[Music] feeling good I'm feeling great sound check one two 3 sound check 1 two 3 we got superheroes in the house today baby it's Mr Beast yes is that why you may me wear these glasses yes sir you like it yeah I yes what the am I wearing you do know that we're super happy to have you here right I can't imagine how many people have told you that already I mean I Feel It by the amount of people Banging on the side of my cars everywhere I drive oh one second the kid's back hey
um that basically summs up my experience you had time constraints we had a pack schedule but we made it work yes I've heard a lot of great things about you Carrie and all the other creators we were with spoke very highly and I was like I want to do a podcast and they just were like well this is the one and here we are are you proud of Yourself no not really I feel like I'm going to be working till the day I die but I I feel like I'm just getting started last 90 days
on just our main Channel I think we've gotten it's around like 630 million unique viewers if you look at that as is a percentage of the entire planet that's like 78% of the humans alive have seen a main Channel Mr Beast video I mean what did you pray for when you were a kid did you pray at all yeah I mean I was praying every day to Be a YouTuber I mean every I probably every hour when I was growing up I would have such intense dreams about wanting to be a YouTuber that like I
would have chest pain like it would get so intense I wanted it so badly I sometimes wonder about the conversations your mom and dad have with my parents just we didn't have much money and you know as things started to work when I got more money on a single brand deal one time than she was making an entire year it went from Her being stressed and worried and all these things to like you know Jimmy Jimmy's got this is she the person that you love the most in the world say maybe tie between her and
my girlfriend do you ever cry in front of your girlfriend or do you went to I'm sure I've cried in front of her yeah what made you cry then you're making me have to dig deep on that one I'd love to take you around in the Himalayas I would love to meditate with and you in the mountain like Steve Jobs was big into that kind of stuff and so attributes a lot of his success to the culture here and that kind of thing so Barack Obama used to carry an idol of hanani so we pray
to him when we want motivation and strength Guru that Steve Jobs went to also prayed to this same da he take you to the exact place he went to ooh my theory about you is that can't get to this level of greatness without some element of self-doubt being a part of the mind you know I would invest Every penny in my bank account into a singular video and I would go all in you know and I would question like is this what I should be doing like are you happy in life oh that's a deep
[Music] question my intention with this podcast was to enter the heart of Mr Beast AKA Jimmy in order to understand the boy inside much better I'm a genuine believer in the fact that what you do in Your career is heavily determined by who you become as a man or as an adult but what drives the direction of your career is your own inner child's mind that's what I tried understanding through today's episode so whether you're a teenager a college student or someone around my age who's dealing with a bit of a quarter life crisis I
think this podcast has something for everyone it was a bit of a chaotic experience getting this podcast done because of Some trouble with syncing up our schedules but we got it done it's our first Dynamic podcast and what I mean by that is that it was partly shot in a vanity van partly shot in a car ride from a studio to Mumbai international airport it's one of the unforgettable podcast shooting experiences of my life I hope you're going to enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it and before I let you slip into this
podcast what I'll leave you with is a warning trust me do Not miss Beast games it's like on Amazon Prime video on the 19th of December we saw episode 1 if you think Mr BEAST's YouTube content is gripping and mindbending wait till you watch this show Beast games releases on December 19th but first enjoy this very heartfelt conversation with our boy Jimmy [Music] we got superheroes in the house today baby it's Mr Beast yes is that why you maybe wear these glasses yes sir can I Take it off yeah sure okay how are you I'm
great oh my gosh how's India been treating you this is your final gig yeah uh you had time constraints we had a pack schedule but we made it work yeah here we are jammed in an RV recording a podcast I I've heard a lot of great things about you Carri and all the other creators we were with spoke very highly and I was like I want to do a podcast and they just were like well this is the one and here we are thank you brother Did you like kri manar's video the parody the the
parody did on me how did your brain process it um I mean I thought it was funny and he obviously involved me uh in it and like um showed me it early on and so some of it to be honest I didn't fully get certain references cuz I don't I don't watch all the creators here in India so you know I just assumed if I knew who they were I'd probably find them funnier but like the gaming section I was I thought was Pretty good obviously uh the part he filmed with me in America I
thought it turned out pretty good um the intro was good I thought all around it was honestly it was very high effort and I was I was actually surprised how much effort he put into it because I was like man like are people really going to Care this much about a parody of me and I feel bad that car's putting this much time and money and I mean the shots are very crisp and beautiful and well Thought out that that's what people say about this guy called Mr Beast as well oh but but the car
one it's like yeah but then he posted and that thing went crazy I did not expect it I was like oh you know most people be like okay there's just a parody video about Mr Beast who cares but it like really crushed I think he did like 50 million views in seven days and um yeah I was just and and like so many people were were tweeting me about the video and Messaging me about it and it seemed like a big hit here in India that's why there's only one Gary minatti in this country yeah
and he's been the OG YouTuber since YouTube India began very few people are able to stick to the process I know you want to stick to it for like 20 to 30 years the guys that were here today these are the guys who going to carry the torch of YouTube forward so uh India loves long form creators that's why I think Indians have Love for Mr Beast as well but Jimmy mhm how's your brain been processing just being in India what have you learned about the country on a human level I feel very loved here
I really do like it's it's wild how much these people care like I've I've met multiple people like in the last 24 hours that like just saying hi to them like they just started crying and like like it just does that doesn't happen I mean it does happen in America but just not as much like They'll like freak out and they'll yell oh my God it's Mr Beast but like very rarely in America does someone just like break down crying but that like yeah it's that love I think that's the correct word I feel it
