[music] [applause] [music] Um, I really [applause] a FIFA Peace Prize would have been better, but this is nice, too. I really didn't expect this. Um, I just want to say on behalf of our executive producers, Molly, Jen, and Aaron, who are lurking behind me, and David, Danny, and Doug, who were not invited to this, we want to thank the members of the Critics's Choice Association, who voted for us, specifically Ross Crystal from Showbiz Express, Samira Benammore from MTV Finland, and Jeffrey Howard from KCLV TV in Las Vegas who I went to high school with.
Thank you, [cheering] Jeff. [applause] And thanks to all the television critics. I know how hard you work watching TV.
I want to thank our friends at ABC, Rob, Bob, Dana, Gabby, Jamie, Sam Alman, who now owns my voice and face. Please don't do anything weird with it. I want to thank James Baby Doll Dixon and Lewis Little Thumbs K for all the towels and cigarettes um that they chewed and smoked during a tumultuous year.
You know, we share this award with our colleagues in late night, our fellow nominees who did not care enough to be here with you tonight and also Shawn Evans who almost killed me with that hot sauce. Congratulations to Shawn. Sean, don't worry.
One day you'll be the only one left. Thanks to all the writers and actors and producers and union members, many of you who are in this room who um supported us, who really stepped forward us and and reminded us that we do not take free speech for granted in this city or in this country. Your actions were important and we appreciate them.
[applause] And most of all, I want to thank our president, Donald Jennifer Trump. without whom we would be going home empty-handed tonight. So, thank you, Mr President, for all the many ridiculous things you do each and every day.
