Many years ago, a war between cars and humans wiped out the latter, leaving the machines as kings of the Earth. Or maybe. .
. An alien race, Transformer style, colonized the Earth killing all humans and taking power. Or maybe.
. . There is a parallel universe where humans, instead of evolving from the monkey, evolved from the car.
I don't know. The thing is that in this world all cars are alive. So today at "Summing It Up".
. . .
. . "Cars" trilogy.
This is a world where cars are alive. But it's not like in "Toy Story" that we see what cars do when they're alone. No.
They are cars evolved into living beings. They have mouth, teeth, tongue, eyelids. .
. They go to the bathroom. .
. There are also males and females. They even have children.
They work in stores, form rock bands found villages, go on vacation. Everything like humans. But they are cars.
They even have movies! "Toy Story" car version, "Monsters Inc" car version. Animals are also cars.
Like these cows and these insects that are little cars. And this is happening all over the world! Also in England they have a queen.
They have governments! There is also a Pope! Therefore there are religions!
It's not just the cars, the helicopters are alive too. And the planes, and the trains, and the ships, and the tractors! Everything that has an engine has life!
And the origin is unknown. The only thing that is certain is that there were once dinosaurs. Are they talking about common dinosaurs or car dinosaurs?
Those are questions that will never be answered, ok? Ok, Lampy! This is the story of the arrogant Lightning McQueen.
a car that races cars. His competitors are cars, the audience are cars, the pit crew are cars, the journalists are cars. .
. Everyone is a car! The thing is that in a very important race Lightning McQueen ties with The King, a very friendly veteran car.
And he also ties with Chick, a very bad car that has a moustache. Why does he have a moustache? If he has a moustache.
. . does that mean that those who don't have it, shave?
Cause this one has something like a beard. . .
Well, anyway. . .
The three are tied and the following week they will break the tie. Lightning McQueen leaves and his partner, a truck, takes him home. Lightning gets inside his friend and he carries him!
I mean. . .
Both are alive but one gets inside the other! But on the way the truck falls asleep and Lightning McQueen falls, and ends up lost in a village. A village that was very popular many years ago because it was crossed by the main route.
Then another route was built and the village was forgotten. And everyone was very sad. There Lightning McQueen will meet a lot of friends who will make his life much happier.
And they are. . .
Mater, as his unbearable friend. Sally, as Lightning's romantic interest. Sheriff, as the cop.
And Doc, as the wise man of the village. Some time ago he was a great racer but then he had an accident and was left aside. A very tough story.
When he arrives, Lightning unintentionally destroys the main street. Then he is sentenced to fix it. Lightning is so arrogant that at first he refuses.
He wants to go to the race. But little by little he will learn to be a good car, to be humble and to be a good friend. He will also learn how to turn on a dirt road and drive backwards.
The thing is that Lightning finds out that Doc was a very important racer and tells the whole town. Doc gets very angry! Of course, he was exposed.
Then he calls the press to get Lightning out. She said it, Doc! You are so selfish!
Lightning returns to the city and participates in the final car race. But he's really sad. .
. And he races really sad. .
. Until all of a sudden. .
. ! Yeah!
His friends! What a joy! They came to support their friend!
Now the race begins. Lightning goes full speed ahead and passes its competitors. Look how he passes them!
Here he tries to pass the one with the moustache but he hits him and Lightning loses his balance and almost crashes. But no! Because he learned to drive backwards!
Then he passes the one with the moustache. But the one with the moustache passes him again. And Lightning passes him again.
What an exciting race! Oh no! The one with the moustache pushes him to the grass!
It seems that he won't get out of this one! Wait! He learned how to turn in the grass!
He manages to turn and passes the mustache one again. Lightning is about to cross the finish line, he is about to be crowned champion! But.
. . Watch this.
. . Watch how the car ends.
. . Mustache hits the King.
And King is out of the race. And Lightning, who was about to win the race and be crowned champion, stops. And the one with the moustache goes by.
And he wins the race. Congratulations, Moustache. .
. You're the champion. But everyone is watching how Lightning helps King cross the finish line.
Because he learned that it doesn't matter to be a champion. What matters is being good to the old people. The film ends with the village becoming popular again.
