The Talk this this morning will be given by local speaker brother Nicholas krupi and we invite him now to the platform to deliver his theme stay awake why and how have you ever been in such a deep sleep that you slept through your morning alarm well I'm sure it's happened to most of us before how did you feel though when you woke up and realized that you were late were you calm without a care well of course not It would have come as a shock to you you would have entered into a panic rushing to
get ready as fast as you could for school or work let's think of this scenario now in a figurative sense we are currently living in a time where the alarm has begun to sound for the end of this system how do we know that have you heard this sound of this alarm well the Bible helps us to know what to listen or look out For when we see these aspects being fulfilled the alarm Bells should go off in our mind let's see what the Bible prophesied about this time period in 2 Timothy 3 and veres
1 through to 5 2 Timothy 3 1:5 says but know this that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here for men will be lovers of themselves lovers of money boastful hay blasphemers disobedient to parents Unthankful disloyal having no natural affection not open to any agreement slanderers without self-control Fierce without love of goodness betrayers headstrong puffed up with pride lovers of Pleasures rather than lovers of God having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power isn't it true that the this description of what would occur during the last
days fits perfectly with what we see in the world Today but we find that even with this clear evidence from the Bible people are often skeptical to the point that they ridicule the idea that this system will end in a sense it is as if people are asleep not conscious of the warning signs around them in comparison to physical sleep that is necessary to maintain good health spiritual sleep is not beneficial for us and can lead us to Serious consequences Now what if our morning alarm goes off we are awoken from sleep this time but
instead of jumping up out of bed and getting to action we hit the snooze button so we can be aware of the need to get up to stay awake but still want to sleep on the Apostle Paul warns against pressing the snooze button in first Thessalonians 5 and verse 6 if you would like to turn there with me we can read it Together first Thessalonians 5:6 there he says so then let us not sleep on as the rest do but let us stay awake and keep our senses here Paul talks about not continuing to be
in a sleep-like state don't press the the snooze button in a figurative sense we want to stay awake remain alert we want to be active what does that involve the study note for this scripture brings out the Following when a person is sleeping he generally does not know what is going on around him and is unaware of the passing of time likewise one who is spiritually asleep fails to discern important developments related to Jehovah's purpose and the Swift approach of his day so conversely if we are spiritually awake we will successfully discern important developments related
to Jehovah's purpose and the Swift approach Of his day and most importantly act accordingly by staying focused on doing Jehovah's will that is why in our talk today we want to discuss three main points one why is it a challenge to stay awake spiritually two how we can stay awake and three what it takes to remain awake as Jehovah's day neares let's consider that first aspect together why is it a challenge to stay awake we can once again compare this to the challenge of staying awake Physically in order to physically fall asleep our bodies naturally
produce a hormone called melatonin melatonin production is a response to Darkness as melatonin levels rise it puts you into a sleep-like state um that helps promote sleep so it has a lot to do with the environment that we are in does the environment that we are currently in promote spiritual sleep well we find the Answer at first John 5:19 there it says we know that we originate with God but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one we can see clearly from this verse that the world that we live in is
being controlled by someone who does not want us to stay awake spiritually Satan has in effect engineered a world that is conducive for Spiritual sleep the spiritual Darkness around us Lows people into a false sense of security but Jesus did not want his followers to be so easily fooled he wanted us to be alert to the things that Satan would use to distract us from our worship Look what Jesus warned us against in Luke 21: 34 and 35 that's Luke 2134 and 35 Jesus warned us but pay attention to yourselves that your heart never becomes
Weighed down with overeating and heavy drinking and anxieties of life and suddenly that day be instantly upon you as a snare for it will come upon all those dwelling on the face of the whole Earth in this verse we see two aspects that can make it challenging to stay awake spiritually firstly Jesus warns us not to become weighed down with overeating and heavy drinking now we don't want to be Mistaken thinking that Jesus was condemning the enjoyment of food and drink rather he warned against the spirit of this world which promotes overindulging and a lack
of self-control what effect could Habits Like These have on our spiritual alertness have you ever had a big lunch and then afterward begun to feel drowsy well if that is the effect of a big lunch we can imagine how much more so the habit of overindulging could in Effect dull our spiritual or dull our senses becoming overly preoccupied with self-satisfaction could lead us to spiritual drowsiness along with that the second aspect Jesus warns us about in that verse is not becoming weighed down with anxieties of Life the footnote for anxieties of Life says or anxieties
over livelihood worries of daily life what do these worries of daily life Include we see a few in our image here things such as financial troubles family problems health concerns these are regular things that we all encounter in a world controlled by Satan can you relate to one of these three stresses when was the last time you recall going through one of these situations was it fairly recent maybe even Currently how did you feel when you were experiencing this hardship did you feel weighed down overwhelmed tired instead of turning to Jehovah to help us endure
Satan is hoping that these worries of life will consume our time and energy so that we begin to tie spiritually and eventually give up and if that doesn't work to cope with these anxieties of Life Satan even provides false Solutions Financial problems Center your life around pursuing secular work and higher education family issues fill the void with Pursuits of material possessions and entertainment instead we call these false Solutions because their aim is not actually to solve the problems we face so what is the aim Satan cunningly uses things that we enjoy even things that are
necessary for life and if he can just get us to allow The pursuit of these things to overtake the pursuit of spiritual things he can get us to fall asleep spiritually with so many distractions Satan's World tries to drown out the sound of that alarm ringing and he has succeeded we see many today are apathetic to the good news unaware of the urgency of the time we live in could this attitude influence us into seeing no harm in hitting the snooze button on our worship to Jehovah that is why in the fight to keep our
senses if we look back at the beginning of verse 34 Jesus says to pay attention to yourself so we know what to look out for we are alert to the spiritual dangers surrounding us now we want to consider how to keep awake in the following verse of Luke 21 verse 36 let's read what Jesus said next that's Luke 2136 there Jesus says keep awake then all the time making supplication that you may succeed in escaping all these things that must occur and in standing before the son of man to combat spiritual sleepiness notice what Jesus
said is a must all the time making supplication one reference note describes supplications in this way supplications are prayers that involve Earnest pleading a person might Supplicate God when under stress or in Peril as Jesus did often such prayers are offered repeatedly that definition of offered repeatedly is highlighted in this verse where it says all the time this means constant repeated Earnest prayer to Jehovah for help so if we stand any chance of keeping awake we cannot do it on our own strength no we must rely on Jehovah as a source of energy to help
us keep awake with Jehovah's help we can fight against Satan's attempts to lull us into a deep sleep so let's now consider four things that we need to do to help us to keep awake one strengthen your personal relationship with Jehovah we've already talked about the many things in this world that Satan uses to weaken any connection humans have with Jehovah so how do do we counteract this if we leave it up to chance without any Earnest effort on our part what is the Default setting well it's snooze our relationship with Jehovah will weaken so
