[Music] we're going to Exodus chapter 17 Exodus chapter 17 Exodus chapter 17 Exodus chap 17 verse 8- 16 ah glory to God I feel somebody putting a demand on the word right now I can feel it in my spirit I feel somebody whether you online or in this building I feel somebody putting a Demand on the word because you know the word will do whatever you need it to do you got to give a destination to the word so I feel somebody saying God I didn't just show up but I need this word to be
deposited in my spirit cuz you know what I'm dealing with and if that's you I just want you to stay tuned open your heart open your mind Open Your Soul if you have Exodus 17 just say I got it amen let's start reading at verse 8 Then amalec now AMC came and fought with Israel in ridom and Moses said to Joshua choose us some men and go out fight with amalec tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand so Joshua did as Moses said to him
and fought with amalec and Moses Aaron and her went up to the top of the hill and so it was when Moses held up his hand that Israel Prevailed and when he let down his hand amalec prevailed so Moses hands became heavy so they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it and Aaron and her supported his hands one on one side and the other on the other side and his hands were steady until the going down of the Sun so Joshua defeated amalec and his people with the edge of
the sword then the Lord said to Moses write this for a memorial in the book and recount it in the hearing of Joshua that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of AMAC from under Heaven wait wait a minute go back to that I just want to read that one more time cuz I think this is one of the scriptures that's going to be freedom for somebody then the Lord said to Moses write this for a memorial in the book and recount it in the hearing of Joshua that I will utterly blot out the remembrance
of amlc from under heaven and Moses built an altar and Called its name the Lord is my banner some versions that you might be reading might say Jehovah nii which is translated the Lord is my banner for he said because the Lord has sworn because the Lord has sworn you know it's something when the Lord swears the Lord will have war with amalec from generation to generation and and a few months ago several months ago I talked from this passage but I felt such a yearning in my Spirit to go back to it cuz I
heard these words you left too much meat on the bone so I said God this is this is you you know I mean I don't want them to think I didn't have nothing to say he said you just say what I tell you to say and so I'm coming back to this passage and he gave me a different vantage point and I'm going to title it get in position get in position can we pray father in the name of Jesus I thank you for this moment in time I thank you for this chyros moment and
I pray father that as we stand in your presence those that are watching online those that are in this building I pray that the manifested presence of the Holy Spirit show up in this place speak through your manservant right now do not let the Frailty of who I am get in the way of your word your word is stronger than me your word is stronger than our mind father so equip my tongue to give Them what you have given to me and let every soul leave out of here changed in Jesus name in Jesus name
Amen on your way till your SE just give him a praise and say I'm getting in position woo I heard you sister she said loud I'm getting in position you know um Believe It or Not uh I growing up I was a Avid Sports person I L sports and I actually played Sports amen thank you I actually played Sports I was in tracking field I was Baseball I did a little football I even tried to swim a little bit and then they tried to get me in the deep end I said no you're taking me
too fast the challenge with me in sports was I also grew up in a Holiness Pentecostal household now if you grew up Holiness you would understand where the challenge of playing sports and growing up in a church that has service at least three or four nights a week one conflicted with my sports schedule So imagine me being 8 and 10 years old and having to go to my coach in the middle of track practice and he say hey we've just finished warm up and he say Williams where are you going I say uh I got
to leave coach why I got to go to Bible study Bible study and back then we didn't call it Bible study was prayer meeting so I had to tell my coach and my team members at 10: that I had to leave Le practice to go to prayer meeting now that don't seem like nothing to y'all But listen I was traumatized I got joked on laughed on because who leaves practice and go to prayer meeting at 10: so my parents had a little more grace on me when I got into junior high I was able to
join the basketball team and that's where I excelled yeah yeah we had church still a lot but I only had to go on Tuesday night so I could attend practice at the basketball team and being a part of team sports helped me realize two important Factors about sports it was individual positions and team positions these are two things that go along with playing in any team sport individual positions are this they are the they are the spot that you are assigned based off of your skill set they are what a coach looks at you and
say listen I see where you will best perform form and so I'm going to assign you to that position and then team positions are what happens as the coach presents plays are strategies and the Team position are the spots that everybody plays collectively so got into basketball and I felt like I would be best served as a point guard now real quick lesson for those that don't know basketball they're essentially five positions you got point guard shooting guard C a power forward and a small forward right so the point guard is really the one that
gets the ball they get to come down the court and they smooth you know All that and and the forwards you know they everybody has validity in the positions that they play I came to basketball wanting to be the point guard my coach thought I would be best served as the forward we disagreed so I opted to play point guard though I was assigned to be a power forward now there was nothing wrong with being a forward it's just that at that time growing up in the mid late 80s and 90s there was a little
