you have to be careful when you complement people you generally can't compliment people who are way above you in a status hierarchy for example because it's presumptuous but peers for sure people you love generally certainly people who are lower in the Authority hierarchy than you but if you can single out something they did if you're alert to that and you start fostering that around you people just start doing more and more of it and then you're just surrounded by that all the time and now it's so like how would you want anything better than that
