You don't get to have it all right now. You don't. You don't get to have the future you dream about and the comfort you're holding on to today. One of them has to go. And if you're sitting there thinking you can somehow figure out a way to keep both, you're lying to yourself. You're lying straight to your own face. The life you want costs something. It costs today. It costs right now. It costs the version of you that wants to sleep in and scroll and do nothing and pretend like tomorrow is going to be any
different than yesterday. You want that future, then you got to burn the present down. You want to be great, you want to be champion, then stop living like today don't matter. Today is the only thing that matters. What you do right now is the only thing you got. Tomorrow ain't promised. Yesterday is gone. All you got is this moment and you're wasting it. You're throwing it away on things that don't mean nothing. And then you sit there crying about why your life ain't changing. Your life ain't changing because you ain't changing. You're the same person
today that you were 6 months ago. Same habits, same excuses, same Weak little story you keep telling yourself. Let me tell you something nobody wants to hear. The good times are killing you. The comfort is killing you. the ease and the pleasure and the fun you're having right now. That is the thing standing between you and everything you say you want. You think you deserve a break. You think you earned a night off from what? What have you done? What have you actually accomplished that earned you the right to sit down and rest? Nothing. You've
done nothing. And I'm not saying that to be mean. I'm saying that because somebody needs to say it to you straight. How bad do you want it? I want it bad. How bad? Bad enough to give up what you got right now? Bad enough to walk away from the party? Bad enough to turn off the phone? Bad enough to sit in a room by yourself and work when nobody's watching and nobody cares? That's the real question. It ain't about how bad you want the dream. Everybody wants the dream. Everybody wants the house and the car
and the money and the respect. The question is, what are you willing to lose to get there? What are you willing to sacrifice right now, Today, this week, this month? Because the price of greatness is the present. That's the currency. That's the only thing you got to trade. I grew up with nothing. Absolutely nothing. No money, no connections, no silver spoon. Nobody was coming to help me. Nobody was going to open a door for me. I knew from a young age that whatever I was going to get in this life, I was going to have
to go take it myself. And you know what that means? That means I couldn't waste a single day. I couldn't afford to sit around and be comfortable because comfortable was broke. Comfortable was hungry. Comfortable was watching my mama struggle and not being able to do a damn thing about it. So I sacrificed. I sacrificed my weekends. I sacrificed my social life. I sacrificed sleep. I sacrificed everything that felt good in the moment because I knew what I was building was bigger than any of that. People don't understand what sacrifice really means. They think sacrifice is
missing a party. They think sacrifice is waking up early one time. No. Real sacrifice is choosing pain over pleasure every single day for years with no guarantee it's going to work out. Real Sacrifice is watching everybody around you have fun and enjoy their life while you're in the dark grinding on something nobody even believes in yet. That's sacrifice. And if you can't do that, then stop talking about your dreams because they're not dreams. They're wishes. And wishes don't come true without work. I remember back in the day, people used to ask me why I was
always in the gym, always training, always running. They'd be going out on a Friday night and I'd be in the gym by myself doing rounds on the bag, nobody watching, nobody filming it, nobody patting me on the back saying, "Good job." Just me and the work. And they'd say, "Man, you're missing out. You're missing out on life." And I'd look at them and think, "No, you're the one missing out. You just don't know it yet. Because while you're out having a good time tonight, I'm building something. And one day that something is going to show
up and you're going to look at me and wonder how I got there. I got there because I was here in the dark alone, sacrificing the present for the future. You know what the problem is with most people? Most people want the results, but they don't want the process. They want the body, but they don't want the gym. They want the money, but they don't want the grind. They want the success, But they don't want the sacrifice. You can't have one without the other. It's a package deal. And the package is heavy. The package is
painful. The package requires you to put down everything that feels good right now and pick up something that hurts. And you got to carry that thing every single day until the day comes when it starts to pay off. And that day might be a year from now. It might be 5 years from now. It might be 10. But it will come. If you keep going, it will come. Listen, man. I'm not asking you to go do something crazy. I'm not asking you to climb a mountain or run a marathon tomorrow. I'm asking you to do
the simple hard things. Wake up when you said you would. Put the phone down. Open the book. Go to the gym. Stay late. Start the business plan. Have the hard conversation. Do the thing you've been putting off for weeks, months, years. That's the sacrifice I'm talking about. It's not one big dramatic moment. It's a thousand small choices you make every single day where you choose the hard thing over the easy thing. And those small choices, they stack up. They compound. And one day you look up and Your whole life is different because you made those
choices when nobody was watching and nobody cared. You're going to have to let some things go. You understand me? Some people got to go. Some habits got to go. Some places you've been hanging around at got to go. If it's not feeding your future, it's eating your present. And you can't afford that. Not anymore. Not at this point in your life. You've already wasted enough time. You've already thrown away enough days doing nothing. How many more are you willing to lose? How many more Mondays are you going to wake up and say, "This week is
going to be different." And then do the exact same thing you did last week. At some point, you got to draw the line. You got to look at yourself and say, "Enough." Today, the sacrifice starts for real. I had a coach who told me something I never forgot. He said, "Son, the gap between where you are and where you want to be is filled with all the things you're not willing to give up." I sat with that for a long time because I realized all the things I was holding on to were the exact things
holding me back. The late nights that weren't productive, the people who weren't going Anywhere, the comfort I was wrapping around myself like a blanket because I was scared of what was on the other side. Once I started letting go of those things, one by one, my life started to move. Not fast at first, slow, real slow. But it was moving. And that was more than I could say before. You ever notice how the people who talk the most about their dreams are usually the ones doing the least about them? They post about it. They talk
about it at dinner. They tell everybody what they're going to do. But when it's time to actually do it, when it's time to get up at 4 in the morning and sit in the cold and do the work nobody sees, they're nowhere. They're asleep. They're comfortable. They're wrapped up in the same routine they've been in for years, acting like something is going to change by magic. Nothing changes by magic. Nothing changes by wishing. The only thing that changes your life is what you're willing to give up today for what you want tomorrow. I trained with
a guy years ago who was the most talented fighter I ever seen. Hands like lightning, footwork like a dancer. Could have been champion of the world easy. But every weekend he was out. Every weekend he was partying. Every weekend he was choosing the present over the future. And you know where he is now? Nowhere. Working a regular job. Talking about what he could have been. That's the saddest phrase in any language. What I could have been. Don't let that be your story. Don't let people look at you in 20 years and say, "Man, he had
so much potential." Potential without sacrifice is just a fancy word for wasted. You got to understand something about time. Time don't care about you. Time don't slow down because you're not ready. Time don't wait because you're scared. Time keeps moving. Whether you're building something or sitting on your ass doing nothing. And every minute you spend on comfort is a minute you'll never get back. You can't save time. You can't store it. You can't borrow it from tomorrow. All you can do is use it or lose it. And right now, most of you are losing it.
