The protagonist, Yoshi, knows he will never forget the day he walked into a concept cafe so unusual, so bizarre that his consciousness practically shuts down. His mind stops functioning as it normally does, all because he finds himself in a place that's popular for all the wrong reasons. The concept is unique, but the waitresses there, dressed in fancy costumes, carry personalities so brutally cold that their attitude is more terrifying than charming.
This is where a strange, chaotic comedy begins. a comedy that flips his entire sense of reality. But to reach this bizarre cafe, the story needs to rewind a little back to a few days ago when Yoshi walks into a more normal cafe to enjoy some ice cream.
He asks the waitress to join him, admiring how adorable the dessert looks, so adorable that he almost doesn't want to eat it. The waitress teases that if he keeps staring at it, it won't stay perfect for long. As they talk, she recalls Yoshi mentioning concept cafes before.
Yoshi explains that he often explores different concept cafes during his days off and he truly enjoys them so much so that he dreams of opening his own one day. She counters his enthusiasm by saying that nowadays with so many concept cafes around, it's not really a profitable business anymore. Yoshi agrees.
Then she mentions that her current workplace runs on its Sundere concept, but Yoshi notices that she seems more distant than usual. She admits she's been spending time checking out other concept cafes recently, but during those visits, she hears a peculiar rumor. She tells Yoshi about a mysterious cafe near her store, hidden away in a narrow alley with just a vague signed word indicating it's a concept cafe.
No one really talks about it, and people tend to avoid going there, which adds to the mystery. Yoshi asks if it's based on a horror theme, but she says it doesn't feel that way. Still, the rumor sparks his curiosity.
After finishing his ice cream, he heads out to a place known as Ekkihabara, a true paradise for concept cafe lovers like him. It's packed with a variety of themed cafes, each more unique than the last. Following the directions, he eventually reaches the narrow alley mentioned in the rumor.
It looks shady, and Yoshi hesitates, unsure whether he should go in. He suspects it might just be another overpriced spot using the term concept cafe as a gimmick. But curiosity pulls him in.
Just before opening the door, he thinks to himself that whatever happens, this experience will be something new. He steps in and mutters that it feels like home. But one look at the waitresses tells him this place is anything but welcoming.
It's all like a man walking into his own funeral, except with worse lighting and rudder staff. One of them named Lucila gives him a sharp look and demands to know what he's saying, stating that this isn't his place. Her glare at him is like she's been personally insulted by his entire bloodline.
Caught off guard, Yoshi rubs his head and apologizes, wondering why a waitress would talk so rudely to a customer. She repeats her cold remark, and Yoshi starts to believe this might be part of the cafe's concept. Lucila then questions why he's still standing there.
Yashi looks around, observing the eerie atmosphere. Compared to the other cafes he's visited, this place feels entirely different, almost unsettling. The interior is strange, almost horror-like.
He finds a seat near Lucia and asks for a menu like a man trying not to get cursed in a haunted temple. While Lucia glares at him as if he owes her something from a past life, she tells him he has no right to ask a demon for a menu, especially when she feels like devouring him. She says it so casually that Yoshi wonders if he accidentally walked into a villain staff meeting.
Another waitress, Raz, intervenes, silencing Lucia and handing Yoshi the menu. He browses it and places an order, also asking for water. The third waitress, Katria, heads off to prepare the food, while Raz asks Yoshi to place his hands together.
He's confused by the request, but she returns with a vase of water and begins pouring it over his hands. He stares at the vase like it might explode. It seems like a joke to him, and he awkwardly tells her to stop.
Once his hands are clean, he notices that the waitresses also seem to serve as chefs. Katria begins cooking without a microwave, following some authentic, almost ritualistic method. It's like she's summoning a spirit, not lunch.
There's fire. There's mumbling. There might be chanting.
She says something angrily in her native elven language while preparing the dish, though Yoshi doesn't understand her words. Soon, a strange dish is placed before him, so unique that even his ancestors wouldn't recognize it. Despite the mystery, Yoshi casually asks Lucila for ketchup, the way one might request a glass of milk at a vampire gathering, which angers her.
