She's just coming out of nowhere from consciousness and creating a whole big universe for him. For him. And he is witnessing, he is looking, he's enjoying her creation. It's just like how men and women are supposed to be. She creates a whole big beautiful family for him, and he enjoys that family. A man cannot live without looking at his wife and his children and the whole creation. He cannot live. Similarly, a woman feels Very incomplete. As long as, until the point that you realize the Shiva and the Shakti together inside you, if you realize the
Shiva and Shakti together inside you, then you are Ardhanareśhwar, and you will see your own witnessing, you will be your own witness. But for normal people who are on the process, the completion happens when there is a perfect partnering. And it doesn't happen normally because of ignorance. We are all ignorant. Anu liptangan raktapushpayi supujitam. Bhaktanu kampinam devam jagatkaranam achutam. Avibhutam chashistayadav prakrte purushat param. So very, very good evening. The silence that you feel after the chants, you know, the absolute silence that you feel in Your heart, the peace that you feel in your heart. This is the peace and this is the silence that was there at the onset of creation, when creation happened. We're going to talk a
little about creation because we're talking about the Shakti. We are talking about the Adipara Shakti, which is the beginning point of that fountain of creation. She's at the beginning point, at the sprout, you know, where creation begins. So this silence was what was there in the universe. Before anything was there, There was nothing. No human beings, no trees, nothing was there. Just this silence, this pulsating silence, this Shiva. We call it he. We say that God was there, and he was just pulsating. But helplessly, I think, because Shakti was not there. The potential energy and
the presence of consciousness, undivided universal consciousness, is not capable of producing or creating without creating first the para shakti. The shakti has to Start as a vibration, as a spandhan from within consciousness. Kinetic energy has to start coming out, And then creation starts happening. So when we talk about Adiparashakti, we are talking about this massive, fathomless energy that is sprouting out of no space, nothing, which is there. She's just sprouting and coming out, oozing out and beginning a process of creation. So she is consciousness itself. She is consciousness itself because the entire power of consciousness
Is there with her. The Entire power of consciousness is there with her. The fathomless, unbelievable, and infinite potential of the consciousness is brought into manifestation by her. It cannot manifest, it cannot come into a reality without her. That is Adipara Shakti. I have 3 days with all of you which is such a beautiful offering, Nilima ji. These 3 days I would love to talk about her because we are all, you know, chosen by the Goddesses to be here in the Shakti Kumbh. And Shakti Kumbh is a tilak on the Devi. It is a tilak on
the Devi, so we would be talking about the goddess. These 3 days, very progressively, we'll talk about her, how the creation happens to begin with. And then tomorrow, we will talk about the Parashakti and Aparshakti, about Aditi and Diti, and a little about the story and a little about science, you know, behind the symbolism, behind the stories. We'll talk about that tomorrow. And day after tomorrow, we'll talk about The Iccha Shakti, Jnana Shakti and Karma Shakti, the manifestation process, and how these 3 shaktis are constantly working inside of you, inside of me. And the more
you become conscious, the more they dance together. The more you become conscious, and the more you align these 3 together, they dance into a beautiful symphony inside us. Beautiful synchronized dance. And can we do it consciously is what we will hear about and learn about on the third day. So Today we talk about creation because she is there at that point where creation is beginning. When consciousness decides to play this game, it wants to create and it wants to play the game. It wants to witness and see the power. It is His power. Parashakti is
the power of consciousness itself. So Adi Shakti, when the vibration and when the Spandan starts happening, she is released out of the void. She's released out of the void and absolute fathomless kaleidoscope of Possibilities, absolute fathomless possibilities. She comes out as a fountain of fathomless possibilities but it begins with some basic fundamental constructive steps. What are these steps? The first thing that this vibration, when she starts vibrating and when there is this nada that you hear, what happens when consciousness, you know, begins this pandan and begins this creation of the shakti? There is a nada
that is released. There is a sound that is released. The Sound of the Shiva and the Shakti together, the sound of the consciousness and energy together, the sound of the consciousness bringing out this fullest potential of the Shakti out. The sound is the Omkara that you hear, the Pranava that you hear. It is released. And it is like a indication, like a signal to the whole space, empty space that here she's coming, here she's aroused and she's coming and here she's going to create something fantastic, unbelievable. It's Unbelievable. You and me are unbelievable creations of
God. It's so, I mean, at a minutest level when you think about how are we breathing automatically? How is the food going in getting digested? How am I blinking automatically? How is my heart beating automatically? We are not consciously involved in anything but it's all happening. Everything is happening. All organs are independently functioning as if they have a Shakti sitting inside and functioning. We are only involved in Stupid things. Our ego is only involved in stupid things outside and we think we are body managing and finance managing and work managing. Things are happening. I always
say that under the folds of doing, There is a beautiful and a certain way of happening. It looks like we are doing, but there is a sure, short process of happening. Look at your own body and you will understand it. You eat different things, supplements and food and this and That, and you think you are keeping healthy. You will be healthy if you have to be healthy and even if you're eating supplements, if you have to fall sick, you fall sick. So there is automated something inside and Shakti is responsible for all of that, inside
of us and outside of us. Look at the galactic picture. You have all the planets floating up there. You have all the stars, millions of the stars. It's all floating up there. Nothing is falling Down. The Earth is going around. And there's a set speed. And there's a speed velocity. Absolute set everything to the point perfect. Who's doing it? It's unimaginable, this power that we're talking about is not just that small little triangle that I and you can wear in our neck It's not just that it's beyond our imagination and comprehension this Adi Shakti Parashakti
first creates The gunas, You know, the 3 gunas are created first. The Adhipara Shakti Creates the 3 gunas, the Sattva, Raja, and Tamas. These are the basic ingredients with which nature was created. And she creates the 3 forms that she comes out with. We'll talk more about this on the third day, because it's a number 3. We'll talk more about the gunas on the third day. But she comes out with these gunas first. The basic ingredients with which everything is created. Everything is created with these 3 gunas because from these 3 gunas the elements were
