[Music] [Music] it took place a few hours ago and I don't think I'll be sleeping tonight so I'm staying in a remote part of the United Kingdom for a break from work which means I have more time for my hobbies like photography I found a NIC looking group of trees in a nearby forest and set up my camera and tripod as the sun was going down to get that extra nice Vibe as I'm happily taking photos I see a woman walk by the entrance to the arch trees she had parked her car next to mine
when I arrive then she walked by a couple of times staring at me for for a long time each time she passed so I assume she wants to come up this path but when she saw that I'm taking photos she decides to walk somewhere else about 5 minutes later she appears again this time walking towards me with a strange limp she stops once and stares at me for a few seconds then starts walking towards me again I ask her if she's okay I'm starting starting to put my camera away and get my tripod ready for
self-defense if needed because the situation feels really weird she starts grunting at me then stops and stares again but then I realize this woman is actually a man in women's clothes an uneasy moment passes and he starts grunting again he walks to the edge of the path grabs a pile of leaves and starts throwing them around I call my friend to tell her what happened and ask her to stay on the phone in case the person comes back I decide to take a couple more photos and then leave for a good 10 minutes I hear
the crunching of leaves circling me in the forest but I convinced myself it's just Wildlife then there is complete silence so I take the photos and since I haven't seen or heard the person for about 15 minutes I assume I'm safe but then out of nowhere I notice a man walking towards me from the entrance it's the same guy he has changed into men's clothes and as he walks past me he gives me a grin that sends shivers down my spine I'm still on the phone at this point holding my tripod over my shoulder just
in case I hurried to my car and got inside quickly as as I did I saw him come out from the lane I had just been down he stopped looked around and then started walking towards my car purposefully I started the engine and drove away as fast as I could then when I felt safe I drove straight to the police station and informed them about everything but they didn't take it seriously since nothing really happened and they thought he might just be trying to crank me but I don't think he was doing that as my
gut feeling tells me he had a really bad [Music] plan it was Sunday morning and I was up early I live in the suburbs but my parents have a farm a short drive away I love VIs visiting the farm because that's where my dog Molly lives Molly is a mixed breed dog she has soft brown fur and a wagging tail that shows how happy she is to see me my dad and I got in the car drove for a bit and arrive at the farm I jumped out of the car and hugged Molly right away
my parents always got mad when I hugged her as I would smell like her all day I put her leash on and asked my dad if I could take her for a walk now my dad always thought we would just walk down the road and back but I like taking Molly to the forest instead I felt calm and happy there more than anywhere else the tall trees singing birds and fresh air made it nice so we turned and went to the forest I usually took her leash off so she could explore on her own Molly
would run around sniffing everything and wagging her tail most of the time I would carve my name into the trees or look for interesting things then one day I was playing baseball with some rocks and a wooden leg probably from an old table then I heard it Molly was barking at something this wasn't normal when we were in the forest I thought it was a fox or another animal so I quickly grabbed the wooden leg like a weapon I knew I wouldn't attack a fox but holding the wooden leg made me feel a bit safer
then I called out for her but she kept barking at something or someone this was strange because she always came when I called her I followed her barks and found something I'll never forget there was a man probably in his late 50s crouching and digging this was the first time time I had ever found someone in the woods he was completely ignoring Molly and chopping at the ground for some reason sir are you okay I don't think I understood how serious the situation was at the time he turned around and I saw his face he
said come here boy look what I've dug up I was scared that if I didn't go to him he might start chasing me and I wanted to avoid that at all cost I got closer but stayed a safe distance away I didn't see anything except an empty hole then he went back to digging the ground with his old Spade so I used this time to get my dog and started walking away slowly so he wouldn't notice but then I took one last look at the man his head was deep in the hole I was curious
so I kept watching even though I knew it probably wasn't a good idea then he finally stood up and I got a chill down my spine when I saw he was carrying a bone in his mouth now I didn't know which animal it came from or if it came from an animal at all I had seen enough and quickly started running with my dog as we ran I heard him laughing and then saw something flying from the corner of my eye it was the Spade I heard him yell damn it and that made me run
even faster I knew the forest well so I wasn't scared of getting lost I pushed through branches and bushes until I got out of the forest I didn't stop running until I reached the garage where my dad was testing lights on our tractor but I didn't tell him anything about the man as I was afraid he would get angry and not let me walk Molly anymore after that I never went to the forest alone [Music] again it was the weekend and my kid wanted to go hiking so I decided to take her to an Old
Forest I used to visit when I was younger the forest has a beautiful long straight Trail along a canal at the end it opens up to a peninsula with a view of the Bay of Miami but there is only one way in and one way out if you are at the end of the trail which is about a 45-minute walk from the entrance the only way to get out if you are trapped is to jump in the water this place is perfect for hiking so we got out from my car and started walking the entrance
is right by a busy road with lots of cars passing by there used to be Australian pine trees that hid walkers from the people in cars but the city cut them down as they didn't belong to the area we were easy to see from the road as we walked the ground in the forest is lower than the road so anyone driving by could look down and see us that's why I think he knew it was just two females and did it on purpose now that I think back I wonder what I was thinking two females
walking on a lonely trail with no way out except the way we came in we were sitting and looking at the water of an estuary Mangrove for a while when I got up I saw a big heavy guy in a light blue shirt walking towards us so I stopped and just stared at him my daughter is nine and she didn't understand why he could be dangerous she asked if we were going to keep walking to the ocean part and I told her no I'm just going to keep looking to see what he does in my