do you feel full of love on the inside well I just I feel like people are like our content are very passionate like me and it's yeah it's it's it's intense um but that aside um the the honestly the creators here are great um you know I've became Friends with Carrie a couple months ago when we filmed the clab uh when he came in our 50 YouTubers Cube got to know him then we did the clab video and we've just occasionally been chatting and talking he's super cool and then he introduced me to you and
a bunch of other creators here and yeah it's just great it's like a whole new world right I like obvious I know just about every English speaking Creator or a lot of the really big ones but you know it's like I Feel like every day I'm learning about a new cre uh channel in India that's getting like 10 million views of video 20 million views of video um and I met even today some a couple creat I didn't even know existed that are just killing it and um so it's been fun getting to know the
creators here met a couple uh people from Bollywood that they were super nice um who who did you meet well actually more important than that uh I met the chairman and CEO of te- did I Tell you that I was at banum yeah yeah BK I was at uh the T Ser HQ earlier today did you address it with buhan Kumar the sub War um you know we yeah we talked about it I mean he didn't have any ill will I don't have any ill will I think you know for it was just kind of
a fun thing but obviously our we have a lot more subscribers now it's not really a sub warar anymore you know what I mean so um he he's a hustler as well like if you Hung out with him he's very intense just like you yeah he seemed very intelligent and very passionate about what he does I think anyone who's seen any of your podcasts knows that you're a bit of a Cristiano Ronaldo mindset kind of person uh interesting most people usually say Kobe Bryant like the mom of mentality yeah yeah do you know what this
logo is so it's our Indian cricket team's logo okay have you heard of vard kohi of course i' I've been wanting to film with Vat for the longest time yeah yeah no that guy I mean I don't know much about Cricket or too much about him but I just know like people here worship Him and love him he's our Jordan like he's Michael Jordan of yeah and uh he's pretty much the biggest icon in the country right now do you think I could get him in a video yeah you you think he'd be down yes
bro if anyone's listening help help up out but by by the time this goes out uh my video on the 30th will go up of November did I tell you that I filmed a video of Cristiano Ronaldo I'm happy yeah s yeah yeah we we did the Su so we had a a person uh compete against Ronaldo for a million dollars and target practice in football we also had Tom Brady in the video um the number one American football player we had Noah ly the fastest man in the planet we had like Bryce har for
one of the best uh MLB players in the world like we had all these Superstar athletes Joey Chestnut Bryson Des Shambo and we did like these athletic challenges with like average everyday people versus World Class athletes to see who wins how do you think of all this wild Jimmy like I I know you've spoken about your process but I want to know what happens on the Inside Man where does that first idea drop in your head um I have a phenomenal team of people who you know are I used to obviously raw brainstorm everything all
day every day but now Some months especially with the uh Prime video show that we were talking about and and the YouTube channel some months I'm I'm filming 25 days 28 days a month so I a lot of things I used to do I just can't do anymore like even things like this you know like I'm not even counting this like the K Manina stuff we just shot in this podcast like in that 25 days of filming that's like 25 days of just like main Channel or the Amazon Show filming so I don't really have
much Time to to do like I used to brainstorm an hour a day because you know it's much easier to make one video like it's 50 million views instead of as I've always said 100 videos to get 500,000 views and so you know why work 10 hours on something that's can get uh you know 1% of the views where you can just spend an hour day on ideas blah blah get more views but now I've just kind of built a team that does it and then you know they help give me like the raw because
I work Really well off inspiration and they just give me the like a bunch of raw ideas and then I flip through them and you know like an hour a week and then I just I'm like oh that's good and I get inspired and come up with something like you know hey uh what was one they pitched recently like uh an idea on the sheet was like uh my uh neighbors house burndown so I bought him a mansion and I was like oh that's an interesting idea I don't want to do that um but and
then I Was like what if we did last leave mansion and we like bought a giant mansion put 10 people in it and it like and then last leave keeps it and like and the video potentially went a year you know what I mean like because usually we for these long distance videos we usually do like a 100 days now I want to start doing videos that are like a year long because I like no one's done that and I think that'd be cool to see like a longer term progression so Like that's an example
of like an idea about a mansion you know inspired me to want to do a different idea with the Mansion so I just like you know to take that kind of stuff in you know this is something I've always wondered about you from the time you appeared on Joe Rogan it's a very Indian thing to ask someone but what did you pray for when you were a kid did you pray at all did I pray um I was relatively religious growing up but not as much anymore um I hope to you Know I see people
who are very religious and they seem typically very uh Happy you know because they they have something that they look forward to and and it fulfills them and so I hope to find that one day but it's just like there's my definition of prayer isn't like asking God through a ritual it's about kind of having a conversation with the higher power yeah I mean I was praying every day to be a YouTuber I mean every I probably every hour when I Was growing up but were you were you praying to be Mr Beast like as
big as you are now I guess it would oscillate I because you don't like on certain days I was just praying I would you know get 10,000 views in the next month so I can afford to buy a microphone you know what I mean and then other days of course I'm like praying I want to be the biggest YouTuber to ever live on the face of the planet um but no for the most part at the start I was just trying to make Money because I my parents just we didn't have much money and um
when you know the financial crisis 2008 like it really screwed my family over because they're overleveraged on like um some properties and so we we went bankrupt we had literally nothing so like like it was a big deal when I was making a dollar a day back in the day off my my YouTube channel cuz like oh I just saved up for two months I can finally afford a microphone that doesn't sound Like you know um and so like yeah it's just it's a it's funny it's just a different world I mean I'm 26 you
know when I was 18 so what eight years ago I literally eight years ago I was raising my hand to ask to go use the bathroom you know what I mean like I would have to give permission to use the bath now I'm in charge of hundreds of employees and I entertain hundreds of millions of people it's like uh it's just like crazy how fast you know life changes you know Are you proud of yourself no not really I feel like there's we're just getting started I mean cuz I also in the same vein like