She questions why she's even serving a human like him, and out of frustration, squirts ketchup on the dish, ruining its appearance. Yoshi still doesn't fully understand the cafe's concept, but he decides to taste the food. From the first bite, he's frozen in place, overwhelmed by a flavor unlike anything he's ever experienced.
He doesn't know the ingredients, but the blend is perfect. He begins praising the dish aloud, clearly impressed. Raz, the slightly sweeter of the three waitresses, starts eating from his plate the moment he does, which surprises him.
She tells him it's a famous dish among elves, and Yoshi agrees. The taste is incredibly authentic. This flavor becomes a mystery in itself.
Just as he's enjoying the meal, a tentacle suddenly reaches toward him and grips his leg tightly. Lucila watches silently while Yoshi falls off his seat in panic. Raz becomes furious with Lucila, who refuses to take any responsibility.
Meanwhile, the monster tries to drag Yoshi away. He's still chewing when something grabs his leg, proving that in this cafe, the food might not be the only thing that bites back. Raz quickly brings out her ax and yells that she'll have to cut off his leg.
Hearing this, Yashi loses all composure. Raz teases him, saying she'll return the leg after cutting it, which pushes him to his panic limit. Lucila steps in to help, but Yoshi still believes this chaos is part of the cafe's concept event.
She doesn't correct him. Instead, she claims the event is called the leg cutting event. As Raz approaches to perform the act, Yoshi quickly loosens his pants, which slip off and are grabbed by the monster.
At that moment, Yoshi fully realizes that he's completely lost his grip on reality. The three waitresses begin talking amongst themselves about him. Lucila is a demon, Raz is a dwarf, and Katria is an elf.
Meanwhile, Yashi lies there, drifting in and out of consciousness, thinking that this cafe is far too peculiar and probably his last visit ever. And in the end, it's not dignity or pride he loses, but a perfectly good pair of pants. After a brief delay, Yashi finds himself restrained by two girls wearing distinct concept cafe outfits.
They tied him tightly with a thick rope. And while standing close to him, they coldly declare that this place isn't meant for someone like him. One of them even prepares to spill ketchup over his body.
But just as it's about to happen, Yoshi jolts upright and realizes it was only a dream, but he gets mildly disappointed that his dream version still couldn't fight back. A strange illusion he's been seeing while unconscious. As he fully regains consciousness, his eyes land on the same three waitresses standing before him, leaving him stunned.
Lucila turns to the other two and asks what they should do with him now. But to Yoshi, this situation feels no less than a nightmare. He shouts that he knows Lucila was trying to tie him up and pour ketchup on him.
Hearing this, she looks at him the way someone looks at a talking potato. Mildly surprised, mostly annoyed, she responds with a baffled expression, thinking this human is speaking absolute nonsense. The waitresses avoid replying, bound by the country's rules about dealing with customers.
After exchanging glances, they decide it's time to share the truth with this human. Listening closely, Yoshi is taken aback to learn that they're running a concept cafe after coming from an entirely different world. They explain that they were sent here as punishment and forced to live and work in this world.
He listens like someone nodding at a conspiracy theory. He still believes this is just part of the cafe's elaborate concept. Raz, another waitress, shares that humans in this world are weak and ignorant about magic.
That's why after arriving, she researched which job would help them survive here. After thorough observation and reading online reviews, she concluded that a concept cafe would be their best option. Apparently, deciding to run a cafe in a foreign world is just one scroll away on a review site.
Lucil adds that there are all sorts of bizarre concept cafes here, and if they work properly, they might even turn a profit. Yoshi, however, remains stuck on the idea of them being from another world. Lucila tells him plainly that beings like them don't exist in this world.
And then the three take turns introducing themselves. She reveals she is a demon. Razite says she is a dwarf.
And the elf speaks something in her native Elvish tongue, which Yoshi doesn't understand at all. He stares in disbelief, struggling to comprehend how this cafe is staffed by fantasy creatures straight out of another realm. Raz confides that their business hasn't been profitable at all.