You're bleeding time every single day on things that don't matter and then wondering why you never have enough of it to build the life you want. You know what my biggest fear is? It ain't failure. It ain't embarrassment. It ain't going broke. My biggest fear is Being 70 years old, sitting in a chair, looking back at my life, and realizing I played it safe. Realizing I had the chance to be something, and I chose to be comfortable instead. That scares me more than any fight, more than any loss, more than any pain I could ever
feel. Because pain goes away. Regret doesn't. Regret sits with you forever. And I refuse to let that be my ending. So I sacrifice every single day. I sacrifice. Not because I want to, because I have to, because the alternative is a life I can't live with. There was a study done where they asked old people in nursing homes what they regretted most. And you know what the number one answer was? It wasn't the things they did. It wasn't the mistakes they made. It wasn't the failures. It was the things they didn't do. The chances they
didn't take, the dreams they didn't chase, the sacrifices they were too scared to make. They spent their whole lives playing it safe, and at the end they wish they hadn't. Don't be that person. Don't wait until you're old and tired to realize you should have given everything you had when you were young and strong. The time is now. The sacrifice is now. There is no later. Every single person who ever built something great had to destroy something good to get there. You hear me? They had to burn down good to build great. They had to
walk away from comfortable to get to extraordinary. You cannot hold on to the old life and build the new one at the same time. It doesn't work like that. Your hands are full right now. full of distractions, full of nonsense, full of things that make you feel good for a minute but leave you empty for a lifetime. Put that stuff down. Let go. Free your hands up so you can grab something better. I'm telling you right now, the version of you that you need to become is on the other side of everything you don't want
to do. The workouts you skip, the books you don't read, the early mornings you sleep through, the hard conversations you avoid, the risks you won't take. That's where the better you is waiting. And every day you choose not to do those things. You push that version of yourself further and further away until one day you can't even see it anymore. I used to make every excuse in the book. I Used to blame everything and everybody. The economy, my background, my neighborhood, the people around me, the system. I had a list of reasons why I couldn't
make it. And I carried that list around like it was a trophy, like it proved something. All it proved was that I was weak. All it proved was that I wasn't ready to take ownership of my own life. The day I threw that list away was the day everything changed. Because when you stop blaming and start building, that's when the real work begins. That's when the sacrifice means something. You want to know what separates the people who make it from the people who don't. It's not talent. It's not luck. It's not who you know or
where you come from. It's pain tolerance. That's it. How much discomfort can you sit in? How long can you stay in the fire before you quit? Because everybody's going to feel the heat. Everybody's going to want to run. The ones who stay, the ones who sit in that pain and keep working anyway, those are the ones who come out the other side with something real, something nobody can take from them. There's going to be a period in your life where nobody understands what you're doing. Your Friends are going to look at you funny. Your family
is going to question you. People are going to say you've changed, and they're not going to mean it as a compliment. And you know what? They're right. You have changed because you decided to sacrifice the present for a future they can't even see yet. They can't see your vision. They can't see what you're building. All they see is that you're not around anymore. You're not at the cookout. You're not on the group chat. You're not doing what you used to do. And that makes them uncomfortable. Let them be uncomfortable. That's not your problem. Your problem
is building the life you said you wanted. When I was coming up, I lost a lot of friends. Lost a lot of people I thought cared about me. And at first, it hurt. It hurt bad. I thought something was wrong with me. Why don't they want to be around me anymore? Why am I alone? And then I realized it wasn't about me at all. It was about them. My growth was a mirror and they didn't like what they saw when they looked in it. My sacrifice reminded them of everything they weren't willing to give up.
