what's up guys Julia here in this video we're going to talk about increasing your conversion rates so the entire point of this video is to help you get more sales we're going to be covering some very powerful strategies and I'll also be sharing with you a resource that I have created to help you optimize your Shopify store so make sure to stick around for that and if you haven't signed up for Shopify yet I'm also going to go ahead and leave the best current deal for getting started Linked In the description all right let's dive
into it so first things first if you're new to conversion rates we're basically referring ref ing to the number of sessions that are turning into sales and we're measuring it in percentages so for example if 100 people visit your store and five of them make a purchase then your conversion rate is 5% so to increase your conversion rate we have to optimize our store for conversions and by doing so we're going to maximize our marketing budgets because with the same number of online store sessions we're going to be getting more sales so you're going to
get more out of the traffic that you are generating so to increase our conversion rates we have to look at a few different things that are impacting that and make some changes so let's go ahead and see what things you can do to optimize so the first thing we're going to look at is our product pages these are very very important and there is a lot that we can do to optimize our product pages so first of all if you want to maximize your online store for conversions I highly recommend designing custom product pages that
means having a uniquely designed page for each of your products there is so much that we can do in our product pages to optimize our conversions there there's so many different kind of sections that we can add that are going to have a big impact so if you haven't done this yet that's something that we have to look at now if you want to design custom product pages or custom collection pages on Shopify there is a specific process that you have to go through by default all of your product pages are going to be assigned
to the same default template which just has your product listing and your recommended product section so if you want to add more sections that are unique to one individual products page you have to create custom templates so if you haven't done this yet I have a tutorial that you can follow I'm going to leave it linked down below now within your product pages you want to make sure that you have very high quality images and visuals and that you have a wellth thought out layout that has a lot of contrast and that is visually engaging
to look at you'll also want to include some sort of offer and we are going to dive a little bit more into this in a moment and you're also going to want to add customer reviews reviews are going to make a very big difference in how much trust you are building in your online store so building Trust really is the main goal when we're looking to increase our conversions the more trustable your store is the more it's going to sell so if you want to add reviews to your store you can use a platform called
omniscent which I'm going to leave linked here in the description and I also have a tutorial to add reviews down below omniscent is very very easy to use they are also the best platform when it comes to email marketing and SMS marketing they have lots of advanced features really good design templates and everything is super super easy and intuitive to navigate so I'm I'm going to leave omnisend linked below so to summarize it we're going to need highquality visuals an effective design layout offers and ideally also customer reviews now I also have a Shopify optimization

need some extra help with any of these topics I'm going to leave the course linked below now let's talk about offers so as I've mentioned before it's really recommended that you have powerful offers that are visible within your product pages and offers really are one of the most powerful ways to increase your conversions so it's definitely recommended that run different types of offers you could do buy one get one type of deals you could do gifts with purchases you could do volume discounts bundle discounts Etc so all of that is going to make your customers
way more excited to buy they're going to feel like there's something in it for them and it's going to be a win-win on both ends so to create BOGO offers and all sorts of different promotions I recommend using a Shopify app named bogos which I'm going to leave linked here in the description so the good thing about this app is that you can run many different promotions in one app so it's kind of of an all-in-one tool so instead of installing a bunch of different apps for different offers you can just do everything in one
place you're also going to see that this app has been on Shopify for more than 10 years so they have a pretty strong reputation they also have really good reviews their customer support team is very responsive as well and they usually reply within about 2 minutes so that's a big plus so if you want to use bogos once again I'm going to leave the links down below now as I mentioned there are lots of different kinds of offers that you can create and you need to know how to calc calate these carefully so that you
don't destroy your profits margins we are playing with product prices so you just have to be a little bit mindful of what kind of offers you create and how you calculate them so we also have an entire module that's dedicated to offers in the course where I break down many many different offers that you can create how to calculate them and I also show you how to actually set them up inside Shopify step by step I also go over lots of different ways you can share your offers with your customers and how to actually do