also created. From these 3 gunas, even the elements were created. And the elements, the pancha bhutas, the 5 elements that we talk about, they go through a process called panchikaran. Panchikaran is a Vedantic term. They go through something like a mutation. Cellular mutation, how does it happen? They go through something like that. And with this Panchikaran, each element comes into a gross form and creates the gross Bodies of all that you see around in the world. Our gross bodies, the tangible world that you see, the physical world that you see happens through the process of
panchikaran. Who does this panchikaran? What an intelligent mutation equation. You know the tamo guna of each of the elements combines with, you know, certain proportions. Say for instance, akasha, you know, 50% of akasha and the rest of the 50% is divided with all the other elements. And it makes a molecule Of akasha, a physical tangible molecule of Akasha, which you can see, which you can feel. The Earth, the air, the fire, all of this goes through this process of mutation, and the physical world is created. Amazing. And whatever is created now, you are there, I
am there, we all are there, the trees, the animals, all of us have these 3 gunas in us, number 1, all of us have these 3 gunas in, even the most saintly person on the earth will have these 3 gunas. So there will be sattva, there will be rajas, there will be tamas. Minimum amount of tamas will be there in every human being even if he becomes enlightened. This is the rule of nature. The prarashakti creates these 3 Gunas and they are there as constituent basic constituents in all of us consequently the pancha butas Consequently
the pancha butas because that's what the body is made of that's what our organs are made of that's what the whole system is made Of And then she herself flows into our system as prana. She herself flows into our system as prana. And when I'm talking about she herself flows in my system as prana, does not mean me alone. Millions of people, millions of beings, insects, small little insects, viruses, everybody, everything has got prana in them. So your body, you know, our body is made of these 3 things that are predominantly working. A, consciousness, which
is the he. She, the prana. And the matter, that is the Panchamahabhutas. We are all made up only these 3 things. So when we die, what happens when we die? The soul goes out, that means the consciousness goes out. The energy also follows. Shiva and Shiva leaves, even Shakti leaves. When Shiva leaves the body, Shiva is the Brahman or the consciousness inside. He stays deep into our heart chamber, deep into the hridaya, into that small space inside our body. It's the centric point. It doesn't mean that Shiva is not here, not here, Not here. He's
there everywhere. Consciousness is there everywhere in the body, but the centric point is in the Riddhe. You know, that centric point of consciousness is in the Riddhe. That's the activation point there. And so, Shiva is there when he leaves the body, Shakti also leaves the body. Then what is left behind is only matter. Just the matter. So, we burn the body or we bury the body because there's nothing left there now. The prana has left. The soul has left. So We are all made of only these 3 things. When we understand the functions of how
the Shakti works in the universe, you will respect your body. You will respect your life. You will value your life. And you will treat every moment of your life with so much of deep reverence and love because she's functioning in you. I'm very conscious when I'm functioning, when I'm moving around. I feel that there's a goddess in me and I treat her with love. I don't abuse my body, I don't abuse my Mind, I don't let wrong things come in my hand, in my head. So I feel I have to treat her with lot of
love and reverence. When you become aware and when you get initiated, I say these talks are initiations. You are chosen, blessed to be here, to be initiated to this thought of living life, that each moment of your life, you're carrying the Devi in you. You're carrying the Shiva in you. Can you and should you entreat yourself in any way? Can you and should you entreat Anyone in any way because there's a Shiva and Devi everywhere? Right, so when you understand Adipara Shakti you understand that she is at the at the beginning of creation And the
creation is her it's like fanning. She's fanning into you know, splitting into various beautiful facets of energy, various beautiful facets of energy, and she carries the power of consciousness in everything that she functions. She carries consciousness, does not penetrate consciousness, does Not penetrate without her. It's almost like a beautiful romantic relationship between consciousness and energy. Like Shiva and Shakti, if you understand, what a beautiful romance he is and she's becoming he is and she's flowing he's following and without him she couldn't be because she sprouted from him and without her he can't do anything it's
such a beautiful couple It's such a beautiful understanding of the he and she concept. I feel that when you understand this, Then you understand that I wish human beings could understand this ethos and could live perfect marriages and perfect unisons. If you understand the Shiva and the Shakti concept and you understand how they work, it's an inspiration, it's an indication how human beings should be living, how 2 people should be living. 1 stands like a mountain and other flows like a river. You know, 1 is the power. The Gangaji is born to the Gangotri. She's
just coming out of the mountain From nowhere. You know, from a point nowhere. And then with this, she's flowing and she's creating a civilization. She's creating a whole big civilization. That's how Adi Shakti is. She's just coming out of nowhere from consciousness and creating a whole big universe for him. For him. And he is witnessing. He is looking. He is enjoying her creation. It's just like how men and women are supposed to be. She creates a whole big beautiful family for him and he Enjoys that family. A man cannot live without looking at his wife
and his children and the whole creation. He cannot live. Similarly, a woman feels very incomplete. As long as, until the point that you realize the Shiva and the Shakti together inside you, if you realize the Shiva and Shakti together inside you, then you are Ardhanareśhvar and you will see your own witnessing, you will be your own witness. But for normal people who are on the process, The Completion happens when there is a perfect partnering. And it doesn't happen normally because of ignorance. We are all ignorant. You know, when there is ignorance, then the perfect partnering
does not happen. And that's why all spiritual teachers, all spiritual gurus and mentors tell you to invoke the Shiva and Shakti within. When you invoke the Shiva and Shakti within, then there is no looking outside. There's no looking outside. You come in that completion Within you. You find that support system and the Shiva, mountainous Shiva and the flowing Shakti within you. You realize both of these within you. So Adiparashakti first creates the gunas, then the elements are created. When the elements were created, then the entire physical, tangible world appeared. And then, you know, this whole
hierarchical society, the whole hierarchical universe, not society, the whole hierarchical universe was created. That means the Consciousness element or the soul element went through different stages of evolution and process to create more and more, better and better, better and better beings which like was endless. Even today you see the children who are born today, they are so intelligent, they are so highly evolved, small little children. You see a just born child opening the eyes and seeing the hands, whereas 40 years back children wouldn't open their eyes for the first day or Wouldn't know how to
