Today on "Summing It Up". . .
"The Maze Runner" trilogy. Or "The Guy Who Runs in a Labyrinth. " This is the story of Thomas, a boy who wakes up one morning in a cage and, when he opens it, finds a bunch of other kids who live on that land surrounded by very high walls.
These kids have been living there for three years, eating what they grow and having fun setting things on fire, drinking alcohol, fighting and, I guess, masturbating a lot. A lot. This group has two things in common.
They're all men. And none of them remember anything before appearing in the cage. They don't remember anything.
Little by little, Thomas will get to know this group of characters. And they are. .
. The one from "Sense8" as the leader. The one from "Black Mirror" as the bully.
The one from "GOT" as the good guy. Minho, as the experienced runner who also made a model of the whole labyrinth. Chuck, as the symbol of tenderness in the movie who also carved a little doll to give to his parents because he misses them.
Oh, Chuck's so sweet. I hope he doesn't die. And the others!
We don't know their names but they are probably the hairdressers in the group because they all look so neat. Everything seemed to be going well on this man-scented lot, but in fact it's not going so well because every morning some gates that lead to a maze open. And it looks like the maze leads to an exit.
A group of selected children, called "the runners", enter the maze to look for the exit. But they must return before nightfall because when it gets dark the gates are closed and NO ONE has EVER survived the maze at night. Because at night these creatures come out.
Besides killing you they can also sting you and generate an infection that turns you into a zombie. Like this kid. Besides turning you into a zombie, it makes you remember things from the past.
The thing is that one night Minho, the fastest runner of all runners, is about to be left inside the maze for trying to save Sens8, who was stung. Thomas enters the maze to help, and the two of them get locked in. We all think they're going to die because, as I said before, NO ONE has EVER survived the maze at night.
But, but, but. . .
You have to listen to the girls. Never lose faith! Yes, the girls are right.
Because he's the protagonist and the protagonist doesn't die. Instead, he lives. He lives an experience that has never happened before.
I can't believe it, Ten Shin Han! This has never happened before! He not only lives but kills one of those creatures.
This has never happened before! He not only kills one of the creatures but removes some metal from its body. --never happened before!
Thomas, Minho and Sense8 return triumphant and everyone is very happy. . .
But. . .
Black Mirror is suspicious. Yeah, that's suspicious. They didn't advance a single square for three years and Thomas arrives and advances half a board.
It's strange. I think it's a lie too. But there is no time to question anything because a new member arrives.
Actually, a new GIRL member. . .
Teresa. . .
the first girl in the group. She arrives with a note that says no one else will be arriving. And she also comes with injections that heal Sense8.
And he starts to remember. You'll pay for this. Yeah, he blames it all on Thomas.
And he says he's responsible for them all being there. But there is no time to look for culprits because some gates open and the creatures start coming out to kill all the characters that have no name. Let's attack!
The only important death is Sense8's. Then Thomas injects one of the creatures' legs to remember. And he remembers that both he and Teresa worked for the company that put them in there.
Then Black Mirror says, "Enough, it's over! Before these two arrived we were very well and happy setting things on fire and masturbating. I say we kill them.
" And Thomas says, "That's crazy. I think with this gadget we can kill them. Those of you who are with me, follow me and I will not let you down.
" "Those who want to stay here and masturbate, follow me," says Black Mirror. Then the characters who have names and some others go with Thomas who, despite being there for three days, knows the route of the labyrinth quite well and knows how to use the gadget that's actually a key to open a door. So they get to a lab where they're all dead and find a video of a blonde lady telling them, "The world went to hell because of global warming and a virus.
We locked you in there for three years to train you because you're special and immune to the virus. And we use you to find the cure. Not so special because it took you a while to get through the tests.
That's why in the last three days we gave you a little help because otherwise it wouldn't end. You may wonder why we locked you in a maze with giant spiders and erased your memory to find a cure. But those are questions that will never be answered.
Okay, Lampy. And then. .
. Bang! She shoots herself.
And she dies. Then a new door opens. The gang is about to leave when suddenly.
. . Black Mirror appears.
It is not known how he managed to get there since he didn't know the route of the labyrinth, the doors had closed and it was full of creatures. Anyway. .
. he arrived. He tells the gang that it's best to stay and masturbate in a group.
"We won't stay," says Thomas. Then Black Mirror shoots him. And Minho throws the spear at Black Mirror.
And Black Mirror. . .
dies. And well, now the gang can go out in peace. .
. Nooo! NOOO!
CHUCK! Damn it! !
I HATE YOU BLACK MIRRROR! You better give that doll to Chuck's parents, Thomas. Otherwise, I'll kill you.
I swear I'll mow him down. And Chuck. .
. dies. Goodbye Chuck, we will always remember you for being the symbol of tenderness in this movie and the engine for the protagonist to achieve his goals.
Just like Rue in "The Hunger Games". Here above I leave you the summary of "The Hunger Games" in case you haven't seen it. Then our favorite gang escapes in a helicopter and it all continues in "The Maze Runner 2: Revenge of the Labyrinths.
" Our friends are taken to a facility where there are other survivors from other mazes. This place is run by the great Little Finger. He tells the kids, "Don't worry, we're good.
The bad guys are the ones who locked you in the maze. Trust me. " But Thomas saw "Games of Thrones" and he knows this guy can't be trusted.
Then he starts researching and finds out that there are a lot of kids hanging, like suspended, to find a cure for the zombie virus. And he also discovers that these people and the people in the maze are the same group of people. And they're all evil.