They're barely getting by. Lucila doesn't understand why no customers ever come. Rez bluntly tells her that her rude attitude is likely scaring them away.
Hearing their conversation, Yoshi scoffs and calls all three of them clueless fools who still don't understand the basics of running a concept cafe. He scoffs like a man who once read half a business article and now thinks he's now a main character of a strategic comic with anime girls. Offended, Lucila lashes out and charges toward him, but Raz quickly stops her.
Raz admits that Yoshi is right. They lack proper planning and direction. She then requests that he help teach them how to run the cafe successfully.
Yoshi agrees, but asks for the ropes to be untied first. After being freed, he enters the kitchen and asks the girls to weigh at the table. Soon, he returns like a proud chef unveiling a five-star dish, except it's just coffee and joins them.
During the casual conversation, he refers back to what they mentioned earlier, that humans lack magic. He asks what they would say if he told them that this statement isn't entirely true. He claims he can use magic to enhance their cafe.
The waitress's laugh off his claims, treating them as a joke. Yoshi then explains that he doesn't intend to use magic to change the taste of food. Instead, he focuses on something else entirely.
He tells the girls that while there are many concept cafes in this city, what sets the best ones apart is how the smile of a waitress can brighten anyone's day, no matter how bad their mood or day has been. He compares their warmth to fantasy spells and says that when something is done with love and care, even the simplest food becomes magical. He says it with the conviction of a poet and the delusion of a man who's clearly had too much sugar.
He calls this special feeling Momokun and insists on bringing that spirit into their cafe. But as soon as he says this, Lucila snaps. Enraged.
She unleashes her demon form and attacks Yoshi. As apparently Momo Kun is the forbidden phrase that unlocks demon mode. She declares that this is the first time in a hundred years she's lost control in front of a human.
Seeing this terrifying change, Yoshi decides to flee. But before he can escape, Katria throws a knife that pins him down. She threatens to kill him.
And to Yoshi's shock, she speaks his language fluently. Raz intervenes, furious, and tells them both to stop. She points out how everything that just happened clearly proves one thing.
Their mental states are deteriorating. Lucil admits that Raz might be right, that even she felt overwhelmed earlier. Raz continues saying that Lucila let her demon form hidden for a hundred years out just because of a few sharp words and Katrina in a fit of rage broke her elven rules and spoke a foreign language.
Raz reminds them all that this kind of behavior is completely unacceptable in a concept cafe. The room falls silent. No one fully understands what's going on anymore.
Raz then turns to Yoshi and requests him to explain what Momok really means. Yoshi nervously confesses that it isn't a real term. It's just a feeling, a spontaneous word that appeared in his head, one he has somehow become addicted to.
Eventually, he leaves the cafe and heads to the train station. The whole journey back, his mind stays occupied in a city full of lively concept cafes and thriving crowds. He never imagined a cafe run by other worldly beings could exist.
And yet, it does. He thinks to himself that he should visit it again. He heads home wondering if he's discovered a magical portal or just needs therapy.
On this very day, Yoshi, now 30 years old, has stumbled upon an opportunity that might just change his life. It feels like he has discovered a door that doesn't open for everyone. Akihabara remains the city that keeps Yashi's heart hooked.
And the biggest reason behind it is the variety of concept cafes here, each following its own unique theme. But hidden among these cafes is one unlike any other. A cafe tied to an unknown world.
one that feels completely detached from reality. Inside this peculiar cafe, Lucila, the demon waitress, tells Raz that hunting humans would be far easier for her than running a concept cafe. She crosses her arms like a professional hit woman, accidentally enrolled in culinary school.
Raz, however, disagrees, though she herself remains unsure how to manage the place. Just then, Yoshi pushes open the door and greets them. He walks in and like a man about to attend a business meeting, only to find three fantasy creatures debating on each other's ethics.
Lucila stares at him, surprised to see him here, while Raz casually explains that she invited him and asks him to take a seat. Raz tells Yoshio that she had no one else trustworthy enough, so she called him. She explains she's facing a problem and needs advice.