And instead of getting inspired by it, they got threatened by it. So they left and I let Them go because I'd rather be alone building something than surrounded by people who are comfortable doing nothing. Stop looking for permission to go after what you want. Nobody is going to tell you it's okay. Nobody is going to give you a green light. Nobody is going to tap you on the shoulder and say, "Hey, it's your turn now. Go ahead." That's not how it works. You got to take it. You got to decide for yourself that the life
you're living right now is not enough and that you're willing to trade it for something better. That decision happens alone in silence. Usually at night when everybody else is asleep and you're lying there staring at the ceiling, knowing that you were meant for more than this. That quiet voice that whispers to you about your potential. That voice is real. Stop ignoring it. Start feeding it. I don't care if you're tired. I don't care if you worked all day. I don't care if your body hurts and your mind is fried and you just want to lay
down and close your eyes. If you lay down every time you're tired, you'll never get up. You'll spend your whole life on your back looking up at the ceiling wondering what happened to all those dreams you used to have. The answer is you slept on them Literally. You chose rest over work. You chose comfort over progress. You chose the present over the future. And now the future is here and it looks exactly like the past because you never sacrificed anything to make it different. Set the alarm for 5:00 a.m. When it goes off, don't think
about it. Don't lay there negotiating with yourself. Don't give your brain time to come up with reasons why today should be different. Get up, get out of bed, wash your face, start moving. That's the sacrifice. It's not one big moment. It's that first decision of the day. And if you can win that battle, the one between the pillow and the grind, you can win every battle that comes after it. But you got to win that first one every single day. You got to win that first one. I used to think sacrifice was punishment. Like life
was asking me to suffer for no reason. But then I realized sacrifice isn't punishment. It's investment. Every hour you give up partying, that's an investment. Every dollar you don't spend on Nonsense, that's an investment. Every morning you wake up before the sun, that's an investment. And investments compound. They grow. They multiply. You won't see the return tomorrow. You might not see it next month, but you will see it. Because that's how life works. You plant now, you harvest later. But you got to be patient enough to water the seed every day, even when you can't
see it growing. The world we live in right now, everybody wants everything instant. instant results, instant success, instant gratification. And that mentality is destroying people. It's making everybody weak because the second something takes longer than they expected, they quit. The second it gets hard, they stop. The second the results don't show up on time, they move on to the next thing. And they spend their whole life bouncing from one thing to the next, never going deep enough on anything to actually get somewhere. You want to know the secret? There is no secret. It's time. It's
time plus sacrifice plus consistency. That's it. That's the whole formula. And The reason most people don't succeed is because they're not willing to pay that price. Your future self is watching you right now. Think about that. The person you're going to be in 5 years, in 10 years, is looking back at this exact moment, wondering what you're going to do. Are you going to sit there? Are you going to scroll? Are you going to hit snooze again? Or are you going to get up and do the hard thing? Because that future version of you is
either going to thank you or resent you. And the only thing that determines which one it is is what you do right now. Not tomorrow, not Monday, not after the holidays, right now. This moment. Delayed gratification is the most powerful skill a human being can develop. I really believe that the ability to say no to what feels good right now because you know something better is coming later. That's the skill. That's the superpower. And it goes against everything inside of you. Your brain doesn't want to delay anything. Your brain wants the food now, the rest
now, the pleasure now. But your brain is shortsighted. Your brain is wired for survival, not success. So you got to override it. You got to tell your Brain, "We're not doing what feels good today. We're doing what's going to pay off in a year." I had a teacher back in school who used to say something that stuck with me. He said, "The graveyard is the richest place on earth." Because in that graveyard there are books that were never written, businesses that were never started, songs that were never sung, ideas that never saw the light of
day. All because the people who had them chose comfort over courage. They chose the easy present over the hard future. And they took all that potential with them into the ground. Don't you dare take yours with you. Don't you dare let your gifts and your ideas and your dreams die inside you because you were too comfortable to let them out. You want to hear something real. The sacrifice doesn't get easier. It doesn't. People think that at some point you wake up and it just clicks and you don't feel the pain anymore. That's a lie. You
feel it every single day. Every single morning you still don't want to get out of bed. Every single night you still want to take the easy road. The difference is you stop caring about how it feels. You stop asking yourself, "Do I want to do this?" And you start asking yourself, "What happens if I don't?" And The answer to that second question scares you enough to keep going. That's the truth nobody wants to tell you. It never stops hurting. You just get tougher. I remember a night where I was sitting in my car in a
parking lot after working 16 hours. My body was wrecked. My mind was done. And I had two choices. Go home and sleep or go to the gym and get my training in. Everything in me wanted to go home. Every muscle in my body was begging me to quit for the day. And I sat there for 10 minutes fighting with myself. 10 minutes just sitting in that car having a war in my head. And then I drove to the gym. Not because I wanted to, because I made a promise to myself. And I learned that night
that keeping the promise you made to yourself is the most important promise you'll ever keep. Because if you can't trust yourself, who can you trust? Some of you are waiting for the right moment to start sacrificing. You're waiting for Monday. You're waiting for the first of the month. You're waiting for New Year's. You're waiting for your situation to get better. Let me save you some time. There is no right moment. The right moment was Yesterday. The second best moment is right now. Every day you wait is another day you waste. And one day you're going
to run out of days to waste. That's not a threat. That's just math. Your life has a number on it. You don't know what that number is. And every day you spend waiting for the perfect moment to start is a day closer to the end without anything to show for it. You know what nobody tells you about sacrifice? Nobody tells you it gets lonely. real lonely because when you're sacrificing the present, you're saying no to a lot of things other people are saying yes to. You're saying no to the hangouts, no to the trips, no
