[Music] you ready set today we're here for the first ever mock wheelchair basketball clinic where we've invited patients and community members in Ann Arbor area it doesn't matter whether or not you use a wheelchair on an everyday basis if you have some sort of physical challenge or limitation that stops you from playing able-bodied basketball you are eligible to play wheelchair basketball it's amazing how much fun it is for a child just to weave in between cones and they're taking it and they're maneuvering in a ways they never did before and they're feeling this independence that
they never had before oh it's been great because the way he moved that cheered the way has he does and pick up the ball is just awesome like every time he does something new it's just puts a parent over the top it's like you see your child do something you think they can't do and then they're out there doing it it's like make your heart cry when you have a disability people not necessarily look down on you but sort of baby you in certain ways and it's just like oh isn't that wonderful that you got
to go out today and say no like everyone to some degree has competitive juices within them and and needs an outlet for that competition and this gives kids who have a physical disability an outlet for that competitiveness and I just think that's again so important for for anyone whether you have a disability or not [Music]