young man named Michael Jordan who was also a point guard and so everybody including myself felt like we were young Michaels and so we got on the court everybody wanted to emulate what we saw on TV because we thought that that was the Prime position to play it made dissatisfied about what I was assigned to do because what I wanted to do was what I saw instead of playing to my strength and so we would get in the game and the coach would say Williams get in Your position and I would then have to go
back to what I was assigned I spent more time trying to play a position I wasn't called to do instead of playing what I was assigned to do why because the coach could see deficiencies in my skill set that I could not see he saw my blind side because I'm right-handed so I could dribble I could kill you with the right hand but then we go over to this left Hand I you know I I it it didn't work as well as the right hand worked and so people the opposing team could see where my
deficiency was and when they would come after me they would come to my left side because they knew that's where I was weak but because I was so focused on doing something that I didn't have the skill set to do but I had the warant to do I would then still opt to play a position that I didn't have the skill Set or the ability to do instead of playing where I could be most useful now this becomes a problem because when the coach calls for the team to get in position instead of me playing
my role with the team now I am playing another role and it throws off the dynamic of the team so the coach is saying team get in position but all of us are wanting to play something else than what we are assigned so what happens as the opposing team is Coming the coach sees that they can see where our weakness is they can see where our deficiency is and the coach is saying get in position but because all of us are doing our own thing we think we know better than the coach who can see
from the sidelines and see what we cannot see that's coming and so because we're all scattered across the place what would have been an easy Victory now is a humiliating defeat because all of us are out of Position and I I wonder now as I look at our churches and as I look at the body of Christ I wonder if we have the same problem if the individual positions that we have been assigned to if the things that we have been called to are not satisfactory to us and we have a lot of people who
are looking at other roles in the church and saying I would rather do that because it looks like that is better than what I've been assigned to do uh and instead of working in your Strength uh you try to operate outside of your calling so that when the enemy comes and when the culture is the holy spirit sees that there's an attack that's coming from the enemy and the cult the Holy Spirit tells the church get in position I wonder is that the reason why we see so much havoc in the church because instead of
having a strong defense against the enemy instead of everybody being in the place that they've been assigned we're running All over the place because we see what other people are doing I want to preach instead of be a PMT cuz I like the stage maybe that's not your skill set and it wasn't the fact that I could not learn to be better it's just the fact that I had did not have the discipline to stay where I was assigned until the skill set grew up in me and I could move from this position to the
next I'm I'm preaching better than y'all shouting because I know I'm Talking to somebody in here that you are frustrated because you feel like the coach does not see you where you are and the coach is saying I assigned you somewhere because I see your deficiencies better than you do I see where you're weak I see where you can't dribble like the other people and I don't want you to get into a situation where the enemy will come and attack you at your weakest because remember there is always an enemy lying in Weight I come
to tell you that there is always an enemy that's lying in weight to overtake you at your most vulnerable state and that enemy has a name and his name is amalec who is amalec let me talk to you about who amalec is amalec in this script scripture is the one that came up against Israel amalec birthed the people the am amalekites and they come at a time when we're most vulnerable at our most at our most vulnerable time when we're weak even the Name AMAC comes from the root word AMAC which means to travail vexation
and sorrow amlc is a spirit the spirit of amalec is one that's cunning that's cowardice it is a spirit that will find you at your most vulnerable state when you least expect it and will come and attack you not when you're strong not when you just came out of worship not when you feel real built up and anointed but amalec will come when you least expected when you're weak When you haven't been to church when you haven't been praying and all of a sudden just like a coward here comes amlc to attack you when you
least expect it it is what happened in the text amlc came at Israel Israel when they had just got out of a battle Israel a few verses before that had just crossed the Red Sea they had been shouting the victory that had just come through they had seen Pharaoh's Army drowned in the Red Sea uh and here they are crossing one battle Not knowing that they getting ready to step into another because there is a cunning enemy that's always lying in wait I wonder if there's anybody in this Sanctuary that feels like God I just
came through one thing and I and before I could even stop praising you for that one Victory here comes another fight right around the corner God can you at least give me a break uh I just got over one thing uh I just got finished dancing over one thing uh and people shouting With me over one thing uh and I step outside uh and here's another battle that I had to get in that I wasn't prepared for in the first place that enemy uh came cunning Deuteronomy 25 Deuteronomy 25 let's go to that scripture I
want you to see this this shows the typ type of people that amalec was the Bible says in Deuteronomy 25:1 17-19 remember what amalec did to you on the way this is talking to Israel this is Moses talking to Israel did to you on The way as you were coming out of Egypt how he met you on the way and attacked your rear ranks all of the stragglers at your rear when you were tired and weary and he did not fear God this is the strategy of AMC this is the spirit of amlc in your