to the easy path, and people don't like hearing no, so they pull away. And you find yourself in this place where your old life doesn't fit anymore, but your new life hasn't shown up yet. And that middle ground is dark. It's quiet. It's uncomfortable. But that's where the magic happens. That's where you become who you were supposed to be. In the silence, in the loneliness, in the gap between who you were and who you're becoming. Somebody asked me once what was the hardest thing I ever did. And I told them the hardest Thing was not
the training. It wasn't the fights. It wasn't the injuries. The hardest thing was saying no to everything I wanted right now so I could get everything I needed later. That was the hardest thing because your body and your mind are screaming at you every single day to give in. Take the shortcut. Take the easy road. Enjoy yourself. You deserve it. And you got to stand there and tell yourself, "No, I don't deserve it yet. I haven't earned it yet. And I'm not going to pretend like I have. Your phone is the biggest thief of your
sacrifice. I need you to hear me on this. That little screen is stealing your future 1 hour at a time. You pick it up for 2 minutes and look up an hour later and you've watched 30 videos that taught you nothing and moved you nowhere. Multiply that by every day of the week and you've lost 7 hours. Multiply that by a month. That's 30 hours gone. a year, 365 hours of your life thrown away, fed to an algorithm that doesn't care about your dreams. What could you have built with those hours? What could you have
learned? What could you have created? But you chose the screen over the sacrifice. And that's why you're still in the same Place. It's not about being perfect. It's not about getting it right every single time. It's about direction. Are you moving forward? Or are you standing still? Because even on the days you mess up, even on the days you sleep in or skip the workout or eat the junk food, if you get back up the next day and make the sacrifice again, you're still moving forward. The only way you lose is if you stop completely.
The only way you fail is if you quit. So don't quit. Get back up. Get back on the path. Make the sacrifice one more time and then make it again and again and again until it's not a sacrifice anymore until it's just who you are. Look, I'm going to be straight with you. Nobody feels sorry for you. Nobody cares that it's hard. Nobody cares that you're tired or broke or struggling or scared. The world doesn't care about your feelings. The world cares about your results. And results come from action. Action comes from sacrifice. Sacrifice comes
from a decision you make every single morning when your feet hit the floor. Am I going to give today everything I got or am I going to coast? And most people coast. Most people sleepwalk through their days doing just enough to get by and then sit around wondering why they don't have more. You're not going to be most people. Not anymore. I had a moment where it all clicked for me. I was 23 years old, broke, working a job I hated, coming home to an apartment I couldn't really afford. And I looked around and I
realized this is what not sacrificing looks like. This is what choosing comfort every day for years creates a life you don't want. A life you didn't design. A life that just happened to you because you were too scared to make it happen yourself. And from that day forward, I decided I would rather suffer for 5 years building something than suffer for 50 years regretting that I never tried. And that's the choice in front of you right now. Short-term pain or long-term regret. Pick one. You think about the guys who really made it. The guys who
changed their lives completely. The ones who went from nothing to something. You think they had it easy? You think they woke up one morning and it all just fell into place? Hell no. They bled for it. They cried for it. They sat in rooms by themselves at 2:00 in the morning wondering if any of it was going to work out. They missed birthdays. They missed holidays. They missed years of their lives that they can never get back. But they made that trade willingly because they understood something most people never will. The present is the price
and the future is the prize. And you cannot win the prize without paying the price. There's a reason they call it sacrifice and not just hard work. Sacrifice means you're giving something up. You're losing something. You're letting go of something you want right now for something you need later. And that loss is real. It hurts. It stings. Some days it feels like you're going backwards. Some days it feels like the whole world is moving on without you while you're stuck in the grind. But you're not stuck. You're building. You're just building underground where nobody can
see it yet. And one day that foundation is going to hold up something so massive that people won't believe it. But you'll know. You'll know. It started with all those nights you chose work over sleep. All those weekends you chose the grind over the party. All those moments you said not yet. When everything inside you was screaming right now. I'm talking to the person right now who's on the edge. You're sitting there listening to this and part of you wants to change and part of you wants to stay the same. Part of you is fired
up and part of you is already thinking about what you're going to eat later or what show you're going to watch tonight. I see you and I'm telling you right now that second part of you is the enemy. That comfortable, lazy part of your brain that whispers just one more day of rest. That voice has stolen more dreams than any failure ever could. Failure doesn't kill dreams. Comfort does. Comfort is the silent killer. It doesn't come at you with a knife. It comes with a pillow and a blanket and a warm bed. And it puts
your dreams to sleep so gently you don't even notice they're dying. Do you want to know what sacrifice looks like in real life? It looks boring. It looks repetitive. It looks like the same thing every single day. Over and over and over again. Wake up early. Work, study, train, sleep, do it again. There's no glory in it. There's no highlight reel. There's no crowd cheering you on while you're in the middle of it. It's just you and the work day after day after day. And most people can't handle that. Most people need the excitement. They
need the drama. They need something to happen fast or they lose interest. But the people who win are the ones who fell in love with the boring parts. The ones who showed up on Tuesday the same way they showed up on Monday. The ones who didn't need a reason to keep going because the going itself was the reason. I want every person hearing this to understand something. You have more time than you think but less than you want. And every day you waste is a day you can't get back. You can't rewind the clock. You
can't go back to last year and make different choices. All you got is today. And today is enough. Today is more than enough if you use it right. One day of real sacrifice, one day of real work, one day of choosing the future over the present. That's all I'm asking you for. Give me one day and then give me another one and another. String enough of those days together and you'll Have a life that doesn't even look like the one you're living right now. I believe in something my grandfather told me when I was young.
