the my Sims cozy bundle just released for the Nintendo switch yesterday and I realized that a lot of you probably don't care about this at all but for me this is a massive deal this thing they're calling the Cozy bundle is a remaster and re-release of two old my Sims games the original My Sims from 2007 and also My Sims Kingdom from 2008 and while these my Sims games are Sims games because they're made by The Sims team they're not really Sims games in the sense that you're used to these are spin-off games that honestly
have a lot more in common with things like Animal Crossing than the Sims 4 it's not a life Sim it's more of like a quest based Story game you'll do a lot of collecting and crafting and there is some designing that goes on just keep in mind this is a kids console game from 2007 so it's not like the most detailed thing in the world and this bundle is a re-release they've tried to improve the graphics a little bit they fixed the UI and they also obviously made it run on switch but these are not
new games they didn't really change or add anything from the original releases they're selling this cozy bundle for 40 US but keep in mind it does come with two games a lot of games like this cost about $20 so it's not a bad price to pay about $20 each it's just kind of annoying that you have to buy them both you can't buy just one these games are really different from The Sims so I will not encourage you to run out and buy these straight away if you've never played My Sims before I think they're
really playing off of nostalgia with this release because people like me are obsessed with my Sims My Sims Kingdom was my first ever Sims game I played this before I ever ever played real Sims and so I have so many fond memories of My Sims Kingdom I'm almost like so blinded by Nostalgia that I'm going to have a hard time giving you a fair review of that game I streamed it last night and I ended up playing for like 5 hours and I'm going to play again later today I was near tears at certain points
just because of the sound effects like I am having so much fun playing this I just don't know if you would have that same level of fun if you hadn't played it before I will be making a review on each of these I just haven't gotten to it yet cuz it's going to take me like 30 hours each gameplay and the games came out less than 24 hours ago I'll link my twitch and also my second Channel Down Below because that's where I'm uploading all of my my kingdom content and on this channel we're going
to play through my Sims together I have actually never played My Sims I only played My Sims Kingdom so this is going to be kind of a new experience for me I have made a couple videos playing My Sims for the PC as an adult but I never played the console game and of course I haven't played this new remastered version cuz it only came out yesterday and hopefully this video is helpful to you in decid deciding whether or not you want to buy this I think it'll be nice for you to see a little
bit of the gameplay and get more of an idea for what it is and what it comes with cuz again it could not be more different from regular Sims this is a completely different experience it still has that like Sims energy to it there's going to be like freezer bunnies and grilled cheese references you'll probably recognize a lot of these characters if you play The Sims for you may have seen those little my Sims figurines as a collection in the base game also a couple of the towy households are based on my Sims s characters
but if the only game you play is the Sims 4 I cannot emphasize enough how much you probably won't like this so just give it a try we'll see how it goes my town is a stupid name I'm going to call it simsville okay I'm ready hi there I'm mayor Rosaline P Marshall I'd like to tell you the story of my town if you'd spare a minute it's a pretty unique town to tell you the truth this is how simsville used to be full of life personality and happy Sims everything in the town was so
unique and suited the many different interests of the Sims who lived here this was all thanks to a special resident who had the power to use Essences to build all sorts of great things but one day the famous builder of cville mysteriously left nobody knows where he went but the town began to change Sim started to move away my cat just showed up but from what I hear there's somebody else who has the ability to build with Essences apparently they're coming here to simsville to help us out I hear they might even be coming in
on the next train I wonder what they look like and then it jumps us into Kat Sim so keep in mind it's 2007 and I don't think that they improved this much I was disappointed in the skin tone selection in My Sims Kingdom yeah there's like basically no swatches I was kind of hoping they would improve that in the re-release clearly they have not I don't think they added new hairstyle options or anything either I think it's the same as it was before but it just looks slightly less bad than it used to this is
the one that I made for my other character so I think I might use this again I think I also use these eyes before for my other character and my favorite mouth is this one with the little teeth so I think I shall look like this I don't know what hair color I want to use I think I might just stick to Brown you know what is so wild there's three swatches in this little picture and there are three swatches in game like that is the entire skin tone range I do not think that was