life it is the thing that waits to you're weak and to you're tired it is not the thing that hit you when you come out of worship when you come out of womanly Vibe and you feel like you got all the strength no no no no no Amlc will wait until you're grieving amlc will wait until you're sick amlc will wait till you feel like you're at your lowest and then when you feel like you can just rest amlc will step in and attack because that's how cowards do some of us in here are battling
the spirit of amalec the other thing about AMC that you have to know is amalec wasn't a stranger to Israel amalec was from the same bloodline as Israel amlc was Israel's cousin amlc was from Esau Israel out of Jacob the Israelite people came from the line of Israel and so now Israel Jacob and Esau were brothers so they came out of the womb fighting amalec has been Waring with Israel since they got out of the womb the line the lineage has been there War amalec represents the thing in your life that seems to be reoccurring
every generation after generation every cursed generation at cursed generation it seems to be the thing that keeps popping up you thought You got over it here and here it is again in another form Amala is a thing that you think that you can't get rid of can't get by but I came to let you know that God is getting ready to blot out the remembrance of amlc over your life that's why I wanted to read that scripture again uh because somebody thinks you're going to have to deal with amlc for the rest of your days
uh but I came to tell you the end right now that God is getting ready to stomp on the Head of amalec on your behalf uh you're not going to have to go into the Next Generation uh with that same sickness uh you better tell the doctor Noah uh this stops with me uh because today uh amlc is getting ready to get crushed Amal amlc represents the thing the curse the another translation for amalec also is the people with the crushed head because the spirit of amalec always shows up in different forms check it out
Jesus didn't get Tempted after he had just got baptized when did Jesus get tempted the spirit of amlc came after he had been in the wilderness 40 days and the Bible said he was a hungered Jesus was hungry and then all of a sudden here Temptation comes uh because amlc does doesn't come when you're strong amlc comes when he feels like you're going to give in and you get weak that's why you cannot forsake the sembling of yourselves not just in a physical Place uh but you Cannot forsake uh not being prayed up uh and
not being in worship uh because amalec is lurking uh and seen when you're weak and you say oh I'm just going to stop going for a while no no no time is too tough uh you better get back in position uh because amalec is waiting for you to step out a position so he can pounce on you but tell somebody I'm getting back to where I belong I'm getting back to where I belong cuz I can't deal with Amalec I got a strategy I got to fight this spirit and so amlc comes and let me
give you this what is interesting that I found in studying is that one translation of amlc is the people with the crushed head it is interesting to note if you all remember in Genesis the enemy did not come to Eve when she was with Adam the the enemy came to Eve when she was vulnerable and by herself it's that same Spirit of amalec he waits to you who are not covered he waits till You are uncovered and he comes because amalec also means trying to denounce and diminish the assignment and testimony of God in your
life what am I trying to tell you the thing that's coming against you is trying to get you not to believe God but not to trust him it is not that Israel didn't believe there was a God the problem is they didn't trust God and is some of our problem here today it is not that you don't believe there is a God but your situations cause you to Doubt him uh your circumstance cause you to lose trust in him and that is the purpose of the spirit of amalec AMC says if I can get you
to distrust God if I can get you to lose faith in God uh I can catch you when you're down uh and I can attack you uh and I will attack you when you least expected uh I will come in the moment that you're most vulnerable because I don't care about you I don't fear your God I'm just trying to steal your Testimony amalec comes to steal the very thing that God has given you that's going to be the thing to help you to overcome it is the spirit of amalec and so what Israel had
to face was the enemy that was ruthless and that was cunning and here God is saying to Moses I'm going to give you a strategy but you got to learn about positions Hallelujah I'm going to give you something to defeat amalec I'm going to give you something that's going to blot out because God is Already said I don't like AMAC because he don't like y'all do you know that there are some enemies that God has taken on just because they're fighting against you that's shouting news for somebody you ought to tell that enemy you got
me and God against you I can sit back because if God is for me the whole world can stand against me and it's still not enough because God is fighting on my behalf because you mess with the wrong Person so God is saying to to Israel through Moses I'm going to defeat amalec on your behalf I'm going to blot out the remebrance of amalec but there are some things that you have to do first and Moses starts to get his people in position the first thing I want you to know about getting in position is
that you have to identify the right person for the right position the first thing you have to do is identify the right person for the Right position position position being a place where someone or something is placed so what happens is Moses calls for somebody that we haven't seen here to for in scripture Moses says Joshua Joshua come and find some people to fight against the amalekites now we haven't seen Joshua we haven't even heard his name Joshua is a unknown but Moses trusts Joshua with a leadership position why because leaders have to be strong
enough to fight and submit enough To listen Moses could I'm going to say that again for somebody over here if you want to be chosen to be in a leadership position you have to be bold enough to lead strong enough to lead uh have favor to lead uh but you have to be submitted enough to listen because God wasn't speaking to Joshua at the time God was still speaking to Moses and Joshua would have been outranked if he tried to go ahead of Moses but Joshua said I'm Submitted where I can be strong to lead