pick up their hand and look at the hand, but the, you know, you can, it's evident, the evolution is evident and who's doing this? This is happening with the energy and this is happening with this whole shivanshakti, you know, creating more and more, more and more, more and more. Even the advancement, the physical advancement that you see, technological advancement, who is doing this? You think human brain has any capability? Human brain has no Capability. It's just a machine. It's just a machine. The capability is downloading from an unseen parameter, from an unseen realm. When you
get bored, just like how children get bored with old toys and the parent buys a new toy. OK, you can play for another 6 months with this now. In the same way, technology is downloaded, you know, in human brains to create more and more, more and more, and there's excitement. Oh, this is coming now. The S24 is coming, and the iPhone, This, this, this is coming. And there is excitement and exuberance for all the technological they at the grossest level. At the subtler level also concepts you see people talking about minimalism and you see people
talking about mindfulness and New concepts are coming every time for us to think about newly for us to you know the organic living the The vegan living and all of these concepts that are coming evolving. Where are they coming from? Who's giving us these ideas? This Adi para Shakti that is 24 by 7 functional, is processing. Tomorrow we'll talk about Apara and Para Shakti. I'll talk more about how this process actually happens. Yeah, but today to just to get a list of what we're going to do in the next 2 days, you know, I would
love you to just think about when you go back to your rooms, just think about, oh my God, everything is so automatically happening And why am I so stressed about doing things? Why am I so stressed about doing Things? Why am I so stressed about what's going to happen? Why am I so stressed about what are the steps I need to take? Why am I so stressed about how things need to be planned. So the tool that nature gives us, and nature is what? Nature is Adi Shakti and the Shiva principle. The tools that are
given to us to keep us busy, to keep us busy, is this constant thought process, the mind and the constant thought process. We are constantly given challenges, we are Constantly given riddles, coins. Spiritual people are given coins and riddles and ignorant people who are still on the ladder of evolution and battling with their own identities. They are given challenges, worldly challenges. These challenges keep us busy. And the energy and Shiva are watching over us. They're watching over us. They are the doers, they're actually playing a game and we think we are doing everything. We think
that, ahankar vimudhatma karta hamiti Manyate. Ahankar vimudhatma means the, when the ego is riding then we think we are the doers. I have to do this, I have to do this, I have to do this. So we constantly get busy with this thought of I have to do this, I have to do this. Whereas they're watching. When you meditate, when you meditate, you can really feel the power of the shatbi and the power of the consciousness. When you meditate and when you just be with your breath, when you Just be with your breath, or you
just be with naad, we'll do a small session to understand more deeply what I'm talking about. When you just be, when you meditate, that's why meditation is very important because when you meditate, you just be with your breath. At that time, you're not thinking about how many things you have to do. We just leave everything, just leave everything as it is and for 15-20 minutes, half an hour, 45 minutes, you just be with your breath. Being with The breath is akin to being with the Shakti Because she's flowing in our body as the prana. She's
flowing in our body as the prana. There is no testimony required for that. She is flowing in your body as energy, as breath, as energy. She is making the food go down. She is digesting. The panchapranas in your body are manifestations of the Devi. Panchapranas in your body, that which is breathing, making you breathe, that which is creating the digestive fuel, that Which is, you know, creating this beautiful aura that you have, the magnetic field that you have, that which helps you to communicate with each other. How could you hear otherwise what the other person
is saying? That which makes you think, that which makes you speak, that which makes you hear. All your senses are working with the prana. If the energy was not there, it would be just a body. It would be just a body. Without energy there's nothing. So she manifests, You know, and creates this whole complexity of functions. And the more you understand her, you know, the more you understand her, the more you understand that it's just automatically happening. So when you meditate and when you focus on your breath or just feel your breath, you get to
be with her. All the seers and all the rishis have said that the worship of goddess energy, the understanding of goddess first and then the worship of Goddess, the reverence. And when I mean Worship, I don't mean any rules and regulations. When I mean worship, I mean love. When you truly love her, when you truly love her, you can truly love only when you truly understand her. You know, when you understand her and when you truly love her then the doorway to consciousness opens automatically. She is the key to go into the enlightenment immediately. You
know that's why Shakti is a very profound path. Shakti is a very profound path because it's a direct Doorway to entering into enlightenment and liberation, moksha. The conditioned consciousness, tomorrow we talk about the upper shakti and how the causal works and how, you know, there is energy that works through a destiny layer. And we talk about that tomorrow about how, you know, and how 1 can transcend that and come into, into, into pure energy and pure consciousness. We will talk about that tomorrow. So this whole process of creation is sprouting from the Adipara Shakti. We
call her Kali, sometimes we call her Devi. Different traditions call her with different names. You know, there's only 1 Devi and there's only 1 Shiva. You know, there's only 1 Devi and there's only 1 Shiva. There's only 1 consciousness and there's only 1 moving part of consciousness that is Devi. So all the names in different traditions of the world are nothing but synonyms. They are synonyms and they are probably giving the different colors of the Devi that can And there can be millions of them. There can be millions of them. In India itself we have
hundreds of goddesses. Hundreds of goddesses, you know, right From the Mahavidya tradition to the Navadurga traditions to, you know, there are these Grama devatas and so many different devis are there, so many different traditions are there, all of them sprout from her, the 1 source of energy that is para shakti. They're all coming from her. And it happens, creation is happening as a Play, as a game. Why why should we understand? I feel that where is the need for us to understand the science When you go out of this hall and when you go out
back into your homes, and then you're back into the same Routine and you're back into the same everyday issues problems, you know the family issues the maids and staff issues and then the office issues and you're back into there and you wonder, is this world really true or is that world really true? When you're Here, you have forgotten everything and you feel at the core of your being. You feel as if you're at the core of your being and you're trying to really understand yourself. So how does this study or this explanation or this understanding