He said, "Boy, the man who plants a tree knowing he'll never sit in its shade has begun to understand the meaning of life. I didn't get it back then. I was a kid. I wanted the shade right now. I wanted the fruit right now. But now I understand. The sacrifice is the planting. The present is the soil and the future is the tree. You might not see it grow for a long time. You might water it and tend to it and protect it for years before it gives you anything back. But when it does, when
that tree finally stands tall and you sit in its shade, you'll know. You'll know that every hard morning and every lonely night and every time you said no to what you wanted was worth it. Every single second of it was worth it. So, here's what I need you to do. Stop treating this like it's just another video you're going to forget by tomorrow. Take this personally because it is personal. Your life is personal. Your future is personal. And the sacrifice you make or Don't make starting today is the most personal thing there is. Nobody else
can do it for you. Nobody else is going to do it for you. It's on you. It's always been on you. And deep down you know that. You've always known that. So stop running from it. Stop hiding from it. Step up. Sacrifice the present. Build the future. And don't look back. I want you to think about something for a second. Think about the person you were a year ago. Think about all the things you said you were going to do, the goals you set, the changes you were going to make. How many of them did
you actually follow through on? How many of those promises did you keep to yourself? If the answer is not many, then you already know what the problem is. It's not your circumstances. It's not your situation. It's not the world being unfair. It's you choosing the present over the future every single time. You chose the easy day over the hard one. You chose the comfortable night over the productive one. And a year went by and nothing changed. Don't let another year go by like that. Don't be sitting here 12 months from now listening to another one
of these and still be in the same exact Spot. Make this the last time you hear these words and do nothing about it. Let me ask you something and I want you to be honest with yourself. If you kept living the way you're living right now for the next 5 years, where would you end up? Same job, same apartment, same bank account, same body, same excuses. If that picture scares you, then good. Use that fear. Let it fuel you. Let it push you out of that comfortable little box you've built for yourself. Because that box
isn't protecting you. It's trapping you. And the only way out is through the sacrifice, through the pain, through the work that nobody wants to do, but everybody wishes they had done. I heard somebody say once that discipline is just choosing between what you want now and what you want most. And I think about that every single day. What do I want now? Sleep, comfort, pleasure, ease. What do I want most? Freedom. Respect. A legacy. a life I'm proud of. And those two things can't live in the same house. You got to kick one of them
out. And if you're smart, if you're really about this, you'll kick out the one that feels good today and keep the one that builds something for Tomorrow. That's the sacrifice. That's the whole game right there. You don't get to have it all right now. You don't. You don't get to have the future you dream about and the comfort you're holding on to today. One of them has to go. And if you're sitting there thinking you can somehow figure out a way to keep both, you're lying to yourself. You're lying straight to your own face. The
life you want costs something. It costs today. It costs right now. It costs the version of you that wants to sleep in and scroll and do nothing and pretend like tomorrow is going to be any different than yesterday. You want that future, then you got to burn the present down. You want to be great, you want to be champion, then stop living like today don't matter. Today is the only thing that matters. What you do right now is the only thing you got. Tomorrow ain't promised. Yesterday is gone. All you got is this moment and
you're wasting it. You're throwing it away on things that don't mean nothing. And then you sit there crying about why your life ain't changing. Your life ain't changing because you ain't changing. You're the same person today that you were 6 months ago. Same habits, same excuses, same Weak little story you keep telling yourself. Let me tell you something nobody wants to hear. The good times are killing you. The comfort is killing you. the ease and the pleasure and the fun you're having right now. That is the thing standing between you and everything you say you
want. You think you deserve a break. You think you earned a night off from what? What have you done? What have you actually accomplished that earned you the right to sit down and rest? Nothing. You've done nothing. And I'm not saying that to be mean. I'm saying that because somebody needs to say it to you straight. How bad do you want it? I want it bad. How bad? Bad enough to give up what you got right now? Bad enough to walk away from the party? Bad enough to turn off the phone? Bad enough to sit
in a room by yourself and work when nobody's watching and nobody cares? That's the real question. It ain't about how bad you want the dream. Everybody wants the dream. Everybody wants the house and the car and the money and the respect. The question is, what are you willing to lose to get there? What are you willing to sacrifice right now, Today, this week, this month? Because the price of greatness is the present. That's the currency. That's the only thing you got to trade. I grew up with nothing. Absolutely nothing. No money, no connections, no silver
spoon. Nobody was coming to help me. Nobody was going to open a door for me. I knew from a young age that whatever I was going to get in this life, I was going to have to go take it myself. I sacrificed my social
life. I sacrificed sleep. I sacrificed everything that felt good in the moment because I knew what I was building was bigger than any of that. People don't understand what sacrifice really means. They think sacrifice is missing a party. And if