to counteract that default setting of Snooze let's consider the advice found at Philippians 1:1 there at Philippians 1:10 it says that you may make sure of the more important things so that you may be Flawless and not stumbling others up to the day of Christ what do you feel are some of the more important things in life our answer To this question could indicate whether we are starting to become spiritually drowsy but what did Paul have in mind when he wrote this to the Philippians the context gives us a hint the verse just above says
that your love may abound still more and more with accurate knowledge and full discernment so we see the more important things referred to here were things that would draw them closer to God he was encouraging the Philippians to Prioritize their spiritual routine to increase in knowledge of Jehova and also in their love similarly if our goal is is to increase in knowledge of Jehovah and in our love or in other words to strengthen our relationship with Jehovah we also need to do the same prioritize our spiritual routine this includes our prayers daily Bible reading personal
study family worship and regularly attending Meetings this also means that we cannot let anything crowd out these more important things by strengthening our relationship with Jehovah we are choosing to get out of the darkness that is conducive for sleep and putting ourselves in an environment that promotes spiritual alertness if we are close to Jehovah our trust in him naturally grows and we confidently rely on him instead of turning to this world for Solutions this links in to the second thing that we need to do to keep awake two avoid getting distracted or ens snared by
the present system of things in 1 Corinthians 7 Paul writes to the congregation there telling them that the time left is reduced following this statement he indicated that this information should have an effect on the way that they lived their lives 1 Corinthians 7:31 explains and Let those making use of the world be as those not using it to the full for the scene of this world is changing since we can discern that the scene of this world is rapidly changing if we were to get caught up in making too much use of what the
world has to offer it would be like jumping onto a sinking ship of course we have to use the world to some degree in order to live in it for example providing financially Materially for ourselves and our family but the caution in this verse is to avoid using it to the full that is not letting it be the all absorbing priority in our lives so we need to regularly and carefully examine how we are using our time do our priorities show that we believe the time left really is reduced what are we absorbed in being
balanced in the use of our time will stop us from becoming Distracted but what can ens snare us let's read Romans 13: 12-4 together Romans 13: 12-14 the night is well along the day has drawn near let us therefore throw off the works belonging to Darkness and let us put on the weapons of the light let us walk decently as in the daytime not in wild parties and drunkenness not in immoral intercourse and Brazen conduct not in strife and Jealousy but put on the Lord Jesus Christ and do not be planning ahead for the desires
of the flesh these verses highlight the declining moral standards that would be prevalent in the last days practices that the Bible describes as immoral embrazen are not even viewed as such anymore being exposed to such viewpoints maybe even on a daily basis at school or work or through the media could ens Snare us where we could start to feel it's not that bad but don't be led to sleep friends don't let this world erode our moral standards so what do we do well in order to throw off The Works belonging to Darkness it says that
we need to put on the Lord Jesus Christ instead by taking on his characteristics and following his example closely by doing so we will be able to apply the third way to keep awake three Remain alert to the Fulfillment of Bible prophecy we want to take a keen interest in how current world events fulfill Bible prophecy after a significant event has happened it is not uncommon for people to ask were there any warning signs could you have seen it coming a lot of the time the signs were there but only in hindsight were we able
to recognize them now Jesus did not want his followers to learn from hindsight he Wanted us to be prepared on the watch so Jesus provided a composite sign or a group of events that would identify the time period leading up to the end of this system by keeping on the watch for the Fulfillment of this sign we won't be tempted to drift off into spiritual sleep let's read some of this some of the specific events that Jesus for told would make up this composite sign at Matthew 24 starting at verse 7 Matthew 24 verse 7
for nation will rise against nation and Kingdom against Kingdom and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another all these things are a beginning of pangs of distress can you see the correlation between world events and the Fulfillment of this sign consider these facts we only have to look we only have to think about the ongoing conflict Between Russia and Ukraine and Palestine and Israel human advancement has not led to increasing peace according to the global report of food crises the number of people facing high levels of food insecurity has continued
to increase with 82 million people requiring urgent food and livelihood assistance in 2023 each year tens of thousands of earthquakes occur some could be skeptical though Saying that the time period we are living in is not unique there have always been earthquakes but again we need to remember that the Bible foretold not just earthquakes but a number of events that together would uniquely identify the last days Jesus said that the last days would be marked by the simultaneous fulfillment of all these prophecies not just a few or even most of them meditating on the Fulfillment
of Bible prophecies that we see unfolding today helps us to stay awake and alert lastly Jesus spoke of a worldwide preaching campaign that would Mark the end of this world let's continue reading in verse 14 of Matthew 24 and this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited Earth for a witness to all the nations and then the end will come is this preaching work being Fulfilled in our time well it is isn't it Jehovah's Witnesses appr preaching sharing in this important work worldwide in over 1,000 languages this important work is
actually our fourth way to keep awake four help others awake from sleep proclaiming the good news and teaching Bible truths helps us to stay alert how well what is the likelihood of you falling asleep while you are busy in the Middle of a day at work or while cooking dinner activity is what keeps our minds engaged so that we don't easily fall asleep as we read in Luke at the beginning of our Talk Jesus told his followers to pay attention to themselves to fight against spiritual drowsiness in our next scripture notice what the Apostle Paul
adds on to this let's read together 1 Timothy 4 and verse 16 there at 1 Timothy 4:16 Paul Says pay constant attention to yourself and to your teaching persevere in these things for by doing this you will save both yourself and those who listen to you notice what else requires our constant attention our teaching so by helping others to wake up we keeping our minds focused on spiritual things Jehovah knows that this preaching work helps those who listen to wake up from their spiritual Slumber it can save their lives and it also strengthens the faith
of the one carrying out this work it keeps our minds engaged with the truths that we have learned and helps us grow in appreciation for these things have you personally experienced your faith in Creed by explaining your hope to others or what about when you see the reaction of others learning for the first time that God has a name or that the dead can live Again these things help us persevere spiritual activity namely the preaching and teaching work combats spiritual sleep so let's recall the four ways that we can keep awake one strengthen your personal
relationship with Jehovah two avoid getting distracted or ens snared by the present system of things three remain alert to the Fulfillment of Bible prophecy and four Help others awake from sleep Jesus wants us to remain watchful because of what we know and what we do not know what we know the end is coming Jehovah's day is Drawing Near what we do not know when exactly the end will come we can't mark this date in our calendar if we could would we really need to stay awake and alert this fact is highlighted in 1 Thessalonians 5