help you in your that life? When you understand the science thoroughly, then you're able to participate in the game that God is playing with you in a sportsman spirit You don't take things too seriously You Take them seriously to the point of your dharma and to the point of your karma and to the point of what needs to be done but you don't let things pierce through your heart and take them so seriously that you feel paralyzed with every calamity of life. You understand it's a game and you will not die unless she wants you
to die. We will not die unless she wants you to die. So you take things lightly, take things in a sportsman's spirit and you Understand that she and he are playing The game and I am not there Let them play and let them do what they want to do The I which is a very bloated big thing That you live 24 by 7 you understand the I the personality that I am the doer of everything in my life. This I will take a back seat. They say that the study of consciousness itself and the energy,
it gives birth to witnessing consciousness. Witnessing consciousness is like you learn how to look at life from a distance. You learn how to create a Distance between what's happening and this is me. A little distance so that you're not slammed into it or you're not pushed into it. This safe distance between what is happening and here is me, in this safe distance you are able to invoke peace, you're able to invoke the right decision, the right action, and you're able to invoke or rather see what's happening from a distance. You are there in that scene
but you create a distance and from this distance you are Able to be stationed in her, in the energy, in the consciousness. We say you are able to be entrenched or hinged into consciousness. You don't lose bearings of who you are. You don't lose bearings of who you are, right? So Adi Shakti or Parashakti, invocation into your body and the constant reminder of how she is there with you all the time. How does 1 do this? How does 1 do this? The easiest method is to practice nada. The easiest method, they say, is to practice
nada. Nada is the chanting of Aum. If you practice the chanting of Aum, because that is the sound from which beginning, nature was beginning, from where creation started. The practice of Nāda helps you to activate the Shakti inside you and helps you to remain with consciousness. It's equivalent to meditating. It's just equivalent to meditating in terms of energy. When we meditate, what happens when you meditate? What happens when you meditate? What is the science of Meditation? Meditation means you're stilling your body first. At the gross level, you're stilling your body. Then you're keeping your focus
on something. Either you focus your eyes somewhere or you're focusing on your breath or you're focusing on a mantra or you're just not thinking and you're just being there as if you've just pressed a pause button and you're in a standstill. What happens when you do this? The energy which is moving in great speed in your body slows down. It slows down. The more you meditate, the more you sit in the stillness, it slows down and it loops back into consciousness. The energy which sprouted out of consciousness goes back into consciousness. In those moments when
you're meditating, it slows down and comes in close proximity of the consciousness. And that is when meditation happens. Which means if you slow down, if you slow down in your energy when you're closing your eyes, Meditation happens. As long as the energy is moving, the mind is working, the head is working, meditation does not happen. Alright? So because we find it difficult to meditate, many of us find it difficult to meditate, the practice of nada helps you to activate and purify the energy system. A, it helps you to meditate. You can do a 5, 10
minutes of nada and then sit down, and you'll feel the silence very easily. Very very easily. All right? So we'll do a small session. We'll do a Small session, a 10:15 minute session. 5 minutes of naada and 10 minutes of meditation. Okay? All right. So, with your spine straight, you can have, so feet on the ground because you're sitting on the chair. Feet on the ground. Try to keep your spine straight. Eyes closed. Your hands can rest on your thighs. So when we're doing the OM chanting, you know, it's normally an exhalation that comes out
with Aum. Okay? It's normally an exhalation that comes out with Aum. I Will start chanting and you can join me, You know, in the same rhythm you can join me. Aum Aum Aum Aum Aum Aum. Aum. Aum. Om Om Om Everyone Om Om Everyone, Om Om OM OM OM OM Aum. Aum. Aum. Keep both your hands on your heart now. Deep gratitude and deep realization deep gratitude and deep realization of this beautiful no thought, no mind space. Take Your attention again to the center of the heart where you saw yourself sitting in the light. Visualize
beautiful goddesses here in this point coming out from that 1 point that was sitting there, so many goddesses coming out and coming outward from this lighted space and disappearing into the darkness of your heart. All these goddesses, the various forms of goddesses that come out and sprout out from that 1 center, from that 1 Shiva, They go and spread all over in your body And take their positions in parts of your body functioning as powers functioning as important powers that run your whole system flawlessly. Deep gratitude for this beautiful vision, Deep gratitude to all our
teachers and masters and deep reverence for the divine goddess who resides in us. May she shower and bless us with light, with abundance, and with deep knowing of Herself in us. Wipe your face, cover your Eyes and then open them. That was beautiful, that was nice, very peaceful, very peaceful. Participates in this creation and how you are involved in all her actions. How you are involved, and how we misunderstand her doing as our doing, and how we get lipped and completely soaked in ignorance because of our wrong understanding. It's very important to understand functions of
our body, functions of our mind, functions of our intellect, and the function of the Energy in us to be able to appreciate and surrender to this divine power. Misconceptions and ignorance makes us the doer. And the doer is always sick. It's always sick. You know, when we think, if I think I'm the doer, then I'm always at fault. And I'm always in a blame game, either with myself or someone else. I'm either blaming myself or I'm blaming someone else. And when you understand the process of happening, and when you understand how things are created out
of Nothing, and how these projections are actually swirling energy. How it's swirling and creating. When you understand the science of it, then you're just happily watching all the events of your life. Just Happily watching all the events of your life. Just happily watching all the events of your life and happily participating in what is being offered to you as a game. It's a divine game. You're playing the game. And you can be angry, but you understand still That it's a game. You can be sad, but you understand still that it's a game. And if you
play and live life in this spirit, then she will be always showing herself to you in all the forms and facets. What a beautiful experience she narrated to me when you went to the Matramandir today. The Saraswati was revealing herself everywhere. On the pathway, on the different places that you were going. It's when you activate her inside that you see her outside. And to be able to Activate her inside, you have to understand her. You have to understand the different facets, Right? So I would love to answer any questions that any 1 of you have.
