the Assassin's Creed modding Community has been absolutely popping off the last year or so with more great mods improving the base experience of these games coming out every few months it feels like I've covered a couple on my channel like the ACU fixes and outfit manager last year for Unity The Mirage mod ejects when that came out and now I want to Spotlight a mod that came out a few months ago that significantly improves Parkour in the original AC games for ac1 2 Brotherhood and Revelations making what was already the best Parkour system of the
series even better by giving players more control and freedom in their movements and implementing new features that were either not in the game before or very contextual along with overall quality of life improvements for the game's movement to top it all off this is the definitive parkour mod by Henry PDT and as always the links to these mods will be in the description go check it out if you have these games on PC and spread the word because I believe this is one of the most impressive Assassin's Creed mods to date and it's crazy that
we're getting mods like this even 10 to 15 years after these games have been released I love to see it modders are a godsend and Assassin's Creed fans can be extremely passionate now of course you can find this mod on Nexus and it's very simple to install only took me a few minutes and I'll leave a link to animist Drifter video in the description as well he made a great guide on not only how to install the mod but also how to use all of its features in game but one of the biggest things this
mod does is it brings the vating mechanic from ac1 into the Etso games which is not possible for the vanilla versions of ac2 through Revelations and this opens up what you can do in parkour quite significantly I had never understood why vaulting from ac1 was never carried on into the ETO games and now thanks to this mod it's possible in all of them and works exactly how it did in ac1 and another really useful feature of the mod is a dedicated free form button which if you hold when making a jump eject swing or even
a vault ETO or Altier depending on the game will ignore all nearby Ledges walls Etc and will freely move without latching on to anything which can be useful in a variety of situations and will give you more control and options during parkour than ever before with the free form button you can also do what is called a natural beam drop which is exactly how it sounds you can naturally drop down off of any non-standing object mostly being beams kind of like what you can do in unity with parkour descent which was previously not possible in
the old games and allows for a lot more vertical movement options with this mod you can also do something called a dive beam which allows you to dive down from height onto a lower beam or swing again just giving you more specific control over what object you want to get to in parkour there are a few other cool features that come with the mod that are safeguarded which means they will be disabled by default and should only be turned on if you know how to use them properly as if abused they can break the game's
physics and sense of realism the first of which is the super hop this allows iio and Altier to land on objects and handholds that they wouldn't be able to in the base game like wall edges they would usually land on and grab with their hands with super hop you can actually just land with your feet and immediately run up the wall which looks really cool and opens up a lot of potential in parkour runs and this is true for a lot of objects like you can even land on the top of swings and jump off
with your feet as well the super hop also allows Altier and iio to jump to Heights they wouldn't normally be able to although this is one of those examples of an unrealistic movement that they shouldn't be able to make hence why super hop is disabled by default and should only be used if you know how to use it properly the next feature is swing up which again is pretty self-explanatory allows you to use Swings with upward velocity so you can actually swing onto an object that is higher than the swing itself but again unless you
have lots of momentum from dropping down onto the swing then realistically this should not be possible for Altier and Etso to pull off there's also Vault far which will allow you to Vault onto a further Landing destination than what is normally possible again when you use it in a realistic context this can look really good and make sense but if abused you end end up looking like this so use with caution but the final Safeguard feature and my personal favorite is exclusive to Brotherhood and Revelations and that's the manual horse flip in Brotherhood and Revelations
you can do a unique flip and parkour When jumping from a horse to a beam it looks really cool it's super satisfying to pull off and this mod allows you to do this horse flip manually whenever you want and not just when jumping off of a horse it looks awesome and brings so much flare to parkour and with the mod it is far less contextual and easier to pull off along with all of these there's also a number of passive features that come with the mod that you don't have to do any specific input to
trigger one of them removes the very annoying stumbling that was added in the Etso games that made Etso stumble constantly in parkour when landing at a ledge at a nonperpendicular angle which could be very frustrating and break up the flow of Parkour significantly but with this mod that's completely gone Hallelujah quick catch a ledge eject allows you to eject or pull up after catching a ledge far quicker which makes pulling yourself up Ledges and executing ejects feel faster and smoother overall and finally there's passive swing which allows you to swing off of objects you normally
couldn't in the vanilla version of the games and on top of all this you can toggle certain actions on and off for example you can disable ledge stumbles when you go to run off of something you can make it so you always roll when Landing there's a lot of extra options there this mod is incredible I've already had so much fun with it and it opens up so much in terms of mechanical depth and potential in parkour runs there are some other creators who are much more skilled than me when it comes to parkour who
do an excellent job of showcasing what this mod is capable of I encourage you to check out some of their videos it's so impressive but go give this mod a download and try it out for yourself if you get the chance we've got to support great mods like this when they come so we can keep getting mods that significantly improve the experience expence of these games it's insane too that these are done by such a small number of people while Ubisoft has hundreds of developers working on these games but yeah this makes what was already
the best movement and parkour system of the series even better and it's so cool to get gamechanging mods like this over a decade after the game's initial releases but like I said links to everything in the description check out the mod spread the word and a massive thank you to the Creator Henry PDT I make these spotlights to bring more attention and recognition to these mods so I hope more people go try it for themselves it's the definitive way to play these games now there's no going back to vanilla parkour after trying this but let
me know what you guys think about the mod if you've tried it in the comments and other than that thank you for watching everybody and I hope you have a great rest of your day [Music] assassins for
