you know one of the things that I value most out of literally everything my time and although I've always been a huge fan of productivity and efficiency and habits if those habits are not actually bettering my life or saving me time or making my life easier in some way in the long run then it's not for me so in this video I'm going to talk about small habits that I do or productivity habits that I've discovered that actually help me save time and I would estimate that these probably help me save at least 10 hours a week maybe more so so let's get into it hey guys welcome back if you're new here my name is jills and I help women step into their power tap into their feminine energy and become their best self live their best life so if that's something you want to do you should subscribe and stick around and if you want more from me don't forget to check out my awaken your feminine energy course or any of my other digital products like my notion template or my life audit workbook if you feel called to check them out those are all linked down below okay so the first habit that majorly helps me save time is working with my energy levels and not against them so let me explain what I mean by this different people have different energy levels throughout the day and different people have different rhythms with their energy throughout the day like some people are just naturally morning people and they have just a burst of energy in the morning and are just so laser focused in the morning some people are night people they have that Natural Energy and focus at night some people have that during the middle of the day so for example if you are a morning person and you are just so energized and naturally focused in the morning but you save your hardest tasks of the day for 300 p. m. when you feel really sluggish and you want to take a nap it's such a waste of time and effort and energy so the point with all this is to be strategic about when you do what so that you end up being more efficient and saving time and ideally making these tasks easier for you so to do this trick you really need to be able to understand your own personal energy rhythms and how to use it to your advantage so for example I'm naturally most energized and most natur mentally focused and clear from like 9: to 11:00 a.
m. and then basically anytime after like 5 or 6 p. m.
but then that time in between I'm a little bit more slow a little bit more sluggish I can still do stuff I can still be productive but I don't have that mental sharpness and creativity and focus like I do during the other times so the things that require really deep work from me and really deep focus and concentration I will intentionally try to do those in the morning right after waking up and then later at the end of my day and then during the middle of the day I try to do more tasks that are just like mentally a little bit easier so that might mean going through emails or you know making thumbnails doing home tasks and home chores or going to my appointments or posting to Instagram or walking the dog or even working out for example I go to acupuncture once a week and I strategically made that appointment it's the same day every single week but it's in the afternoon after lunch and the reason why I made it at this time is because that's the time when I normally mentally feel the slowest it's when like if I want to take a nap that's the time when I'm going to want to do it so it makes so much more sense to align the time where I'm going to be poked with needles and then just laying there for an hour and basically taking a nap to a period in my day where I already feel sluggish this is just about being strategic with your own energy rhythms and this is why I meal prep my breakfast every Sunday for the rest of the week it's because because I don't want to miss out on that time in the morning where I am a little bit more energized and a little bit more clear and sharp and so I like to get up and just get my day going if you're someone who's just like naturally energized and focused and sharp from like 5:00 a. m. to 10:00 a.
m. then you are probably one of those people who would really benefit from waking up early and going to bed early so figure out your natural energy rhythms and if you don't really know what they are then it's really helpful to basically make a journal just keeping track of your energy throughout the day so basically every hour for like a week or so just write down 10:00 a. m.
how energized and how focused you feel 11:00 a. m. you know how energized and focused you feel you can rate it from like 1 to 10 and after like a week of this you'll start to notice a pattern so once you figure out when your energy and your focus naturally Peaks that's when you decide to align the most challenging and focused heavy task that you have to do with those peaks in your energy and you will be so much more efficient and you will save so much more time of course I know some people have a little bit more flexibility in their day than others but if you just try to do this to the best of your ability it really will pay off now the second habit that saves time is what I call productive multitasking so a lot of people say that we can't really multitask and that's because our brain can't actually fully focus on two things at once but there are actually so many things that we can do at the same time when instead we combine one thing that we actually do really have to focus on with one thing that requires no Focus not really any mental attention at all for example something that I literally just did yesterday one thing that I do a lot is I'll go to the gym and then I'll walk on the treadmill just at like a really slow speed like 2.