Yes. How do you enter into relationship with the 1? Can you give us your personal practice? Yes. Yes. You know, when you understand the science of everything, then you want to know what can I do? You know, what can I do to be able to be 1 with her and to Keep her invoked in me? Because you get fragmented with your mind outside and you're lost all the time outside in all the everyday situations. How do you keep her alive in your breath all the time? There has to be sadhana. There has to be a
everyday sadhana and everyday time spent with her. Everyday time spent with her. Any facet of her, because she is 1. There aren't 2 mothers. There's just 1 mother. But she's taking different forms. She's wearing different saris, and she's Wearing different clothes, and she's wearing different dresses. Her complexion is varying from being absolutely fair to absolutely dark and yet she's so beautiful, you know, all the facets. So whatever you align with, whatever form of goddess you align with, you must choose either a picture or an idol or an icon that represents her to begin with, because
your brain does not understand the formless so easily. It will take time for you to reach to the formless. It will Take time for you to reach to the formless acceptance of her 24 by 7. So when we are babies on the path of worship and devotion, then an icon is important. And japa or doing rosaries you know with mala, take on a japa, very simple Devi mantra. You know the best part about Devi invocations is that there are bijakshars, there are bija mantras. Bija mantras are so simple and they are, you know, full of
the entire potential energy of the Devi. You can choose even bija mantras if you Don't relate, culturally, if you don't relate to, you know, doing Sanskrit mantras, you can take a bija mantras. And these bija mantras are available, you know, everywhere. And you don't need to be formally initiated to start doing, you know, these mantras. You can sit and do it with love. There is a precondition to doing sadhana, according to me. And that is you should be in love. It's very important to be in love with that power. And there is an intense seeking
to know You. I want to know what is God, I want to know what is her, I want to go and see her. That intense seeking when it is there in the heart and when there is love Without any fear, without any fear, there is no mother on Earth which is going to reprimand you. When you're trying to love her or trying to worship her or trying to come closer to her or trying to get in touch with her, this mother will never reprimand you for all the silly mistakes you do in your sadhana. It's
okay. She Will train you. She will train you. So the beginning steps are meditation and Drapa. Meditation and Drapa regularly, at least out of the 24 hours, 1 hour of practice should be dedicated to knowing her and seeking to be with her. Knowing her and seeking to be with her. So this 1 hour of practice could be split into a little meditation, a little japa. Maybe sit and sing there, hum there, sit and do a little naad there, read out something beautiful for her, open conversations With her, Open conversations with her. In that conversation it's
just you and her. It's just you and her. Don't bring any third person for advice, how should I talk to her? There's not, it's not required. When you're sitting with the divine, it's just you and the divine. It's just you and the divine and talk to her. We call this a process of upasana. In India, we call this a process of upasana. Upasana is up-a-sana. That means you take the second seat and the first Seat she's sitting. Let her sit on the higher seat. You sit on the lower seat, and you have a te-te with
her. Talk to her about every day. And this ideally should be done in the evening, but you can do it in the morning also. Evening, because you've gone through a tough day. Let's say you're working in the corporate, you're working, you're a business person, you're going through all the high tides and the low tides in business. It was a tough day for you. Evening, just unwind completely and surrender everything at a feet. Put your head down. There are physical movements which are important as a part of your expression. If you're sitting like this, you feel
like an idiot and you look like an idiot. But if you, you know, move your hands, you give her a kiss or you put your head down on the ground, you know, you touch her feet. You know what I mean? Physical expressions are like mudras. They are like dance mudras where there is Feeling flowing with what you're doing. So relax and let go of that rigidity and talk with expressions and develop this habit of sitting with her every day. A little in meditation, a little in conversation, a little reading something. If you can't read the
Sanskrit stotras, read English poetry. I would love to read an English romantic poem for her. My Romance with God. Every Hindi film song which a hero sings for the heroine can be dedicated to God. You just imagine in Your head that I'm singing this for him or her, and you find a lot of sense there. Ma, you heard my question, which is in the Sufi tradition, This 1 is called the beloved. Yes. So it's not necessarily experienced as the mother, but the lover. Yes. So if I'm a woman, I can experience that as a complementary
masculine energy, for example. So can you speak to that or in Mother and child? Yeah, in my experience what I have understood of the human nature, there is always a hollow we have, all of us have in our horoscope charts. We always have an empty house somewhere. That means that there is always an empty space in everyone's life. Some people have an empty space for parents. Some people have an empty space for a lover. There's no companion or there's no husband or there's no wife, you know, or child, you Know, the human psyche, examine yourself
and understand which is this painful spot in you. That spot has been kept empty purposely for you to fill it up with God. Wow. It's been kept purposely empty for you to fill it up with God. So for someone who's craving for a child, God can be the child that you love. People make their child their God. The small little Gopala, you know, they dress up the child and similarly, majority of the population is Having companionship issues and relationship issues where we realize through the journey of life that it is redundant and futile to look
for a perfect relationship in this world And that perfection is found only when you relate to God. And when you understand that He is the Divine Lover and the only Lover. And when you learn to dissolve in this Lover, then there's only the Lover and you are lost. You dissolve completely. That is what the Sufi idea is About. That you dissolve your ego completely in the love of the lover. And he is there and then you see the whole brahman, all the Brahman is shown to you. So in Indian tradition, we have, that's why so
many gods and goddesses, choose the 1 that's close to your psyche and choose the 1 that will replace that hollow, that will create a substitute for the hollow in your life. For instance, I shared a wedded relationship with Ganesha. I do everything for him. And I Call it a wedded relationship because I truly feel that he's the 1 that's providing everything to me. I'm being looked after, loved, sent on travel, sent on beautiful locations. I mean, that idea of what you have of a husband or a wedded partner, all of those things are being provided
for, then he is my wedded person, Finish. Similarly, you're young and you're looking for romance, try to find love. And you will, what happens from Dvait to Advait the story is. When You're looking for all of this completion outside, even if it is in an idol or a god or a goddess, eventually if your ego truly manages to dissolve in that, you come in the advaitic truth, that means you understand that lover is me and in me. The lover is in me and it is me. I'm the 1 which is flowing with love. You come
into that Advaitic, it's the apex of a triangle, of a pyramid, of a mountain, you know, where you're going around, round about with different styles of Devotion and different styles of worship. And you're searching and you're exploring and you're experimenting, eventually coming closer and closer to the tip. And when you come to the apex you come into the realization of the lover in you. So yes of course the 1 is not gendered right? The 1 is neither male nor female and yet we also say it is the mother because it's the source. Yes, that's true
because you know the what we call genderless is consciousness. All right. But the movement is a feminine energy. The movement in consciousness is a feminine energy. That's why it's important to address her as a mother. He cannot move, she moves. It's important to address her as a mother, because she is triggering all the movements in our body and every cell is vibrating with her energy. So the divine shakti, whether We have men here and women here, whether it's a man talking or a woman talking, we are talking about the mother. So gender Is in our
head, but the qualities of a mother, let's say, Is there in that divine 1 mother? The movement cannot happen without the feminine aspect of consciousness. She's the feminine aspect of consciousness. So it's important that the creation entirely has to be taken. It's just like in a home, it's the woman. We say that she is the creator of this home. We never say the man has created that home at a very gross level, you know. So it's the mother who is creating Everything everywhere. She is bringing in the energy of the consciousness, but she is the
1. And that's why devotion, worship, and dedication to the Divine Mother, you know, is the easiest pathway for emancipation and liberation. And what is emancipation and liberation? I'm not talking about liberation from rebirthing or no, I'm talking about liberating yourself from you, yourself. Liberation from your own mind, liberation from the hassles of life, liberation from all the Hiccups and vagaries of life, liberating from unhappiness and being in eternal bliss and happiness. Because in bliss and happiness, you truly come in alignment with her? I have 2 questions. Can we call it mother-father? That's a fair question.