all of that step by step inside Shopify so if this sounds like something you need help with the course is going to be linked down below now let's talk about popups these are also going to be very very powerful in increasing your conversion rates pop-ups can be a way to share your offers with your customers so you're going to be basically exchanging offers for email addresses and there are so many different ways to use popups and there are so many different strategies that you can Implement and I highly highly recommend doing so I do have
another tutorial that you can use for that in which we are also using omniscent so in that video we basically we're creating a first order discount and we're sharing that in our popup so the user can sign up with their name and email address and they get a discount coupon sent to their email so we're basically creating an entire email automation flow and also a couple of other email marketing automations and the whole setup is actually very very easy and intuitive and I highly highly recommend that you go through that process so I'm going to
leave that tutorial linked below as well so as I mentioned you are also going to be using these popups to collect email addresses and once you actually build an email list and you have a lot of emails to Market to you can also use that to build out your returning customer base to drive even more traffic to your store and to get more sales so email marketing is going to be a very very important strategy especially in the long run and long-term Vision that you have for your business the cost of email marketing is much
lower than pretty much every other strategy so it's a very very important thing that you should be implementing so if you are ready to set up email marketing I'm going to leave omnisense linked down below and I'm also going to leave a couple trials that you can follow to set everything up all right next up to increase our conversions let's talk about user experience so this is about optimizing some of the technical things in our store because that's also going to affect the experience that our customers are having in our websites which are then going
to affect whether or not they want to buy something so first we have to make sure that the store is optimized for mobile and that it's flowing very well on a mobile screen you also want to have a look in your Shopify settings and see that your site is loading fast enough so ideally you should aim for Less Than 3 seconds you also want to make sure that your navigation menu is well structured and that it's logical that it's not overwhelming or confusing and you'll also want to have well-placed call to actions so your call
to actions are going to really tight in with how you are structuring your web design layout so you really want to create something that is in alignment with your audience's consumer psychology so in the course I also have an entire module dedicated to call to actions and we also have a live store design episodes in which I'm really breaking down the consumer psychology behind my decisions and why I'm adding the kind of sections that I'm adding so you're going to get a very good understanding of what's actually effective so if you need some extra help
with that the course is going to be linked down below next up let's talk about checkout so Shopify already has the best converting checkout in the planet so there's not much that you have to do in your settings however I will say that you should have different kinds of payment options available so for example if right now all you have is Paypal that's going to limit the possibility of a lot of purchases of people that don't prefer using that payment provider so you want to make sure that you have different options available you want to
make sure that you have credit card payments that you have PayPal that you also have possibly Apple pay and maybe even more options so we're really trying to make the checkout process as easy and smooth as possible give them as many options as you can to really expand and not limit the possibilities this way you're going to be catering to everyone's preferences and you're increasing the likel oods that they're actually going to follow through with a purchase now if you already have a company registered then I recommend using air wallx this is a very very
good payment provider but it's made specifically for business accounts they do everything in international currencies so it's ideal for e-commerce so if you do have a business registered and you're still looking for a payment provider I'm going to leave air wallic linked down below and finally let's dive into policies so your policies can also have a pretty strong effect in your conversions because they are also going to affect how much someone is trusting your store and like I mentioned building trust is one of the most important things when it comes to increasing your conversions so
for example if you have a 30-day money back guarantee you're going to make them feel much safer to buy something because you're reducing the risk in it for them so that's a very powerful policy to have that is very likely going to increase your conversion rates so adding these kinds of policies to your product pages can make a very big difference you'll also want to make sure that you're being very transparent and that you're clearly communicating your shipping prices that's also going to help build trust because the customer knows what to expect so if you
can show them an estimate of how many days it's going to take for their order to arrive excellent I do know there are some Shopify apps that you can use for this so I'm going to leave some recommendations down below now you really need to completely remove any hesitation that your customers might have about buying something so it's also ideal that you have your return and your refund policies linked very clearly in a very easy to find way that's also going to remove any hesitation that they may have about buying the product so it really