1:3 let's read this Together 1 Thessalonians 5 1:3 now as for the times and the seasons Brothers you need nothing to be written to you for you yourselves know very well that Jehovah's day is coming exactly as a thief in the night whenever it is that they are saying peace and security then sudden destruction is to be instantly on them just like birth pains on a pregnant woman and they will by no means Escape we see in our image in the near future many will be fooled by the Proclamation of peace and security religious leaders
governments and nations of this world will think that they can continue to sleep soundly but what really is to follow this Proclamation what we see in the picture on the right this will signal that the day of Jehovah is about to begin as we read sudden destruction will be upon them they will be caught by surprise and unable to Escape but what about us friends those who have kept their senses and stayed awake spiritually well we will not be fooled we will discern where current events are heading and we will be ready so don't hit
the snooze but in friends if we continue to respond to Jehovah's loving reminders we won't sleep on as the rest do but we will stay awake stand firm and grow Mighty carrying on right to the end on behalf of the Hall of of Blacktown congregation we thank you for brother kupi for that very timely delivery we appreciate how you highlighted those practical steps in which we can all keep awake during these last days to help us remain Vigilant as we as as we await Jehovah's great day we thank you once again for those of you
visiting we invite you to come at the same time next week for another public discourse the theme then will be why must true Christians be different an Interesting question to which I'm sure we're looking forward to hearing the answer but now comes the time for our consideration of the Watchtower and we invite brother Phil k to the platform study article 33 entitled how the congregation reflects Jehovah's view of Sinners our theme scripture is taken from 1 John 2:1 and it says if anyone does commit a sin we have a helper uh that's a really consoling
verse isn't it but uh the extent of that And what that will mean is something that is really important to each and every one of us focus of our study says what we learned from the way a case of serious wrongdoing was handled in the congregation in the first century CE so we're going to look at it like a case study if you like and um see the elements and what occurred there and what lessons really are fitting for the Christian congregation today to embrace And learn from so it'll give us some insight to on
our heavenly father Jehovah which is really important so let's get our discussion underway we'll invite uh brother Wilson to uh read paragraph one for us Jehovah created humans with free will you use that gift regularly when you make decisions the most important decision that any person can make is the decision to dedicate himself to Jehovah and Become part of his family of worshippers Jehovah desires everyone to do so why because he loves people and wants the best for them he wants them to enjoy a friendship with him and to live forever paragraph one our question
what does Jehovah want for all people thanks uh sister meleno over here in Deuteronomy 30: 19- 20 says there that you must choose life so that you may leave you and your descendants by Loving Jehovah your God listening to his voice and speaking to him so it shows that uh Jehovah wants to enjoy friendship with him and to live forever because he loves people and wants the best for us so in our part to be close to Jehovah we have to have make an important decision to have to dedicate ourselves to Jehovah and become part
of his family of MERS thanks very much sister Rena and brother mlan please yeah in Galatians uh 6 verse 8 Echoes that same thought it says by us uh sewing review to the spirit then we can reap everlasting life from the spirit so it shows that Jehovah wants us to attain everl lasting life yes very good and sister k please and Jehovah has given us the gift of free will but free will doesn't mean that we get to decide what's right and what's wrong only our creator has that right and he has and he desires
all to choose the right path to Life by loving Him listening to his voice and sticking to him as already mentioned in Deuteronomy nice thanks sister cder well let's have a look at paragraph two thanks brother Wilson however Jehovah does not force anyone to serve him he allows each individual to decide what he will do what if a baptized Christian breaks God's law committing a serious sin if he does not repent he must be removed from the Congregation yet even then Jehovah fervently hopes that the wrongdoer will return to him in fact that is an
important reason why he provided the ransom to make forgiveness possible for repentant Sinners our loving God warmly appeals to wrongdoers urging them to repent let's get a reader for first John chap 2 verse one okay um brother um pus please my little children I am writing you These things so that you may not commit a sin and yet if anyone does commit a sin we have a helper with the father Jesus Christ a righteous one nicely R thanks for that so how does Jehovah feel about unrepentant wrongdoers um thanks sister Sue well Jehovah wants that
wrongdoer to return to him as AEK um 13 mentions that um return to me declares Jehovah and I will return to you so Jehovah's provided the ransom to Make that forgiveness possible so he really warmly urges these ones to return to him um and he does that repeatedly so that they can change very nice thanks for that okay sister mullik please we also see if he doesn't repent he might he must be removed from the congregation as 1 Corinthians 5:13 reads while God judges those outside remove the wicked person from among Yourselves yes so the
read scripture here which was our theme scripture really highlights one really important factor and it it illustrates Jehovah's what does it call it fervent hope what does he provided thanks brother bck well the scripture mentions that he uh if someone does commit a sin we have a helper with the father Jesus Christ so How does that work well Jesus Christ gave his life as a ransom of course to help uh those to be a to have their sins forgiven if they're truly repentant yes very good and we can spend a lot of time reflecting on
what Jehovah's done can't we and the more we do the deeper our appreciation of that certainly must grow well let's follow this through a little further in paragraph three thanks brother Wilson Jehovah wants us to adopt this Attit his attitude toward wrongdoing and wrongdoing this article will discuss the way we can do that as you read the article look for how a case of serious wrongdoing was handled in the first century congregation in Corinth secondly what direction the Apostle Paul gave when a wrongdoer repented and thirdly what this Bible account reveals About Jehovah's attitude to
toward Christians who commit a serious sin so our question on paragraph three what will we discuss in this article so let's just take those one by one so what's the first thing we're going to talk about thanks sister doden well Jehovah wants us to adopt his attitude towards wrongdoing and wrongdoers but one first one we can do is how a case of serious wrongdoing was handled in the first century Congregation in Corinthians nice thanks for that uh sister yolab and what direction the Apostle Paul gave when a DOA repented very good thanks and um sister
uh Vicki Fletcher uh what this Bible accounts reels about Jehovah's aptitude toward Christians who commit a serious sin very good so three very powerful things that we're going to discuss uh let's have a look at the first one and this is the case study how serious wrongdoing was Handled in the first century let's read four First Corinthians 5: 1 and 2 reads actually sexual immorality is reported among you and such immorality as is not even found among the nations of a man living with his father's wife and are you proud of it should not you
rather mourn so that the man who committed this deed should be taken away from your midst paragraph reads during his third missionary tour Paul heard disturbing News about the newly established congregation in Corinth a brother in that congregation was having sexual relations with his stepmother such Behavior was shocking and was not even found among the Nations the congregation not only tolerated his behavior but also may have been rather proud of it perhaps some thought that it demonstrated how merciful an understanding God is toward Imperfect humans but Jehovah does not condone wrongdoing among his people with
