Summing it up The bravest toys in the universe have arrived. Masters of the universe. Daddy fixes a faucet somewhere in Eternia.
Come, come daddy. Come to play. The legend of He-Man and Skeletor continues with exciting collectible adventures.
I will revenge! I will revenge! In the early 80's Mattel created some nice and cool toys.
When they were wondering how to sell them, a person came up with the idea of making a very cheap series, with a very simple animation and very repetitive adventures. And so this beautiful animated series was born. So today at "Summing it up".
. . This is the story of Prince Adam, a muscular boy, with blond side bangs and a green tiger.
He is the son of the king and queen and is quite clumsy and dumb. But, but, but. .
. He has a secret. When he raises his sword and shouts By the power of Greyskull!
His clothes change, his skin tan and he becomes He-Man, the strongest guy in the universe. And his tiger gets bigger and a red armor appears on him. The funny thing is that no one, really no one, realizes that Prince Adam and He-Man are the same person even though they are exactly the same.
You will never be a warrior like He-Man. Well, who knows? I'm very good with the sword, Teela.
That is, nobody is suspicious that both have the same face, that both have the same haircut, that both have a green tiger and that whenever one appears, the other disappears. There is even a chapter where a castle room is set on fire and Prince Adam leaves and He-Man arrives to help put out the fire. No one was suspicious that He-Man learned about the fire so quickly?
No one thought it was weird that He-Man entered the castle without problem? Nobody is going to say anything about it? ¡No!
¡No! ¡No! ¡No!
The thing is that He-Man is not alone. A lot of characters accompany him. I'm talking about.
. . Duncan, as the trustworthy man of the kings and one of the few who knows the secret identity of He-Man.
Teela, as the captain of the royal guard who is a little in love with He-Man. Orko, as the magician who floats and has no face and is the comic relief of the series. Sorceress, as the guardian of the castle of Grayskull and the wisest of the series.
Stratos, as the guy with feathers. Zodak, as the guy who has a tight helmet. Ram Man, as the short guy with no neck.
They live in a medieval fantasy world where they can find very strange beings. Like a living chess, a horse with tentacles, a giant monster with horns, rabbits with one ear, a three-eyed dinosaur, gnomes, a lion-headed dragon, a guy with a vegetable head, a giant tick and a larva with an elephant trunk and a propeller. But it's not only a medieval fantasy world because there are also technological elements such as ships, drones, robots, telecoms, a rock softener machine, a sculpting machine and a truck with inexplicable oval wheels.
In this way, He-Man and his friends, throughout 130 episodes, live multiple and repeated adventures. Like when they face some dragons, or like when they face an ice monster, or like when they face a stone monster, or like when they face a sand monster or like when they fight against a sorcerer, or like when they fight against another sorcerer, or like when they fight with another different sorcerer, or like when they fight with another different sorcerer who has a slanket, or like when they teleport them to another dimension, or like when they teleport them to another dimension again, or like when they teleport them to another dimension for the third time, or like when they turn them into stone, or like when they turn them into stone again, or like when they turn them into stone for the third time. But to be fair there are other adventures that are not related to teleporting to another dimension or turning into stone.
No. There are others that are worth highlighting. Like the time a friend of Teela who wants to be strong like her appears.
Because I'm weak and shy my friend got hurt. I would like to be strong. Then an old woman gives her a liquid for that.
What is this? What have you given me? It will make you feel anything you want to feel.
But then it is not enough for her and she wants more liquid. I feel so bad. There is only one thing that can make me feel better.
And then she wants more liquid. But the old woman, who isn't stupid, doesn't want to give it to her for free. She wants to sell it to her.
Could you give me more of your potion? Not this time, honey. The time has come for you to pay me what you owe me.
What? You got into drugs, blonde! What a metaphor!
I love nature. I don't like drugs! Do you get it?
Another interesting adventure is that of Teela's lover who is a bit violent. I hope to see you again and make you mine forever. But you rejected me!
As Teela doesn't pay attention to him he does what any violent lover would do instead. He kidnaps her. ¡Beast!
As the chapter progresses he realizes that what he did was wrong and he also realizes that his secretary was also in love with him. And he decides to start dating her. And she gets very happy even though he.
. . well.
. . He proved to be very violent and kidnapped a girl.
Hey friend, be careful. Another interesting adventure is that of the blonde girl with whom He-Man stars in a famous meme. Don't touch me!
Don't worry. Now you are safe. Then they take her to the castle and there they keep telling her that she is pretty and that they love her.
Hey, how beautiful you are Much more than cute, she is an adorable girl. Well, I . .
. I love you . .
. I really love you. Me too.
And she looks at them with a "gentlemen, this is awkward, I'm a minor" face. Another interesting adventure is that of He-Man becoming Femi-He-Man. Why does one group have to be better than the other?
