now it's funny because I actually just came back from Germany I was visiting one of my clients now this client pays my agency a retainer fee of 3,500 pounds which is the equivalent of like $4,500 now you know my YouTube is all about entrepreneurship my YouTube is all about social media marketing and people ask me all the time they're like 'hey man you know i-i can't command high fees because i don't know how to deliver on social media growth or Facebook ads or Adwords or this thing or that thing and you know I tell them
all the time you know for example with this client they're specifically paying thirty five hundred for Facebook advertising services I tell people all the time I'm like just use the Expedia business model now let me explain Expedia made ten billion dollars in 2017 now Expedia knows absolutely nothing about you know how to make how to have an awesome in-flight food or how to have a great hotel ambience it knows nothing about that right all Expedia does is connect the customer with the service with the offer okay and I tell people to do the same in
social media marketing and when they're building their agencies right so if we look at this thirty five hundred pound or you know yeah let's just call it thirty five hundred four point five K dollars wherever country you're from this thirty five hundred pound a month retainer right and that's just my service fee all I do is I connect my client to my contractor right this person that I paid on a per client basis let's just say a thousand pounds you know just saying all I do is connect that person and as an example I make
twenty five hundred pounds a month pretty much passively all I need to do is I need to wrap it under my agency right and that's what Expedia does you know I'm an Expedia VIP gold thing you know I I use Expedia to book my travels long so I'm the top tier you know travel perk whatever right and when I go on holidays and trips they actually give me free upgrades to you know or they give me a late check-out and they give me free ocean view upgrades and all this stuff see what they do is
they connect me with the flights and the hotels but they wrap it under the Expedia experience that is what you need to do when you were building your marketing agency it doesn't matter if you don't know anything about Facebook ads or AdWords you can sell it right now because you can just outsource it to a contractor who's gonna be a lot better than you anyways and that leaves you to do the most important things which is you know actually selling building the agency building your onboarding process builds making sure that your invoicing system is on
point okay now once again for example with me with Facebook Ads I know how to do Facebook Ads Expedia understands the model the business model of traveling to understand that the hotel industry the flight industry but it went it goes they can handle what they're good at and I'm gonna handle what I'm good at which is you know an Expedia case driving traffic to those offers and in your case it's selling actually building an agency being a business owner rather than trying to deliver the services yourself you have to work on the business not in
it okay and as I said the funny thing is Expedia makes more money than these flights these hope it makes more profit than these like mostly these airlines and mostly these hotels right in my case I make way more money than my contractors but the thing is I know I have something that my contractors don't have which is an agency they're just a contractor I'm an agency now what's the real difference you know I'm here at my London crib like I just work from here you know what's the real difference I position myself as an