you can't do that, then stop talking about your dreams because they're not dreams. They're wishes. And wishes don't come true without work. I remember back in the day, people used to ask me why I was always in the gym, always training, always running. They'd be going out on a Friday night and I'd be in the gym by myself doing rounds on the bag, nobody watching, nobody filming it, nobody patting me on the back saying, "Good job." Just me and the work. And they'd say, "Man, you're missing out. You're missing out on life." And I'd look
at them and think, "No, you're the one missing out. You just don't know it yet. Because while you're out having a good time tonight, I'm building something. And one day that something is going to show up and you're going to look at me and wonder how I got there. I got there because I was here in the dark alone, sacrificing the present for the future. You know what the problem is with most people? Most people want the results, but they don't want the process. They want the body, but they don't want the gym. They want
the money, but they don't want the grind. They want the success, But they don't want the sacrifice. You can't have one without the other. It's a package deal. And the package is heavy. The package is painful. The package requires you to put down everything that feels good right now and pick up something that hurts. And you got to carry that thing every single day until the day comes when it starts to pay off. And that day might be a year from now. It might be 5 years from now. It might be 10. But it will
come. If you keep going, it will come. Listen, man. I'm not asking you to go do something crazy. I'm not asking you to climb a mountain or run a marathon tomorrow. I'm asking you to do the simple hard things. Wake up when you said you would. Put the phone down. Open the book. Go to the gym. Stay late. Start the business plan. Have the hard conversation. Do the thing you've been putting off for weeks, months, years. That's the sacrifice I'm talking about. It's not one big dramatic moment. It's a thousand small choices you make every
single day where you choose the hard thing over the easy thing. And those small choices, they stack up. They compound. And one day you look up and Your whole life is different because you made those choices when nobody was watching and nobody cared. You're going to have to let some things go. You understand me? Some people got to go. Some habits got to go. Some places you've been hanging around at got to go. If it's not feeding your future, it's eating your present. And you can't afford that. Not anymore. Not at this point in your
life. You've already wasted enough time. You've already thrown away enough days doing nothing. How many more are you willing to lose? How many more Mondays are you going to wake up and say, "This week is going to be different." And then do the exact same thing you did last week. At some point, you got to draw the line. You got to look at yourself and say, "Enough." Today, the sacrifice starts for real. I had a coach who told me something I never forgot. He said, "Son, the gap between where you are and where you want
to be is filled with all the things you're not willing to give up." I sat with that for a long time because I realized all the things I was holding on to were the exact things holding me back.
They talk about it at dinner. They tell everybody what they're going to do. But when it's time to actually do it, when it's time to get up at 4 in the morning and sit in the cold and do the work nobody sees, they're nowhere. They're asleep. They're comfortable. They're wrapped up in the same routine they've been in for years, acting like something
is going to change by magic. Nothing changes by magic. Nothing changes by wishing. The only thing that changes your life is what you're willing to give up today for what you want tomorrow. I trained with a guy years ago who was the most talented fighter I ever seen. Hands like lightning, footwork like a dancer. Could have been champion of the world easy. But every weekend he was out. Every weekend he was partying. Every weekend he was choosing the present over the future. And you know where he is now? Nowhere. Working a regular job. Talking about
what he could have been. That's the saddest phrase in any language. What I could have been. Don't let that be your story. Don't let people look at you in 20 years and say, "Man, he had so much potential." Potential without sacrifice is just a fancy word for wasted. You got to understand something about time. Time don't care about you. Time don't slow down because you're not ready. Time don't wait because you're scared. Time keeps moving. Whether you're building something or sitting on your ass doing nothing. And every minute you spend on comfort is a minute
you'll never get back. My biggest fear is Being 70 years old, sitting in a chair, looking back at my life, and realizing
I played it safe. Realizing I had the chance to be something, and I chose to be comfortable instead. That scares me more than any fight, more than any loss, more than any pain I could ever feel. Because pain goes away. Regret doesn't. Regret sits with you forever. And I refuse to let that be my ending. So I sacrifice every single day. I sacrifice. Not because I want to, because I have to, because the alternative is a life I can't live with. There was a study done where they asked old people in nursing homes what they
regretted most. And you know what the number one answer was? It wasn't the things they did. It wasn't the mistakes they made. It wasn't the failures. It was the things they didn't do. The chances they didn't take, the dreams they didn't chase, the sacrifices they were too scared to make. They spent their whole lives playing it safe, and at the end they wish they hadn't. Don't be that person. Don't wait until you're old and tired to realize you should have given everything you had when you were young and strong. The time is now. The sacrifice
is now. There is no later. Every single person who ever built something great had to destroy something good to get there. You hear me? They had to burn down good to build great. They had to walk away from comfortable to get to extraordinary. You cannot hold on to the old life and build the new one at the same time. It doesn't work like that. Your hands are full right now. full of distractions, full of nonsense, full of things that make you feel good for a minute but leave you empty for a lifetime. Put that stuff
down. Let go. Free your hands up so you can grab something better. I'm telling you right now, the version of you that you need to become is on the other side of everything you don't want to do.