such a Brazen course the man was surely damaging ing the good reputation of the congregation he could also have been influencing other Christians who were associating with him so what did Paul direct the congregation to do so paragraph 4 our question what situation had developed in the first Century congregation in Corinth thanks sister woodan yeah like in oh sorry we can see here that in the paragraph that a brother in the Kong was sleeping with his stepmother but the congregation and the elders in the congregation were tolerating it that and they were proud of it
so such thing could damage the congregation's reputation okay thanks for that uh sister ianes on Zoom um they have misunderstood God's grace and forgiveness Jehovah and Jesus does not not want to tolerate um wrongdoing but what they want us is to do what they want what they want us to do is to repent our sins do not do the wrongdoing and come back to him very ni they have misunderstood sorry very nice thanks sister Maurice okay so an interesting situation um that obviously the brothers and the Kong had gotten bit around the Wrong way in
they thinking so we see the danger don't we so what did Paul direct the congregation to do well let's find out as we go to paragraph 5 1 Corinthians 513 says while God judges those outside remove the wicked person from among yourselves paragraph reads under divine inspiration Paul wrote a letter directing that the unrepentant sinner be removed from the congregation how were faithful Christians to treat him Paul told them to stop keeping company with him what did that mean Paul explained that this command included not even eating with such a man sitting down to a
meal with someone can easily lead to having further association with him clearly then Paul meant that the congregation should not socialize with that man this would protect the congregation from his corrupting influence additionally their avoiding Close contact with the man might cause him to realize how far he had strayed from Jehovah's ways and he might feel shame and be moved to repent okay so paragraph five we've got the picture to consider here as well the question what did Paul tell the congregation to do and what did he mean uh thanks um brother aera F wrote
her letter directing that the unrepentant sinner must be removed from the congregation and they stop Keeping company with him and also he explained uh that this command include not even eating with such man Paul means that the congregation should not socialize with that man this will this would protect the congregation from his corrupting influence yes very good thanks brother Albert okay sister um mline in 1 Corinthians 5:6 Paul mentions that A little leaven ferments the whole batch of dough so likewise an Unrepentant one could corrupt the whole congregation making it unclean in Jehovah's eyes so
that's why Paul under inspiration told the brothers to stop to stop associating with such ones to keep the congregation clean yes very good brother finny please and also this could have been helpful for the person involved that uh he would start to realize well look uh I'm being shunned I'm not being accepted as I was Previously what have I done that uh needs to be corrected and so uh he could be moved to repent repent so we can see Jehovah's influence all for the right reasons behind what Paul was suggesting yes very good thanks sister
kryder as mentioned in verse 11 Paul went on to say further to not even eating with such a man in the Bible eating together was often a sign of friendship and led to further Association Jewish Christians understood This very well since Jews did not keep company with or eat with people of the nation so Paul made it very clear that the congregation should not socialize with such a man yes so if we just turn our attention to the picture for a moment what what are we seeing here and what's the significance of what's Happening uh
thanks brother limb yeah we we know that Paul wrote this uh under inspiration so this Council uh comes from God uh there's Probably many things Paul would have said throughout his life uh that wasn't inspired but this directly was under divine inspiration yes very good and brother CR and we have to remember this was a young congregation that's learning their way in serving Jehovah and being in the truth so as as Paul as as a like a circuit overseer he's under that inspiration he's guiding and directing them so that they they can can can learn
What they need to do and make that decisive action yes and if you think of the title of our discussion how the congregation reflects Jehovah's view of Sinners how crucial what's going on here was to be for the health of the congregation and for the treatment of Sinners so we can learn a great deal can't we well let's dig a Little Deeper uh paragraph six thanks brother Wilson after sending his letter to the Christians in Corinth Paul began to wonder how the congregation would react to it eventually Titus brought news that delighted him the congregation
had responded well to Paul's letter they had followed his instructions furthermore during the months that passed since Paul sent the letter the wrongdoer had repented of his sinful course he had changed his conduct and attitude and it began to follow Jehovah's righteous Standards what would Paul now direct the congregation to do a question on paragraph six what effect did Paul's letter have on the congregation and on the wrongo thanks brother Gonzalez Paul LS was crucial in helping both the congregation and the Rondo the brothers in Corinth followed the instruction understanding that by separating the unrepentant
Rondo they were protecting the purity of the Congregation and this action not only strengthened Unity among the brothers but also allowed them to see the importance of obeying Jehovah at the same time the Rong doers should show genuine repentance a profound change in behavior and attitude and this process was precisely what Paul wanted for the groer to reflect and sincerely repent very nice thanks brother one okay so very interesting little snapshot historical Snapshot of a congregation on the wrong trajectory being corrected by Jehovah and Jehovah's principles about the treat M of Sinners being applied and
the outcome the trajectory changes doesn't it for the better so what a a beautiful lesson there well how the congregation was to treat the repentant sinner so let's have a look at seven thanks brother Wilson 2 Corinthians 2: 5 through to8 now if anyone has caused sadness he Is saddened not me but all of you to an extent not to be too harsh in what I say this rebuke given by the majority is sufficient for such a man now you should instead kindly forgive and comfort him so that he may not be overwhelmed by excessive
sadness I therefore exal you to confirm your love for him Paul noted that the rebuke given by the majority was sufficient for such a man in other words the discipline had served its purpose toward him what Purpose to lead him to repentance paragraph 7 our question removing the wrong de from the congregation produce what good result uh thanks um sister Jasmine Cox please yeah in the read scripture Paul said that the rebuke and the discipline given by the majority which was the congregation um it was sufficient or enough for the man um who had committed
a sin um to change his ways it served The purpose of moving him to repentance and to recognize that he was committing quite a serious sin and interrupting that relationship he had with Jehovah yes very good and sister bizelli please just stand the front here yeah Paul indicated in his second letter to the congregation that the man should be reined and this man was not all that was required whereever Paul also direct the congregation to kindly forgive and comfort the repentance Sina there some Whatat some ha such a man might not be swallow up up
by being of or I said too much say very good and um thanks sister mlan and Hebrews 12:11 reminds us that if a person is trained by the discipline they receive it yields the Peaceable fruit of righteousness so a wrongo doer may see the seriousness of their sin and be moved to make the necessary changes to turn around and come back yes very good and in that statement you have Encapsulated the purpose of discipline it's just simply put to lead him to repentance sorry did I see a hand there thanks sister that when we when
we see the the rebuke given by the majority so um the reuke was actually not easy for the whole congregation we can see that Paul mentioned several times that it sden them but in the previous Scriptures it mentioned that it is Godly sness yes it may it may make us all sden um uh to Have such a rebuke for toward the person but we know that the results have good outcomes good thanks for that so paragraph eight thanks brother Wilson Paul therefore directed the congregation kindly forgive and comfort the earring brother and confirm your love