She and the elf are trying to research the outside world, but the real issue is Lucila. As the strongest among them and a demon by nature, she believes she can earn more by attacking humans than by managing a cafe. Raz now wants Yoshi to use his Momo Kun to fix her, but Yashi finds the idea nearly impossible.
Internally, he's screaming like a man who's just been asked to emotionally rehab a dragon with anger issues. Still, refusing to help could put him in trouble. So, he agrees internally, though he has no idea how to proceed.
Raz notices a box in his hands and asks about it. He tells them he brought something for them from a famous bakery near the train station. Cupcakes.
He presents the box like a proud father handing over his child, but all three waitresses refuse to eat them. Katria, being an elf, can't break her rule of not consuming others food. Raz, a dwarf, avoids getting addicted to anything made by human hands.
That leaves Lucila, who seems in no mood to Eve either. Raz tries to convince her by reminding her that poison doesn't affect her so she can accept Yoshi's kindness without worry. When Lucila still refuses, Raz orders her to eat as part of her past punishment.
Reluctantly, she picks up a piece and warns Yoshi that if it's poisoned, he won't live to see another day. As she takes the first bite, her eyes widen, and for a moment, she freezes in place. The taste overwhelms her, delicious beyond expectation, and she quickly devours the rest of the cupcake.
Raz and Katria watch her with growing curiosity. Lucila beams with delight, enjoying the cupcake to the last crumb. Raz remains puzzled, wondering how such a picky eater could like it so much, especially since demons are known for harsh food critiques.
As Raz approaches the cupcake box, she finds Katria already breaking her elf rule by taking a bite, too. Soon, all three of them are happily enjoying the cupcakes, and the scene gives Yoshi an overwhelming female vibe. To Yoshi, it's like watching a supernatural version of baking commercial sponsored by World Peace.
For the first time ever, Lucila praises something made by a human. Encouraged, Yoshi decides to educate Lucila further. He calls her closer, gently holds both her hands, and tells her that this world has many human foods, even tastier than this.
He explains that instead of attacking humans, she should consider giving their world a chance. Lucila, smiling now, agrees not to attack him anymore, though she still considers him an inferior human. Yoshi tells the others that despite being a demon, Lucila's personality is similar to its Sund dear.
Upon hearing this, she blushes with a smile. As they chat, Raz has a realization. She too could attract customers if they start selling sweets.
But when she asks Yoshi, he tells her that almost every cafe is already doing the same, which sounds like another problem to Raz. Raz then calls Katria over and points her toward an old antique machine. Katria walks over and takes a closer look.
Katria opens the antique like an archaeologist unlocking a tomb. Except this one smells like forgotten leftovers. Upon opening it, Yoshi finally realizes that it's a refrigerator, though not currently working properly.
Lucila asks if Katria can fix it, and she replies in her native Elvish language, which he can't understand at all. However, Raz and Lucila seem to grasp her meaning. They're missing ingredients.
Raz understands they'll now need to rely on her transporter, which is risky and illegal. She knows that using it might get them caught. Meanwhile, he feels that for the first time since meeting them, they've actually made some progress.
Yoshi arrives asking the three waitresses if they are ready to accompany him outside. Raz asked him to take them to check similar enemy cafes. He wants them to explore the human world and observe how other concept cafes operate.
After a short wait, Raz, Lucila, and Catria arrive, all dressed and ready for their first destination, a maid cafe. However, a new issue arises as each of them appears in their native attire. It look less like tourists and more like cosplayers who took the wrong train to a fantasy convention.
Yoshio immediately senses this might ruin their day. He insists they change their outfits, but each has a reason to refuse. Lucila states she won't go out without her poison proof clothes.
Raz refuses to leave without her ax, Rangarok. And Katria, as always, says something in her native Elvish tongue, which Yoshio fails to understand. Frustrated but determined, Yoshio decides to change their situation by taking them shopping.
Convincing a demon, a dwarf, and an elf to try modern fashion feels less like a makeover and more like domestic diplomacy. Soon all three are wearing decently casual clothes that suit the human world better. Now looking far more presentable, they begin their tour.