I'm going to be working till the day I die hopefully I live I mean hopefully I live to be 100 but even if I just live to be like 80 you know and I only really started you know figuring things out once I was like 20 so I've only technically had six like efficient years of work and I still have 54 left so like mathematically I haven't Accomplished a fraction what I accomplished in my life so no I'm I'm not really proud I just like want to keep going and like I feel like that that's
the kind of question ask me when I'm 50 and I'll have a different answer but I I feel like I'm just getting started yeah bro I'll give you some YouTuber perspectives Tech burner who you met yeah he is an entrepreneur in the YouTube India scene I look up to a lot I've started four businesses over The last8 nine years and all of us YouTuber entrepreneurs we look at you as a benchmark and you're younger than us and how old are you bro I'm like 31 I'm 93 holy you're about to die but it's that's all
the yoga that keeps me looking yeah you do young yeah uh but uh you're such an inspiration for us as well man like on from the other side of the globe yeah because YouTube also took time to get to India but you've really set that Benchmark and as A community we're proud of you so I always wonder how proud are your parents of you and how proud is your family of you you changed their lives as well and they know you better than anyone else yeah I sometimes wonder about the conversations your mom and dad
have with you well my mom uh is obviously incredibly proud I think she actually sent me a text like two days ago just like it's a long message but she's just like I'm so proud of what you Accomplished thank you for keeping me on the journey and not some not every son in your position would involve their mom and blah blah and it was like very heartfelt and I was like oh that's sweet she she loves it right because obviously you know um she has now more money than she would know what to do with
obviously I took care of my mom set her up make sure her mortgage is paid off that kind of stuff um so uh yeah I mean for my mom it's just like you know six years ago Eight I mean there's a time within the last decade where you know I she couldn't afford to buy me a car so I could drive around when I have my license she couldn't there's a lot of things we were saying no to that I really wanted because we just didn't have the money and there's there's a lot of like
struggle and some sometimes she was working two jobs like it was it was not easy for her so to go from that to the lifestyle now it's like I mean she's So wildly grateful and and happy and it's it's like it's cool to see like she invested you know 21 years of her life into making me who I am into raising me and you know I wasn't always the easiest to work with especially when I was younger I had horrible communication and and like I was very passionate about wanting to be a YouTuber um so
I wouldn't study in school I would like I would do this thing where I just put my backpack in my locker like I wouldn't Even bring books home or anything made my mom so mad she like want me to do homework I'm like I don't even have anything I don't have my books like I don't bring them home like I I literally didn't do homework like for an entire year I mean it was cuz I just didn't care um and it drove her mad and there was a lot of arguments and I I wasn't always
the best at articulating back when I was younger like I mean I don't even know how I would but I was just Kind of like Mom I just want to be a YouTuber and in her brain because she's grew up more traditionally get a degree get a job do this like that like me saying Mom I just want to be a YouTuber I don't care about homework is like the equivalent of going mom I want to be homeless and all the time you invested me is worthless because I'm going to die poor you know what
I mean and like that's how her brain interpreted the words I was saying and so it it's just Like very two completely different worlds that were constantly World Views constantly clashing between me and my mom when we were younger and yeah it was those that was not easy but you know she never gave up on me and you know we obviously figured it out but it was like because I love her and she loves me but it's just like this is just something I was so adamant about and so passion about that I was just
like I'm I'm sorry there's nothing you could say that would Change my mind um but you know as things started started to work she eventually came around to it and like when I got more money on a single brand deal one time than she was making an entire year that's when she was like okay I get it I see I she's like I trust you and she like fully backed off and ever since that day where she just was like I trust you Jimmy I I believe you know what you're doing and you're going to
figure it out it's been completely different Because it went from her being stressed and worried and all these things to like you know Jimmy Jimmy's got this and I'm just along for the ride she help helps me with a lot of stuff um early on she helped me build the business and stuff like that because when I was a teenager when I started hiring people I didn't know what I was doing um but now the biggest thing is you we OB we have like a lot of bank accounts because we move a lot of money
around to pay for our Videos and it's like someone at the end of the day has to be in control of the master account and the keys and things like that and make sure there's no fraudulent Behavior going on and like who else in the world can you trust besides your mom you know what I mean like anyone else that position i' I'd have to wake up and be like hm did someone steal money or someone siphoning money like I wouldn't know this is called a work parent and you have your Real parent to serve
as your work parent I guess yeah I mean she's put in her hours and and stuff but hopefully we get her out of there you know in the near future let her she's you know getting up there and just let her enjoy life and I don't know do whatever she wants is she the person that you love the most in the world ooh that's a hard one um I I would say I don't know if it's love I because the answer to that would have to Be my girlfriend I'm madly in love with my girlfriend
but I'd say my mom's the one I have just the most appreciation for the most admiration for the most respect for because again she poured I I mean I am who I am because of her you know what I mean and I wouldn't be the biggest YouTuber in the world if if I wasn't raised by her and and she didn't instill everything she did in me so I'd say I have a lot of adjectives but that one's that one's a hard one I get I Would say maybe tie between her and my girlfriend I hear
you do you have a vent or cry to your girlfriend do I ever cry in front of my girlfriend I'm sure I've cried in front of her yeah what made you cry oh this the the pressure of like all this um H man you're making me have to dig deep on that one what is something that made me cry in front of my girlfriend I'm is there some pressure on your heart because of being Jimmy oh yeah I mean a Lot yeah I mean i' in the last 90 days on just our main Channel I
think we've gotten um I think it's around like 630 million unique viewers so like if you look at that as a percentage of the entire planet that's like 78% of the humans alive have seen a main Channel Mr Beast video I mean thanks for the pist b and a way bigger series is coming your way guys we've seen episode one you are not ready for this yeah we'll talk about That bit but to wrap that point it's just like yeah a lot of people see me arguably like there's very few people on the planet whose