for him note that Paul wanted the congregation to do more than merely allow the man back among Jehovah's people Paul wanted them to assure the repentant Man by their words Manner and Actions that they truly forgave him and loved him they would thus make it clear that they welcomed his return to the congregation paragraph 8 our question what did Paul next tell the congregation to do thanks sister sine well Paul directed them to reassure the man of their love and forgiveness by the way that they would speak and act towards him and by doing that
the man would feel that his return was welcomed By them very good thanks for that uh sister Ashley limb um so it's not just enough um to forgive him from the inside um but um we need to show that outwardly um and Paul was making clear that he the brother genuinely felt accepted back into Jehovah's family um and felt that genuine forgiveness um and that reflects the warm and loving nature of Jehovah as we learned last week yes very nice and brother saman please So Jehovah's forgiveness and his Mercy really helps us to see the
impact that it should have on the congregation because we might Focus so much on the wrongdoer that we think it's just sorry it's just between Jehovah and the wrongdoer but actually the congregation is involved in this too we're a family a member of our family has been affected spiritually and they're feeling they're sick and so the congregation has a big role in helping this one to be restored Spiritually good spirit spiritual health and hence restore his relationship with Jehovah and with the congregation at the same time so it's a it's a it's much bigger than
just the individual himself in his wrongdoing very nice thanks brother Simone U sister Millenia I just like what he continue on 2 Corinthians chapter 2 Corinthians 2: 7 and 8 that it says now you should instead kindly forgive and and comfort him so they may Not be overwhelmed by excessive sadness and on the e i therefore exort you to confirm your love for him so it's not just merely allowing the the person to to come back among Jehovah's people but really they have to let this person to feel welcome that they are back to the
congregation yes very good and brother Gonzalez please yes and by confirming love the congregation follow the example of Jehovah who not only forgives but also Welcome with joy those who repent very good so very positive message there isn't it why might some find that hard though let's find out a little more in the next paragraph did some in that congregation feel reluctant to welcome the repentant sinner back into midst the account till does not tell us but it is possible after all his actions brought trouble to the congregation as a whole and perhaps shame to
certain Individuals as well some might have felt that it was unfair that the man should be so warmly accepted as a brother when they were the ones who had fought so hard to remain morally clean why though was it important for the congregation to show genuine love for their their returning brother paragraph nine why might some have been hesitant to forgive the repentant wrongdoer and there's just a note there to compare Luke 15 28-30 so you don't have to do that straight up but let's get some comments first of all um get the brother down
the back there there's a there's a song that's from the '90s from by the ca court and I remember was like you forgiven but not forgot and it was always a song about reminding me about how it's easy to say oh yeah I'm sorry you're forgiven but it's hard to actually let it go because sometimes We all get offended and it's hard to let let go from the thing and what these brothers went through in the congregation how something really bad happened to some of them it's they can you can see how some of them
might have been reluctant to Let It Go but CU and it just shows the in Luke talked about the the prodical son the same thing where the brother did the good thing everything did the right thing but they did not let it it was hard for him to Let go what his brother did so you can imagine a lot of people would be feeling the same expression over there yes very good I think let it goes another song just by the way um okay thanks brother B and also the count of the prodical son um
really reflects on on how Jehovah welcomes back those that uh do stray from the con congregation and from his principles because it represents Jehovah There the father so he welcomes that one back in the next is up to us whether we're prepared to put it behind us just as Jehovah does not only for the prodical son the ones that leave but come back but also for us that we we we're not perfect and we need his forgiveness all the time it's a very clear lesson in just putting it way and moving on yes now it's
an interesting account isn't it that we uh asked to compare because we actually want to Focus on the brother of the son or the lost son as he's described what was the attitude of that brother thanks sister estang we read in Luke 1528 to30 that he became angry because he was always disobedient to his father but he never um his father never gave him a young o young goat to enjoy with his friends but as soon as the youngest son um came back the father started um celebrating and rejoicing so he was um he felt
that it Was unfair maybe so this can be compared to the um people in the congregation maybe they felt that it was unfair the man who repented was to be warmly accepted as a brother again when they um were the ones that had to fight hard to remain morally clean yes very good and brother um on thanks uh the younger brother was once unrighteous in the Jesus parable in Luke uh the older brother now refused to accept this repentant brother uh and This attitude demonstrates his self-righteousness which is another form of lacking righteousness the attitude
of showing no mercy toward the repentant sinner can be likened to the attitude of this old brother very good thanks brother ran and sister Arius I highlighted in the paragraph reluctant trouble shame and unfair and that really puts it all together how he felt he saw the trouble and the shame that his Brother had brought and then he felt it was unfair um what was happening how he was received by the father and um there it's just a combination of so many mixed feelings but we can see how wonderful and merciful Jehovah God is and
how he wants us to develop uh the feelings and the thoughts that Jehovah has for those repentant ones and yes it can be difficult sometimes to uh feel that it's unfair because we're all fighting to Remain loyal and suddenly here we have one that disappeared for a while and then suddenly comes back but um this is where we need to put Jehovah's mind and heart and show that love and mercy towards those ones too yes very good and brother K thanks it just reminds me of the the movie The Prodigal how the young younger brother
aired and committed a serious sin and when he wanted to come back the older brother thought it was unfair that He was treated so kindly by his by his father and we saw saw how Jehovah's qualities came through the father and how he convinced his his older son that he he was loved very much as well and that he should forgive his younger brothers so we see how this is played out and how Jehovah teaches his people today yes very good the um closing sentence in that paragraph said why though was it important for the
congregation to show genuine love for The returning brother well let's have a look at our next paragraph and see how we can answer that imagine what could happen if the elders refused to allow the truly repentant man back into the congregation or if after his return the congregation refused to show him love he could be swallowed up by excessive sadness he could easily feel that his situation was hopeless he might even give up on his efforts to repair His relationship with God even worse if our brothers and sisters in the congregation refused to forgive the
repentant sinner they would put their own relationship with Jehovah in Jeopardy why because they would reflect not Jehovah's forgiving attitude toward repentant wrongdoers but Satan's harsh and merciless attitude they would in effect become tools that the devil could use to Destroy the man spiritually 10 and 11 our question what could happen if the elders refused to forgive the repentant sinner okay um thanks Sister Simone well if the elders were to reject a repentant one Corinthians mentioned that this person could be swallowed up by excessive sadness and the research guide mentions that they're particularly susceptible to
feelings of disgrace and despair when they're in that condition And these feelings if they're intense enough could actually cause them to give up in their efforts to repair that relationship with Jehovah very good thanks for that um we'll get sister Anan furthermore if the congregation with help forgiveness they would risk damaging their own relationship with Jehovah by reflecting Satan's harsh unforgiving attitude instead of Jehovah's Mercy this could allow the devil to use them to destroyed on men Spiritually yes very good that's a interesting perspective isn't it and sister um Kimber Sone thanks and just further
