hey there o doers today I'm going to show you how to connect configure and utilize odu's Gmail plugin with the Gmail plugin users can create opportunities and tasks directly from their inbox it's a great way to consolidate all your CRM efforts with just a few clicks so let's jump into our database and see how easy it is to set up and how to use the ODU Gmail plugin in order for plugins to work we'll first need to open the settings application and and scroll down to the integration section in the integration section we want to
ensure that the mail plug-in feature is enabled if it isn't go ahead and take that checkbox and click save before moving on but since we've already taken care of that we can keep things moving let's take a look on how the Gmail plug-in Works to do that let's jump to another tab that I already have open to my Gmail inbox from here we'll click on the plus icon located on the right sidebar then we'll search OD and then we'll click on the Odo inbox addin square that appears then all we have to do is Click
install and then select the appropriate Gmail account from the resulting popup window next we'll click continue from another pop-up window and then we'll go ahead and select allow on another popup lastly we'll go ahead and click done on the last install confirmation popup window and exit out of those popups upon completing that step you'll notice the Odo o logo is now present in the right sidebar and that's how you install the ODU Gmail plugin now we'll open up an email we got from a colleague about a potential opportunity for customer Nicole Ford and then from
here let's click on the o icon to reveal the Odo sidebar then we'll connect our Odo database to the plugin by clicking login at the bottom right of the Odo sidebar and then we'll paste in our database URL if you haven't done so already from here just click login and enter any of your database credentials if needed in the resulting popup window then we can go ahead and click allow to click out of the popup then simply refresh our inbox so with my email about the Nicole Ford open I'll click on the Odo icon located
on the right of the sidebar to reopen the plugin and then I'll click on the magnifying glass search icon in the contact Section here and simply search Nicole and there she is now I'll click on her contact and under the opportunity section we can click create doing so opens a browser tab revealing a fully filled out opportunity form in our Odo database complete with all the necessary information and message from the email that we received in our Gmail inbox now if we hop back to our Gmail account tab we can also click create under the
task section here and create a task from the plugin then we can choose from any of these existing projects from Odo in the top portion or we can create a new project for this new task at the bottom let's create a new one I'll type in a name for the new project name something like furniture at least and then click create that opens a new tab revealing the new task and the new project we just created with the email and the description tab from here we can set Milestones change the ass schedule activities and so
on to check out our new project we can click on the upper left icon here in the top to return to the main dashboard and click into the projects application and just like so there's our new furniture leads project card when we click that project we'll find the Nicole Ford lead card tucked in the folded nun stage that's because this project is new we still need to create stages for it this task has nowhere else to go other than the default nun stage like any other can band view we can simply create new stages by
clicking the plus stage button and typing in a name like New Leads and then clicking add then we can drag and drop that card into the new stage and continue to nurture that lead into a sale and there we have it folks that's how easy it is to set up configure and use odu's Gmail plugin to create opportunities and tasks directly from the comfort of your inbox thanks for watching and I'll see you in the next video