Because in many cultures as well, it's 1, mother-father, but it's the mother-father. So it's not just a mother. It's not just a father is the mother father. So that's 1. The other 1 is I Travel a lot around the world and so many people have issues with 1 when we say we are 1. Because most people don't get it. I mean, they have 5 fingers, it's not 1 finger, it's 5, and then if it's 20. So I wonder if there is a way to call it many instead of 1 call it many So is this
can we can we extend through Shakti? 1 into many That we can 1 in order to play with the unconsciousness of the number 1. Because the more we repeat that we are 1, we separate more because people don't Understand. So we might be 1 of the conscious level, but at the material level, we are many. So I was just reflecting and you can give us some tips. Yeah, it's coexistence. In India, we have a concept of Vaishwanara. Vaishwanara is like, imagine that the whole universe is like 1 human body. All right. And we are all
cells in this human body. We are all cells in this human body. We are living together, this coexistence. And each of us, by choice of our soul and destiny we Have chosen some part of this Vaishvanara. Some of us are in the feet of the of the universal being, some of us are in the eyes, some of us like me I live in the heart of the Vaishvanara, I love to be in the heart and some live in the anus also and there are people who live in the hands, they are working all the time,
so we are all cells and we are moving, All of us are moving, like cells are moving all the time. So the whole idea about we are 1 comes when you look At this Vaishvanara from a distance, then we understand that we are just 1 and a part of this, this Nara, this, this being. And when we are in the Vaishvanara, then I am seeing so many other cells and then I am in that multiplicity of my own understanding. So it's all about distancing yourself and watching, witnessing. That's why I say it's like a pyramid.
You know, when you, or pyramid or the more easier analogy I always use in the classes, that of, you Know, when you're flying in an aeroplane, when you're going in an aeroplane, when you look out from the window and you look at the landscape below slowly the houses are disappearing, the green patches are disappearing and slowly you're in the clouds and there's nothing there. There's nothing down there. Whereas when you were down there below There were cars and there were roads and there were men and there were buildings and there was so much chaos You
know, so when you look at This whole creation from a distance from a height There is only love peace and grace. There's no noise. There are no human beings. There's nothing You know, so we are we are 1 when we look at ourselves from a distance, but we are fragmented and many when we are in it. On the ground floor, there is chaos and there is lateral thinking. From the first floor you can be a little detached and can talk to everyone. From the fifth floor you can just see, smile, wave and From the 10th
floor you need not look at anybody at all. In the sense of the more you distance yourself in your awareness, the more 1 you become. And the more you are in it at the ground level, you are splitting. So it's actually a projection of light from your consciousness, which goes as a laser beam initially, where there's 1 point of creation and there is no multiplicity there. But when it goes and expands into a whole big ray of light, spectrum of light, then there is Fragmenting and there is multiplicity. So they say that we all have
the freedom to go to that center every day. 1190 01:59:57,340 --> 01:00:00,700 go to that center every day. Imagine you're going to the 10th floor, the 100th floor of your building and looking at life from there. Your children are playing, your husband is there, all the people are there, they're all shouting, but you have nothing to do with it. You're on the 100th floor. And enjoy the scene from there. You have that freedom to go into your heart center every day And take this visual. It helps you to discord and detach with all that is,
and it helps you to come into the oneness of all that is. Am I making sense? Okay. Am I making sense? The corollary to that though ma is, is it sometimes called spiritual bypassing nowadays in modern terms or it's called dissociation. So what's the difference between the 2? What you're describing and what would be spiritual bypassing spiritual bypassing to the modern words? They all come from the West most of the time, and they still talk about the gross and the subtler level, but never the causal level, never the deeper level. You know, the Western psychology
or the, it's still rooted in what is physical and what is mental, but not beyond that. You know, whereas Vedanta, you know, talks about drashta bhava. Drashta bhava means that me in me, which is watching the me all the time is not like distancing myself at all. It's not moving away from me at all. It's like almost creating another being. My consciousness itself comes out of my body as awareness. And the me in me that watches the me all the time is like there is another me walking with me all the time. And this 1
is always smiling and this 1 looks at me angry, crying, lecturing, whatever. You know, so this awareness, what we call witnessing consciousness, the stha in the Vedanta is a very deeper term than spiritual bypassing or discording, very deep bottom Because it is actually another entity you create, and of yourself, that remains hinged with the consciousness all the time, and is never at the mercy of life situations. It's consciousness itself. Drishta is the consciousness itself. You get my point? It's a much more deeper concept, much more deeper, this thing. Because it is like as a human
being you have you know your mind with your mind you have power and conversation you can have power and conversation with the Prana and prana is consciousness you know because it's moving consciousness So when you get into the drishtabha, if you get into the observation mode every day, what's happening to you? Why are you crying? Start dialogue inside you, you know, what's happening? Why are you upset? What's happening? Why are you crying? And you learn the art of stepping out of the body. Suppose you're in an argument with someone. Step out of the body and
look at yourself. OK, she's Arguing very well. Good done. Well done. You know, be a spectator, be a witness. Come out. If you develop this habit you actually create another you. It's a huge thing. It's a very, very, very beautiful thing. So the words are same but they are little, those words are little shallow, this is deeper. There is a beautiful shloka that says Upadrashta anumanta bharta bhokta Maheshwara. Upadrashta anumanta bharta, bhokta, maheshwara. Upadrashta means someone who is Overseeing, anumanta, who is giving permission. Bharta, bhokta, maheshwara. That is what you become. Maheshwara. Yeah, the 1
that is experiencing, the 1 that is giving the experience, the 1 that is getting the experience and this is the Maheshwara that I'm, it's for the awareness. The awareness that stands out becomes almost like, you know, the other person that means you are actually playing everything and she's watching. It's profound power of consciousness that Actually becomes another you And this is supposed to be a Jeevan Mukta. This is the word that the seers use. All the Rishis in India, they use the word Jeevan Mukta. Jeevan Mukta means you have conquered the life, you have conquered
life. So there's 1 you which is going through the destiny and is going through all the events of your life and there's another you who's so mukta, who's so liberated that nothing is affecting her at all. And she's in fact smiling and Watching everything. Yes. The game is an interesting concept for me and 1 that I'd love to adopt. Where I live in Sydney, Australia, there's a lot of clearing of land of the beloved forest and they justify it by housing crisis and I see a lot of animals de-homed and I'm doing the good fight,