from Sister an's comment in 2 Corinthians 2:11 showing the importance of forgiveness because otherwise we could be overreached by Satan or as the study note says outwitted or taken advantage of and we see in the previous paragraphs that Satan already corrupted the Corinth congregation because they were too Lenient but after the brother repented if the congregation went to the Other Extreme and not shown forgiveness they would be reflecting Satan's personality and not being loving and forgiving and so we would never want to be outwitted and taken advantage of by Satan in this way by not
encouraging a repentant brother yes very good so this is directed At Elders isn't it So it's almost um difficult to comprehend an elder taking a choice that would make him a tool of Satan who really do we want to be used by is this paragraph bringing out thanks brother bck well we want to be used by Jehovah God and do things his way even though at times as imperfect humans it may seem a little different to our own personal in imperfect thoughts or what we may think but we don't want to push a person down
To uh go down the path of Satan's ways so we want to do it Jehovah's ways and not fall in the Trap of uh pushing someone down the path of Satan yes so we want to really focus on Jehovah's Direction there uh and we'll find out more in paragraph 12 thanks brother Wilson how then could the congregation in Corinth imitate Jehovah not Satan by following Jehovah's way of dealing with repentant Sinners notee what some Bible writers Said about Jehovah he is good and ready to forgive said David Micah wrote who is a God Like You
pardoning error and passing over the transgression and Isaiah stated let the Wicked Man leave his way and the evil man his thoughts let him return to Jehovah who will have mercy on him to our God for he will forgive in a large way paragraph 12 our question how could the congregation imitate Jehovah okay we'll get um Bethia Kim please sister for looking at how the Bible writers said said about the wonderful qualities of Jehovah like what Micah said in Micah 7:18 says who is a God Like You pardoning error and passing over the transgression he
will not hold onto his anger forever for he Delights in loyal love the congregation in Corinth can imitate Jehovah by following how he forgives in a large Way by learning how to let go of the ear anger That keeps them from forgiving the repentant sinner through that the congregation can also learn to share love for the repentant sinner like how Jehovah has shared Love by freely forgiving them thanks sister bethia okay um we'll get to brother cabri Tony I like that scripture in mic because we we're dealing on Jehovah's view here and uh who is
like a god like Jehovah who that can actually pardon their we learned last week how Jehovah leads ones up to repentance and and actually can forgive ones but the the scripture there in Isa in Isaiah how how Jehovah shows Mercy in verse 7 but the following verses I love how God's thoughts are far higher than our thoughts his thinking is far grander and that's what we want to have Jehovah's thinking very nice thanks for that and we'll get um sister Vanessa Mo at the Back there Psalms 86:5 David said Jehovah is good and ready to
forgive and he ended that scripture explaining why it says you abound in loyal love for all those who call on you so the congregation could closely imitate Jehovah by increasing their love for those alike who call on Jehovah for forgiveness thanks very much Vanessa um sister Sunday um and in the way uh the Congregation is a physical representation of Jehovah's presence um so as much as we are all responsible for our own relationship with Jehovah as a collective we want to encourage each other and that's only possible if we do all our part um by
imitating Jehovah very nice lots of beautiful comments here okay and sister Vino please and also isah um describe how much is the Jehovah is going to have mercy because he says uh to our God for He will forgive in a large way so Jehovah will forgive in a large way so we need to imitate him it's good that he is the one who judges we just follow what he does and we just love the brother we don't judge yes very good such appealing uh qualities aren't they brother San so when an individual reads those beautiful
scriptures he can't help but feel so much closer to Jehovah but what a shame it would be if when coming into The congregation he didn't feel that same kind of love so it really then shows how much incumbent it is upon us to really reflect Jehovah's mercy and his attitude toward repentant Sinners and and let them feel that in real life the things that they read in the scriptures very good and that leads us really to paragraph 13 so let's read that thanks brother Wilson to imitate Jehovah the Congregation in Corinth had to welcome the
repentant man back and assure him of their Love by following Paul's direction to welcome back the repentant sinner the congregation showed their obedience in all things true only months had passed since he was removed but the discipline had successfully led him to repentance so there would be no point in delaying his reinstatement into the congregation okay so paragraph 13 and We've also got this box uh when was the man in Corinth reinstated to comment on first the question though why was it appropriate to reinstate the repentance sinner into the congregation thanks brother Hab well as
2 Corinthian 2:9 says that it was a proof of their obedience in all things that shows that they are in harmony with the instructions that Paul gave but also the discipline itself it successfully fulfilled its purpose So no need for the UN or repentant sinner to stay outside the congregation it's a time to reinstate him yes very good so there's a whole box here devoted to when so this is really important information so what are the key thoughts here or the key principles I should say okay um thanks brother bck well one point has to
do with when these two letters for the to the Corinthians were written so it's Believed that Paul was on his um M third missionary to so the first one it's believe was written in 55 CE but and it's also believed that uh the second letter was written in the same year but later on in the year so when we take that into account and the person between the letters was already removed already making progress cuz Paul had heard about it so we're talking about months we're not talking about years that this person of course repented
and was accepted back Into the Christian congregation very good thanks uh Brother Gary brother Simone please there was no email or electronic communication back in those days either so some of these communications from Paul perhaps if they could have reached the congregation sooner it might have even been sooner than several or more months uh that this individual was repentant the point was that the report came back to Paul that he was repentant And immediately upon re that report Paul wrote back and gave the instruction to kindly forgive him yes very good so what what's the
key thing here as to how long this potentially could take in an individual case what what are we really looking at thanks brother limb down here yeah it could really just be a a matter of months so timing is is not so important here it's it's more really the heart condition of the person if the person's repentant yes very good so and Sister that uh sander and to point out that there should be no delaying to the reinstatement to the congregation yes and brother crder this is not like a sentencing where they have to serve
time for a crime committed if a person commits a serious crime like this man did and he's contrite and he wants to return to Jehovah and to the congregation then it should be done quickly yes so beautiful to understand Jehovah's view on Sinners and repentance and the actions required reflecting Jehovah's Justice and mercy is our next section let's read 14 and 15 thanks brother Wilson the account about the way the case in ancient Corinth was handled was written and preserved for our instruction from that account we learn that Jehovah does not tolerate serious wrongdoing among
his people he does not take the view that wrongdoers who are Unrepentant should be mercifully allowed to continue associating with his faithful worshippers Jehovah is merciful but he is not permissive nor does he lower his standards indeed to do so would not be merciful at all because it would endanger all in the congregation still we learn that Jehovah does not want anyone to be destroyed he wants to save people whenever possible he shows Mercy to people who have a Change of heart and want to repair their relationship with him thus when the man in Corinth
