inventory of new cars as in cars just sitting around Gathering dust and costing dealers money because they're sitting in parking lots that cost money to actually maintain and own has hit a new record high so that means that car manufacturers some of them are really really struggling they're trying to pretend that everything's okay but it's not really the case these are the car brands in America that are while hitting the crisis button hello my friends welcome to the channel I'm Sam Evans you're watching the electric Viking great to have you with us welcome to the new subscribers all 19,000 new subscribers over the last four weeks great to have you with us as well new car inventories have hit a record high in the United States with nearly 3. 2 million Vehicles available Nationwide uh that are just sort of sitting around a lot of them some brands are really really struggling new vehicle sales did increase in November in the United States but inventory levels actually grew at a faster Pace than new vehicle sales some automakers are doing okay in terms of inventory levels some of them are really really really struggling sales Rose by 6. 5% in America last month with 67,000 more cars sold compared to October so you'd think that' be a good number but yeah I mean it's not for everyone this growth happened even as the average listing price for a new vehicle climbed by 1.
8% to $49,000 a figure that also represents a 2. 8% increase from the same period last year meanwhile the average transaction price of a new vehicle Rose by $72 over the previous month hitting 48,3 now you'd think at a market like this that um well apparently according to the mainstream media EV sales are struggling but in fact they're not electric car sales are growing for example Fords of EV sales surged by 21% um so did many other car brands that means that internal combustion cars they're struggling their Market is shrinking that's true it's a statistical fact according to newly released data from Cox Automotive there were 3. 15 million new vehicles in inventory across the country at the start of November this is the highest figure we have seen in a very long time many automakers are sitting on much more than the industrywide average cast coup says a few brands are managing titer inventories but many of them are not Lexus and Toyota uh don't have a lot of inventory neither does or Honda is not too bad 62 days BMW 64 days Subaru 66 Kia 77 Chrysler 79 days Porsche 80 Days as you can see Porsche is sitting on a bit of inventory and considering the enormous inventory Porsche are sitting on in China things are starting to look like Porsche is going to be struggling I actually think um Porsche is going to be one of the automakers that we're going to be looking really examining over the next few years and seeing how they are going to be struggling Big Time who is doing the worst in America well jaguar and Lincoln they're the two absolute worst but there's a few brands that are not far behind them position isn't surprising given the brand hasn't launched any new models in years and um well it's to be honest but have done nothing Lincoln has been struggling with growing inventory challenges in recent months despite the fact it recorded a 28.