in this place uh but I'm still listening to where the voice of God is coming from and that's a problem I see in the church uh we have a lot of people who want to be in leadership uh but you're not submitted uh you want to lead uh but you're not submitted uh you want to be out front but you're not submitted you want to be chosen but you're not committed uh you want to do the things uh but we can't find you and it's time To fight here Joshua is tasked with something of getting
Israel ready for a battle that they're not prepared for because Israel is not a fighting People Israel has not been in war up to this point Israel has been in captivity and because they've been in that captivity Israel does not know how to fight they don't have the ranks to fight uh they don't have the strategy to fight uh and they're saying God what do we do against An enemy that's lying in wait for us and God is saying I'm going to give you the strategy to go find somebody who has favor amongst the people
go find somebody who's strong enough to stand in battle and who's not looking up at the mountain wishing they were up there with you go find somebody who knows how to work in their assigned position and I came to The Potter's House tonight to see if there's anybody who can say I'm know and I'm comfortable enough uh to Work in the position uh that God has assigned me uh God if you put me on the battle I'm going to work where you put me I'm going to work in the position I'm not going to step
outside of where you called because when you need us to get in position I want to make sure that I'm where you told me to be somebody needs to get in position you're worried about what you going to do next H and I came to tell you just get in position you're worried about God Where am I sign and I hear God saying just get in position uh you want to lead but you don't want to serve uh you want to lead a song but you don't want to go to quoir rehearsal you want to
serve on a pull pit but you don't want to serve in the pews uh and God is saying uh go where I signed you uh because the battle is down on the ground not on the [Applause] mountain the battle is down on the ground not on the mountain and so Moses Needs somebody that he can trust and so he goes after Joshua and he says Joshua I need you to Corral an army of people I know that they don't know what they're doing I know that you're going to be fighting by yourself I know that
you're going to be training on the job I know we might lose some people but I need to trust you I need to be able to trust you enough to stay where I assigned you to stay and I know there's somebody watching or in this building that say God I feel like I'm all alone I feel like I'm alone in this battle I feel like I'm fighting by myself I feel like I'm alone in my family I feel like I'm alone in my community I feel like I'm alone in my job I feel like I'm
fighting by myself uh and I hear God saying remind them uh that they're not by themselves uh Lo I'll be with you always uh even until the end of the world that you're not fighting by yourself uh because you have a whole Army uh that You cannot see uh all I need for you to do uh is stay uh where I assigned you to stay uh and keep your ear toward Heaven uh because I'm going to give you the instruction uh I just need your hands uh because they're fit for War I need you because
you're strong and you're bold uh you do have attributes uh that are fit for the battle and I need you to stay where you assigned you got what it takes you just don't know it Yet Joshua had what What it Took he didn't know it yet because Joshua didn't know that one day he would be leading Israel once Moses has gone off the scene so sometimes God will have you in a place training you even before you know what you being trained for Joshua didn't know that Moses had called him uh because Moses was saying
I'm training you for a position that you don't even know that you're going to have one day H and I need you to see uh What it is to walk amongst the people and pull them together because you're going to fight amalec one day and I'm not going to be here and I need you to know the strategy uh to defeat amalec and I feel God saying that to somebody in this room uh you're frustrated with where you are now and God said just be still because I'm training you uh for what you don't even
know that's coming uh I know it's frustrating uh I know you want to move uh I know you want to be Somewhere else uh I know you want to play another position uh but I'm training you and building your skill set uh so that once you are build up uh I can let you lead a people there are some Joshua in this room tonight I said there are some joshuas in this room tonight that God has called to the battle there are some joshuas uh that God said you're strong enough uh you've been on the
sidelines too long uh God said there are some joshuas in this Room uh and I need you to get in the battle I need for you to get in position uh help me preach to two or three people and tell them get in position get in position get in position get in position get over your feelings and get in position get over your attitude and get in position uh get over your personality and get in position uh get over who don't like you and get in position uh get over who didn't call your name and
get in position uh get Over yourself and get in position uh get over what you want and get in position get in position uh because we can't win this uh if you are out of position uh we need you Joshua in the battle get in position [Applause] Joshua is getting in position so what happens to Moses Pastor Don so as Joshua in the first strategy Moses puts Joshua in position that means Moses has to reposition sometimes you must reposition Yourself which means to move something to a different place or position a shorter term would be
shift oh I feel God right here what Moses had to do is as he positioned Joshua Moses now has to reposition himself let me take my time to explain this typically in a battle or a war the leader would be our front so Moses replacing himself with Joshua and repositioning himself says to us two things Moses understood his capabilities Moses is not a young man anymore Moses is a older man it would have been foolish for Moses to be out there trying to fight a fight that they weren't ready for so Moses had to find