Yoshio guides them through Akiabara city and the vibrant surroundings leave them aruck. Even Lucila slowly begins to enjoy the human world. As they follow Yoshio, the group enters a mall where the unfamiliar yet exciting environment draws them into different activities.
Raz tags along with Yoshio into a toy section and finds herself fascinated by the colorful boxes on display. She eyes the boxes like a dwarf stumbling upon a suspiciously colorful treasure chest. She asks what they are and Yoshio explains they contain pieces that when assembled form a model matching the picture on the box.
To Raz, the models resemble small golems. She becomes deeply intrigued, prompting Yoshio to tell her not to overthink. rather than justifies buying one by saying it could serve as a self-defense tool.
Clearly just an excuse to indulge her curiosity. Meanwhile, Yoshio notices Ketri is struggling with a vending machine as she repeatedly fails to retrieve a toy. Her interest visibly fades with each failed attempt.
Seeing this, Yoshio approaches to help and asks if she really wants the toy. She responds in Elvish, prompting him to try getting it for her. However, the Toys R U prevents it from being gripped properly by the machine, and Yoshio continues to fail.
Each failed attempt steals a bit of her soul, as if the machine itself starts to feel embarrassed. Despite this, he reassures Katria he will succeed, and seeing her smile for the first time fills him with a strange happiness. Motivated, he puts in more effort.
And finally, he manages to retrieve the toy, handing it proudly to Catria. She responds once again in her native language, leaving Yoshio with a hint of regret that he never learned the Elvish tongue. As evening falls, Yoshio sits with Raz and Katria in a quiet spot, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.
Both waitresses seem cheerful. Yoshio tells them it's time to move on, and Raz mentions that she should head home, but Yoshia reminds her that his actual goal is to introduce them to Concept Cafes. Raz replies that they have no money left to go anywhere else.
In the middle of their discussion, they suddenly realize that Lucila is missing. Just as they begin to speculate where she might be, Lucila steps out of a car and walks over to them, still in her changed outfit. She struts back like a gangster who just turned a slot machine into a retirement plan.
She rejoins her fellow waitresses without asking for her clothes back. Raz compliments her, noting her customer behavior seems to be improving. Curious, Raz asks where she had been.
Lucila replies that she has just discovered another money-making secret. The group is surprised and asks what kind of work she has done. Lucila, clearly proud, reveals that she has found a simulation-based game and declares it to be a true land of gold.
She explains that the place hosts a game with blinding lights where players must catch fish marked with numbers. Today, she managed to catch three fish marked with the number seven, turning 500 yen into 50,000 yen. Her pride shines through as she narrates the victory.
Raz, however, immediately recognizes this as illegal gambling while Yoshia realizes that Lucila has now officially become a Pachinko probe by the end of the day. As they approach the cafe, Lucila spots the underground stairs and instantly feels like she's entering a dungeon. A nearby signboard reveals it's actually a themed cafe.
Realizing they can't afford to go in, the group considers using Lucila's Pachinko winnings. She refuses, warning that demon interest rates exceed 50%. Still, Yoshio tries to tempt her, promising that she'll enjoy the experience because this concept cafe is incredibly popular.
Lucila grows curious and asks what makes it so special. Yoshio explains that the cafe is called the Kingdom of Clumsiness, and just like the name suggests, all the waitresses inside are remarkably clumsy. Hearing this, Raz starts imagining herself conquering such a pathetic kingdom.
She pictures herself on a throne made of broken plates and spilled drinks, declaring war on poor motor skills. Surprisingly, Lucila finds this idea entertaining. Yoshio, meanwhile, urges them all to behave once they go inside and not cause any chaos.
As they enter, the clumsy waitresses cheerfully welcome them and lead them toward their table. Just then, one of the waitresses suddenly trips and falls, only to get up smiling and start behaving oddly cute and quirky. Raz finds her careless while Lucila, clearly annoyed, quietly thinks about using that waitress's intestines as a rope.