Men and women are exactly the same. The problem is that he comes to this reflection when he meets a community of women who have enslaved men and enslave him. That's where you remember equality, shame on you!
In the end he makes a not very nice comment. However, there is a small difference between men and women. Well.
. . a very small difference, I admit it.
What's the matter? Another interesting adventure happens when He-Man thinks he killed a guy and gets very sad. He is dead.
-I can't believe what he did. -He killed a man. Fucking killer!
Killer! And here begins one of He-Man's drama. And if I'm not worthy.
. . I can't allow me to remain He-Man.
He gets so sad that he renounces being He-Man. And instead of giving the sword to another person, which would be the most reasonable thing, he throws it away. But calm, because it's finally discovered that it was a lie of Skeletor and everything returns to normal.
Oh wait! I didn't tell you who Skeletor is. Skeletor is the most villainous villain in the He-Man universe.
A guy who is a skeleton who wants to dominate Grayskull's power to conquer the universe. He has multiple abilities such as moving people with the mind, throwing lightning through the fingers, creating matter, teleporting, being a master of disguise, being a master of hiding. .
. My old friend. .
. Skeletor! And knowing how to use a staff to do what the plot requires.
He also has several minions who follow him everywhere. Like the beast guy, the fish-face guy, the enchantress who dresses in violet, the one-eye guy, the metallic guy and many more. The thing is that He-Man and Skeletor are going to fight on many occasions.
I don't know why I have a feeling he will return. Of course he will return. Oh yes, they will meet in many episodes.
And even though Skeletor has many more powers than He-Man, he will never beat him. And although they occasionally catch Skeletor, they release him without explanation instead of imprisoning him. Are you going somewhere Skeletor?
Alright He-Man, it will be on another occasion. Whenever you want. Actually the most villainous villain of He-Man isn't Skeletor.
It's. . .
himself. Because for no one to discover his secret identity, when he is Prince Adam he has to pretend he is clumsy and a bit stupid. And so nobody suspects that they are the same person.
. . But what's going on?
! They have the same face! They also live in a town where, at most, there are twenty people!
No one realizes it? ! Well, as I was saying.
. . He has to pretend he is a little stupid so his father spends his time scolding him.
Save your apologies, please. And take your place. Adam, if you want to keep playing the clown.
. . you better do it elsewhere.
I think you'll have something better to do, right? Yes, sir. The guy is very sad because he feels that his father does not respect him.
And that is another He-Man drama. You don't know how I would like to take off that costume and make my father proud of me. Why didn't you become He-Man, Adam?
I wanted to prove to my father that I could be a hero, but. . .
I failed. But I can't make my father respect me without telling him my secret. Until in a moment, Mustache Man gives him advice that makes him see things differently.
Listen son. . .
You were granted the power of He-Man for a reason. But nobody has said that you cannot use that power to make you happy. I understand now.
And I also know what I should do. And, being He-Man, he can receive an "I love you" from his father. I love that boy very much.
For a father there are times when it's very difficult to tell a child how much he is loved. Actually, the most villainous villain of He-Man is neither Skeletor, nor himself, but the cartoonists and animators. They had to do the episodes very quickly and in a hurry.
So sometimes they drew some weird faces. And they recycled many scenes, especially where he laughs throwing his head back. Do your best, son of a bitch.
Do your best. The thing is that the episodes were designed to have no continuity so you could find any of them on TV and watch it without problem. The only one with continuity is number 40 that has a first and a second part.
But none more. That caused the series to end abruptly in episode 130. I have to go now.
My planet needs me. NOTE: He-Man died on his way back to his home planet. Wow, Poochie came from another planet?
Uh, I guess. . .
And if I talk about the endings, I can't stop mentioning how the He-Man chapters ended. Because they always ended up with some character looking at the camera and giving us some advice. There were simple tips .
. . I would like to speak for a moment about the issue of security.
When we go to the beach, there are lifeguards that take care of our safety. For example, wearing a seat belt when riding in a car can save your life and avoid getting hurt. The most wonderful magic of all.
. . is to be alive.
Unnecessary advice such as "no one can travel to the past". As we have just seen, Skeletor traveled to the past to carry out his diabolical tasks. Actually no one can go back to the past.
Or "spells don't exist". We all know that spells or demons don't exist. And, obviously, repetitive advice.
Like "don't judge people. " Today I learned something about judging people by their appearance. Or "don't judge people.
" What's inside is what really matters. Or "don't judge people. " That is why the saying of not judging a book by its cover is so important.
And "don't judge people". An old saying says "don't judge a book by its cover". Which means that the exterior doesn't show what is inside.
That applies to books and people. After this series came a spin-off with She-Ra, He-Man's twin sister, a very bad movie with Iván Drgo. .
. I've got the power! Another animated series in 2002 and it seems they will continue to take advantage of He-Man for much longer.
Well. . .