someone with the capabilities let me talk to every leader out there sometimes you got to know when to reposition yourself sometimes you got to stop trying to compete with the new person coming and say let me move out the way uh because you're better at this you're stronger This this and what I put you here I can reposition myself because what Moses understood that the battle wasn't just a fleshly battle for we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities against powers and Moses understood that this battle is not just going to be won
on the ground but I got to go up higher because this is not just a physical battle but this is a spiritual battle and let me pause right there you think You just fighting a physical thing but no baby your battle is spiritual there are things going on in a real that you don't even see them and if you stay down here you going to lose the battle you need to reposition yourself uh you need to say I got to go up a little higher because what I am dealing with uh is in this heavenly
realm uh and I need to see the spirits uh that I'm dealing with uh I got to fight up here so I'm going to put you down here because this battle Can't just be one in one dimension this battle's not just going to be one in one dimension because you're not just fighting what you see right now but you fighting for generations to come uh tell somebody I'm fighting for my grandkids uh I'm fighting for the folks that I don't even see I may never even know their name but this battle that I'm fighting I
got to fight in this realm because my grandchildren uh got to get saved uh and Healed because of this battle that I'm going to win uh because God has already promised uh I'm going to blot out [Music] [Applause] amlc he's already promised I'm going to blot that thing out from your family line uh but it's going to take strategy uh no you ain't going to have to deal with this generational curse uh but it's going to take strategy uh you going to have to fight in two Dimensions uh you Just can't stay there but tell
your neighbor come up come up come up uh come up come up uh come to the mountain uh cuz I need you to see differently I need you to I need you to see differently I need you Moses repositioning himself to the mountain gave him Advantage Moses could see the enemy and everything around so while Joshua is fighting hand to hand back battle Moses now is up on the mountain uh and Moses is able to see from a Different perspective uh let me tell you something in this place uh my brothers and my sisters uh
you need a different perspective about your battle you're fighting in the wrong Dimension uh you keep fighting with the wrong tactics because you have the wrong perspective about your battle you keep thinking it's about one thing and God has said no it's about something deeper I'm not just fighting this bill you think it's a gas bill God said you're fighting poverty And I need you to defeat this enemy uh because somebody in your family doesn't think they can get out of the situation they're in uh but they need you to win this battle they need
you to win this war so you got to come up come up come up come up come up come up you got to come up higher tell somebody I'm coming up higher I can't fight on this low level no more I got to reposition I got a delegate I got to put somebody else here I can't stay down Here no more that's why you you got to make sure you have the right people in the right positions uh cuz you can't do everything uh that's your problem you try to do everything uh you try to
take it all on yourself uh you got to stop being so mean and get some friends uh so you get some folks to help you God is calling you into Community uh he doesn't want you to fight this battle by yourself uh you are not an island you are not by yourself uh you're going to Have to step outside yourself uh and delicate so that you can reposition I got to reposition because the battle I'm fighting is in multiple dimensions and if I just limit myself to the one dimension I'm going to lose the War
I I don't want Joshua to think that all the pressure is on him nor do I want Joshua to think and take the credit for winning because what Joshua doesn't know is he can't win this battle by itself he Can't win this battle unless I reposition woo he can't can't win this battle unless I reposition your children can't win unless you reposition your community can't win unless you reposition the folks on your job can't win unless you reposition uh you got to get out of the habit of stand in something just cuz you did it
for 30 years and say God uh I'm not ready to move uh but I'll shift if you tell me to uh I'll reposition uh I'm Not afraid to SHI I'm not afraid to move uh because I understand uh that in another dimension is where we win the war and so and so and so Moses repositions itself now this is what I love about this passage I'm going to take you back to to the verse Exodus if you can put up there Exodus 17 and 12 I want us to see something Exodus 17 and 12 if
you can put it up there but Moses hands became heavy so They took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it all right just stop right there Moses hands became heavy so they took a stone and they set him on it now why is this important because when Moses repositions himself Moses enacts the same strategy that he did at the Red Sea here to for Moses has been able to use the rod to cause reaction they go to the Red Sea God says what's in your hand lift up the rod the
sea Parts they walk Across on dry ground they shout they go to another place they in refid them the people are hungry and they're thirsty God say strike the rock with the rod and water comes out so Moses naturally thinks that if I use the same strategy I'll get the same results this has worked for me before why won't it work for me right now because what Moses did not know at that time is that some battles caus for you to shift Strategies some things that worked before won't work in this fight they might work