She stares in silence, already calculating how many meters of rope one human intestine might yield. Even Yoshio feels a little disturbed by the strange behavior. But he whispers that they are here only to observe the concept of this themed cafe.
The group settles at a table and looks around. They notice that other customers appear to be genuinely happy interacting with the clumsy waitresses. Lucila finds the atmosphere very different from their own cafe.
Raz comments that the entire place gives off a cheap, outdated cafe vibe. Soon, a waitress approaches and introduces herself as Luna. She announces that she has brought the cafe's most special cocktail just for them.
However, as she places the glasses on the table, Raz notices that they are completely empty. Confused, they stare at the glasses until Luna gasps dramatically, acting shocked that she has accidentally brought empty ones. She then cheerfully says oops and apologizes.
Yoshio finds her clumsy behavior adorable and tells the others how cute she seems, but Raz grows irritated. In her mind, she imagines delivering a powerful attack that could almost knock the waitress out. In reality, though, she simply grumbles to Yoshio that if she had brought her weapon along, she would have definitely struck her.
Yoshio then looks toward Katria, who has been reading the menu silently for a while. When he asks what she wants, she points the fried rice and places the order in her native language. Yoshio doesn't understand, but decides to go ahead and orders four servings of fried rice for the group.
While they wait, Yoshio tries to make conversation and tells them that the fried rice here is famous. He admits that he often comes just to eat it. Katria, meanwhile, continues to scan the rest of the menu, occasionally murmuring something.
Yoshio asks Lucila what Katria is saying. Lucila with a mischievous smile responds that Katria hopes he vomits blood. This reply makes Yoshio flinch.
Raz chuckles and remarks that he should really consider learning Elvish. Just then, they hear Luna's voice again as she returns with their order. However, instead of fried rice, she places plates of onagerie in front of them.
She proudly declares that she made them herself. Catria freezes, staring in disbelief. This wasn't what she had ordered.
Raz, annoyed, tells Luna that they clearly asked for fried rice, not onagery. Luna, true to character, dramatically apologizes again, saying she forgot the order and must have brought the wrong dish by mistake. To everyone's shock, Katrria's eyes begin to fill with tears.
Katria's silent heartbreak could be used in a documentary titled Elves and Emotional Damage: A Rice Tale. Seeing this, Luna quickly says she's only joking and that their actual order is ready. She'll bring it in a moment.
But Lucila gently calms Catri down, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. Yoshio watches this with surprise, realizing he's witnessing a demon showing empathy, something he never expected. Raz quietly leans toward Yoshio and tells him that according to ancient tales, anyone who makes an elf cry ends up facing a tragic fate.
He freezes like a man who's just realized he's seated next to a ticking elven curse bomb. He immediately becomes concerned for the waitress. After everything that happens, Raz grows furious.
She declares that humans can't just allow such strange creatures to make mistakes without consequences. Lucila agrees, finding the situation unacceptable. All three women stand up, vowing to take revenge for what has happened.
They begin planning their counterattack while Yoshio tries to calm them down, insisting that he doesn't want any trouble to break out here. Lucila, burning with rage, forms a complete plan for a counterattack. Yoshio quickly tries to stop her, asking what she will even gain from all this.
He urges her to find a more peaceful solution, but Lucila silences him and insists she will do what she wants. With a wicked smirk, she shares her plan to cast a demonic spell on the clumsy waitress's head, one strong enough that she won't be able to resist. Yoshio finds this terrifying, while Raz warns that the waitress might fight back, so she suggests attacking from behind.
Katria adds something to, but it's in her native Elvish language, which Yoshio doesn't understand, only making him more nervous. Katria contributes something in Elvish. And while Yoshio doesn't understand a word, the ominous background music in his head gets louder.
Suddenly, Yoshio's eyes catch a sign in the shop. It displays a challenge card that reads, "Duel with a maid. Win a prize.
Lose and face a punishment. " Raz reads it and asks Lucila if she's ready. Lucila, proud and confident, declares she has never lost to any member an inferior race.