I had a list of reasons why I couldn't make it. And I carried that list around like it was a trophy, like it proved something. All it proved was that I was weak. All it proved was that I wasn't ready to take ownership of my own life. The day I threw that list away was the day everything changed. Because when you stop blaming and start building, that's when the
real work begins. That's when the sacrifice means something. You want to know what separates the people who make it from the people who don't. It's not talent. It's not luck. It's not who you know or where you come from. It's pain tolerance. That's it. How much discomfort can you sit in? How long can you stay in the fire before you quit? Because everybody's going to feel the heat. Everybody's going to want to run. The ones who stay, the ones who sit in that pain and keep working anyway, those are the ones who come out the
other side with something real, something nobody can take from them. There's going to be a period in your life where nobody understands what you're doing. Your Friends are going to look at you funny. Your family is going to question you. People are going to say you've changed, and they're not going to mean it as a compliment. And you know what? They're right. You have changed because you decided to sacrifice the present for a future they can't even see yet. They can't see your vision. They can't see what you're building. All they see is that you're
not around anymore. You're not at the cookout. You're not on the group chat. You're not doing what you used to do. And that makes them uncomfortable. Let them be uncomfortable. That's not your problem. Your problem is building the life you said you wanted. When I was coming up, I lost a lot of friends. Lost a lot of people I thought cared about me. And at first, it hurt. It hurt bad. I thought something was wrong with me. Why don't they want to be around me anymore? Why am I alone? And then I realized it wasn't
about me at all.
You got to decide for yourself that the life you're living right now is not enough and that you're willing to trade it for something better. That decision happens alone in silence. Usually at night when everybody else is asleep and you're lying there staring at the ceiling, knowing that you were meant for more than this. That quiet voice that whispers to you about your potential. That voice is real. Stop
ignoring it. Start feeding it. I don't care if you're tired. I don't care if you worked all day. I don't care if your body hurts and your mind is fried and you just want to lay down and close your eyes. If you lay down every time you're tired, you'll never get up. You'll spend your whole life on your back looking up at the ceiling wondering what happened to all those dreams you used to have. The answer is you slept on them Literally. You chose rest over work. You chose comfort over progress. You chose the present
over the future. And now the future is here and it looks exactly like the past because you never sacrificed anything to make it different. Set the alarm for 5:00 a.m. When it goes off, don't think about it. Don't lay there negotiating with yourself. Don't give your brain time to come up with reasons why today should be different. Get up, get out of bed, wash your face, start moving. That's the sacrifice. It's not one big moment. It's that first decision of the day. And if you can win that battle, the one between the pillow and the
grind, you can win every battle that comes after it. But you got to win that first one every single day. You got to win that first one. I used to think sacrifice was punishment. Like life was asking me to suffer for no reason. You might not
see it next month, but you will see it. Because that's how life works. You plant now, you harvest later. But you got to be patient enough to water the seed every day, even when you can't see it growing. The world we live in right now, everybody wants everything instant. instant results, instant success, instant gratification. And that mentality is destroying people. It's making everybody weak because the second something takes longer than they expected, they quit. The second it gets hard, they stop. The second the results don't show up on time, they move on to the next
thing. And they spend their whole life bouncing from one thing to the next, never going deep enough on anything to actually get somewhere. You want to know the secret? There is no secret. It's time. It's time plus sacrifice plus consistency.
Because that future version of you is either going to thank you or resent you. And the only thing that determines which one it is is what you do right now. Not tomorrow, not Monday, not after the holidays, right now. This moment. Delayed gratification is the most powerful skill a human being can develop. I really believe that the ability to say no to what feels good right now
because you know something better is coming later. That's the skill. That's the superpower. And it goes against everything inside of you. Your brain doesn't want to delay anything. Your brain wants the food now, the rest now, the pleasure now. But your brain is shortsighted. Your brain is wired for survival, not success. So you got to override it. You got to tell your Brain, "We're not doing what feels good today. We're doing what's going to pay off in a year." I had a teacher back in school who used to say something that stuck with me. He
said, "The graveyard is the richest place on earth." Because in that graveyard there are books that were never written, businesses that were never started, songs that were never sung, ideas that never saw the light of day.
You feel it every single day. Every single morning you still don't want to get out of bed. Every single night you still want to take the easy road. The difference is you stop caring about how it feels. You stop asking yourself, "Do I want to do this?" And you start asking yourself, "What happens if I don't?" And The answer to that
second question scares you enough to keep going. That's the truth nobody wants to tell you. It never stops hurting. You just get tougher. I remember a night where I was sitting in my car in a parking lot after working 16 hours.
And I learned that night that keeping the promise you made to yourself is the most important promise you'll ever keep.
And one day you're going to run out of days to waste. That's not a threat. That's just math. Your life has a number on it. You don't know what that number is. And every day you spend waiting for the perfect moment to start is a day closer to the end without anything to show for it. You know what nobody tells you about sacrifice? Nobody tells
you it gets lonely. real lonely because when you're sacrificing the present, you're saying no to a lot of things other people are saying yes to. You're saying no to the hangouts, no to the trips, no to the easy path, and people don't like hearing no, so they pull away. And you find yourself in this place where your old life doesn't fit anymore, but your new life hasn't shown up yet. And that middle ground is dark. It's quiet. It's uncomfortable. But that's where the magic happens. That's where you become who you were supposed to be. In
the silence, in the loneliness, in the gap between who you were and who you're becoming. Somebody asked me once what was the hardest thing I ever did. And I told them the hardest Thing was not the training.