mind I thought if he was harmless he would just keep walking and pass Us by when he saw me staring he started pretending to take photos but he did it in a crazy and weird way randomly pointing at things all that was there were rocks and dry grass because it hadn't rained not much to take pictures of my kid said oh look he's just taking photos yeah of what what's he taking pictures of grass and rocks who does that this guy is definitely up to something my daughter has better eyesight than I do and soon
saw that I was right but not only that she also couldn't see any camera in his hand this was my first big red flag for about 5 minutes I just kept watching to see what he would do I wasn't going to let my guard down and walk with him behind us and I wasn't going to walk towards him so I stayed put I guess he saw that I wasn't going to turn my back on him so he pretended to walk away but I could still see him hiding behind some trees he was wearing a light
blue shirt so he really stood out behind the Brown dead branches feeling brave I waved at him like saying yeah I still see you that made me realize he was planning something bad he probably wanted me to let my guard down and keep walking down the trail but I wasn't moving by that point he must have been done with us and started walking back to the entrance I waited a few more minutes and when I was was sure he wasn't coming back I started walking back to my car so my daughter asked if we were
going to keep hiking no sweetie we're going home now but we will come back later I know those woods really well so I took a path that was away from the one he left on you can only leave in One Direction but the street is long and has two ways to go one way is by the bridge but it's full of spiny branches and the main entrance is to the right I took the way to the left it would be far from the main entrance so if he was waiting for me there I'd be safe
as I walked back the last few yards I saw his white truck parked by the entrance but by the time I reached the top of the hill he was already gone when I got home my partner took me to a store and bought me some pepper spray I've been there a million times alone over the years and have seen men there before without any problems but this was definitely different I'm glad I scared him off from now on I'll carry the pepper spray in my hand my daughter and I could have ended up in danger
today but I was ready for anything it was a good lesson for my kid [Music] this took place with me and my friend Sam a few days ago we like exploring nature and walking outside our friends had shown us a beautiful place in Wisconsin called Grant Park and we had visited it with them three or four times it was a nice trip we walked around saw beautiful views of Lake Michigan sat in tree branches and talked about books games and other things we had started a new game called Hunter the darkness a tabletop RPG like
Dungeons and Dragons just so you know she and I are both around 52 or 53 tall the first time we went alone it was around dusk we wanted to take some pictures to edit for the game the park is huge with many bridges paths and winding roads we were walking over a bridge next to a road with thick Woods on both sides as we crossed a car drove by a guy rolled down the window and yelled at us hey should I give you a ride but we ignored him and kept walking across the bridge then
less than a minute later the same car came back from the other direction this time the driver's side window rolled down and the driver another man called out we walked faster and the car drove away just as we were about to reach the end of the bridge we saw the car coming at us again from the original direction we ran into the trees and up the hill we heard the car stop and the two men yelling for us we kept running and hid in the dark for about 15 minutes until they left then we ran
back to our car and drove away you might think we would avoid the park after that but once we had left and warmed up with hot chocolate from Perkins we laughed about how scared we had been we went back to the park with our male friends a few times and nothing scary happened so Sam and I decided to go back by ourselves again this time with a camera to take more pictures as we hadn't gotten the shots we wanted the first time we both feel really silly for going back alone at the same time and
in the same place but since we had been back a few times with our male friends and nothing had happened we thought we were just being overly worried anyway we went back and were about to walk over the same bridge when a car drove by as you might guess the window rolled down and a guy made a loud noise at us this time we didn't wait for them to drive around again instead we quickly hitd in the woods and started walking back toward the pier we decided to skip the other photo spot and just explore
the pier instead hoping to take some pictures of the lake it wasn't exactly what we wanted but we thought we could get some nice Sunset photos since the sun was almost down the pier is set up with a long road that goes from the top of a big grassy Hill down a curve and into the parking lot if you walk from near the pier down the right side of the parking lot you'll find a small bridge that leads to a neighborhood with a tennis court next to The Preserve so we started walking down the road
to the lake when the same car from before drove into the parking lot by the pier they didn't say anything as they drove past but we decided decided to slow down and think about whether we wanted to continue to the pier the car turned around in the parking lot and came back up the road when it reached us it stopped so we quickly turned and started walking down the hill then all the windows rolled down and we saw there were four guys and one girl in the car one of them said hey you're so cute
come join us we've been waiting for you another added come on don't be shy we just want to have some fun now keep in mind that we are both small women but we were bundled up in big winter coats and hats you could barely see our faces or shapes so they didn't have much to go on WE ignored them but then we heard someone yell we're coming back for you Sam and I decided not to take any chances and began running down the hill we heard shouting and saw them disappear over the top we ran
toward the bridge since it was the closest place after you cross the bridge to the left there is a concrete deck with a drop off to a ramp about 5 ft tall so if you jumped off the bridge right away you'd land at the bottom of the ramp and couldn't be seen from the other side if you crouch down that's exactly what we did we heard the car speed back down the hill Hill and then four doors opened and closed as they all started shouting and laughing Sam and I were scared and huddled together then
when it was quiet near the bridge for a while we decided to peek out to see if they had left or not if they had we plan to sneak back up the hill or find another way to escape we peaked out and saw a guy at the other end of the bridge he clearly saw us and yelled to his friends he started running toward us so we ran toward the development and went around the side of the tennis court with three of the guys chasing us one of the guys was very close to us about
30 ft away but the others were catching up quickly we took a fast turn between two houses in the neighborhood and luckily never saw them again we finally got back to our car by walking slowly through the forest preserve darting across roads and being extremely scared that same night we called our friends who usually went to The Preserve with us from then on they insisted on coming with us every time we went there