repented and turned away from his sinful course Jehovah used Paul to explain to the congregation that the man should be forgiven and welcomed back let's get a reader for second Peter chapter 3:9 we get sister Z up the back there Jehovah is not slow concerning his promise as some people some people consider just lowness but he is patient With you because he does not desire anyone to be destroyed but desires all to attain repentance nicely read thanks uh sister Z our question on 14 and 15 and we've also got the picture to consider uh what
have we learned from the way the case in ancient Corinth was handled what have we learned uh thanks sister Angelina Schmidt well from the account in 2 Peter 3:9 shows us how Jehovah was not slow concerning his promise but he's patient Because he desires all to attain to a a repentance so from this we can see that Jehovah is really patient when it comes to those to those who are truly repentant and he show Mercy to them because he wants them to gain life and he can read Hearts unlike weak weak can't do that but
he sees those who truly wish to change their ways and come back to him and so with the account in Corinth we can see how he used Paul to show the congregation how this man was Truly sorry because he could read his heart and how he should be forgiven and welcomed back in immediately very good brother Z and Jehovah he has a perfect equilibrium of Mercy but he's also not permissive he doesn't lower his standards he wants the um wrongdoer to be able to um fix their ways and to be accepted back into the congregation
but to restore that relationship with him yes very good um sister bizelli while You're here even a person commit a serious sin his life is still precious to Jehovah think of the high price the Jehovah the sacrifice of his beloved Son for the life of Sina Jehovah compassion reach out to help such one to return to him yes very good um let's have Jonah down the back there thanks Jonah Jehovah loves everybody to be in the paradise yeah yes very good thanks Jonah and uh brother cabuy and Jehovah does love everybody to be in the
paradise but the the thought there in Proverbs 13:20 is's also a danger of not walking with unwise persons and we perhaps said that to our children who where did you learn that keep away from Young Johnny because he's a threat to your children Jehovah lovingly as well he wants to protect us and we can relate to that but the world sometimes feels that's that that Shunning is bit harsh we want Jehovah's view very good and um thanks sister Jasmine and one Watchtower reference about forgiveness um it talks about if we do not accept a repentant
wrongdoer back into the Cor ation we're in effect calling him not deserving of Jehovah's patience and everlasting life and that kind of viewpoint can negatively impact our relationship with Jehovah and also the development of the um repentant Wrongdoers relationship as well yes very good and um Brother Davis please Jehovah is shows Mercy to those repentant and in Ezekiel 33 vers 11 it shows us that so be true he says as surely As I Am Alive declares The Sovereign Lord Jehovah I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked but rather that someone Wicked change
his way and keep living turn back turn back from your bad bad ways for why should you die so Jehovah's wants people to Turn back and enjo enjoy the relationship with him once again very good thanks for bringing that scripture to and sister Vina and as was read Jehovah doesn't take pleasure in the day of the weeked so I like what the paragraph says at the end it is that Jehovah used Paul to explain to the congregation that the man should be forgiven and welcome back so now Jehovah feels him that way and he used
Paul to tell the congregation that They should reflect Jehovah's view because maybe that that's the way that Jehovah is he tell us what to do and he used Paul in this case and tell us through the Paul's letters that yes very good okay and sister melencio sorry your hands blending into the background there uh so Romans 15:4 this is all written uh to preserve for our instructions so this is uh to follow Through that although Jehovah is merciful but he is not permissive and he he doesn't low his standards so Jehovah does not tolerate serious
wrongdoing but still he wants everybody to go to go back to him and have uh repent to their s to what have they done because really like in 2 Peter 3:9 again it's emphasized there that Jehovah wants everyone not to be destroyed yes okay the picture what happened to it There it is okay so if you think of our subheading here reflecting Jehovah's Justice and mercy what what are we learning from this image okay okay let's have sister Ashley Lim please oh we see the brothers and sisters taking the opportunity to show Jehovah's love um
and for the sister being welcomed back um this first meeting we don't know what she's gone through to make it to this point so um Feeling his love like this would make her feel right at ease um and like she's back where she belongs and that this is really Jehovah's people and it could be one of those moments she could never forget yes very good and brother limb yeah and we can see in this image um Jehovah's Mercy forgiveness is only a half of it and and the other half really is to to welcome them
uh to comfort them and that completes Jehovah's Mercy there yes very good let's read 16 thanks Brother Wilson our review of the way the case in Corinth was handled has helped us to see Jehovah's love righteousness and Justice in action are you not moved to give our God added praise after all we are sinners every one of us and we need his forgiveness each of us has reason to be Greatful to Jehovah for the ransom which makes forgiveness possible how comforting how reassuring To know that Jehovah truly loves his people and wants the best for
them 16 our question how do you feel about the way the case in Corinth was handled thanks um sister krupi that case beautifully highlighted Jehovah's qualities of Love righteousness and Justice and because we're all Sinners we need his forgiveness so Jehovah's provision of the ransom provides us with comfort and reassurance knowing that Jehovah loves Us and that he wants the best for us yes very good and brother doden yeah despite all what the world might say about the way we handle this matter we we can see that Jehovah's love and Justice is clearly shown here
in the way to handle unrepented Sinners and the way to forgive and welcome repented Sinners so we will stick to what Jehovah says no matter what the world's point of view might be at a given time thanks brother D sister Esim what I really love about second Corinthians 2 58 is just Jehovah doesn't just forgive he also cares deeply about how the one who returns might feel after returning and seeks to heal his wound from past pain so that this direction that was given after getting a wrongdoer back deepens my appreciation for Jehovah's deep love
and and care for us yeah beautiful thanks for that and brother crder what a powerful case study as You've highlighted we we see through this that not only we see the the gift of free will we see the gift of the ransom and now we see these many gifts of Jehovah's mercy and his love how grateful we are to have such a marvelous God yes very good let's uh have a look at our final paragraph Thanks brother Wilson 17 what then about handling cases of wrongdoing today how can the congregation Elders reflect Jehovah's Desire to
lead a wrongdoer to repentance how should the congregation react when the elders decide to remove or reinstate a person these questions will be discussed in the following articles thanks for your fine reading today brother Wilson we've certainly enjoyed that 17 our question what will be discussed in the following articles thanks sister doden one other question is what then about handling cases of wrongdoing today Yes very good okay and sister mallik how can congregation Elders reflect Jehovah's desire to lead a wrong wrongdoer to repentance yes very good and the final one there um sister wadwani and
the last one is how should the congregation react when the elders decide to remove or to reinstate a person yes very good so and brother saan thanks yeah so sorry number questions but there's a just a point here is that We're going to probably over the next few weeks notice a few adjustments few changes in the way things are done all for the better of course as the light gets brighter but we can be assured of one thing and that is as we've studied in this article we now have the case study we have the
precedent and these are the principles that we're now going to see being enlarged and in a modern day application yes and perhaps the the thing to remember this information was Discussed at the annual meeting last year so we've actually been um enjoying the application of it all this time and this study article's just bringing us all up to date on the same page so uh it's really good to have it all clearly set before us isn't it so with that in mind then how would you answer what does Jehovah desire for us for as many