A Ferrari visits some Italians' tire shop (Schumacher does the voice) Mater fulfills his dream of riding in a helicopter. And Lightning stays in the village with the girl. But things don't end here.
They should have, but they didn't. The thing continues in "Cars 2: The Revenge of the Cars". Everything was going very well in town, except for Doc.
Cause he died. Now. .
. How do cars die? Does their engine break down?
Can't they get a motor transplant? Well. .
. Actually, Paul Newman, who did Doc's voice, died. Goodbye Paul Newman.
We will always remember you for "The Sting". What a great movie! Watch it!
But that's not a problem. Then an Italian car challenges Lightning to race in Japan. But that's not the problem either.
Then Lightning invites Mater to accompany him. But that's not the problem either. There we find out that a guy (a car actually, but we'll call him "guy") is going to promote an ecological fuel that he discovered.
But that's not the problem either. Then at the event Mater poops himself. But that's not the problem either.
The PROBLEM is that there are some mobsters who want to boycott green fuel so that cars continue to use petroleum-based gasoline. But, if there is a problem, then there is also a solution A James Bond car. He can hang himself, take pictures, shoot, ride on water, ride under water, among many other skills.
He also has an assistant who can fly. Then, through a succession of confusing and avoidable events they believe Mater is a spy and he joins in spying on the mobsters. While Lightning is on a race that nobody cares about, Mater is going to carry out chases by land, by air, he is going to infiltrate the mafia, he is going to shoot mobsters.
. . I don't want to make a comparison but.
. . The "Cars" saga became the "Fast and Furious" saga so gradually that I didn't realize.
. . The thing is that the mobsters blow up cars to prove that this ecological fuel is shit.
And when everyone decides not to use that fuel anymore, Lightning decides to continue using it. That's why they want to kill him. But, despite being the mafia, they don't kill him directly.
They put a bomb on Mater and tie him up in the gears of Big Ben. The plan is that Mater frees himself to save his friend, goes to find him and there the bomb will explode. Not a bad plan.
. . but.
. . why did they tie him up?
He could have died and the plan failed. Luckily it didn't fail, and Mater escaped and went to look for Lightning. And that's when he noticed the bomb!
And, thanks to a succession of unclear facts and coincidences, he realized that the leader of the mafia who was behind this business of killing cars was none other than. . .
. . .
the guy who created ecological fuel. So. .
. the guy created the ecological fuel and then demonstrated that it worked badly so that people would buy regular fuel again. What a shitty plan!
Then they put him in jail, Mater is named Sir, he begins to date the flying car and they live happily ever after. Well, not for ever. .
. Cause it all goes on in "Cars 3: Now It's Personal". Mr Pixar realized that the whole idea of special agents, the mafia and such things was not working.
Then they returned to the conflicts about car racing. Because Lightning kept racing very well. .
. until he realized that a car called Storm is much faster. And the worst thing happens to Lightning, in an attempt to win.
Look at this! Watch what they do with the car! Everyone tells him that he should retire.
But he remembers what happened to Doc. And he also remembers the girls' advice. Never lose faith!
Then he goes to a company to train to beat Storm in a final race. Here he meets Cruz Ramirez, his coach. And everything starts to look like "Rocky IV".
Because while Storm trains with the best technology like Ivan Drgo, Lightning trains in more rustic conditions just like Rocky. As he trains he realizes that Cruz Ramirez is a very good racer. BIG DATA Race day arrives and Lightning is ready to beat Storm.
Just like in the first movie, he could have won. But just like in the first movie, he puts his friends first. But just like in the first movie, he loses the cup for helping others.
Then he gives Cruz Ramirez the place to race. Is this legal? I don't know!
It's a world where cars are alive! Nothing makes sense! Then Cruz Ramirez, despite having little experience in the world of racing, beats Storm and is crowned the undisputed champion of car racing in the car world.
The saga ends with everyone very happy and with Lightning changing his color to work as a coach for Cruz Ramirez and to sell more toys. He's just a stupid Lightning McQueen with a new color. He still embodies all the awful stereotypes he did before.
But he's got a new color. This was the "Cars" saga summary. If you want to see more Pixar summaries here I leave you some.