face is seen by as many humans as mine um and so it's yeah it is a lot of pressure it's a lot of stress and I employ hundreds of people and we do very incredibly stressful projects on a bi-weekly basis that you know I think anyone in the world would struggle to pull off what we do and I think people don't realize how hard it is like you Know like one of our recent videos we put two people in a bunker and if they lived in the bunker for 100 days they went half a million
dollars and like we legitimately had to dig a hole order a bunker put the bunker in the hole fill it back up build a tube up you then have to set deck the entire bunker is too floors everything you have to do all the safety the air filtration all that stuff then you have to put the money in you have to put all the mechanisms and you Know in that video we had like a buzzer and lights and things like that so we had to hardwire all that and then now you have to go in
you have to rig up 50 cameras and then you have to set up a storage server because you these 50 cameras are going to be recording basically 247 for 100 day straight you have to get the two contestants then you have to put the contestants in there then you have to have a medic on standby for 100 days you have to have production On standby for 100 days you have to have camera people there for 100 days you have to I have to then come there every couple of days and film with them and all
these things and then you have all these challenges that have like these like that's a we spent Millions upon millions of dollars making that video and that's a a video that you know months upon months upon months of work months upon months of filming you know probably a month or two of editing like That's like a massive undertaking and like and that's just one of you know I I don't think there's too many humans in history who've had to troubleshoot as much as you've had to troubleshoot in your career uh yeah I mean it's it's
it's not just troubleshooting it's it's troubleshooting across a different wide spectrum of problems because it's like one day you're trying to figure out how to bury a bunker the next you're trying to I mean I'm just trying to survive on An island because I'm doing seven days on a deserted island or I'm trying to figure out how to not get a blood clot because I'm bared alive for seven days like in a coffin and you're not moving and so because you're laying down and you could get blood clots in your feet um so I'm trying
to solve that and then the next day you know it's like oh we uh want to I mean we do a lot of hard things like the Beast game show that we were talking about that uh the based on When you post this your post this in mid December it's out it's on Prime video like that was uh I mean you tell them what you thought of episode one very very intense Mr Bastone steroids put some more steroids into that put that uh being into a Captain America machine that's what the show was and but
and some people might interpret that though as like oh we just spent more money just had bigger sets but it's not even just that it's like the storytelling yeah I I Waso body language is my game because of podcasting you were getting a little uncomfortable when the emotions were being showcased but you guys nailed it so well I was getting uncomfortable because I just I was I already knew what was happening and I was just wanting to see your guys' reaction but you nailed it yeah um I know we nailed it because with the intense
or or crazy twist happened you guys would multip like multiple people would go or they'd be Like what or on the funny moments you guys would all laugh at the same time which is good because it's like if you're making like like a audible reaction that that means the content's like really hitting you yeah bro I'm just getting to know your heart like in this that's my main mission here because I've had so many questions about you on a human level I just want to get to know you um when I asked you about what
you cried to your girlfriend about what I Sense is that every piece of decision making or troubleshooting puts some load on one's heart and brain and then it starts collecting it's like pressing the accelerator and Brake together mhm and sometimes you just need your girl to like vent to oh definitely I mean on on the venting well it's not even just vent it's also it's uh when I was single I just like my my method of of uh working was I would just if my eyes were open I was working and if they're closed I
was Dreaming about working um and that was just all I did but the problem is like eventually that stress and that uh all that just kind of catches up to you and and you just need to crash a little bit like we're we're not robots as much as I wish I was and I could just grind all the time make videos and entertain people eventually you have to like take a little bit of time off or you just go insane I it's like weird I don't know i' I've always tried to get around it but
I Can't and so like I those crashes would be pretty rough for me like if I went super hard like 15 16 hours a day for like eight or nine days in a row that 10th day I would like hit a wall and like IID wake up and just be like I like I feel like I'm losing my mind and then you know I'd Lo take like half a day off and then I'd be perfectly fine I'd go back to the Grind but the nice thing about having my girlfriend is like when I see her
at night it helps shut my Brain off and it's something that is not work rated that's actually fun and stimulating so I don't just default to work mode right CU like if I just throw a show on I'll usually just get bored and then start working but if I'm hanging out with her and watching a show it's a lot more easy to just relax and turn my brain off so I've noticed I don't crash as much when I have her around because it's easier to recharge if that makes sense what do you talk to About
uh I mean literally are you have a wife yeah like a serious girlfriend a serious girlfriend okay yeah how long have you been dating year and a half year and a half yeah I mean I'm sure you guys talk about literally everything I mean me and T are are incredibly close I mean quite literally everything I would say maybe the thing we talk about the most it's probably our dog we're always playing with our dog no YouTube discussions oh never oh really no that's That one part of your life where you do no I don't
I like after working 14 hours the last thing I want to do with my girlfriend is more work like I mean I'm sure obviously we'll uh I'll show her my videos and you know maybe we'll discuss like a newer video uh but it's probably like 2% of what I talked to her about is like YouTube related um it's yeah I mean it's a lot of just uh yeah now that I'm like thinking through it like we play we have a dog named Alfie We play with Alfie a ton we uh we have a Shea it's
really adorable um and then yeah we usually listen to podcasts or I want to get you guys on the carard we stop Midway we'll continue this in the car so Jimmy we get to have a nice chill conversation at this oh one second there's a little kid knocking out the side of the van but anyways don't worry about it how how's your brain processing India at this point on the way to the airp oh One second the kid's back hey um that basically sumped up my experience welcome to India thank you thank you um you