a good idea I think they really should have improved upon that I can have layered face paints oh my gosh should I pick the Band-Aid I think that's kind of cute maybe I'll pick the blush oh I do kind of love this outfit there are a lot of cute ones in this game the mys kingdom ones are less cute I will admit that the my's Kingdom ones look a little bit worse oh that's adorable I don't know what I want to wear ah get me out it's also annoying cuz you can't really like jump between
the outfits so if you pass one it's kind of just like too bad for you you'll see as we play that the controls are not so intuitive it took me some getting used to last night when I was streaming my's Kingdom oh my god there are so many outfits it's still going okay we're back in the beginning I think I might wear this no this I'm going to wear this okay I can also pick glasses if I want to I don't know if I should I think I wore those heart glasses before what if I
wore these the pink is kind of good genuinely unironically those are so cool those are so fun maybe I won't wear glasses I can also pick my voice I want a really annoying voice okay I'll pick that one one thing I do like is that this is not gendered at all like you just get a blank slate and then you decorate the character you don't have to pick anything it's not binary like the other Sims games are My Sims Kingdom was I did have to pick so that's a bonus for this one so so far
okay as we're starting this it does look very similar to the my Sims for PC that we just played like the graphics don't even look that much better of course it is the same game still so the game is going to be the same but I thought maybe it would look a little bit more improved than this hello Roselin she looks like she could be my mom doesn't she we kind of look the same well if it isn't Kayla welcome to simsville we're so glad you decided to come here and help rebuild the town okay
I've been asked to fill out a resident registration form so here you go first things first I'm sure you're tired let's get you settle into your new home follow me I will gladly take a free house well this is simsville as you can see it's a little bit rund down and there aren't too many people living here that's where you come in I know you'll be building it back up to its formal glory in no time let's go check out your house oh okay that guy is a mess honestly you'll see what oh no there's
no house here how embarrassing well you're a good Builder so let's try building it now okay this is like the tutorial mode of build mode by the way this is your workspace for your house you can stack blocks here up to two stories high okay one amazing thing about this is that by default it wants me to build a blue Suburban like the default stuff in this game is very blue Suburban coated this is what it's given me to start with you actually could not get more blue Suburban than this so I I do feel
right at home I change the size of it by accident oh God this is going to really take some getting used to I wonder if I could put like a little smaller section on the house right there cuz that could be kind of cute okay but you can kind of see how this is customizable to an extent it's not really like the Sims 4 if you're wanting to play a building game this probably is not the one for you I tried to put dormers on the roof but I think it looks kind of silly maybe
I shouldn't have done that can I put it up high you can change the color of your house in paint mode no I will be keeping my blue Suburban thank you very much I'm not changing it I will get a gnome I might also get this little thing okay let me get some windows in the back and then we can be done all right I'm finished blue ribon complete wow that's quite a house you really are a talented Builder I hear your real talent is using Essences though not just anybody can do that okay I'm
being brought to the Garden to see the Essences in action look it's townies the ground looks so weird here's some red apple Essences you can plant them in the ground to make more red apple trees so back in the day I used to play My Sims Kingdom on my Wii and when I did that cuz the Wii controls were totally different right you had like motion controls with the Wii and in that game when you wanted to Shake The Apple Tree you had to like take it and physically shake your controller to harvest things I
assume that regular My Sims was the same I collected 10 apples okay good let's get back and see the mayor if I don't get lost at least there's a map that helps I'm really bad with directions you'll see soon I have like no innate sense of direction in my head we built you a workshop okay let's go see it okay I think she might have lied again oh dear not again looks like we get to build a workshop too ha we built you a workshop she says okay well this can be a little bit smaller