I suppose, getting involved in politics. But I'm very sad. Like I see the trees next door, they come down and I haven't been able to not feel this deep, feeling it now, this deep Sadness for the earth and the lack of respect for Mother Earth, the trees, the birds, or even recognition they're there. And I don't know yet how to fight the good fight, but have that distance where I can do it a bit more playfully rather than it sort of bringing me into this grief. What you say Mother Earth, she's huge. She's beyond our
imagination, Mother Earth. She's Devi Shakti herself and she's huge, fathomless. In India we say That the sum total of energy, the sum total of energy, that means the sum total of lives and souls which are there, it remains constant because it's consciousness energy and it's recycled all the time into different forms. So when we as children are playing here on Earth, and we're doing stupid things like cutting down trees and abusing nature, and you know, there is this power which is watching us, and there's this power which knows how to set the children Right. It's
a game. And our divine parent is looking at us, playing some stupid games. And they know how to set us right. We are their children. They know how to set us right. So as a brother and a sister, you and me feel sad about what's happening, but we look up at the divine parents and say, please do something about this mess. You know, and what responsibility I would take, I would at my end do the best I can. At my end, I would do the best I can. I would seek Forgiveness for my brothers and
sisters who are abusing. I could do prayers for the earth, you know, and I would revere, respect and, you know, worship her every day. This is the only freedom. This is the only choice you have. And the rest of them, they will be enlightened by God. They would learn their lessons in the due course. And there's a balance of nature. You know what happened a few years back? There were floods in the Ganga. I live by the Ganga in a small hermitage in Rishikesh. There were floods in the Ganga. The Ganga was overflowing and Kedarnath,
there was a massive destruction. Lots of houses and villages went into the earth and people died and horses and cattle and it was complete destruction. I had an American and you know how his friend both of them were with me for study and they went on the bike to Kedarnath, you know, they wanted to have a look and they came back. What they told me was astounding. So many, This was after about 6 months of that devastation. So many trees and plants and shrubs and everything was growing there, you know, and they felt so much
of peace as if they were sitting in the lap of Shiva. They went and meditated there, they felt as if they're sitting in the lap of Shiva. So what is the value of our human life? It's nothing in comparison to what Earth is. You know, we like small insects crawling on Earth, like small ants. As sad as you would feel, you see a Tree cut down, that's not sad I feel when an ant dies. The value of the tree and the ant is the same, it's not different. Similarly, we use antiseptics every day, we use
sanitizers every day, we're killing microbes and viruses. Death is an integral part of this creation. And the overseer is the divine. It's apparent, it knows what to do. So don't feel bad about what is happening, but take responsibility at your level to love, pray, and do what you can to serve Mother Earth. Since we spoke about all this, I just wanted to ask you to do a few lines on Tattvamasi. Tattvamasi. So we have these Mahavakyas. We have these maha-vakyas. Brahma, Smita, Tvam, Asi, Ayam, Atma, Brahma, Pragnyanam, Brahma. There are 4 of these that are
spoken about. Stepwise, they take you into the realization of the self as everything. It starts with prajnanam brahma, the first stage of development of The knowing of the atman. Prajnanam Brahma is when you learn to surrender, when you know her and when you understand her, then you are ready to receive her. Prajnanam Brahma is divinizing your intellect and downloading the prajna deep into you to transform your very thought and very understanding about your being. It's a maha-vakyaya because this is the first step of the process of realization. And then ayam atma brahma. Ayam atma brahma
is, my atma itself is brahma and I Start studying, I start reading the scriptures, I start attending seminars and then I realized that oh my god, she's sitting in my heart You know, I am atma brahma. I understand that my atma itself is brahman that the Tuamasi the third step where we are still in Dvaita and we are still in the understanding that she is here, she is here, she is here. And when you come, when you cross the second milestone, which is I am Atma Brahma, you start connecting with all the Atmas of Everyone
around you and everything around you and you understand that that what I was thinking was there is actually here. That what I was seeing everywhere is actually showing itself inside. They say that when you are divinized, when your cells are divinized, when your tanmatras are divinized, tanmatras are the building blocks of your senses, you know, the building blocks of your senses, that means the shabda, the sparsha, the rasa, the roopa, these tanmatras, when they get Divinized, you see God everywhere. You see, for instance, if I am sitting and watching a forest, then I see the
shape of the Ganesha everywhere. Automatically that akruti comes into my you know drishti. Anything if I look at here I can make a you know a tusk here and it just comes because your Tanmatras are loaded with the light, with the deity that you believe in. You see that everywhere. So Tattvamasi is a realization where you understand that this is all being shown To me because it's here, because it's here. And the final realization of Aham Brahman Brahma Smriti is a very difficult 1. It's a very difficult 1 and it's only by Adiguru's grace and
you know, Mahasaraswati's grace and Shakti's grace that that realization can come to you where you see this entire Brahman to be your projection, that it is coming from this point and you know, being projected on a screen outside like a movie and you are so much at a distance that you are Part of that movie but you are not playing you're here. Your awareness is hinged in the consciousness. You're playing that role there as Shashi Kapoor but you are not that, you are here. You get it? Aham Brahmasmi is the most difficult realization. The other
3 happen with God's grace. Aham Brahmasmi comes only with sankalp and sadhana, then that grace showers on you. With sankalp and sadhana you don't know for how many lifetimes. It shouldn't be that the Problem with intelligent people is they want results immediately. Problem with you know the educated mind is that I'm doing this for 6 months, nothing has happened. You're already expecting to levitate and you're already expecting that there'll be a halo, yellow halo around the head. You're already expecting there'll be rings around your head. And so these expectations become very big barriers. You just
do it. And for that, my suggestion would be always take Yourself to be childlike. A small child, If you imagine that I'm a small child and God is guiding me, divine is guiding me, taking, holding my hand, it's the easiest way, you know, to let yourself excuse of all the blunders that you do, you get over, you know, all the blunders that you do on the path. Some things you don't do rightly, some things you don't sit properly, or sometimes you're yawning through your meditation, or sometimes you are not pronouncing things correctly. If You think