do know that we're super happy to have you right I can't imagine how many people have told you that already yeah I mean I Feel It by the amount of people banging on the side of my cars everywhere I drive okay we were speaking about your girlfriend yeah where were we I forgot Does it okay if you had 100% in terms of total brain bandwidth mhm how much of that bandwidth goes towards work probably 99.5% of it so and the remaining. five all also work I mean I I guess I mean I cuz what do
you consider brain power right like obviously sometimes I I'll watch shows that night with my girlfriend but I don't really consider that brain power that's just like me being a zombie and decompressing um but If I'm like actually thinking like my brain's actually on it's I mean I'm working you know yeah who who do you look up to in life you know one thing is it's hard to just blanketly pick one person because there's a lot of there's a I've gotten to the point where like no one's perfect right and so it's hard to say
like this is the person I want to be because everyone has their flaws and there's always things I don't like about Certain people so I found that I don't look up to people specifically I more look up to traits people have if that makes sense so like Elon is definitely not perfect I think that's pretty obvious to everyone who's open X at all you know he's saying some some days just B crazy stuff but um you know the his vision he has for his companies and the way he's you know pushes them to do things
that were just not even humanly possible or imaginable you know a decade Prior is like very admirable and that like is something I look up to it's like have you had a conversation with them uh yeah briefly at the Super Bowl uh we we passed I mean it was like 30 seconds not nothing of substance um if the Ice broke that day what would you have asked him honestly I would just want to know like I would love to just talk to him about Mars and like realistically you know talk to him for five hours
of like how does he see it happening over Playing out over the next 20 years you know getting us to Mars what do he actually think will happen and the timelines and that stuff he talks about it publicly but I'd love to hear his raw and filter brain on that and like the with everything he knows now and with like uh Starship you know starting to have some success and all these things starting to go really well for SpaceX like what is his most up to date like in my lifetime is SpaceX going to own
a Colony on Mars you know what I mean I think so to be honest like um and that's just so like name one thing that's more baddass than that that someone on Earth's currently doing you know what I mean he's literally going to create a colony on another planet that's crazy you know so I'd love to just hear him ramble about that why do I feel like there's a Mr Beast video about outer space already at this point no Comment that's probably a yes for me as a viewer because I'd expect you to think at
that scale right no comment okay cool are you happy in life oh that's a deep question TR personally I hate such introspective questions like that because you know to truly answer that I'd have to ponder so much stuff and like think on it and I like if you told me you were going to ask me that last night I could have like dreamt about it and like really thought About it because I don't ever stop and go am I happy so like to process that I have to process through everything you know what I mean
um I would say you know h no one's truly happy all day every day like you're not happy every day yeah so it comes and goes and waves um especially like when I'm doing seven days on a raft Seven Days bar live 7even days of solitary confinement seven days on a deserted island seven days in a cave like those kinds of videos which We've done a lot of in the last year no I'm not happy like those videos suck but the the suck because of what what you go through yeah oh yeah so difficult like
7 Days in solitary confinement was just just horrible absolutely horrible and S days on a deserted island the first time we tried to do that uh I slept on a beach and I woke up and I had like a thousand bug bites on both my legs and because of sand fleas I didn't know sand fleas were a thing and I just got Destroyed and so we had to call it off and so I ended up having to do that video twice right like that's how hard is the first time I couldn't even finish it and
it's like we flew all the way to Panama did all this prep and everything and then I didn't ended up calling it off and needing like days to recover from all the um but then I went back and I went back with the Vengeance CU I was pissed I didn't finish it the first time and I did it um but you know It's just hot and sunny and you know everything's difficult when you're on an island with not much help and there's bugs everywhere and it's just not you know it's it's beautiful but it's incredibly
difficult and I'm also not an outdoorsy kind of guy um solitary that one is all mental right I had food I wasn't going to starve I wasn't going to dive dehydration but mentally man it's like when you're in a white padded room you don't know what time it is and It's just you and your thoughts like and you don't have a pen well wait I did have a pen and I had a a book but you don't have um anyone to talk to you just you just kind of like 10 hours feels like 30 hours
and like when you think the seven days is up you're going to be on like day four four and then those next 3 days because in your head you already live the seven days are just like a nightmare and it feels like it never will end solitary confinement is Crazy yeah I have a lot of questions about your buried alive okay situation the first question is how did you poop because that's the top rated like I I've talked about this on podcast before so going into it I just didn't eat food like whatever the two
or three days coming into it so I didn't have much uh I didn't I basically like fasted and cleared out my bowels so there wasn't poop in me and then you just kind of um so then I didn't have to poop like the First four whatever five days I don't really remember and then I ended up having to do a one time and just poop in a bag and TI um bro I mean from everything you just said about all these challenges I think you sign up for these videos sometimes you know that you're going
to put your mind and body through some but you you willingly do it you get some Trauma from those experiences uh and that is the price you pay for a lot of your videos other than The actual price yeah agreed yeah the deeper question I have related to what I just said is in that Buried Alive video M I'm sure there's a lot of psychological that came to the surface in your head are you comfortable like talking about some of that 100% uh that video might have been like a year and a half ago though
so I I would struggle to recall specific things that popped in my head um but yeah I definitely when you're left alone with Just you and your mind you just you think of everything um and you run through every scenario you you you relive in your mind mentally all your high school days you relive when you're 1920 you just like because it's like what else do you do besides just go through life in your head and then you live out your forward life until you're 50 and it's just like it it gets pretty bad because
then like I sometimes get to this point where I'm like when I'm doing These 7-Day videos and I don't have much human interaction like I'll start thinking like whoa I can move my thumb like I'm just thinking move my thumb and I'm move and I'll start like just like the stupidest little things especially in solitary confinement just like I be like why why does my hand move when I tell it to move with my head and it's like what is it and it yeah and I noticed I just have like a lot of just uh
