Bathsheba an intriguing woman which played a central role in the greatest sin of the most King of Israel King David but who also was the mother of the most King in the Bible. Solomon and finally she manages to enter the genealogy of Jesus so make yourself comfortable because today we will reveal to you all about Bathsheba's life King David's most beloved woman Bathsheba was a very beautiful woman daughter of Eliam one of David's bravest warriors and was also aitofel's granddaughter one of the King's closest advisors however, the most important detail is that she was married to Uriah one of David's most loyal soldiers the life of Bathsheba was about to change radically at that time in Israel's history King David was already a successful King his fame as King warrior and conqueror was known throughout Israel. to the point that the Bible narrates that David had decided not to travel with his troops to battle.
trusted his war general's strategies. called yoab so David had a lot of free time so he used to take long walks around his palace in Jerusalem the lives of Bathsheba and David would intertwine one day that she decided to take a bath on the roof of her house. while bathing there was someone watching her from a balcony it was David who in his spare time used to stay on the terrace of the palace looking at the city from above but that day David did not look at the city but stayed to look at Bathsheba while she took a bath to the point that the Bible says that David began to feel very much desire for her for Bathsheba was a very beautiful woman.
Bathsheba did not know that was being observed in this way by King David let us remember that at that time in David's life he already had many wives and concubine women however, the desire I had felt for Bathsheba while he was bathing was so big who asked his servants to find out who she was his servants informed him that Bathsheba was the wife of Uriah one of the most loyal soldiers was also informed that Uriah was not at home. since I was in battle and that he would not come until after a few months with this information David knew he could not take Bathsheba as his wife. or concubine but moved by their carnal desires and in view of the fact that Bathsheba's husband was not at home decided to make a proposal to Bathsheba in person so that sent his servants to invite her to the palace.
Bathsheba impressed by the King's invitation went to the palace beautiful and radiant captivating David even more she was not aware nor aware of the King's intentions David tells Bathsheba that spent only that night with him and then returned home I still understand what happens that night with him. Bathsheba accepted and that night she went to David's until the morning of the next day at dawn Bathsheba went home and aware of the sin he had committed performed the purification ritual and left in oblivion that night of sin with the King on David's side he was also aware that he had committed a sin in addition to the fact that Urias Bathsheba's husband was very loyal to him. therefore David wanted to hide his sin with Bathsheba at all costs.
after a few months Bathsheba asked David's servants an urgent and private meeting with the King due to the urgency David received it and in this meeting Bathsheba informed David that she was pregnant by him. since Uría, her husband had not yet returned from the war the only man who had been intimate with her it was him David dismayed by the news, he tried to hide the sin. so he sent a letter to the directly to joab his war general in that letter asked him to send Uriah to the palace urgently.
the general did not understand David's order since the war was not yet over but out of obedience to David sent Uriah to the palace Uría showed up at the palace even in his battle uniform thinking that the King I would entrust him with some special work related to war David received it at the royal table with lots of wine gave him a present and told Uriah to share a few glasses of wine with him as David planned to get him drunk and then send him home to sleep with Bathsheba. Urias to finally think that this son was his. Uriah told the King that he did not understand this order.
since the war was not over and that he did not see fit to go home to rest while his teammates were fighting David in view of the fact that his plan was not working ordered Urias to go home at that moment. but Uriah did not obey this order from the King. but left the real table and stayed with the palace guards David's servants was informed that Urias was with the palace guards and that he was not going to his house very upset because his plan did not work out and in view of Uriah's determination made a sinister plan for Urias to die again wrote a letter to his war general where I ordered him to put Uriah where the battle is most bloody and to leave him alone until he is killed by enemies.
David sealed this letter and asked Urias himself to take her Uriah took the letter and obeyed the order unaware that he was carrying a letter in his hands that would take away life the war general read David's letter and once again did not understand the King's order but obeyed and during the battle he abandoned Uriah who was seriously injured and until he finally passed away on the. David learned of Uriah's death and felt relief because with this murder had been able to save his reputation and that of Bathsheba since she would now be free to marry him. in this part of the account it is not known if Bathsheba was David's accomplice in this sinister plan what is recorded in the Bible is that after the death of Uriah Bathsheba married David and went to live in the palace with him this act disd God in the extreme and in its infinite darkness waited for the opportune moment to punish David for their sins despite these terrible events David and Bathsheba loved each other even David came to love Bathsheba more than his other women to the point that he promised her that the son he would have with her would be the new King remember that David already had more children with his other wives but this promise was made only to her believed that he had managed to God's justice.
and that their sins would go unpunished God sent the prophet Nathan to confront David this prophet told him that because of sin with Bathsheba and the of Uriah the son I was expecting Bathsheba would be born seriously ill David recognized his sin before the prophet and asked for forgiveness but God did not withdraw the punishment Bathsheba gave birth to a boy but as the prophet said the child was born very sick to the point that it was not known whether he would live or die. David to see that his son with the woman he loved the most was sick locked himself in his bedroom and begged God to forgive him for all his sins and to heal his son but there was no response from God for 6 days. the child was very sick during these days David humiliated himself before God without eating locked in his bedroom begging him to heal his son however, on the 7th day with David still locked up and without food the child passed away such was David's sadness and humiliation that his servants did not want to give him the news that his son had died David heard the cries and wailing on the other side of your bedroom and understood that his son had already passed away upon confirming the death of the child David washed his face changed his clothes and went to the temple to worship God.
accepting the punishment for their grave sins then went to the palace to comfort Bathsheba. who wasd in darkness and repented for their sins she also accepted the punishment that God had given them both David and Bathsheba's repentance was genuine they also rectified their lives living under God's designs soon after Bathsheba got pregnant again by David and gave birth to another boy this child was named Solomon God allowed David to honor the promise he made to Bathsheba so over the years Solomon would become the heir to King David.
