
Even because the pastry is made from wheat flour. It also takes a lot of fat to be fried and, depending on the stuffing, it gets even more greasy and, consequently, more caloric. So, from the moment we create this habit, we create this gap to eat pastel every two weeks.
But we tend to gain weight and excess weight harms those with diabetes and from the moment we have impaired glucose levels, balanced hemoglobin rises . Thus, it can also cause the appearance of complications in the medium and long term. So my advice is that you avoid consuming it mainly every two weeks.
In case you have a good delicate hemoglobin, a good body weight with a balanced diet, consuming a pastelzinho once a month will not bring much harm, but prioritize not consuming this type of product, because from the moment you are creating gaps, creating openings to get out of the diet, to get out of a more intelligent diet, you end up making room to eat that pizza on the weekend to order that hamburger. So this is not interesting. Our brain, it likes to be rewarded.
And food ends up compensating for all this struggle that the diabetic faces when trying to control glucose, when trying to control the treatment. And this ends up being very complicated, because from the moment we end up opening these gaps, it is very easy for us to abandon the routine of a balanced diet and a healthy diet. So avoid as much as possible.
If you manage to be ok? It's question number two. Here's the thing, Edu, consuming bean soup with vegetables and a protein is very harmful for those with diabetes.
And the answer here is not so damaging. Once you know how to choose well what you are going to eat, you can make a more specific transition. The focus is on whether you are going to consume the bean soup.
Do not add any flour. We observe a lot that people end up adding cassava flour, corn flour, bean soup and this ends up making consumption unfeasible. If you consume bean soup in moderate amounts, without excesses, adding, for example, a chicken breast, adding, for example, shredded beef, ground beef.
If you also add, for example, a good source of fiber like kale, if you add cabbage. If you add another source of fiber, vegetables and greens, you leave the meal much more interesting and much more controlled in relation to carbohydrate excesses. So, if we compare this question with the previous question, we already see that we can weigh the choices, avoid high-calorie foods, as in the case of pastry, consider bean soup, add a protein like a chicken breast , add vegetables and greens like cabbage, like a little cabbage.
So we are already able to make a much more accurate choice that will not cause any negative impact on the semi. But remembering, we must not add, for example, rice, we cannot add, for example, some flour, because then it loses its intelligence when it comes to eating through that dish. But beforehand it can be consumed.
Be sure to make this smarter choice by choosing a good source of protein, good vegetables and greens and leaving flour aside, ok. As for question number three, it is the following Edu Papaya, can diabetics consume it and the answer is yes. We can, yes, consume papaya.
It is a source of fiber, despite having fructose, which is a carbohydrate. If we consume without excesses and unsweetened, for example, with honey, with molasses, with sugar or we make a papaya smoothie with sugar. We can, yes, consume mainly the fruit.
If you have intestinal problems, a trapped intestine, if you suffer from evacuation problems, papaya helps a lot, as it is rich in fiber. It has a very pleasant taste, so we can consume it without any problems. As I mentioned earlier, you shouldn't sweeten it, especially with honey.
You shouldn't make a papaya smoothie and sweeten it with sugar. And so we can already prevent the glucose from rising. From the moment we do not include honey or sugars in this product.
If we want to increase the ability to improve the proper functioning of the intestine, just consume papaya with the seeds. It makes it much more interesting, it helps a lot in the proper functioning of the intestine and I'm sure it will also help with this issue of evacuation. If you have problems with a trapped intestine and take advantage of it with your mind down here, use this strategy.
Consume half a hand every day for breakfast, if possible with the seed. I'm sure you'll already add a lot to the proper functioning of your intestine, for better control of your diabetes and that way you can vary your diet. It's OK.