out there thoughts Because you're just so bored and you just yeah were there any thoughts related to long-term career and or self-doubt because my theory about you is that you can't get to this level of greatness without some element of self-doubt being a part of the mind um yeah I mean you're you're never 100% doubting or 100% optimistic obviously it's a pendulum I would say I lean way more on the optimistic side than most people and I'm like always we can we Will we must uh and we are but yeah there are occasionally moments not
as much anymore but on the come up where you know I would invest every penny in my bank account into a singular video and I would go all in and you know and I would question like is this what I should be doing like is am I being dumb is is this you know responsible I'm 19 I'm 20 I've never ran a business like am I hiring the right people am I am like is it you know like when I crossed 100 Employees for my YouTube channel that was a crazy thing I remember thinking like
man that's 100 people 100 people that have families that dep on me and my videos for a paycheck and my videos to pay them depend on this magical algorithm and that just you know I just assume at the time is just going to serve these videos to tens of millions of people and it's like assumptions on assumptions on assumptions is like what you have to get to to be like okay I'll Be able to pay these people consistently and and you I just always came back to I just have to have faith in myself and
I just got to believe that I'm going to figure out and problem solve and like being afraid of fail is just going to hinder me from my dreams you know because if I was worried about that I never would have hired as many people I never would have reinvested everything I never would have done a lot of the things I do which is Why I am where I am so on some deeper level there is a sense of deep confidence as well oh yeah I said you know more optimistic than pessimistic but yeah I've always
actually not always but I don't know what age it was but there's definitely a turning point where things started to really click for me on you like the first from like 11 to 16 there's not deep confidence like I was I remember nights like so I had a ceiling Like picture these lights but in America there's these ceilings with these little divots on them like white ceilings with little divots I don't know if that's just an American thing but I remember just laying in bed staring at my ceiling and some nights when I was like
14 15 I would literally like cry because I wanted to be a YouTuber so badly that it would get so emotional and I was like the fact that I wasn't at the you know now I would tell bro you're making Garbage videos like of course you weren't getting views you didn't deserve views I didn't understand that at the time and I just was like the algorithm doesn't want to serve my videos and you know it's just I'm being punished or whatever or I'm not making good enough videos I don't know how to make good videos
I don't know how to do these things and like but I wanted it so badly that it would like physically hurt like I would have such intense dreams about Wanting to be a YouTuber that like I would have chess paain like it would get so intense I wanted it so so badly it was it was like a very um I was very very hardcore I mean I still am but you still yeah but that like I don't know I guess I manifest in different ways but I had like very intense thoughts when I was like
in my mid- teens of just like I just remember like literally crying because I was like I'm going to figure this out and then a Week later I'd be like will I ever figure this out am I going to be 80 and still no one's watching my videos waste my life and then I'd be like but I'm not going to stop because I want it so badly and and yeah that was a thing for a little period like that I I'm now getting Deja Vu on like I would sometimes work myself up so much where
I'd be like I want it I want it when I was younger that like I want to be a YouTuber that I would like actually Physically feel it in my chest like I would get so amped up it was crazy man I wanted it so badly and here we are today baby I know febles Cheers Cheers Cheers YouTube channel and then and yeah the the show it's it's wild how it how it changes I I say it again bro you're setting The Benchmark for the global community so be proud of yourself and I know on
some level you are yeah of course I'm proud but I mean it's it's for the rest Of the community to just enjoy your game honestly like uh you only get to this level if you're eternally dissatisfied with what you're doing you know and like that's something my mom hates but I don't I don't celebrate wins that much I just kind of like I'm like there is no end to the destination there's for me there's not much to really celebrate like the goal is never ending it's just to be like make the best videos possible be
the best do entertain people and like That's a never-ending goal and I think it's important to you know like cuz a lot of people are like I want 10 million subscribers I want 20 million subscribers or 100,000 subscribers and they set these goals and they hit it and they're like now what what and that I think it's good to have these goals that are never ending but also directly like the better my videos are the more I'll achieve what I want to achieve in life and so these goals directly correlate to What I want to
achieve but there there is no Endo it's the journey you know and if the it's cliche but if the journey is not fun then you're never going to make it to this level you know because what what people see on my channel is 15 years of everything every dollar I made every brain fiber I have in my head every you know everything and that's what it takes over a long period I'm just enjoying the chocolate it's great chocolate yes how how about you How's life been you how long have you been doing this been doing
it for like 9 years okay um the thing is when you live in this country because of the wealth disparity and all that you grow up with that stuff you feel a certain sense of responsibility to society which I know you feel as well with everything you've done in terms of Charity and all that yeah but there's another layer of life that you feel in this country where you become deeply reflective like all these Questions I'm asking what happen is it's an outcome of having lived in India for like 30 years of my life M
you think a lot about life you have a lot of questions about life and uh you know I asked you about prayer I think in this country prayers are very central part of our lives and it's not praying to God in a religious place or anything it's just your own relationship with the Divine so for me I know at some point I'm going to step out of my material Chase yeah and P You that uh Journey to the Divine it's just while while you're still alive while I'm still alive yeah interesting yeah I have the
option to do that now financially but uh I'm not done in terms of societal impact and I really enjoy meeting different kinds of human beings yeah you wouldn't be able to drive to the airport with me while kids bang on the car door yeah yeah but I mean you know the podcast is the secondary experience yo the primary experience is To just meet a great Soul because I genuinely believe people like you are chosen from by the universe and the universe only chooses its purest souls to be at the Forefront in the way because bro