Your phone is the biggest thief of your sacrifice. I need you to hear me on this. That little screen is stealing your future 1 hour at a time. You pick it up for 2 minutes and look up an hour later and you've watched 30 videos that taught you nothing and moved you nowhere. Multiply that by every day of the week and you've lost 7 hours. Multiply that by
a month. That's 30 hours gone. a year, 365 hours of your life thrown away, fed to an algorithm that doesn't care about your dreams. What could you have built with those hours? What could you have learned? What could you have created? But you chose the screen over the sacrifice. And that's why you're still in the same Place. It's not about being perfect. It's not about getting it right every single time. It's about direction. Are you moving forward? Or are you standing still? Because even on the days you mess up, even on the days you sleep
in or skip the workout or eat the junk food, if you get back up the next day and make the sacrifice again, you're still moving forward. Nobody cares that
it's hard. Nobody cares that you're tired or broke or struggling or scared. The world doesn't care about your feelings. The world cares about your results. And results come from action. Action comes from sacrifice. Sacrifice comes from a decision you make every single morning when your feet hit the floor. Am I going to give today everything I got or am I going to coast? And most people coast. Most people sleepwalk through their days doing just enough to get by and then sit around wondering why they don't have more. You're not going to be most people. Not
anymore. I had a moment where it all clicked for me. I was 23 years old, broke, working a job I hated, coming home to an apartment I couldn't really afford. And I looked around and I realized this is what not sacrificing looks like. This is what choosing comfort every day for years creates a life you don't want. A life you didn't design. A life that just happened to you because you were too scared to make it happen yourself. And from that day forward, I decided I would rather suffer for 5 years building something than suffer
for 50 years regretting that I never tried. And that's the choice in front of you right now. Short-term pain or long-term regret. Pick one. You think about the guys who really made it. The guys who changed their lives completely.
The present is the price and the future is the prize. And you cannot win the prize without paying the price. There's a reason they call it sacrifice and not just hard work. Sacrifice means you're giving something up. You're losing something. You're letting go of something you want right now for something you need later. And that loss is real. It hurts. It stings. Some days it
feels like you're going backwards. Some days it feels like the whole world is moving on without you while you're stuck in the grind. But you're not stuck. You're building. You're just building underground where nobody can see it yet. And one day that foundation is going to hold up something so massive that people won't believe it. But you'll know. You'll know. It started with all those nights you chose work over sleep. All those weekends you chose the grind over the party. All those moments you said not yet. When everything inside you was screaming right now. I'm
talking to the person right now who's on the edge. You're sitting there listening to this and part of you wants to change and part of you wants to stay the same. Part of you is fired up and part of you is already thinking about what you're going to eat later or what show you're going to watch tonight. I see you and I'm telling you right now that second part of you is the enemy. That comfortable, lazy part of your brain that whispers just one more day of rest. That voice has stolen more dreams than any
failure ever could. Failure doesn't kill dreams. Comfort does. Comfort is the silent killer. It doesn't come at you with a knife. It comes with a pillow and a blanket and a warm bed. And it puts your dreams to sleep so gently you don't even notice they're dying. Do you want to know what sacrifice looks like in real life? It looks boring. It looks repetitive. It looks like the same thing every single day. Over and over and over again. Wake up early. Work, study, train, sleep, do it again. There's no glory in it. There's no highlight
reel. There's no crowd cheering you on while you're in the middle of it. It's just you and the work day after day after day. And most people can't handle that. Most people need the excitement. They need the drama. They need something to happen fast or they lose interest. But the people who win are the ones who fell in love with the boring parts. The ones who showed up on Tuesday the same way they showed up on Monday. The ones who didn't need a reason to keep going because the going itself was the reason. I want
every person hearing this to understand something. You have more time than you think but less than you want. And every day you waste is a day you can't get back. You can't rewind the clock. You can't go back to last year and make different choices. All you got is today. And today is enough. Today is more than enough if you use it right. One day of real sacrifice, one day of real work, one day of choosing the future over the present. That's all I'm asking you for. Give me one day and then give me another
one and another. The present is the soil and the future
is the tree. You might not see it grow for a long time. You might water it and tend to it and protect it for years before it gives you anything back. But when it does, when that tree finally stands tall and you sit in its shade, you'll know. You'll know that every hard morning and every lonely night and every time you said no to what you wanted was worth it. Every single second of it was worth it. So, here's what I need you to do. Stop treating this like it's just another video you're going to
forget by tomorrow. Take this personally because it is personal. Your life is personal. Your future is personal. And the sacrifice you make or Don't make starting today is the most personal thing there is. Nobody else can do it for you.
How many of them did you actually follow through on? How many of those promises did you keep to yourself? If the answer is not many, then you already know what the problem is. It's not your circumstances. It's not your situation. It's not the world being unfair. It's you choosing the present over the future every single time. You chose the easy day over the hard one.
You chose the comfortable night over the productive one. And a year went by and nothing changed. Don't let another year go by like that. Don't be sitting here 12 months from now listening to another one of these and still be in the same exact Spot. Make this the last time you hear these words and do nothing about it. Let me ask you something and I want you to be honest with yourself. If you kept living the way you're living right now for the next 5 years, where would you end up? Same job, same apartment, same
bank account, same body, same excuses. If that picture scares you, then good. Use that fear. Let it fuel you. Let it push you out of that comfortable little box you've built for yourself. Because that box isn't protecting you. It's trapping you. And the only way out is through the sacrifice, through the pain, through the work that nobody wants to do, but everybody wishes they had done. I heard somebody say once that discipline is just choosing between what you want now and what you want most. And I think about that every single day. What do I
want now? Sleep, comfort, pleasure, ease. What do I want most? Freedom. Respect. A legacy. a life I'm proud of. And those two things can't live in the same house. You got to kick one of them out. And if you're smart, if you're really about this, you'll kick out the one that feels good today and keep the one that builds something for Tomorrow. That's the sacrifice. That's the whole game right there.