temporarily because the Bible did say when he lifted his hands Israel won but when the minute he dropped his hands started to Prevail and I am sure Moses was frustrated and saying God the last time I lifted my rod the Red Sea parted and we got the victory the last time I used my rod and struck the rock uh water came out uh I'm doing the same thing uh that you told me Last time uh but it doesn't seem to be working uh and I came to tell somebody the reason why is because God is
saying this battle is going to take more than your strength yeah this battle it's not supposed to be one in your own strength now why did I pull this scripture out because I did a little research and the word Stone in this scripture actually comes from a word called a Hebrew word called eban and eban is a compound word mean Father and Son it is the same word That is used in the scripture Psalms 118 Verse 22 can you put that up I want y'all to see the correlation between the stones the verse Psalms 118:22
says this the stone which the builders rejected has become the Chief Cornerstone so the stone that Moses sat on is the same Stone put that scripture back up for me is the same stone that it's talking about in Psalms the stone this stone is Jesus the stone which the builders rejected has become the Chief Cornerstone so you mean to tell me uh that the stone that Moses was planting on was Jesus uh the rock that is higher than I you mean to tell me uh that the reason why Moses couldn't do it in his own
strength is because Moses wasn't planted on the stone you mean to tell me that the only thing I need to do to win this battle is to find the solid rock on Christ I Stand uh all of the ground is sinking sand uh you mean to tell me uh that I just need to go to the place uh That's my strength uh I run to the Rock uh the rock of my salvation uh when my heart is over am lead me to a rock that is higher than I you mean to tell me uh that
God was letting Moses know uh that this battle is not going to be one in your strength uh but when you learn to rest on me uh when you learn to lean on me uh when you learn to depend on me uh I'll let you win the battle because I'll give you strength oh y'all not getting it okay okay okay okay so listen I was At the gym I was at the gym today and I was doing I was doing shoulder presses and I was standing and doing shoulder presses and it's difficult when you stand
and do shoulder presses because it takes a lot more stability and so then I went from standing and I found me a bench and I put it upright and I sat on the bench and I realized that I had a lot more strength to lift when I was Seated on something and then it dawned on me I see Why Moses had to find a stone because when he was lifting his hand all although he could do it uh his hands got weak uh and the Bible says his hands got weary so they had to find
something that was stronger and more stable and I came to tell you that the reason why you may be weak uh is because you try to do it in your own strength uh but tell your neighbor you ought to find the stone uh you ought to find the stone uh the thing that you have uh is stability in your Life uh and his name is Jesus Jesus is that stone uh he's that rock of stability uh he's the thing that will hold you up uh with wouldn't you feel yourself getting [Music] weak so Moses Moses
Moses has to shift again Moses has to sh look Moses repositions himself one time but then he has to reposition himself again because sometimes in some battles the first strategy didn't work uh and so you got To learn how to shith he went into the battle lifting up his hands uh and doing what he did last time uh but when that was not working and he was getting tired uh the the Bible says he found a stone uh just tell three people it's time for you to Shi uh it's time for you to shift uh
don't say in something that's not working uh don't stay in that strategy that's not working it's time for you to shift strategies uh it's time for you to move uh because God has a place for you Uh that you can rested him and let him do the fighting so Moses I'm almost done Moses Moses finds a stone can you put that scripture back up for me Exodus 12 one more time 17 I'm sorry 12 put that up for me one more time Exodus 17 I want you to see something else so while Moses hands was
Heavy Exodus TW Exodus 17 and 12 that same scripture so Moses hands became heavy so they took a stone and put it under him And he sat on it and Aaron and her supported his hands one on one side and the other on the other side and his hands were steady until the going down of the Sun and we going to come back to this but I want to Aaron and her Aaron is Moses brother her is Moses nephew they go up to the mountain with him not with the mindset to help him yet CU
we don't get that from scripture they just accompany him up the mountain Moses is doing what he's doing Lifting his Rod but the Bible says Moses hands get heavy so it was those that accompanied him that had the insight to say we got to help the leader stand strong what's the third part it's the third part so Moses first finds the right position the second Moses reposition but the third one was out of Moses control those that around him had to have the right disposition I want to talk to some People who are not examining
the people around you because the people around you should have discernment enough to know when your arms are getting tired the people around you shouldn't be looking at you getting tired but they should be helping you come up with a solution when you get tired the people around you shouldn't just be standing watching you fight by yourself but when they see your arms going up and down they should say how Can we help him how can we help her what can we do to get in the battle with them and check this out they could
have said Moses give me the ride you had your time you tired give me the ride let me be the one to hold it up but you have to have the right people around you who know what their position is because if you have people around you who are accompanying you but secretly warning the POS position that you're in When you get tired they will use it as an advantage to get you out of the way uh so that they can step into where you are y'all ain't listening to me tonight you got to watch
the people who you let go to the places that you go the people that you tell your dreams to the people that you tell your Visions to the people that you start your business with because just because they accompany you just because they clap for you just because they Shout with you uh does not Mean they're going to hold you up uh when you get tired and when you get weak uh but the people around you uh that have been assigned by God uh that understand what their position is uh say I am not going