and consider yourself compassionately, treat yourself with compassion like I'm a child, then you can go on. Don't treat yourself like an adult who's supposed to know everything to the point and to the T. That becomes a very stressful journey. Take yourself, deal with yourself with a lot of compassion and always believe that the Divine Mother is surely holding my hand and cradling me and taking me, you know, on the journey wherever she wants me to, you know. Yeah. I go back to the many, many, 1 too many. I wonder how Shakti works in groups. In
groups? Yes, in groups of people. Something that we've done a lot of research is that consistent change happens in groups. So you want to sustain change over time, you do this in community. And normally those groups are between 656 people and 12. So that's kind of the ideal. I was wondering how Shakti can be managed when you are in a group setting and if you have Techniques to do that. If I've understood his question right he wants to know that when you are working in a group for a cause. Community, let's say Auroville. What is
the Shakti in Auroville? Yes, yes, yes. So, entrancment, you know, entrancment is a scientific word which goes with resonance. When you create resonance, you create resonance, the sound waves entrance into other things which are There and they start vibrating at the same resonance and the same resonance. Entrancement is the highest quality of Shakti. That's why when you sit with a positive person, you feel positive, eventually. Or we sit with a negative person, you feel drained. Yeah? So when you talk about collective projects, and when you talk about communities being built up, there's always a center
point where the Shakti emerges. She emerges, she's everywhere. All right, she emerges As a center point. And this normally is channeled into 1 or a group of center, a group of the core of the organization or the core of the community. She manifests in them and works through them with the process of entrancment. So the whole community eventually comes into resonance. What they do not believe in also in their head, they start believing. Eventually, in a period of time. When you lay, so this core group, let's say the head of the community, they take out,
They write down certain points. This is the way we are going to build up this community. Who is channeling these ideas to them? The Shakti that has come in that form. When they write these points, and when they put it on the notice board, and when it is said and discussed in all the meetings in the community, the process of entrancment begins. And the ideas flow into the crevices of the brain. Everything is happening in the brain, the thought, you know, it penetrates into the Crevices of the brain. That's how, you know, you have powerful
speakers. You have powerful speakers that can convince you within a second of something that they want you to believe in, because the entrancment of the Shakti is so powerful there. So communities thrive on this. It's a vibratory field, a huge electromagnetic field of the Devi itself that is working under the sheets of people who are apparently taking roles. Somebody is constructing, somebody is Printing, somebody is planting, somebody is, you know, the different roles that people are taking in the community are all under the mesh of that electromagnetic field, the 1 field that the Devi has
come up as. That's how communities work. It's a very beautiful thing to observe. That's how you see when you're at Auroville, you see all of them come under a particular kind of energy. A very, very particular kind of energy. Say when you go to a Hare Krishna group and Everybody say Radhe Radhe, everybody is there in that entrancment. It penetrates into your brain and mind and transforms the prana deep within. You're in an electromagnetic field, huge electromagnetic field of that Devi which is consecrated at the onset and at the founded center. When you found a
center, she brought up the Shakti Kum, there is a Devi which is consecrated right there and she shall take care, I always tell her, she shall take care because it's not our Work, it's her work. She shall take care. Our dedication and our surrender, deep surrender to this consecrated Devi is the only free will that we should have. We have to not let our thoughts and our conditioning come into as interference in this beautiful energy pattern. Then you'll allow this consecrated Devi to work and expand. So that means in a community, surrendered people are important.
It's important to have people who are surrendered, then they can easily Come into the entrancing vibration of that whole field. That make sense? I love it, yes. Can I build on this? Yeah. Okay, what happens if there's another subject that comes into the field with a different energy? What happens if they interfere? Exactly. With the consecrated Devi. The consecrated Devi is mother and she knows how to handle things. Also sometimes transition, transition you understand the Change in transition is a part of her divine plan. It's a part of her divine plan. And because she's made
a promise to Shiva that I'm not going to stop, I'm going to be always in transition and movement. So different facets of that Devi come sometimes. That's how reformation happens, you know, in religions and in societies, in communities, lot of reformation happens. But when the core, you know, when somebody has founded something and at the Core there's purity, there is sanctity that will always remain. It will always remain. The change that is coming is happening with her, you know, with her sanction. Nothing happens without her sanction. Man does not have the capability to spoil anything.
I'm telling you. The Matri Mandir is the consecrated Devi. There is a field, the whole gardens. Jaya was teaching us about all the gardens today and how each element holds part of That collective consecrated field. And all of Auroville is a evolutionary field in that sense. It's a work in progress and a never ending progress according to Mother. So yeah, I guess they'll always be ups and downs and what looks like, oh, it's a difficult time. But it's like, we always think with the human brains. We can't think beyond that. That's a problem. And so
we want that the color of the Ganges should always be that emerald green. And when it becomes brown, Then we say, wow, from where is all of this pollution coming and from where does you get this stuff? You know, the power, the power is huge. When, you know, you're Such buildings and such communities cannot be built by ordinary human beings unless the divine himself takes and embodies into that body. They cannot be made. So when they can be made, something impossible can be made, the sustenance is the divine power as well. And so is destruction
when the time is right. Things are created, they're sustained and they're destroyed and they're reformed. Again, destruction is not to be understood by the human mind with the limited understanding. Destruction word, the more appropriate word is recycling. Everything is being recycled and reformed and recreated and remolded into something beautiful. And at the core will always remain that Shakti which was there at the onset. It will never move from there. So it is happening with divine sanction. Each 1, when you're a part of such a community, each 1 holds a responsibility to not critically look at
it, but rather keep quiet and silent and to contemplate deep inside with a faith that mother knows what to do. She knows what to do. And it will happen in the due course, you know, the way it was meant. The divine plan is in the process of unfolding every moment. Human beings are not capable of destroying anything. I'm telling you this. All right, anything else? We say a Beautiful prayer for the Devi before we end? We do a Sri Suktam chant. We do a Sri Suktam chant to invoke the Devi in us, the divine Lakshmi,
the repulsion, beautiful, golden, huge Devi that comes with her glorious form. May she be invoked in our hearts. We'll end our lecture with this, OK?