people know you on a worldwide scale you're experiencing a level of Fame that very few humans have ever experienced in human history so it doesn't just happen randomly and it it definitely doesn't just happen through hard work cuz there's a lot of Hardworking people out there but there's a deeper layer or at least that's how my country T me to think yeah I agree it's not just the hard work um but yeah I mean obviously I have uh success bias you know every successful person believes there's less luck involved than there was and um but
I think um if someone does work hard and intelligently because we all have if you're watching this access to the internet so you can basically learn anything there is on the Planet I don't see why someone who dedicates themselves assuming they're healthy and they have a functioning brain can't be uh successful in content creation or these kinds of things so I hear you and again I'm saying this not from a Content creation perspective if there's ever a day in your 40s or 50s where you really want to reflect I'd love to take you around in
the hpas oh can we go to like hang out box yeah that would be sick you want to yeah so that's All we do like B this show is actually primarily built upon conversations about like mord and that kind of stuff that would be awesome yeah if I could go like take a week off and go live and train like a monk and prey and all that stuff and that'd be like like detached from Tech and everything like that'd be a lot of there's a lot of secrets in the Indian mountains there's a lot to
see experience have you seen Doctor Strange uh well here and there yeah it's Loosely Based on some real Concepts that we have in India but the rest of the world doesn't know much about what are some of these secrets still bro I have a lot of neuroscientists friends because of the show yeah uh my girlfriend's oh really yeah I see why this works yeah anyway um your videos are super psychological also yeah she loves them that's yeah that's why I watch Mr Beast as a consumo uh to see how the contestants act in these bro
I I think uh life for me is about learning movement psychology it's why I've taken up this job it's why I don't want to switch away from podcast personally because I'm doing this out of my love for human psychology and yeah uh the human growth story I I feel like this isn't the final stage of evolution human beings are constantly going to evolve so there is an upcoming stage of evolution that will include neuralink like neuralink 100% Yeah but there's also a deeper form of human evolution that's happening in the brain uh I know they
just had a neuroscientist on the show today and they were talking about how they're researching on how like meditation initially feels like feels like how you felt in that but after a point once you're basically done with all your own negative thoughts that come to the surface it's your brain's mechanism to flush it out all your own insecurities Negativities once you're done after a point you're left with a lot of Stillness have you ever heard of Naval bro I've had him on the show oh really yeah yeah oh yeah yeah that's that's what Naval talks
about a lot and yeah he I he actually I listened to nval so much that I tried meditating and I never got to that point where things would stop rushing to my head and like I got that calmness which I know he's pretty adamant about and he would just say well Keep meditating you know don't give up but he yeah what you're saying reminds me a lot of him what I'm visualizing is me and you meditating in the mountains at some point it matters who you meditate with honestly but you believe that after you experience
it that'd be great I would love to meditate with monks and you in the mountains that like a lot like Steve Jobs was B to that kind of stuff and so and he attributes a lot of his success to the culture here and That kind of thing so I would love to just see what Steve saw we'll take you to the exact place he went to ooh is the is a what's what's the head M call the uh the the guru was NE Koli Baba it was a is he still alive no but it his
deed life no but you feel his presence okay no that sentence will be understood when you experience it I'm excited have you have you heard of I can't believe I'm doing this so in India we pray to a God who is uh the representative of strength And Barack Obama used to carry your an idol of us the God is Hanuman G so for us this is God in the same way that in Christianity they look at Jesus Christ as God it's the same thing for us we have different versions of God as well like different
images okay um but specifically in in sanatan or Hinduism we pray to him when we want motivation and strength and the guru that Steve Jobs went to also prayed to this same d and they say that Steve Jobs that's What's said in that asham it's called Kiam in it's in the north of India um they say that he regained inner strength and there's a lot of westerners who come specifically to the Asam to regain Inner Strength but honestly I mean on a very practical basis when you're left with the Stillness like when you meditate or
you have these experiences you let go of like the negative stuff you're left with Stillness and the Stillness becomes a base for creativity to enter So you will go away from the mountains with Hyper creative thoughts you'll want to go back to work yeah but but a very different perspective you'll unlock some higher dimension for sure I I wish I didn't have to leave I wish we could do this tomorrow no bro don't worry about it like this is not the last time you're coming to India for sure yeah I mean now I'm definitely dang
to to train in the same place Steve did yeah that would be Awesome yeah that be so cool are we going to do drugs like Steve did kidding I don't do drugs I can I can show you some breathing techniques that might make you feel okay like the whm Hoffman stuff something like that like the whim Hoff stuff a lot of it uh is there in Indian culture as well uh he's taken it and like evolved it even further but uh yeah there's a lot of experiences in India waiting for you let's do it something
will shift yeah okay how about We play a game to amp you up Jimmy boy and I say Indian celebrity what's the name that comes to your head car manat when I say Indian icon what's the name that comes to your head beer biceps boom I was hoping you say vard kohi cuz he's my icon when I say the word I mean if he's in a video sure but you know we'll get him in a video okay okay you got the connects yeah okay um what have you heard of vard basically um I so I've
heard that truthfully he makes a ton of Money which shocker uh he's one of the biggest Instagram accounts um ever I I've heard that he's a mega star here um phenomenal Cricket player I don't know how to play cricket I just I don't play baseball yeah you'll pick up on Cricket if you enjoy baseball okay well so I would play cricket here but it's hot as balls here and I don't ever want to go outside in India unless I'm forced to Mountain with the monks we play cricket okay when we go on top of the
mountains Is it cooler yeah sign me up get me out of here it is way too hot um Kansas with but it's like all the stere stuff like that I haven't heard anything in dep what what should I know bro he revolutionized Cricket he brought Fitness to the Sport fitness wasn't a mainstream thing in cricket because you don't need to be the fittest guy to play cricket really he changed the game uh and he's the one great Indian cricketer there's a bunch of them there's like a Mount Rush Mo of Indian cricket there's Sunil gawar
