indigenous Brands is truly onto something like if I didn't follow this I definitely wouldn't have retained as much length as I [Music] have if you've not heard of indigenous strands then we're going to talk about one of her main Hair Care practices that has helped her retain so much length to the point where her hair is now down to her knees yes for real knee length now I'm not aiming for that kind of length I'm just trying to get to tailbone length so that is my goal and that's what I'm working towards if you don't
know I am on a journey of growing my hair from shaved to tailbone length and I'm aiming to do that within 7 years and Indigenous strand's technique of how she cares for her hair one of those techniques I have really taken and it has been helping me massively massively so far so let's talk about what it is what are the benefits and how do we utilize it and if you stick around to the end then I have a bit of a secet invitation for you all right indigenous strands definitely understood the principle that our hair
is always growing from our scalp the issue is that usually our ends are breaking off and that's where we really have to look after our ends so that we can retain as much length as possible and one of the key ways that indigenous strands is doing this in terms of protecting her ends is by using flaxy gel flax seed gel is this tiny little seed um it's called blackx seed or sometimes it's called Lin seed and in order to create the gel it is a case of allowing the flax seed to release all of its
kind of properties and natural oils into some hot water and it forms a really thick uh gooey kind of [Music] texture some of the benefits of flaxi gel one of them is that it reduces frizz so I noticed that when I use flexi gel um on the ends of my hair you know it does reduce frizz there's less flyaways and all the hair is plumped together really well so it definitely does help with that I know a lot of people use flexi gel for their wash and gos as well and again because it does give
that great curl definition for the the wash and go look I personally am not a wash and go girly but I have seen that it has great benefits for if you want to use it that way so flaxy gel has vitamin E fiber omega-3 fatty acids it's got protein and a lot of other things I can't pronounce but that means that it is really good for strengthening our hair health line actually says that the vitamin E that is present in flaxi Gel really helps to increase the elasticity and the shine of our hair and I
honestly can say that I have experienced this I have noticed my hair feeling much stronger you know if I put a little bit of tension on it is much stronger and definitely in terms of the shine yeah yeah yeah that's definitely true if you are enjoying this content and you want to know more about how I've been growing my hair then you're welcome to get access to my tips for getting past bra strap length hair just head to the link in the description box and you can get that for absolutely free so plaxy gel can
be used on the scalp it can be used on the full length of your hair and everything but how indigenous strand uses it is she uses the gel to seal the ends of her hair so after she's moisturized and everything then she applies the gel to the just the ends of her hair and that gel causes like almost a hardened shell around the ends which helps to reduce breakage single strand knots and split ends and I definitely do exactly the same so if this is something that you are considering trying then probably what I would
suggest is do your normal moisture routine first whether it's your LLC your lco your l or your Co whatever it is and then use the black seed gel after that okay if you stuck around then you are welcome to join me on a 30-day challenge that I'm doing and it's actually a flax SE gel challenge now I am on a yearlong 2024 hair grow challenge however for the last month of the year I'm going to do a flax SE gel challenge where what I'm going to do is I am going to apply flaxy gel to
the ends of my hair to all you know all of my hair apart from just one small section so for example my hair is in plat now I'll probably take out this one plat and I won't apply flaxy gel to this one and the purpose of this is I want to see if the use of flaxi gel really really really does reduce single strand nuts split ends and breakage because I want to be able to see maybe in this plat once the challenge is over if there's more single strand knots more split ends and hopefully
I won't be able to see breakage but if I can see more single strand nuts and definitely more split ends than the rest of my hair then I know that flaxy gel is 100% massively massively massively helping towards my length retention now I really believe it is already but I just want to do a challenge just to prove it to you to be honest and if you'd like to join me in this challenge then you're absolutely welcome to drop a message in the comments to let me know that you're also going to jump on a
challenge too if not that's absolutely fine I'm going to be reporting back to you guys anyway and if you got this far into the video then well done drop the secret Emoji into the comments so that I know that you got all the way to the end and of course to do all of this that we've been talking about you know using this indigenous strand method with the flax seed gel you're obviously going to know going to need to know how to make the flax seed gel and so you're welcome to watch this video next