after what you are doing uh I'm not trying to get your place uh but my assignment uh is to be an intercessor my assignment is to hold your hands up uh when you get weak uh my assignment is to discern the time uh my assignment is to call and say are you Okay uh what do you need uh my assignment is to pray for you uh because I understand uh that you're called to lead uh I understand that you're chosen to lead leader and that's not my role my role is to assist my role in
your life is to be a intercessor I wonder if you pulled out your phone and look through your context if you would find enough people that would hold you up when they saw you getting weak or would They be one of the ones uh to bring your arms down faster because they are part of the problem they are part of the gravitational pull while you trying to win a battle here they're pulling on you to help them here instead of being more of a help to you I wonder if in the room tonight or online
if you have the right people accompanying you in the right positions around you and so Moses Moses Moses has Aaron and her who the Bible Says they find the stone and put it up the scripture one more time for me Exodus want you to see this there so much in this I told y'all with so much meat on the bone I had to come back to it and Aaron and her supported his hands one on one side and the other on the other side get this and his hands were steady until the going down of
the Sun that word steady is an interesting word because it's translated differently in the Original text it is a Hebrew word called amuna auna and it means faith and trust oh Lord help me with this right here so instead of steadying what it's saying is Moses because he found stability could lift his hands his faith his trust and they did not waver I'm I'm going to say it better just give me a couple more tries I'm going to shoot it I'm going to hit it when Moses was lifting up his hands what we are being
what we are seeing Describ red is that though he started strong thank you Holy Ghost when they saw when he saw that his hands was getting heavy his faith was starting to fail and I don't care how strong you are in the Lord I don't care how Mighty you are in the Lord uh I don't care how much you pray uh your humanity is going to step in uh and there are going to be times uh that you question God are you still with me God am I going to make it through uh God am
I ever going to get Out this storm uh God where are you you see what's happening to my hand uh my face started strong I start off on Sunday morning saying I'm a Overcomer I'm the head and not the tail but come Monday my faith starts to slip God how am I going to pay this bill God how am I going to fight this inflation uh God how am I going to beat this disease uh and like Moses uh in our Humanity uh our faith and our trust starts to droop uh it is not that
we don't believe that There is a God uh but sometimes if we we are honest our trust starts to wne and so what we are seeing in here is that the Bible is saying that Moses as strong as he was as Brave as he was as powerful as he was his faith started to lower and I wonder if there's anybody in this Sanctuary anybody online that can be honest and say with my Sav self with my Sanctified self uh I know there are some times uh that I started with my hands raised high but over
time started Lifing uh and my hand started to droop uh and I didn't have anybody on either side of me uh to help me hold up uh and I noticed uh that as long as I was in worship uh and as long as I was in Praise uh I was winning uh but when I stopped praying uh and when I stopped trusting uh the enemy started to Prevail and I couldn't just lift my hands uh because life started to beat me down uh and I thank God uh that there was an eror and a Hur
because not only did they Find the stone what the Bible says they got on one side of him and on the other side of him uh and instead of talking about him uh when he got weak and instead of belittling him uh because he couldn't stand the pressure they got on either side of him uh and said we're going to hold you up uh it is not our figh uh it is all of our fights uh and we're going to play our role uh and we're going to play our position uh and I'm going to
hold you up I'm going to Hold your hands up Moses I'm going to hold your hands up because I don't want your faith to fail you I don't want your faith to fail you in this season I know it's tough I know it's hard and I know you've been holding your hands up what does that represent there's a word in in Hebrew called yadada yadada is the extension of the hands it is literally praise it's worship it's prayer it's intercession And so Moses is the picture of interceding moses' hands are lifted up in worship and
sometimes it's easy when we come into environments like this to lift our hands but what happens when you leave out of this place do you have have somebody that can discern when your faith is slipping and the Bible says that as long as Moses hands were lifted they prevailed and so he had an Aaron and he had a her he had intercessors to keep His hands up and because his faith stayed lifted because his trust stayed lifted Israel was able to win the war and I want to give somebody the secret sauce tonight it is
not that you're not going to win this battle the problem is your faith is slipping and you're saying God how can I do this by myself and God is saying I don't want you to do this by yourself God is saying I want you to partner with I want you to get in community I want You to get around people who can discern when you are weak I want you to step out of your bubble I know you're introvert but in order to win this battle you going to need folks on your side with you
you going to need folks walking with you you're going to have to open yourself up because you're not going win this in your own strength and so Aaron and her steep with him they win the battle and so and God says this after they Win I'm at the end the Bible tells us that God says to Moses I want you to write this down I want you to write this down in the hearing of Joshua because I need Joshua to be able to look back get this every time he comes up against amalec and that's