and more simple what the heck okay I got a workshop sign I put a light and I guess I can have Windows on the other sides although that light is definitely definitely a little bit big to be hung right there this looks like the kind of thing that maybe should be two stories but it's fine I'm not worried about it the light's as big as me okay this is my workspace this is where we have to build stuff this is where it gets a little bit more puzzly this is something I also found very difficult
when I was playing this on PC I thought the controls were like really annoying to use how do you flip them oh my God this is different than my s's Kingdom why oh I do not like this at all I know it looks really simple I'm finding this very annoying come on place okay got it done well done let's go drop it off in your house oh great now I got to walk with her again okay I'm being asked by the mayor to craft her a Podium so I got to go out and get myself
some more apples so we can do it because you know that makes perfect sense crafting wooden furniture out of apples guys I'm lost wait no this way hold on oh we're fine can you not jump up oh I can no it's magic the stuff in this game is Magic that's why you use apples to craft these things I know that I'm just making jokes okay we should have plenty of them then I also got some extras while I was there let me come back around this way and we'll get to our Workshop let's work on
a task for mayor Roslin thankfully this one is just a stack of blocks it was very easy to build okay I'm going to paint it real quick for her cuz she wanted me to paint it four times this is the interest Wheel by adding apples to the podium you've made it tastier Sims that like tasty things will like the object more okay am I done I hope so okay I'm going to go bring it back to her give stuff I've got her Podium I assume that it's meant to go like right here in front of
these chairs so I will place it there for her oh Kayla it's perfect you're welcome I got a special chair blueprint of hers and a potted plant to decorate my house okay so far all I have in there is that chair that I built earlier okay we can check on Poppy and see if she needs help in the flower shop I'll do that next I take it that this is the flower shop I'm getting a sense that maybe that's correct hello oh she looks upset can you make me a flower stand I'm running out of
room for my pretty flowers I can do that look at this I have to just be nice to her to get happy and then I can use them to craft want do it again wow okay thank you bye I guess I'll go craft it for you I like her little shop it's got some cute things you know what else I find the camera in this game to be like a little bit disorienting and and almost a little bit nauseating when I try to use it I wish that they would have improved that when they remastered
this game too okay oh this is kind of an interesting item I feel like this is different from what I built when I played the PC version am I making that up oh that's lovely okay done was I supposed to paint that oh wait I think I was supposed to paint that yeah can I edit something edit an item okay edit oh my gosh that's so cute I only had enough to paint that much of it oh ow that's sad I'll give it to her anyway she might be asleep oh no she's just sitting there
okay give stuff I built you this lovely flower stand that actually looks kind of bad here hope you like it I don't know where I should put it oh she has a bunch of them kind of over here so I'll put this one right there that seems good it doesn't look as bad as I thought it would okay she gave me a table blueprint sleep until day yeah I'll do that I thought I had to go home and use my bed I will happily use the bench well speaking of home I have a new plant
so I want to put that inside I placed this little chair that I made earlier but as you can see I have a potted plant so I'll put that in my kitchen wow we're really getting somewhere with this it looks great I think I'll go talk to somebody else maybe I'll come in here into the hotel and see what they need hey buddy hi app pal how come no one will visit our great Hotel I can almost guarantee I won't drop their luggage above I guess no one trusts a clumsy Bell hop oh yeah I
heard you were going to help poppy with her flower shop that's good news I'm pretty sure that flowers is something that Poppy likes oh do I need to help her more what more does the girl need oh she does need more my bad you've always wanted a bed oh that would that would be good I think we just need two of those flowers to make it so I can go do that I already have them only problem is I'm lost again I'm so bad about getting around here here we go it's really not hard to
find your way around I'm just bad okay that's one is this really all you have to do just a bunch of those together okay oh and then this piece also okay done that's pretty cute this little room she has back here is not very good but I guess I can just put the bed in the corner for her I can't wait to go to sleep surrounded by such cute flowers I feel tired already okay she gave me a flower stand blueprint and my town has reached our level one mayor roin has authorized us to use
the Crowbar so we can break through boarded up areas we might find around town and we got some more blueprints okay the higher our Star level rating gets the more people will want to move here I bet if you work with really hard you can make simsville a festar town again okay let's go check with Buddy Chef Gino I'm acting surprised as if I didn't already play this on the PC version just like a couple months ago Chef Gino is a star though when the Sims 4 first came out I used to put Chef Gino's