sjar vat kohi but of the three of them and there's also couple DAV another critic uh of the four of them he's the one who played the branding and business game the best so uh he launched his own Brands uh made really business savvy moves uh has one of the biggest Instagram accounts in the world yeah like 300 million followers yeah uh but in India we appreciate a family man we appreciate someone who old School we appreciate someone who's spiritual and he's all those things so he's honestly like the idol for all of us kind
of like what LeBron James do in America you know does the right thing does charity all that yeah uh but imagine LeBron James with a little more fire and I I follow basketball closely more fire like that would be Michael Jordan but you don't necessarily but Michael Jordan wasn't as uh homely yeah exactly yeah goie is Michael Jordan but Also homely which makes him like one of the best Brands and in terms of just sport what sport do you follow in America uh basketball yeah I mean I just watched Steph Curry shoot threes that's basically
what I do bro so imagine I mean I can't think of a closer uh comparison than Michael Jordan honestly he is our Michael Jordan he revolutionized the game or in terms of after Jordan you never thought someone would exceed him and I don't think Anyone I love LeBron I'm a huge LeBron fan I mean LeBron's obviously scored more points but he has less championships he's lost more blah blah blah blah blah so I mean it's been debated until the end of time yeah um but uh I feel like verat Koh has gone ahead of his
pre pred he's probably the greatest cricketer of all time how old is he 88 born so 36 now he he's in his final rung but because he stayed that fit very Ronaldo esque he's going to Play a little more and we anticipate he'll play into his 40s there's also a captain Rohit Sharma I think a great comparison would be Steph Curry very technical blessed also an outcome of hard work and a very relaxed guy yeah but he's our captain and we won the World Cup because of him so you guys won the last World Cup
yeah we won the last World Cup did you guys go crazy when that happened happiest day for every indan that's awesome yeah what do you Think your India audience would want to know about America right because I assume most people watching or most people in India have never gone to America never will yeah so what what what do they want to know what are some stereotypes what are some stereotypes oh yeah stereotypes anything the stereotypes are party culture America our understanding of America comes from WWE often oh my go every Indian guy watches WWE yeah
so a lot of the things That WWE represents which intensity um it represents a lot of good things as well creativity vukan was a creative guy yeah um really good branding really good marketing little more sexualized culture like Indians are a little old school uh party but also you guys know how to grow your careers India is in a very aspirational phas all the young people here want good careers and uh we all look towards America the kind of Coach us indirectly yeah so we need coaching What do you where do you see the uh
India economy 10 years for now do you bro going to be booming yeah yeah for sure I think so as well cuz the Virat Koh mindset has spread across the youth and he was known as that guy who gave it back to the Australians we back to the British so that spread across like a whole generation and everyone's a gogetto so even with the YouTubers like I'm personally trying to start my Global game much more intensely I'm going to be Touring UK us all that and I feel that's an outcome of me growing up watching
verat kohi seeing him go one step ahead of the pre I mean based on your observation what what's your advice for India because I know you're a very observant guy bro yeah so what's your advice for people in India watching this yeah people India watching this Indian creators I would say try to you know um it's it will take many Many years to achieve what you want and try to predict where the world will be in 5 years not necessarily where it will be now um you know and like just really don't be afraid to
think outside the box it's like when I was first blowing up this kind of genre that I do with these big spectacles they weren't a thing and if you asked anyone you know six years ago seven years ago they said there no one would ever be making videos YouTube videos the scale that's not how YouTube works but I just really believed in reinvesting and scaling up and that we you know we could and so it's just like I think you know right now when I some India creators you know when I talk to them they're
complain about their CPM they don't make much money and and it's like uh their ad rates are low because obviously people in India don't make as much as you know uh USA um but the thing is like will that be the case 5 years from now will that be the case 10 years From now I think you know um I think the opportunity to generate revenue is just going to keep growing and growing and growing here and it's going to become more and more lucrative and you just like you know if you're a Creator you
just need to keep honing your skills and like um and stay on top of things which audience do you enjoy catering to from a Global Perspective I mean I'm biased cuz I'm in India right now India to be honest like Yeah just like we were talking about before I feel really loved here now and I feel connected with a lot of the creators and so yeah I feel kind of at home in India almost so uh I would say this is outside of the US this is the audience i' would love to pamper the most
yeah who do you think will be the first Creator in India to hit 100 million subscribers daddy Manti really yeah okay uh because I think there's no one else Who does entertainment that way everyone else is even more indianized okay I think of all of them he has the best chance uh and with his four videos a year six videos a year what does he do maybe he lamp it up maybe he'll get an animation bro I would I would love to try aiming for 100 million but see that's the thing I'm next to an
American brother you're putting that thought in my head it's not a thought I have in head well it's a vanity metric so that's Where I wouldn't I wouldn't make that your goal like cuz I I mean I want to appeal to the world that's my goal so maybe I maybe I'll elect myself for appealing to the world for you it's just dubs and international guests like me you know just have people that are relevant around the world yeah honestly I just want to leave the world a happier and more peaceful place that's the actual goal
behind the content I think the core of this conversation is about Your mindset I've learned about you even more deeply I'm grateful for your time brother I'm grateful for all the work you do I wish you even more love and success I wish you much more peace many more ideas and something tells me I'm going to see you in the mountains at some point oh 100% thank you for having me can I can I do a a oh the d The Double dab Shake get you a beer grow your biceps we'll see you later thank
you my man really appreciate it yep You're a special Soul bro had a blast creating this one didn't get as much time as I'd like to get with Jimmy couldn't go as deep as I wanted to go in this one but what I know is that Jimmy's going to be back in India we're going to be going to the Himalayas going to have longer more extended more peaceful conversations about life and mental health and the health of one's heart absolutely enjoyed just meeting this human being in real life and absolutely Enjoyed bringing it to you
