hello and welcome to the ideal career guided visualization for creating a job you love perhaps you've come to this recording because you are considering changing careers or are simply looking to rekindle a passion for your current job whatever your reason for beginning this meditation do not worry you will doubtless find yourself with new ideas and inspiration by the end of it this meditation makes use of both guided visualization and affirmation techniques I have chosen this combination in order to help you discover new inspiration as well as boost your confidence whether you are a homebased entrepreneur
or the CEO of a major corporation you can benefit from thinking outside the box your only focus for the next 15 minutes or so is to let go of your preconceived notions about your dream job and to let whatever appears in your mind to come and go as it will I know this is easier said than done and that is where the guided visualization part of this meditation comes in as we begin seek yourself in a comfortable quiet place where you know you will not be disturbed if you like you can even listen to this
meditation as you get ready in the morning or commute to work feel your breathing begin to slow down just a bit and become conscious of any places in your body you may be holding tension each of us carries stress a little bit differently and becoming aware of your own storage Depot for worry will help you immensely as you go forward notice your shoulders your neck and your belly are your lips tight your forehead creased your tongue glued to the roof of your mouth imagine your muscles loosening just the slightest bit letting go of whatever they
are carrying you are fully present in this moment aware of your body and your breath and thoughts of the past and the future do not need to concern you give yourself permission to let go at the center of your chest a gentle excitement begins to unfold we have many words for this feeling some call it anticipation enthusiasm Elation Intrigue others call it passion however you want to label this emotion does not matter no matter how you perceive it it begins to grow enveloping your entire body with a sense of purpose and possibility feel feel it
warm you from the inside out melting away mental exhaustion and deadline fatigue in this space everything is possible and attainable you are a force to be reckoned with whether you realize this or not you are calm you are confident and you are ready for any situation you know that frustrating co-workers or supervisors are people with something to teach you and a unique story to tell a challenging project or looming deadline is an opportunity for you to do your best and rise to the occasion you are a master of your time and your energy and you
know when something or someone will drain you you are compassionate but firm responsible but practical you see and think creatively and Implement ideas with great efficiency You Do no harm but you take no abuse there are literally millions of opportunities available to you each day and you are a master at choosing the ones that Delight you most you know best what will bring you Joy and how to juggle the many roles you carry with you you are exquisitely aware of your gifts and talents and find Partnerships that bring out the best in every member of
the team you are a confident leader and a skillful follower you are ready for whatever the world throws at you with this in mind allow images and sensations of your ideal workplace to come to mind it drifts into your imagination easily effortlessly brushing away any thoughts from your day that may have cropped up Place yourself in this scene feel the temperature of the air around you hear the sounds of the people or environment around you and above all feel feel the anticipation the excitement within yourself [Music] as you grow more comfortable with this place allow
yourself to observe more closely where are you what are the people around you doing or are you alone is the workpace around you large and Airy or small and cozy is it loud colorful busy or an oasis of a quiet industry how many co-workers or employees do you have what is your work here when the details become clearer you can start to imagine your workday when do you come to work and when do you leave what does work mean do you think big picture or are you the master of many small complex details who do
you work with what do your interactions look like do you take breaks and if so what do you do and where do you go how do you relax after a day or night at this job or are you so energized that work feels like play how do you define success begin to think of ways you can bring these feelings experiences or environments to your own job if you want to give back see if your company will give you an extra paid day off to volunteer at a homeless shelter this year if you crave a clean
modern office spend an hour or so researching inexpensive decorating or reorganizing tips if you dream of working out of a Beachside office or a chalet in southern France find ways to call up this environment in your own workpace perhaps you could add a small fountain to your desk or take your staff out for a meeting at a hole in the wall Bistro if you long to start your own business find ways to make time to talk to those already in business for themselves even the smallest steps bring you closer to creating your perfect job with