Little My Sims trophy in every single one of my kitchen builds I don't really do that anymore but I used to do it non-stop that might have to do with the Sims 4 having like no Decor in the base game like 8 years ago so we were uh desperate we were making do with what we had hey Gino do you want to move in with me if you build me a restaurant I can bring my world famous pizza to your town I can do that I'll wait here while you build me an Italian restaurant okay
well let's go to any unoccupied lot and we'll build them a restaurant I think just part of the Town Square would be fine so we can put it right here all my favorite buildings all together in one place okay I think when I built this in my last save I built pretty much exactly what I'm about to build right now so for that I apologize but look like isn't this kind of cute I might get some lights on the side of the building too okay done you're welcome Gino it actually looks good oh my God
look at the tables in here dance wait can I really do that too it's so dumb I love it okay let's see do you need anything the restaurant is wonderful I can't wait to get cooking ask me to do something for you what do you want you're doing flips that's amazing can I do it what I just sit there and he gets to flip that's so unfair who are you oh he's got a plumbob hat hey sport I've always liked this place you know could use a few more restaurants though I'm hungry okay thanks for
living that Chef Guy and can't wait to get me some pizza do you have any other tasks for me or no is that like it I'm going to bully him I poked him I got angry okay I guess maybe now would be a good time to explore a little bit more cuz we haven't really gone around the town that much I've just been back and forth with my workshop like we haven't been over here at all I don't think I can get past this yet maybe when I have the right tool I'm going to be
honest My Sims Kingdom blows this game out of the water this one's not even close to being as fun of course you have to buy them both if you want to play one of them but My Sims Kingdom is more fun is that biased though like is that coming from me being obsessed with My Sims Kingdom as a kid oh I forgot about prospecting look at this this is so funny this is how you can get some like extra materials oh I got a chest thank you but it's basically like a mini game that has
you running around listening to the sounds on the ground and when it gets loud enough you can dig and you get stuff like purple crayons okay I'll stop you know we haven't been in here yet should I go in there and see what they want oh wow interesting home you've got here a it's good to be here in simsville I like to find a dark quiet corner to relax in when my kids sister gets overwhelming I get it my sister's 19 now but I get it I don't mind if no one lives here I like
this Solitude hey I could just stop upgrading the town if you want I'm good with that Violet you can plant certain Essences in gardens to grow trees okay I'll plant another tree we haven't been in here yet either let me come say hi Oh this one's cute I like this little kitchen this is kind of giving meat wall if you played The Sims 4 you know what I'm talking about he's eating spaghetti that's meatball not meat wall that's so funny after I just said meat wall oh Kayla it's horrible I need a bed can you
get one for me yeah it's not even a task he just asked for one boo I can do it though anything from my meat wall neighbor create a new item let's make a bed thankfully these beds are very easy to craft he's got a big apple theme going on in his house so I might paint it like this or no no no what if I paint it like this that matches everything okay are you even in here still he left after all that work I just went into oh my god oh he's back that was
so weird okay I got you a gift gift stuff I would say that maybe this room could be his bedroom it's very annoying to decorate but I'll give you that there he didn't even thank me I just talked to him he didn't even thank me he said so you want to fix up the town huh yeah but not for no reason you have to be nice to me about it fish oh my gosh I'll fish oh wait I'm confused it's different than my S Kingdom how do I do this okay when I see bubbles move
this to it two rainbow trout that was easy okay clown fish okay yet again I think that My Sims Kingdom is better this one's not as fun tires okay I'll stop I got a few things I don't actually need any of those right now I'm not doing anything I actually need to do I'm just running around oh I can plant something here oh let's put a flower tree oh that's lovely okay I'm going to sleep until day again cuz I don't want to be out here in the dark it scares me oh wow I guess
I can chop down these old trees too and replant them yeah that's an improvement already this is going to look so much better when those grow let me see if Chef Gino wants anything from me yet yes he does does does it involve fish by any chance no pizza oven we need Stone and apples I might even have enough stuff to do that already yeah I do have enough stuff to do that already okay let's just go make it straight away oh this one is a little bit more complicated okay we got all of those