why you can't be afraid to tell your testimony God is saying to somebody in here I need for you that once you win this battle win this War I need for you to recount this In the hearing of everybody that you know because they overcame by the blood of the lamb and by the word tell somebody I'm going to testify I'm going to testify you're not going to shut me up I'm going to testify you're not going to make me quiet I'm going to testify when he brings me through when he brings me out I'm
going to testify when he opens the door I'm going to testify when he makes the way I'm going to testify when he heals my body I'm Going to testify when he blots out amlc from the remembrance of my lineage I'm going to testify you're not going to be able to shut my mouth up matter of fact let's take 30 seconds and somebody open up your mouth and testify of the goodness of Jesus uh how he made a way even if you don't see it uh because you have faith uh to believe and your faith is
lifted uh open up your mouth and testify God I thank you for what you're getting ready to do uh I thank you that You're getting ready to defeat the enemy on my behalf I thank you that this curse uh that I've been dealing with uh I won't see again uh you're getting ready the stomper on the head of amlc and I won't have to deal with this and so I'm done Moses Builds an altar and the Bible says he calls it Jehovah nii the Lord is my banner and I wondered Pastor Don what was this
Banner until I started to see from a Optic View of what The strategy created I just need some some some help sister you already here so you going to be my Joshua just stand right there okay all right sister Tanya you come just brother Pastor Oscar come just we go so Joshua was positioned here just go right there for me her is here Aaron is here and Moses is Here and I started to say what does this look like I wonder if does anybody see what this strategy looks like yeah it looks like the banner
is a cross could it be that God was instructing Moses to create a cross that would Shadow Christ on the battlefield so that the banner that was raised above Israel was not just Moses Lifting his hand but literally Christ was shadowed as the banner over Israel then I went to this scripture Isaiah 11 and10 it says and in that day there shall be a root of Jesse Jesus who shall stand as a banner to the people for the Gentiles shall seek him and his resting place shall be glorious you mean to tell me Jesus is
my banner you mean to tell me that when I go into battle it is Jesus that is raised above me uh that's why the sickness can't come uh that's Why cancer can't come uh that's why the enemy can't come uh that's why the devil can't have his way uh because when he sees me uh he sees the cross uh the banner that's waved above me uh and he knows he has the backup uh somebody ought to tell that sickness uh you better back up uh because my banner is raised uh and if I be lifted
up uh I'll draw all men unto me uh somebody get excited because the banner that's raised over you uh is the banner of Christ Our [Music] Lord that's the banner that's over over you that's the banner that's raised over your children that's the banner that's raised over your household uh that's the banner that's raised over your community uh that's the banner that's raised over your job uh I know you walk into your job uh and it's all hell breaking Loos uh but you better tell them I got the ban of the Cross uh and everywhere
I go uh I'm covered uh by the cross uh I'm Covered by Christ uh I don't care where I go if I make my bed in hell he's there if i s to the highest parts of the heaven he's there he that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty I'm covered by the cross uh the cross is my banner the cross is my banner the cross is my banner the cross is my banner the cross is my banner the cross is my banner the cross covers
Me so you going into the hospital room don't you be afraid because you got the cross that sickness sees the cross that situation sees the cross you're going into the courtroom lift up your head oh ye gates and be lifted up the Everlasting doors uh because you got the cross uh that's following you uh you don't have to lower your hands uh because you're rested in Christ uh and the cross is covering you uh I said you're rested in Christ uh and the cross Uh is covering you you're rested in Christ and the cross the
cross the cross the cross the cross Jehovah ni my my banner Jehovah nii Jehovah is my banner Jehovah is my banner Jehovah W above me uh Jehovah rises above me uh that's why I don't have to be afraid of the Arrow by day or the terror by night uh because I have Jehovah and he's my B I don't have to be afraid uh of the enemy uh come what may uh I'm standing on Solid Ground and the cross goes before me the Cross goes before me the cross goes before me the cross the cross the
cross it's the cross Israel didn't even know that they had Christ covering them they did not know that the picture that the AMC amalec saw was the cross your Victory is in the cross your Victory if I had a voice I would sing Victory in Jesus My Savior forever I'm so glad that the cross is there every Time I wake up in the morning the cross is there every time I go to bed at night the cross is there for every battle that I will go in the cross is there that's why I don't have
to be afraid of the figh I don't have to be afraid of the battle lift up your heads uh don't you fear what's coming next don't you fear what's in the election uh don't you fear next year the enemy is trying to keep you captive by your fear but you ought to tell the enemy I got the cross uh I Got the cross uh I don't care what they do with the president I don't care what they do with the prices I don't care what they do I got the cross and the cross is the
banner above me the cross the cross the cross the cross the cross the cross and I wonder if if there's anybody in this room that recognizes that my hands have been slipping because I didn't know I had a stone to Rely on that you feel like man I wish I had some strength and I came to tell you that the strength has always been there it wasn't that they found the stone the stone was always there he had to go to the stone and maybe you feel weak because you're trying to do it in your
own strength but his strength is made perfect in your weakness [Music]