Just then, Luna, having overheard their conversation, approaches with her usual clumsy energy. Yoshio, who has already read about the punishment clause, begins to worry even more. Luna asks in a loud theatrical voice who dares challenge her.
Lucila declares she'll defeat Luna with ease. Right before tripping on her own cloak while striking a pose, she boldly points at herself and announces her name, promising to kick Luna so hard she flies. Luna, however, continues her cute, chaotic behavior, drawing attention from all the other customers.
The rules are announced. The game is rock paper scissors. The winner gets to attack and the loser must defend.
Whoever lands a solid blow wins. Yoshio considers stopping Lucila again, but she's already deep into her villain monologue and no longer accepts feedback. Luna tells Lucila to begin.
Raz and Katrina cheer for her. Lucila, too confident, announces she prefers a death match where they hit each other until someone is knocked out, but Luna interrupts and says she forgot to mention something important. The loser must perform the Dojiko dance on stage.
Lucila's expression turns stone cold as Luna explains the dojiko dance as if someone just told her she'd have to perform taxes live on stage. She explains it's such a ridiculous dance that most people would rather flee than perform it. Yoshio now understands why no one dares to participate.
Luna then offers an extra reward. If Lucila manages to defeat her, she'll receive a collection of Luna's hot photo cards. Lucila finds this a bit strange, but still accepts, calling it a no return, high-risk match.
She promises to win anyway. Both prepare. They play rock paper scissors.
Lucil wins the first round. She grabs a hammer nearby and charges at Luna with lightning speed. Luna doesn't have time to react, but is saved by her helmet, taking the full force of the blow.
Raz and Katria watch in shock. How could a human block a demon's attack? A customer nearby proudly explains that Luna has never lost a match and that no one has ever earned even one of her photo cards.
He says Luna has crushed countless challengers and warns Lucila not to underestimate her. Lucil continues to win the game, landing one attack after another, but Luna blocks each one effortlessly. Now Lucila grows frustrated.
Luna calls her Miss Lucila and advises her to go for one strong hit instead of several weak ones, saying her strength is too dispersed. Lucila snaps, demanding not to be called miss. In the next round, Luna wins and quickly takes the offensive.
She grabs the hammer and dashes toward Lucila, who tries to put on a helmet, but her demon horns get in the way. Luna's hammer lands solidly on her, and the match ends with Luna's victory. Lucila immediately yells in protest, claiming it doesn't count because the helmet didn't fit due to her horns.
But Yoshio knows the final decision is up to the cafe staff. Surprisingly, Lucila's own teammates call her a loser. She stares at them in disbelief, unsure whose side they're really on.
As punishment, Luna drags Lucila toward the stage. But in a twist, Raz and Katria are forced to join her. All three now must perform the infamous dojiko dance.
With the whole cafe watching, the three girls begin their awkward performance. Their dance is so bizarre that it draws everyone's full attention. Customers laugh, cheer, and forget about everything else.
The crowd gasps, not because of Luna's defense, but because someone finally used the cafe helmet for its actual purpose. Luna watches happily, then sends them off with a cheerful wish for a good trip. Outside the cafe, the three girls sit in frustration, embarrassed by their loss in the dance punishment.
But Yoshi of smiling reminds them that what really matters is having fun. Eventually, all of them agree they had an unexpectedly fun day. Now it's time for another victim to arrive at the concept cafe, and it turns out to be none other than Yoshio's junior, Tamako.
Yoshio informs her that she's in for a surprise, especially since he had no idea Tamako even liked concept cafes. She had overheard Yoshio talking about it in the office and found his description so interesting that she insisted on tagging along the next time he visited. Her excitement is obvious, and Yoshio decides to take her there himself.
As they open the cafe door, the three waitresses greet them with their usual routine. Tomaco practically skips the whole way, looking like she's heading to Disneyland instead of a cafe run by socially unstable fantasy creatures. Lucila mutters a dry yay, "Welcome home without much effort.
" Tamako is visibly amazed by the cafe's theme and decor, calling it incredibly cute. She expresses her admiration for the atmosphere, impressed by how everything fits the theme perfectly. Yoshio had already warned the staff in advance that he'd be bringing a junior along and asked them to behave to avoid unnecessary trouble.