people sorry as possible uh thanks sister Sarah Tearian Jehovah create us with free will but Jehovah desire everyone us to make decision to dedicate ourself to Jehovah and also to become part of his family worshippers yes very good and um thanks sister Hannah and also Jehovah wants uh all his worshippers to remain in his uh love and inside the congre ation and so he encouraged all the Sinners to repent and to go back to good spiritual condition very nice thanks for that and uh sister Aera and also he wants them to to enjoy a friendship
with him and to live forever very nice thanks sister Christina and our next question what did Paul direct the congregation in Corinth to do about an unrepentant wrongdoer uh sister Wy please to protect the congregation from his corrupting influence it was under divine inspiration Paul directed that the unrepentant sinner was to be removed from the congregation um which meant That the congregation also had to um not socialize or stop keeping company with such a person but this would also lead the unrepentant sinner to be moved to repent to Jehovah yes very good very clear instruction
wasn't it and then the final one when the wrongdoer repentant what did Paul direct the congregation in Corinth to do okay um thanks brother Vino uh to forgive and comfort the the earing brother and to confirm uh their Love for him so uh the congregation in the words Manner and actions should show like uh they forgave him and love him yes very good and sister crder please and often repentant wrongdoers might have feelings of disgrace and despair so these ones need to be assured that they are loved through our words and our actions yes very
good and thanks brother cassa buy because even failing to show love uh to our brother and sister Ephesians Chapter um 4:27 do not uh give the devil an opportunity so we don't want to give the devil an opportunity to to snatch out our brother who's weak but to show that love and even as today's text highlighted to love our brother yes very good so how the congregation reflects Jehovah's view of Sinners does your view of Sinners reflect Jehovah's view as the congregations should well it's really important that it does and we want to be Able
to reflect on what we've leared today and take those uh lessons to heart and apply them uh in our own lives and the way we look at uh Sinners because the reality is each and every one of us is a sinner right and we none of us are exempt from Jehovah's view of Sinners and if we take that to heart then it helps helps us to view things correctly from his perspective well thanks so much for your comments today we really appreciate uh your efforts in Preparation so that you could bring uh your beautiful gifts
along to our meeting and share them with your brothers and sisters that um brings us to the end of our program today so so let's close our meeting now with song9 love intensely from the heart so we invite you to stand and join in singing that song and following that we'll invite brother Nicholas krupi to close in Prayer hello again everyone welcome back to our channel in today's video we're going to be discussing some of the student assignments for this week October 14th to 20th 2024 friends we welcome you thanks for joining us and we
appreciate how Jehovah organization has been training us to improve our reading skill is very important ability and we have for this time the portion of Psalm 98 to 99 verse 9 okay and the study to work on is number 11 from the teaching brochure enthusiasm and this is very important and very significant we reflect enthusiasm not just when we are having a conversation but even if we are reading aloud we could display this quality of enthusiasm and that's the difference between a flat reading versus an enthusiastic reading but how to do it let's take take
A look of some of the advice from the teaching brochure about this matter the first one is get your heart involved as you prepare to deliver your presentation think deeply about the importance of your message get to know your material so well that you can express yourself from the heart and that's what we observe this brother is doing in this picture is preparing himself before his assignment and good preparation is the Key is very essential and the third Point says about speak with Zeal use natural gestures and sincere facial expressions to reflect your feelings both
um important and advice is the last one take care not to distract your listeners by using the same gesture repeatedly as a mannerism make your gestures meaningful Express enthusiasm primarily when teaching main points and Motivating your listeners to take action don't Tire your listeners by projecting a high level of enthusiasm throughout your presentation so this is very important and very significant let's take a look of the portion the passage to read this week PM 98 to 999 lot of NS and it start is a very positive reading very very significant reading in And a very
energic message it says Sing to Jehovah a new song for he has done wonderful things his right hand his holy arm has brought about salvation Jehovah has made known his salvation he has revealed his righteousness before the Nations has remembered his loyal love and faithfulness to the house of Israel all the ends of the Earth have seen the salvation by our God shout in Triumph to Jehovah all the Earth be cheerful and Shout joyfully and sing praises sing praises to Jehovah with the harp with the harp and the melodious song with the trumpets and the
sound of the horn showed in Triumph before the king Jehovah Let the Sea Thunder and all that FS it the Earth and those dwelling in it let the rivers clap their hands let the mountains shout joyfully together before Jehovah for he is coming To judge the Earth he judge the inhabited Earth with righteousness all the peoples with fairness Jehovah has become king let the peoples tremble he seats enthroned above the sherbs let the Earth shake Jehovah is great in Zion and he High over all the peoples let them praise your great name for it's all
inspiring and holy is a mighty king who loves Justice you have firmly established what is upright you have brought about Justice and righteousness In Jacob exalt Jehovah Our God and bow down at his foot stool he is harly Moses and Aaron were among his priests and Samuel was among those calling on his name they good call to Jehovah and he would answer them he would speak to them from the pillar of cloud they kept his reminders and the decree that he gave to them oh Jehovah Our God you answered them you were a God who
pardoned them but you punished them for their sinful Deeds Exalt Jehovah Our God and bow down before his hly Mountain for Jehovah our God is Holy so friends that's concerning the reading the assignment number three for this week and it's a very energic reading so that that requires enthusiasm instead of a flat reading or a reading with no emotions and no feelings okay then we have the second one the apply yourself to the field Ministry section and probably you notice that we won't have as student assignments as some demonstrations as we used to have normally
both we have a discussion about the love people rure lesson 10 points 1 to 5 and this is about commitment what Jesus did and how to imitate Jesus about commitment and this is really important because he teaching us about commitment and there is a principle we were determined to impart to you not Only the good news of God but also our very selves because you become so beloved to us this discussion includes a video and some of the questions like why might Nicodemus and prefer to approach Jesus at night and by meeting with Nicodemus at
night how did Jesus show that he was committed to making disciples and what do we learn from Jesus about this matter we show that we Love people by being committed to helping them become disciples and how imitate Jesus study a time and place convenient for your Bible student he may prefer specific day of the week of time of day would he be more comfortable studing at his workplace in his home or in a public place to extend possible adjust your schedule and to accomodate his needs to accommodate his needs another piece of advice is study
Regularly if you will be away don't cancel the study session instead consider could you conduct the study at another time that week could you conduct your study over the phone or by Zoom could you ask another friend to conduct and finally pray for the right attitude this is very important ins significant because ask Jehovah for help to remain committed to your student even if he struggles to study regularly or to apply scriptural Cel likely your student Has many good qualities pray for help to focus on them so friends that's going to be our apply yourself
to the field Ministry for this week and the assignment number three so that's a r for this video thank you so much for joining us we hope you have a wonderful day be safe and hope to see you in your next video