legs built oh I said it was complicated in hindsight this is not really actually complicated at all except it doesn't want to place this in the right spot is that the wrong size block oh no it's not okay that's all also kind of interesting item here I need one of those things and last but certainly not least I need this thing and then I can just paint it I think I needed like four pieces of stone or something so I'll do that and then I'll paint the legs with apples this is so ugly honestly like

need a sink a stove and a fridge okay I can do that well that means we have to go get working I think I need to get more apples and I also need to do more of the prospecting to get some more Stone only problem is I don't remember where it is I think it was by the train station right okay oh here maybe I should plant an apple right here I don't really know how long it take to grow I imagine that it can't be that long there's not really a sense of time in
this game I think I needed like 20 pieces or something so this is going to be a little bit eight ball okay that's not Stone crayons that's not Stone either there we go finally I'm going to need a lot more than just eight pieces though okay I got 23 pieces of stone so far so I think I might just get a couple more and then we can be done I'm finding this game a little bit annoying to navigate and also it's making me feel a bit sick with the camera so I'm trying to minimize moving
around if I can okay 26 that's got to be enough for now right oh they're having a picnic right there that's so cute can I join you I can oh well that's a waste of my time I got stuff I need to be doing is that bacon ew I'm not happy about that I have 20 apples was that enough I'm not sure well let's just go and see I'm going to my workshop work on a task Chef Gino oh that's plenty I just got way more than I needed I think I want to start with

to place those ready come here one two okay honestly I don't really even know if I like doing this okay that's the fridge done I got to paint it with five apples and two stones I might even use an extra one just cuz I kind of like that and maybe I'll paint maybe I'll do stone at the base okay that one's done looks a lot worse than I thought it would but it's done here's the oven oh this one adds like bonus surprises to it that's nice I was worried cuz some of the other ones
are very simple and I thought this one was going to just be plain but it's not as bad as I thought wait how am I supposed to paint this with this much stuff it doesn't even have that many pieces oh wait I could probably paint I could probably paint the tops I bet I can paint them extra hold on edit an item that fridge looks so ugly oh jeez I don't even think I like this game I'm sorry oh no you can't I thought maybe I could paint these but no so that's how you make
the sink it's like two pieces also I wonder if I can just add pieces to it cuz if I can add pieces then I can paint it okay doing that because it needs five apples and three stone but there's not even that many pieces if you know how to play this game you're probably judging me for this you're like this girl has no idea what she's talking about and that's true I have no idea what I'm doing I'm about to rage quit a kids game yeah that worked okay that sink can be done I'll do
the same thing to the stove you don't even want to know how long I've spent on this I think I'm done let me see if I can finish the task oh my god I've never seen something so ugly it looks horrible why have they done this to me I'm sorry I'm so sorry now that's a kitchen no it's not he gave me a pizza decorative okay well at least I got that oh oh my God he got sprayed in the face with water he deserved it well let me go back to my house real quick
I kind of want to put this pizza decorative up let's see what all we've gotten and then I think I might call it for today and we can sort of discuss how we're feeling about this look pizza I'll put it on my table wow that takes at the whole table I'm glad I like it okay well that's kind of an introduction into my Sims let me save my game real quick so you kind of see what I mean by it being a little bit weird a kids game and also super different from The Sims this
couldn't be more different from The Sims I don't really feel comfortable giving like a review for the Cozy bundle yet cuz in total I've probably played it for about 7 hours and there's a lot more than 7 hours of gameplay in this in this video we barely scratched the surface I I basically played the tutorial and then a little bit past it there are so many characters and places to expand to there's probably like 20 plus hours of gameplay for this game alone not even counting My Sims Kingdom In My Sims Kingdom there's like 10
islands and I've gotten to about three of them and I played for 5 hours so there is a lot of gameplay I just don't really know how to or if I should recommend it to you because I don't know if you're going to like this if you've never played My Sims before you might find this really strange and like not have any interest in it if you are like me and you played My Sims a ton as a kid you're probably really excited about this so I'll be curious to hear what your thoughts are in