Tamako, full of curiosity, starts asking questions about the place, and Yoshio explains that everything here fits into the cafe's unique concept. He adds that the girls working here were all exiled from their tribes, which surprisingly is true. She blinks as if realizing she's walked into a cafe run by the fantasy version of workplace rejects.
Tameco wonders aloud if the girls are actually sununders and Yoshio confirms it explaining that it means being cold on the outside but warm on the inside. The waitresses, especially Raz, had agreed to play along and attract customers by acting the part, though Yoshio had also mentioned to them that the term could be a bit misleading. However, Yoshio hasn't told Tamako everything.
Soon enough, Tamako orders the famous elf omelette. Lucila approaches her with a suspiciously friendly smile and asks if she's really Yoshio's Jr. When Tamako confirms that she came out of sheer curiosity, Lucila introduces herself and begins telling grand stories about her past life, describing herself as a notorious troublemaker who got sent to this world as a result.
TECO finds the stories amusing until Lucila starts going off track, declaring herself as super Sundere and boasting about ordering Sundere themed merchandise recently. At that point, Tamakco begins to suspect something is off. She's no expert, but she's pretty sure Sunders don't usually stare like they're deciding where to bury your body.
Yoshio quickly assures her that Lucila is just joking. Though deep inside, he senses trouble brewing. Soon, Raz yells at Lucila, accusing her of trying to steal the customer by showing off her Sundere persona all by herself.
Just then, Katria arrives carrying Tamakaco's omelette and places it in front of her. The plate is decorated with the word Sundere as well. Tomaco begins to realize something's wrong.
All three waitresses have completely misunderstood the term. When she looks at Katrina, the elf is giving her a strangely intense smile that sends chills down her spine. Lucila confronts Katria, calling her sneaky for doing the same thing, trying to steal the customer's attention.
She even calls Katria a sundere, to which Katria responds in her native language. Raz, now visibly annoyed, warns them both that if they continue behaving like this, she'll have to unleash her special weapon at Sundere Golem. She's been preparing just for this occasion.
Meanwhile, Tamako finishes her omelette and compliments the taste. But just as she's about to relax, she hears a strange voice calling its master. Amused at first, she turns around only to see a massive golem towering behind her.
She immediately panics, asking Yoshio to make the waitresses stop whatever's going on. Raz calmly explains that the golem is there to observe guests and isn't dangerous. Even the golem itself says it desires peace.
The golem's soft spoken voice is so polite it might qualify for customer service training, unlike the actual staff. But the three waitresses, completely ignoring the calm explanation, start fighting again over who best represents Sundere traits. The argument quickly escalates, and their bickering turns aggressive.
Yoshio and Tamako watch the entire spectacle unfold in disbelief. Before long, the waitresses start dragging Tamako into their madness, using her as the test subject in their argument. They each try to prove they're the most sund dear by performing ridiculous and borderline terrifying acts around her.
Tomaco finds herself being pushed, grabbed, and scolded as each waitress competes to outdo the other. None of them seems to remember that they're in a customer service job. Yoshio finally realizes that no one here actually understands the real meaning of Sundere.
He shouts at them to stop and demands to know what they think they're doing. Lucila quickly apologizes and Raz admits that she lost her focus. The chaos dies down, but Tamako is already too exhausted from the whole ordeal.
She tells Yoshio that she's going home and he apologizes saying he didn't intend for things to go like this. Tamakco responds that while she didn't really feel any Sundere vibes, she did manage to forget about work for a while and enjoy herself, which made it worthwhile. As she leaves, she adds that maybe, just maybe, she'll come back one day.
With that, she shuts the cafe door behind her. A little while later, the three waitresses finally understand what Sundere actually means. But it's a little too late.
They nod in solemn understanding as if they've just completed a crash course in how to not scare customers 101. I am know it's been a while. I was in denial about my love.
Here I stand. I know I walked away. I'd found the person I'd become.