So Thomas says to his friends, "Friends, friends, let's escape from this place because they're going to hang us by our testicles. " Then they start running away from that place which is very labyrinthine. Of course, the saga is still called "The Maze Runner.
" There must be people running and mazes. At one point they're about to be caught but Minho thinks, "I'm an oriental, I must know martial arts. " And yes, he does.
They escape from the laboratory and from now on the only thing they will do in the film is to escape from labyrinthine places. They escape from a zombie in a labyrinthine factory, they escape from Little Finger in another labyrinthine factory, they escape from another zombie in a labyrinthine sewer and they escape from other zombies in a ruined and labyrinthine building. On the way they meet a lot of new friends, most of them famous for other series or movies.
For example, a girl from "GOT", the girl from "Alita", the great Gustavo Fringe and Aris. I don't know him from anywhere else. The thing is that by walking, running and labyrinthing, the gang reaches a resistance led by this woman.
If her face sounds familiar, it's because you've seen "The Conjuring. " If her face doesn't sound familiar, it's because you haven't seen "The Conjouring. " I'll leave the summary up here.
Her husband is also a very well-known actor. I had a hard time finding out who he was since he has a beard here and he doesn't usually have one. But I finally found out.
I wonder if you can find out, too. One clue: he was in World War II and in a death row prison. If you know who he is, write his name in the comments with one hand.
With the other hand subscribe and like the video. With the other hand, take your cell phone and follow me on Instagram, 'cause I'm on Instagram. And on Twitter, 'cause I'm on Twitter.
Let's continue. The good news is that the conjuring lady got the cure for the zombie virus using Thomas' blood. The bad news is that Little Finger and the military arrive and start shooting.
Fortunately, the protagonists have LUCK LUCK LUCK on their side. When the rebels are about to kill them they have the LUCK LUCK LUCK that one of them knew Aris. When Thomas is about to blow himself up they have the LUCK LUCK LUCK that Gustavo Fringe arrives to save them.
When Little Finger is about to execute Thomas they have the LUCK LUCK LUCK that Alita arrives to save him. That was a lot of LUCK LUCK LUCK. The bad guys end up taking Teresa and Minho.
And the very famous actor with the beard says to the rest of them, "Let's fuck off because they're coming back. " And Thomas says, "No, I'm not going anywhere. I'm tired of running.
Let's go find them and beat them up. " Then things go on and end up in "The Maze Runner 3: Now It' s Personal". The film begins with a train robbery where Minho is and where they abuse the power of LUCK LUCK LUCK.
Gustavo Fringe and Alita shoot at the train while Thomas and the bearded man get on the train and put some explosives in some wagons to separate them from the rest. The explosive explodes and by LUCK LUCK LUCK the wagon ends up where the guy from "GOT" is waiting to open the door. Gustavo Fringe and Alita are being chased by a ship and caught but by LUCK LUCK LUCK the soldiers stand on a trap door.
The other group is opening the wagon and more soldiers arrive but by LUCK LUCK LUCK Gustavo Fringe arrives with the ship to take the wagon. And he takes it away. But the worst thing is that Minho wasn't in that wagon.
. . There were other characters.
Among them was Aris. . .
but it seems it wasn't in the plans to rescue him. Then Thomas and the gang go to town to rescue Minho. And now hold on to your hat because during the mission the LUCKYMETER is going to explode because of the amount of coincidences that will accompany this gang.
When the zombies are about to catch them, they have the LUCK LUCK LUCK that Alita comes to save them. When they are walking to get to the city they are about to be caught by some soldiers but they have the LUCK LUCK LUCk that other rebels arrive to save them. Then they infiltrate a laboratory with some military suits they never explain how they got and when they are about to catch them they have the LUCK LUCK LUCK that Minho remembers that he is oriental and that he must know martial arts.
And he does. When they are about to be caught again they have the LUCK LUCK LUCK that the window faces a pool so they jump in and nothing happens to them. When Alita escapes on a bus with other hostages and the police stop them, they have the LUCK LUCK LUCK that the bus stopped under a crane that saves them with a hook.
When they're about to be caught again but they have the LUCK LUCK LUCK that there's an infiltrator there. Molte coincidenze. I forgot to tell you!
Several scenes back, when they are rescued by a group of rebels, we discover that the leader of this group is none other than. . .
. . .
the guy from "Black Mirror". How he survived the spear and what he did during all this time are questions that will never be answered. Ok?
Ok, Lampy! The good news is that Teresa discovers that Thomas' blood is the undisputed cure for the virus. The bad news is that the guy from "GOT" turns into a zombie and Thomas has to kill him.
Meanwhile a group of rebels entered the city and began to break everything and throw bombs everywhere. Thomas and Teresa manage to get out to the terrace of a building that is about to collapse. It looks like they're going to die but they're LUCKY LUCKY LUCKY that the gang arrives with their ship.
Teresa helps the badly wounded Thomas up to the ship but then she realizes that she can't do it. You may wonder why. If you could throw a guy on the ship, you clearly have the strength to jump.
But it seems that she has neither strength nor desire to live because she lets herself die. It all ends with the survivors living very happily and peacefully on an island. Thomas reaches into his pocket, pulls out the cure for the zombie virus and thinks, "I'll sell it and become a millionaire.
" The end. But you know what the worst part was? Really the worst shit?
At no point did Thomas meet Chuck's parents to give them the doll! I've been waiting the whole saga for that to happen! That's crazy!
You mocked me! This was the summary of "The Maze Runner. " If you want to see other summaries of teenage sagas I leave you some here.
